A young woman named Pyrrha Nikos sits on a transport away from everyone else. The other people had swarmed her the second she got on, but it died down once everyone had an autograph. Well everyone except the weird green haired girl on the other side of the transport who wanted Pyrrha to sign her feet. Pyrrha shudders at the memory. With a sigh she opens her Scroll and pulls up a photo that had been taken a few years back. In the photo Pyrrha was next to two people. A silver eyed brunette with a kind smile, and a blue eyed scraggly haired blond. On the lower left corner it read,
My First Mistral Regional Tournament
With Jaune And Latias
Pyrrha smiles remembering that day. She was so nervous for the tournament she almost backed out of it. Half of Pyrrha wished she'd actually done that, though that other half knows she had enjoyed every second of those tournaments. Getting her thoughts back on track she recalled that she had stopped at a noodle stand called A Simple Wok before the tournament started. That was when Pyrrha met Latias, and Jaune. Latias was tending to the stand while Jaune was simply a customer there for food. After some talking, laughing, and reading from a notebook the three of them had become friends.
4 years back Pyrrha and Jaune laugh as Latias balanced a full bowl of noodles on a chopstick that was on the tip of her nose. "Seriously," Jaune says. "How dose she do that?" His words were filled with humor in them as he spoke. Latias simply smiles before sticking her tongue out causing more laughter.
"Dose that answer your question Jaune?" Pyrrha asks playfully. Latias snickers as she grabs the utensil and bowl setting both on the counter.
Jaune rolls his eyes. "Ha, ha. Very funny." He says. "Seriously though how do you do it?"
Latias ponders for a moment before writing her response into her notebook. "Good posture?" It read. Pyrrha giggles to that and to Latias giving a shrug along with it. Jaune on the other hand looked exasperated.
"Even after all these years Jaune still never got his answer." Pyrrha mutters to herself with a thoughtful smile. She's pulled away from her memory's as her Scroll rings with the screen flashing with Jaune's name and a picture of him in a wicker hat. Quickly she answers.
"Hey Pyrrha!" He greets. "I wanted to call and wish you luck at Beacon"
Pyrrha giggles. "Jaune you didn't have to."
"Sure I did." Jaune disagrees. "I wasn't able to see you off so I did the next best thing."
Pyrrha's lips curl up into a bigger smile at those words. "Well then, I thank you."
"No problem." Jaune says. "I'm just sorry I couldn't go with you."
Pyrrha frowns at that. "Jaune, you can't help that your transcripts were rejected. Besides there's always next year after all."
"Yeah." He says dejectedly. "In the meantime though I'll just give you some moral support I guess."
"You always know how to cheer me up." Pyrrha smiles.
"Hey what's a boyfriend for if he doesn't know how to cheer his girl up." Jaune says.
Pyrrha giggles to that. "I suppose so." She says.
"I'll come and visit for the festival." Jaune adds. "Maybe Mr. Kenton will let me stay with him in exchange for work around his shop."
"I'm certain he would." Pyrrha agrees. "Speaking of the Kenton's, I got a message from Latias last night saying that she's going to Beacon."
Jaune laughs. "Mr. Kenton finally won the argument."
"Seems so." Pyrrha agrees. She then heard a crash sound in the background of the call.
"Oh I got to go, one of my sisters just dropped a vase." Jaune says hurriedly. "Love you."
Pyrrha smiles with a faint blush. "Love you two." With that the call was hung up and Pyrrha holds her scroll close to her chest. After a moment a hologram of a woman forms by the windows of the transport.
"Hello and welcome to Beacon Academy. I am Glynda Goodwitch." The hologram introduces. "You are among a privileged few who have received the honor of being selected to attend this prestigious academy! Our world is experiencing an incredible time of peace, and as future Huntsmen and Huntresses, it is your duty to uphold it. You have demonstrated the courage needed for such a task, and now it is our turn to provide you with the knowledge and the training to protect our world."
Pyrrha stands and walks to the window to see a grand view of Beacon and Vale. She stares in awe for a moment taking in the sight. "Time for a whole new life." She mumbles to herself.
The transport soon lands and the doors open allowing Pyrrha and the other passengers to disembark. After exiting Pyrrha gasps in amazement at the beautiful sight of Beacon.
"Oh... my... GOODNESS!" An enthusiastic feminine voice yells out. "It's so amazing!"
"Yes Nora, it is quite the sight." A second more masculine voice responds.
Looking over Pyrrha notices two who had been on her transport she hadn't seen before. A blue eyed ginger girl wearing a collared black sleeveless vest, with a blue central front section with red accents, and a pink skirt. Next to her was a young black haired Mistralian man with green and black diagonally-buttoned, long-sleeved tailcoat. In his hair was a single magenta streak matching his eyes.
"Come on Ren! We have some exploring to do!" The girl, Nora exclaims in excitement whilst jumping up and down impatiently. The young man, Ren chuckles and nods following the bubbly young woman.
Pyrrha smiles at the sight only to hold her head from a slight headache the moment after. "That was a weird sense of Deja-vu." Pyrrha mutters. She shakes the thought away and walks out to the courtyard where she sees a familiar face. A certain Silver eyed Brunette was standing and talking to a girl in a black and red outfit with a cape and a confident looking young woman with blond hair. Latias. Pyrrha thought.
With Latias, she had been amazed by the sight of Beacon along with Ruby and Yang when they got off the transport. They unconsciously walked along to the courtyard taking in the sight before stopping when Ruby started gushing over every weapon she saw. Latias giggles at Ruby's antics as she and Yang grab Ruby by the hood of her cape.
Yang sighs. "Ruby what's with you? They're just weapons."
"JUST WEAPONS!?" Ruby shouts out in disbelief. "They're extensions of ourselves! They're a part of US!" Latias simply smiles as she pats Ruby's shoulder. Ruby looks over to see Latias raise a brow before gesturing to the mecha-shift Scythe holstered on Ruby's belt. "Yes Latias. I absolutely love Crescent Rose, but seeing new weapons are like meeting new people. But better." She mutters that last part to herself.
Yang rolls her eyes. "Come on Ruby why don't you try and make some new friends with Latias?"
Ruby's face tenses slightly as she looks down shyly. "Why would I need more friends when I've got you guys?" Latias shares a look with Yang and they look back to Ruby.
Pyrrha from behind them slowly approaches. "Because friends can help you with life." Pyrrha states making her presence known. The three turn quickly to see her and she simply smiles. Latias runs up and gives the 4 time mistral regional champion a hug. "Nice to see you too Latias." Pyrrha giggles.
