When Sophia's feet touch solid ground again, she opens her eyes and looks around the area for the familiar red and gold armor of her father. She spots him looking down into an area below where distant voices of Ebony Maw and Doctor Strange are coming from.
"Mr. Stark! Thank you so much for this suit! I wanted to tell you this earlier but then we had to fight that alien, then I had to chase down that magician, what's his name again? Anyway, then I got beamed up. Which was so cool, it was like in the movies and now we are here. And thank you Sophia for grabbing it for me! It's the coolest thing ever! I-" Peter stops talking when Iron Man raises his hand, "Pete, stop talking. I'm glad you enjoy your new suit. Happy early birthday or whatever." Tony says looking at Peter, then starts looking at his daughter, "Now, have either of you thought of a plan to get Doctor Strange away from Squidward?".
Sophia raises her hand, "Well, how about I just teleport Doctor Strange up here. It'll be faster. But then we still need to deal with Squidward. Peter, any ideas?"
"Oh um.." Peter looks where Doctor Strange is and looks back to where Mr. Stark and Sophia are, "Maybe. Have you seen that really old movie, Aliens? That one popular scene. Soph, do you know what I'm talking about? Do you think you can do that?"
Sophia just blinks towards Peter, "Uh yeah. Damn, Squidward is going to get the shock of his life in a few moments."
Tony just looks between them, "Pop culture Pete. Always with pop culture references. Sophia, didn't I tell you to get him to stop?"
Sophia widens her eyes, "I- Uh.. forgot? Sorry?"
Her father shakes his head at her, "I'll tell him," Tony puts a serious face on and turns towards Peter, "Stop with the pop culture. You're making me feel old."
Sophia looks at Peter for his reaction, which was embarressment. With a red face Peter apologizes, "Sorry Mr. Stark, I'll stop!"
Tony snorts with a shake of his head, "No, you won't. Either way, have you guys decided what the course of action is?"
Sophia nods, "Yea dad. Just give me a few seconds. I need to figure out how I'm going to do this. Fuck Peter, this is going to be so grusome. I love it," Sophia says in excitement showing in her eyes, almost shaking in anticipation. Sophia's eyes start to glow red and after a few seconds they start to go back to her hazel eyes, "okay okay. I think I got it. Tell me when and I'll do it. Dad, you should record this. I'm sure Bucky and Yelena would like to see this later. Just make sure Pepper never sees this. She'll most likely ground me for 'misuse of power' or some shit like that." Sophia's eyes suddenly widened, "Actually never show this to Steve, he'll give me 'no powers training sessions' until I literally die!"
Peter snickers at that, "He's such a boomer for not being a boomer!" Tony starts to laugh at that comment.
Once everything settles down, the trio look back down over the railing, listening to the echoes of the conversation that's happening below. After a bit, Peter and Sophia leaving the railing to go sit down. Peter starts talking "It's a good thing that you're still able to use your powers now that the Stones have gone silent on you. Do you think they'll come back? Or are you stuck with normal consciousness?" Sophia purses her lips at this, "I'm not sure Pete. I hope They come back, I've grown accustomed to Their voices. Especially Power and his constant snide comments. Like I said before, They are still there since I can still feel them, their energy I mean. I think.. they know something is happening and they're preparing for it. Preparing me for it. I'm not exactly sure though, it's just a guess. I'll figure it out."
Tony walks away from the railing, sitting down next to his daughter, "Can you still See? Has Their retreat limited your abilities?" he questioned.
Sophia's eyes widened in realization, "Oh my God. I haven't- oh my God!" Sophia shakes her head, "I haven't realized I haven't Seen anything. 'Cause Time usually pushes snippets throughout the day and I haven't Seen anything since They retreated." Sophia sighs in frustration, "I'm going to try and See something." Sophia closes her eyes and concentrates, "Hmm. It's too blurry. I can't distinguish what's what. It's like Time is blocking everything, doesn't want me to See something." Sophia opens her eyes when she feels someone taking her hands, she looks up and sees Peter, who has a soft smile. "We'll figure it out. It'll have to come to fruition eventually, right? Plus, the timing of both events has to mean they are connected." Sophia nods and smiles back, "Yeah, we'll figure it out. Hopefully soon though."
As the trio went back to silence, Tony looks back down over the railing to see what's going on, "We should probably head on down or Strange is going to have an unwanted acupuncture session by Squidward." Both Peter and Sophia walk over to examine and nod.
When the trio gets to the main level, where Ebony Maw and Doctor Strange are, they hear them talking.
"In all the time I have served Thanos, I have never failed him. If I were to reach our rendezvous with the Time Stone still attached to your vaguely irritating person, there would be judgment. Give me.. the Stone" says Squidward, who is clearly irritated.
Both Ebony Maw and Doctor Strange look up when they hear the clanging footsteps of the Iron Man suit, "Look, Squidward. Let the magician go and we can end this." Tony says.
"The Time Stone belongs to Thanos. Your friend will die," Ebony Maw states, "his death will be a great cause towards Thanos. You should be rejoicing."
Tony scoffs, "I gotta tell you, he's not really my friend. Saving his life is more of a professional courtesy."
"You saved nothing, Your powers are inconsequential compared to mine" Ebony Maw explains while getting ready to attack the intruders.
"Yeah, but the children have seen more movies." retorted Tony, moving from his spot to show Sophia and Peter.
Sophia's eyes flashes red, singing "In our favorite rocket ship
Zooming through the sky, Little Einsteins!"
Ebony Maw falls to the ground and starts to flail around, grunting in pain. "What. What is this magic?" gasps Ebony Maw, clawing at his chest.
"Reality Magic, duh." Sophia says full of sass while flipping her hair back over her shoulder.
At this moment, Ebony Maw arches up and screams in pain. A few seconds later, a worm-like creature tears his way out of Ebony Maw's chest and scurries away. Maw flops back down, still screaming until it gurgles into nothing.
Sophia can hear Peter gagging under his mask and Tony says, "Yea, we shouldn't let Pep see this. She will definitely ground you. Just promise me you won't ever do that again and I won't ground you right now."
"I- Sorry dad. I won't do that again." Sophia says with guilt, looking at the body, "I'll, uh.. Vanish the body." With a wave of her hand, the body of Ebony Maw disappears.
"That's one way of using your powers, Miss Stark. Imaginative." drawls Doctor Strange, still floating with needles poking at every angle.
"Wha- Soph! That's NOT what I meant by Aliens!" Peter exclaims next to her after he stops gagging.
"What did you mean then? That's an iconic scene from that movie I just recreated. I thought it was cool! Until it became gross, but still!" Sophia gasps, hands covering her hands over her heart in mock hurt
"You were supposed to blow a hole in the wall and have that Squidward guy get sucked out into the vacuum of space. Not.. that! Oh my God! Where did it go!?" Peter said panickedly while tugging at his hair and looking around for the worm creature, "where did it go!".
Sophia throws her arms into the air, "Peter! That's Alien, you said Aliens. Two different movies! Alien was made in 1979, while Aliens was made in 1986."
Peter argues back, "Yea, I messed up. It's not my fault they both have Sigourney Weaver or basically have the same title!" Peter pouts, "As gruesome as it was, it was still kinda cool. But like your dad said, NEVER do that again. I'm TRAUMATIZED!"
"As fascinating as Miss Stark's powers are, can someone get me out of this contraption. We also have to figure out how to pilot this ship. Starks, will either be able to figure it out? Get us back to Earth?" Dr. Strange asks, looking between the two Starks.
"I'm pretty sure it's on autopilot," Tony says, "Soph, can you figure it out? Pete, come over here and help me get Strange out of this. Watch out for the needles, they could be laced with some weird alien substance."
Sophia walks over to the controls and waits a few seconds for the translations to kick in. Behind her are Peter and her father picking out the needles the Maw left. When the translation completes, she reads the screen while saying, "You were correct, dad, it's on autopilot. The destination is a planet called Titan? Does anyone know where that is?" questioned Sophia towards the group, but everyone said no in response, "Well, best bet is to leave it on and see where it takes us. See what happens."
Once Peter and Tony get Doctor Strange out, he walks over to the controls and asks his daughter how long it will be before they land. Sophia looks back and looks around the controls, searching for the answer. Once she finds it, she says "It says it'll be 8 hours til we land. We just have to wait it out, it seems."
Her father hums in acknowledgement, "Well, let's see if we can find anything useful in this room. Soph, try and make this ship faster."
"I can't. It's on autopilot and since no one knows where this Titan planet is on this ship, the speed has to stay the same or I'll mess up the controls." says Sophia, looking at her father.
"Okay." says Tony, taking off his helmet.
"Miss Stark, a word please." Doctor Strange says once he's free.
Sophia looks at her father asking if that was okay, Tony nods.
"What's crackalackin, Dumbles?" says Sophia as she walks towards Strange. Doctor Strange blinks at mention of his unwanted nickname, "Don't call me Dumbles."
"Aw come on. We're teammates, I give all my teammates nicknames. I call dad 'Iron Dad' and I call Peter 'Peter-Man'. If you don't like that, then tell me what to call you!" exclaims Sophia.
"You can call me Doctor Strange or Sorcerer Supreme, as that is my name.." he says plainly. Sophia pouts at that, but accepts the answer.
"When we land on Titan, everything will change. For you, for me, for everyone. This is only the start of it all. Will you be able to accept what is to come, not only for you but for the universe as a whole?" Strange asks.
"Yes, I think so. I mean I have to right? It's my destiny. It'll be tough, but I'm not doing it for myself. I can't do it for myself because," Sophia turns towards her father and Peter, "I'm doing it for my dad, my family. For Peter. For everyone else. I don't know what will happen since Time and the other Stones have retreated. But, I'll do whatever is necessary." Sophia straightens up and looks into Stranges eyes, "I'm ready. I'm the Worthy One after all. Better than being the Chosen One, right?"
Strange smiles at her declaration and nods.
