Ruby and Argent were hugging each other tightly, not wanting the other to be blown away. Silber had her saber stabbed into the ground as she held her mother, using Ice Dust to further anchor them into the ground. Yang had to use all her strength as well as stabbing Gambol Shroud into the ground to keep her and Blake on the ground.

"THIS FIGHT IS INSANE," Yang yelled.

"HOW IS THAT ADAM?! HOW IS THAT JAUNE," Blake yelled.

"EVEN THE FIGHT AGAINST SALEM WASN'T THIS INTENSE," Weiss yelled.

"JAUNE," Ruby yelled.

"WIN, DAD! WIIIN!"

Jaune clashed with Adam, Crocea Mors sparking against Adam's katanas. Despite having a larger weapon, Jaune was still able to somewhat keep up with Adam, deflecting most of his blows.

Unfortunately, the difference in speed between a greatsword and two katanas was noticeable. Jaune had many cuts and slashes on his body, Adam barely having one. Even when Jaune switched to the shield function, Adam made sure he wouldn't have the time to take out the sword, putting Jaune at a disadvantage.

Eventually, Jaune got fed up and decided to throw caution to the wind. As Adam began to pick up speed, Jaune raised Crocea Mors and swung down with all his might, ignoring Adam's slashes. Adam quickly realized that Jaune went to full offense and put up his own guard. Jaune's powerful swing slammed into Adam like a cannon going through a wooden wall, Adam's arms falling, leaving himself defenseless.

But the large swing made it so that it would take too long for Jaune to slash or stab at Adam, so instead, he readied his free arm, and with a roar, slammed his hand onto Adam's face. Then, something surprising happened.

Jaune's arm stretched, slamming Adam into a tree. Not relenting, Jaune roared as he swung Adam around as if he were tied on a rope, slamming him into trees, rocks, and even into his house before smashing him into the ground.

Jaune then retracted his arm, looking at it in amazement. "Whoa."

"Impossible," Adam groaned out. Jaune looked at him as Adam stumbled out of the ground with a bloody gash in his head that exposed his skull, his horn broken. "Only Grimm like Nuckelavee can stretch their limbs like that," he said as his armor repaired.

Jaune looked at his white arm. "You're right. Only the strongest of Grimm can do that." He then tightened his grip, Grimm Salem appearing in his mind. "Like SHE can."

Jaune then slammed his fist into the ground, sending a shock wave that crumbled the earth in its path. As soon as the wave reached Adam, a stone pillar formed, smashing into Adam's gut, making him vomit blood before he was sent flying. Jaune ran up and jumped off of the pillar, chasing after Adam.

'This proves it without a shadow of a doubt,' Adam thought as he saw Jaune speeding towards him, Crocea Mors at the ready. 'This man...'

The two clashed in mid-air, lightning flashing around them.

'Is the New Salem!' Adam scowled. 'Why would you want this, you hooded fool?!'

Adam then activated the armor's Flight Mode, flying above Jaune.

Jaune looked up in surprise at the floating Adam before he growled. "TAURUS," he roared as he began to fall.

"WHAT'S WRONG, ARC!? CAN'T FLY?!" Adam was panting, feeling exhausted before he caught his breath, watching Jaune fall.

As Jaune fell, he desperately wished for wings so he could fly up and punch Adam in the face. Jaune then felt a sort of tight sensation in his back before it felt like something tore out of it.

Before he realized it, he was gliding in the air. When he saw this, he spun to try and get more altitude, flying upwards to be at the same level as Adam, Jaune spreading his wings when he reached his enemy.

"WHAT," Adam went.

Jaune looked at Adam in confusion before he saw something flutter down before him. He caught it and saw it was a black feather. He looked behind him to see... wings on his back.

"They look like Nevermore wings." He then looked at his white arms. "These new powers are going to need some serious getting used to, if not a hell of a lot of training."

Jaune then felt a killing intent and raised his sword in time to block Adam's stab.

"YOU MUST TAKE ME FOR A FOOL TO SPEAK LIKE THAT IN FRONT OF ME!"

Jaune smirked. "IS THAT WHAT GAVE IT AWAY?!"

The two then parted before having an aerial duel. As they clashed, Adam fired multiple rounds at Jaune, who was able to dodge a few, save for one that stuck to his wing. He almost lost control of his flying when it exploded, only to recover with a spin. He then retaliated by sending barrages of wind blades at Adam.

Adam was able to dodge a few and absorb even more, but most of them still hit their mark, striking Adam in the face, chest, and legs.

Adam snarled before he stopped suddenly and started to stab the air. When Jaune was at his desired position, Adam allowed the red lasers to fly, many of them hitting Jaune by surprise.

Adam then flew towards Jaune and threw his sword in a way that it attacked Jaune like a buzzsaw, his blood gushing. Adam caught his sword as it bounced off of Jaune's chest, kicking the hero right in the chin. Adam then swung his sword down to continue his combo.

He didn't expect Jaune to catch his arm by the wrist, crush it, then fling Adam downward.

Adam regained his balance, only to look up to see Jaune preparing another large swing. Adam held up his swords, blocking the incredibly powerful strike.

But Adam felt something. The pain of being shocked, coursing through his veins.

'Lightning Dust?! No, the only Dust Arc ever used was Gravity Dust! Where is this coming from?!'

Adam was then sent crashing towards the ground like a lightning bolt, the impact creating a large crater.

Jaune looked at his still sparking blade. "Whoa. How did I do that?"

'With magic.'

Jaune's eyes widened. 'Salem! You're still with me?!'

'I am. I don't know if my time with you is limited or not. I may only have mere moments with you, a few days, many years, or even until your dying breath or when you free the Arc Bloodline from my sins. Still, as long as you have this power, I am with you.'

'Not the first voice I've had in my head. Wait, you said... I used magic?'

'You did. Magic was once a gift from the God of Darkness, and the Grimm were created by that same god. Many of the Grimm were able to use abilities that were comparable to magic, correct?'

Jaune thought of the Manticore, Apathy, and the Sea Feilong. Each of those Grimm had abilities like magic.

'Now that you are...' Salem sighed sadly. 'The next... 'me', you have magic at your disposal. Use it better than I did.'

Jaune looked at his hand, seeing sparks before a small flicker of flame appear in his palm. He then clenched his fist, looking down in determination. "Let's see if I can."

He then flew down to where Adam was, preparing to finish the fight.

Jaune flew into the crater, flapping his wings before landing perfectly on his feet, his wings retracting back into his body. He walked around the dusty hole before he saw Adam's silhouette. Jaune held his sword firmly in his right hand.

The dust cleared, revealing Adam, his hand on the hilt of his sheathed sword. "So you can use magic like that woman. You're every bit as powerful as my employers warned me you'd be."

"Are you disappointed? Annoyed?"

"A bit of both," he said as he paced around with Jaune, neither taking the eyes off the other. "You've exceeded all of my expectations. It was supposed to end with you being infected with whatever was in these damned bullets, not with me fighting what's paramount to a living god.

"You bit off more than you could chew, I take it."

Adam spat. "Even if I did, I can't fail this job. I'm getting out of here alive.

"You are getting out of this alive, Adam. I'm arresting you, after all. You have a lot to answer for."

"You think I'm going to let you capture me?"

Adam stopped walking, causing Jaune to do so as well. Adam then chuckled before he laughed. "Oh, Arc. You don't seem to realize... how desperate I really am. I've had to commit acts in this fight I never thought I'd have to do. Including this." He then snapped his fingers.

Next thing Jaune knew, spikes shot up all around him, surrounding his area. Then, they all burst with electricity, countless volts of power coursing through Jaune's body, making him howl in pain. As this was happening, Jaune saw katanas form above him. He glared down towards Adam, watching the man hold his hand towards the sky before motioning down.

The katanas flew down, stabbing through Jaune. Some just slashed through him, while others stabbed him into the ground. There was a katana in his calf, putting him on one knee. Another katana stabbed through his thigh and into the ground, further anchoring him to the ground. When one of his hands was on the ground, a katana stabbed through it into the ground. One even went through his shoulder.

When it was done, Jaune was covered in bleeding cuts, swords stabbing through his body, the man vomiting blood. He was panting heavily, his body reaching its limit.

"That was all the Dust I had." Jaune glared at the approaching Adam. "And it took all the processing power this armor could muster in order to perform this little move. You're right. I am getting out of here. But not as your prisoner."

Adam then pointed his rifle at Jaune's face. "You lose, hero."

Jaune glared at Adam. "Just get it over with, Taurus."

He sighed n relief. "Gladly." He then put a finger on the trigger, preparing to shoot Jaune in the face, barely caring about his mission. He thought that Jaune would be tough enough to survive anyway.

Yet, before he could fire, he was bombarded by bullets. "WHAT?!" He looked in the direction of the bullets, only to get hit by an explosive. "WHAT IS IT, NO-" Adam was interrupted by a hammer to the face.

He groaned as he held held his face before looking up to see a pissed off Nora above him in mid swing. "STOP HURTING-" She slammed her hammer down with explosive force. "MY FAMILY!"

Nora gagged when Adam grabbed her by the throat, looking at her with blinding rage, blood trickling down the side of his head. "WHY WON'T YOU IDIOTS JUST STAY OUT OF THIS?!"

Ren then appeared, Adam's hand falling off. Ren then grabbed his wife and used his Storm Flower's cables to make a quick get away. "NOW, RUBY!"

Adam grabbed and reattached his hand, feeling the armor actually stitch it back to the stump, before looking up with a glare; his eyes widening when he saw a bullet fly towards him. Said bullet went towards his left shoulder and ignited. Adam was now screaming as he tried to put the flame off of his shoulder.

Ruby held her sniper upward, glaring at the screaming Adam. "That's what happens when you mess with my kid's dad, steakhouse."

Adam ripped the piece of armor off of his shoulder, showing a now burnt body that went from his neck to halfway down his bicep. He panted as he glared at Ruby. "I'LL KILL YOU FOR THAT!"

"No. You won't," Jaune said, standing behind Adam, eyes glowing red as his hair was flowing demonically.

Before Adam could look behind him, he felt Jaune's Crocea Mors slam into his back, the bull coughing up blood before he was sent flying into the air. Jaune jumped after him, slashing him farther and farther into the air each time he reached him before reaching the planet's very exosphere.

As soon as they reached that area, Jaune flew above the gasping and fully armored Adam, held Crocea Mors above the Faunus, and ignited it with blazing fire. With a final roar of exertion, Jaune slammed the sword into Adam's gut before rocketing towards Remnant. The two ignited as they fell, Adam screaming in agony alongside Jaune's roar of exertion. As they fell, more of Adam's burning armor fell off, not being able to keep up with the fire. Even his helm shattered, the fires beginning to scar his face.

"DAMN YOU, JAUNE... SALEM... AAAAAAAAAAAARC!"

The two then landed with explosive force.

When the dust cleared, Ren, Nora, Ruby, and Argent saw an even deeper crater.

"DAD," Argent called before sliding down the crater.

"ARIE," Ruby called before sliding down and grabbing her son. She then used her Semblance to get the two down into the crater safely.

The mother and son walked around the dusty, dark crater, looking for any sign of Jaune. Argent then saw something glimmer and ran towards it, Ruby following after him. She saw him standing still.

"No," Argent went in a quivering voice.

Ruby ran up and looked down to see what her son did, her eyes widening in horror.

Before them was Crocea Mors... with no sign of Jaune.

Argent fell to his knees. "Dad," he went weakly, beginning to cry.

"No." Ruby knelt down and gently lifted Crocea Mors. "No. No, no, no, no," she went, beginning to cry. "You can't. You can't do this. Jaune, don't do this."

Ren and Nora ran up to them, stopping when they saw the two. Ren's eyes were wide with horror while Nora covered her mouth. She then began to tear up before burying her face in her husband's shoulder. "No! This can't be real, Ren! Tell me it isn't real," she sobbed. Ren just hugged her back, tears beginning to fall form his eyes.

"You can't leave us, Jaune. Come back to us. Come back to your son. Come back to your family. Come back to me." Ruby hugged Crocea Mors before she screamed towards the sky: "COME BACK TO US, YOU JERK!"

Everyone jumped when they heard rubble moving.

Ruby quickly stood up and pushed Argent behind her protectively, not even realizing she took the sword out of its sheath. Ren and Nora quickly took their stances, ready to help their friend against whatever was coming.

Then, a white fist punched through the stone before pushing them away. Everyone's eyes widened when they saw who it was, the man groaning as he got out.

"Stop making it sound like I'm dead."

"JAUNE!"

"DAD!"

Ruby and Argent didn't hesitate to hug the man. Before Ren and Nora could join them, they were shocked to a halt when Ruby actually kissed Jaune. The two jumped when she slapped him.

"DON'T SCARE ME LIKE THAT, VOMIT BOY!"

"Ow. Aren't you caring, Crater Face."

The two smiled before Jaune got a serious look on his face and took his sword out of Ruby's hand.

Her eyes widened. "You mean he's..."

Jaune turned away from his family. "Not for long." He then walked away. The others looked among themselves before running after him.

They chased him through clouds of dust before finding him. As they approached, they heard dry coughing and labored breathing. When they walked up to Jaune, they saw him looking down. They followed his gaze... to see a horribly burned, beaten, bloody and torn Adam Taurus, the armor now nothing more than a shiny pair of pants.

RNJR and Argent looked down at the defeated Adam, the man coughing, his body practically sizzling.

"You know, I almost pity him," Argent said.

"Think your old man went too far," Jaune asked as he glanced at his son.

Argent looked up. "I said 'almost'."

Jaune chuckled before looking back at Adam, jumping down to him. When he stood over Adam, he held his sword right above Adam's head.

"So much power." Jaune glared at Adam. "So much potential. You haven't even scratched the surface of your full power yet, but you already know that, don't you, Arc."

Jaune stared at Adam. "Yeah. I know for sure that if I fought Salem right here and now... I'd lose. I may be physically stronger than her now, but she knows how to use these powers much better than I do. Probably better than I ever will. Still, I'm going to own this curse, and used it to protect Remnant from monsters like you."

Adam scoffed before going into a coughing fit. "A monster. . . Trust me, Arc. You haven't seen a real monster. Not yet, anyway." Adam then looked at Jaune. "Do you really think... you have the power to protect THEM from a real monster?"

Jaune glared at Adam before looking back at Ren, Nora, Ruby, and of course, his son, still caringly holding onto Nimueh. He then looked back down at Adam. "I will do whatever it takes to protect them."

Adam chuckled. "I hope you do, Arc. I know now that I placed the worst kind of curse on you. A nightmare that you can't handle, but will show you unspeakable truths. Maybe someday, with that new body and those new eyes, you'll see the truth."

"I see plenty, Taurus. Now... begone." Jaune then tried to plunge his sword into Adam's head, which would have surely killed him.

Yet, his blade stopped.

Everyone was shocked, none more than Jaune himself.

Jaune like he couldn't move. It was if he was frozen.

"No. He does not deserve death," an unfamiliar voice went in Jaune's head. He then fell to his knees.

"DAD!"

"JAUNE," Ruby yelled as she and Argent ran to him.

Nora looked at Jaune in worry before she saw a hooded figure land in front of Adam and lifted him. "HEY," Nora called, aiming her grenade launcher. She fired.

The hooded figure immediately threw a Dust Shard, an ice wall erecting and blocking the grenade. The figure then jumped out of the crater and ran.

"GET BACK HERE," Nora called. She was stopped when Ren grabbed her shoulder, the man shaking his head when she looked at him before they both looked at the still fallen Jaune.

Jaune released a breath he didn't know he was holding. He looked at his shaking hand before gripping tightly to calm himself down. He sighed before looking back at his family, specifically his son. He walked over and knelt down. "Arie?" The boy looked at him, Jaune forgetting that he was a Grimmkind for a moment. "Are you okay?"

Argent's eyes widened in horror. That look alone reminded Jaune of what he was, the man quickly standing and turning away.

"Am I okay?!"

Jaune looked down in shame, thinking his son would only see him as what he was: a monster.

"Dad, you got stabbed! A LOT!"

Jaune looked up in surprise. "What?"

"You even just... FROZE! You were about to win, but you just stopped like you were caught in Big Bro Marrow's Semblance! Are you alright," Argent asked as he grabbed his father's hand, the man looking down and seeing genuine worry in his son's eyes. "I mean, what that Adam guy put you through. He shattered my aunts' Auras and took them out, but you kept fighting him when yours broke. Aren't you tired?"

"Aren't you scared?"

Argent raised an eyebrow. "Why would I be? Those guys are gone, aren't they?"

"It's just..." Jaune looked at his hand. "I look like... THIS. I'm..." He sighed. "I'm just a monster now. DOOF," Jaune went as he buckled over a bit from Argent punching his gut. Even without his Semblance, Argent Arc is a freakishly strong kid. Shows that his training with his dad paid off.

"Don't you EVER call yourself that! You're not a monster. Sure, you look kinda creepy now... but you also look seriously cool. You're my dad, and you're my hero. I could never be scared of you." Jaune looked down to see his son's famous smile.

Jaune teared up a bit before he smiled, knelt down, and hugged his son, embarrassing the kid a bit. "Thank you, Argent."

"Uh, dad? You do realize my mom, Aunt Nora, and Uncle Ren are here, right," he asked with a light blush.

"Oh, right."

"WHOA," Argent went as his father picked him up and placed him on his shoulder. "This is even worse," he mumbled in embarrassment.

"Is everyone alright?"

"Oh, we're just fine," Nora went with a wave. "We just want to know one, itsy-bitsy thing. WHAT IN THE NAME OF THE REN HOUSEHOLD PANCAKES IS GOING ON?! WHO WAS THAT WHO ALMOST TURNED YOU INTO A PIECE OF BLOODY MEAT?! HOW WERE YOU ABLE TO DO STUFF THAT ONLY MAIDENS COULD DO?! MOST OF ALL, WHY DO YOU LOOK LIKE SALEM?!"

"That's more than one thing, Nora," Jaune said.

"No joking, Jaune." He looked at Ren. "Explain EVERYTHING. In detail."

Jaune sighed. "It's going to be a long story."

"Then it's a good thing it will be a long walk to your place," Ruby said.

One walk later.

"So... you're related to Salem," Nora asked as they continued to walk, the powerful ginger MAKING Argent piggyback on her (with her excuse being that Jaune needed as much rest as he can get after that crazy fight, but she just wanted to hold her precious nephew). Argent was just hugging Nora in defeat, still blushing, since it's embarrassing for a ten year old to be carried in any kind of way, even if your being carried by one of the top ten Hunters in the world.

"Yeah. That's why the Grimm Pool Water didn't kill me. Instead, it made me into... this."

"If that is the case, then that would mean Argent is also Salem's descendant, being your son," Ren said.

"He's my son, too," Ruby piped up.

"But you're not related to the Queen of the Grimm," Ren retorted.

"Ooh, can't deny that," Ruby said as she nervously scratched her cheek with a sheepish laugh.

"NO! That means that creep might come back and turn my little lightning bolt into a mini Salem! He'll lose his cuteness and turn into a cool edge lord," Nora cried comically as she began to hug Argent, rubbing her cheek against his.

"Aunt Nora... You're... Choking... Me," Argent struggled to say.

Ruby then took Argent out of Nora's grasp using her Semblance, the beauty holding her son in her arms. "Okay, you've had enough fun with my kid."

"Aw, come on! I need more Arie!"

"No."

"Pretty please, with chocolate chip cookies on top?"

"Not even for triple chocolate chunk."

"Oh, she's serious," Nora said, wide eyed.

"Can I please be let down now? I can walk. I never even got hurt in all this, somehow."

"And I'm overjoyed about that. I'm still not putting you down, though, Cookie Dough."

"Dad?"

"I'm not about to argue with your mom, kiddo. Let her be a mom right now, ESPECIALLY after what we saw."

Argent looked down, just the thought of his dad's fight making him shiver. He actually felt much better when Ruby hugged him.

"It's fine, Cookie Dough. He's gone."

"But he was after dad. He obviously had help, like that guy who saved him. He'll be back, won't he." It wasn't a question. Everyone already knew the answer.

"Oh, Arie, how's Nimueh," Jaune asked.

"Hm? Oh, I still have her. See," he went as he took Nimueh off of his belt's holster. Jaune then reached towards the sword. Argent then realized his father was about to touch the Sword of Destruction. "Dad, WAIT!"

It was too late.

Jaune barely touched the sword, yet a flash of lightning and Jaune's surprised yell occurred. Everyone was shocked as they looked at Jaune's smoking hand, the skin on his hand gone, revealing the same biology Salem had when her chest was blown off by Yang or her face after Hazel punched it off. It then healed as quickly as she did.

Jaune sighed. "So... I can't touch her anymore. I really am a Grimm. I really am the new Salem."

"Jaune," Ren said sadly.

"Jaune, it's not like that. You're not her," Nora said.

"We... We can fix this. We have New Mantle tech, Glynda, and you're friends with some of the smartest people in the world! If anyone can help, it's the scientists working for my sister-in-law," Ruby said.

"Do I want to fix this?"

Everyone was horrified when Jaune asked that.

"Dad, what are you saying? Why would you want to keep that power?"

"This power is what beat Adam." Everyone was silenced by that horrible fact. "Who knows how many more have weapons like he does. Armor like his. I don't even know how deadly his allies or employers are. They could be infinitely worse than him... Can I really afford to lose this power? Can I... SURVIVE them without this damned curse?"

"Jaune," Ruby went softly.

Jaune could sense the negativity he was causing. It was... intoxicating. That disgusted him. He shook his head and continued walking. "We'll talk about this later. Let's just check to see if the rest of Team RWBY and Silber are ooooooooooh my gods."

"Jaune," Nora asked. "What's wro-whoa! That is a lot of cameras."

"When did the Vale News Team get here," Ruby asked.

"Possibly after Nora and I did. Your fight was quite hard to miss."

"They're all over our house," Argent said.

Jaune sighed. "This should be fun."

Omake:

Adam was thrown to the ground, groaning in pain.

"Aw, that looks painful."

Adam glared at the voice, seeing several hooded figures, one of them sitting atop a boulder above the rest of his crew.

"Need some help?"

"Screw... you," Adam groaned as he sat up. "Where is she?"

The figure snickered before snapping their fingers. A larger figure than walked up, pushing a beautiful girl with night blue hair.

The girl looked up, her eyes widening when she saw the heavily wounded Faunus. "ADAM!" She immediately ran towards him, kneeling down to his side. "By the gods."

"Evelyn, are you alright? Did they do anything to you," Adam strained.

"Who cares about me?! Look at you. What did they make you do," she asked as she placed a hand on his shoulder. Her hand then began to glow, Adam's wounds and scars slowly but surely regenerating.

Adam looked at his wounds before remembering his fight against Jaune. "They... made me unleash a demon."

"A demon," Evelyn asked.

"A demon?!" Adam and Evelyn look at the hooded figure on the boulder. "Dear boy, you didn't awaken a demon. You awakened a god!"

"A god?! You didn't see what I fought! Arc was powerful, and he JUST got cursed! If he is ever unleashed, ever loses complete control, NOTHING will be able to stop him!"

The figure chuckled. "Exactly. He just awakened, but he will grow to be something magnificent. Truly the perfect heir of the goddess."

"Goddess?" Adam's eyes widened. "You. How? You're supposed to be dead!"

The figure snickered. "Aren't we all, Taurus?"

Adam's burns and scars were now gone thanks to Evelyn, but he still struggled to get back to his feet, Evelyn helping him up. "Damn you! I've done what you asked, freak! Just stay the hell away from us. I'm done with you. With EVERYONE! I just want to live in peace." He then looked at Evelyn. "With her." Evelyn looked down with a blush and a happy smile.

"Mm, very well. You've done what we asked. We no longer have a need for you. Now that the goddess has been succeeded, you are no longer needed. Bye-bye~," the figure went in a sing-song tone.

Adam glared at the figure before he began to limp away, Evelyn trying her best to make sure he didn't fall.

"Oh, one more thing."

Evelyn then gasped. Adam's eyes widened, especially when he heard the sound of fabric tearing and flesh being pierced. He looked to see that she had been stung in the back... by a robotic scorpion tail.

"NOOO," Adam screamed as he caught Evelyn in his arms, looking down at the panting beauty. "You bastard. YOU BASTARD! YOU PROMISED YOU'D GIVE HER BACK TO ME, DAMN YOU!"

"That's riiight. I did. But... did I ever promise in what state," he asked his hooded comrades. The other hooded figures chuckled, snickered, and laughed.

"You bastard. I'LL KILL YOU!"

"Oh, I doubt that. After all... this is the last time we ever met again, Mr. Taurus. I suggest you spend the last moments with your wife wisely."

One of the figures raised their arms, a small mist engulfing them. They vanished within the mist, the lead figure's laughter echoing in the mist as it vanished.

"CALLOWS!"

Evelyn gasped in pain, getting Adam's attention. "No. No, no, no. I can fix this. I can get you to a doctor," Adam said as he began to cry, holding Evelyn's hand. "Just stay with me."

Evelyn looked at Adam, dark bags already forming under her eyes. She then smiled weakly at him. "It's strange, isn't it. Sixteen years ago, did you ever think you'd ever cry for a human?"

"Please, just stop talking. I'm going to move you." She whimpered when he tried to lift her. "I'M SORRY!"

"He... pierced my liver, Adam. It hurts so much."

"No. No, no, no. You had Aura left! You have your Semblance! Please! Use your Grace! Heal yourself! Please," Adam whimpered.

"Adam, you know how my Semblance works. I... used up my Aura healing you."

"WHY, DAMMIT?!"

"Why?" She then caressed his cheek. "Because I love you, of course."

Adam's tears fell on her face as he hung his head in shame. "I don't deserve you. I hated you for years just because you were human."

She smiled weakly. "And I was terrified of you for all those years. I never thought... I'd fall for you... let alone... marry you."

Adam looked at Evelyn. "I'm... happy... I met you... Adam. . . Taurus." Evelyn then became limp in Adam's arms.

Adam stared at her with wide, horrified eyes. He stared at his now lifeless wife before he let out a pained, miserable scream; losing everything again. He hugged her tightly, screaming and crying. Then, he heard the sound of branches snapping and growls all around him. He then looked up and saw that he was surrounded by Beowolves, Ursa, and Creeps. Eyes turning from sorrow to rage, he took up his sword and roared in defiance.

After he easily dispatched the Grimm, his eyes were filled with... nothingness. His eyes were hollow, empty, and blank.

He then looked down at the long dead Evelyn, the beauty still smiling even in death. Adam knelt down and carefully lifted her, holding her like the princess she was. He then walked away, carrying his wife back to their home. Back into their secluded mountain home.

Adam solemnly carried Evelyn back to their little garden paradise, where he planned to live the rest of his days away from this insane and evil world, where a demon he unleashed now calls home.
