Part 3 of More to The Story. It's about a family that are the key-holders and Gatekeepers between our world/Wizarding World and Middle Earth. Adventure, friendships, and love. Part 3 picks up at the beginning of The Battle of the Five Armies, with equal parts of books and movies with the crossovers. OC's and real characters.

The Company and Gatekeepers are divided. Some of the company remain in Laketown with the younger members of the Gatekeeper family. The parents and grandparents are still missing. The danger of the dragon, orcs, and greed were on everyone's minds. What would become of them? Erébor? The Wizard and Muggle world? Nothing was certain.

I do not own anything from the Hobbit or Harry Potter; only the OC's and their story. All Harry Potter/Hobbit references and characters belong to J.K. Rowling, J. R. R. Tolkien, and Peter Jackson.

*****Heads up, this is a long one.*****

Chapter 18

Thorin held Orcrist firmly in his hand, dodging Azog's bladed arm and his chain rock he used like a hammer. The ice on the river was cracked in many places and formed broken slabs of various sizes to try to stand on. Many times, he and Azog were on opposite sides of the ice to balance it, but if either took too big of a step they both would fall into the freezing water.

Azog was growing impatient and wildly swing the chain in hopes of hitting Thorin with the stone. After carelessly landing it in the same spot, the stone lodged into the ice and would not come out. Both of them stared at each other for a long moment until something captured the Pale Orc's attention behind his enemy. Thorin refused to look over his shoulder. If he took his eyes off Azog even for a moment, he would be dead. Fortunately, he did not have to wait long to see what he was seeing.

The giant eagles who helped save them from the orcs at the beginning of their journey and flew them to Carrock, were joining the battle. They flew overhead and all over Ravenhill, Dale, and the valley in between. He could have sworn he saw riders on the backs of the eagles: Radagast, Beórn, Elrond, Elrohir, Elladan, and two other elves with silver blond hair he had never seen before.

Thorin took advantage of Azog's diverted attention, dropped Orcrist, and picked up the stone out of the ice. When the Pale Orc turned back to him, he chucked the stone and Azog caught it. He took one step back off the ice slab and watched Azog realize his mistake as he sank into the water. He tried to claw his way out, but the chain wrapped around his foot and the stone dragged him down.

Thorin let out a breath he did not realize he was holding, but he picked up this sword anyway. Something in his gut told him it was not over. He happened to glance up and see cursed Jordan standing watch from the river bank. He was about to call out to her when Azog's body floated up from the bottom and flowed under the ice. Thorin carefully followed his enemy as the current brought him closer to the falls. His eyes were closing, almost as if accepting his defeat, but it was a lie and Thorin did not believe it for a moment. Despite knowing it was too good to be true, Thorin was completely caught off guard when Azog stabbed his foot through the ice, then burst through the frozen barrier with his sword arm swinging.

Jordan stood on the river bank watching the fight between Thorin and Azog. She waited for the best moment to strike, wanting to kill the Pale Orc and deliver justice for Fili. Only able to take one step, another orc jumped out of nowhere and surprised her. She killed it, then another came, and another, and another. A whole company of orcs had ambushed. Her patience was running out, so she turned her back to Thorin and set a hug firewall. It made her laugh when she heard them scurry away so she followed them. When they were trapped, she doused the fire, and killed them all with the explosion curse.

Turning back to the fight she really wanted to be a part of, Thorin was laying on the ice with Azog and his blade over him. Thorin was using all of his strength to keep the Pale Orc's blade from piercing his chest.

The curse spoke for her in black speech, "You're dead, Azog!"

Azog looked up at her and grinned like he already won. "You'd like to think so, wouldn't you? Once I've slain the dwarves, I'll take the mountain. And I will present you to my Master, who will use your magic to help him take over Middle Earth."

"He will have to get in line then!" Jordan's evil grin was accented when she tilted her heard almost to an unnatural angel. "In the meantime, you will join your spawn in hell!" She was just about to wave her wand when Thorin beat her.

He calculated his options and they were slim. He could not keep up this fight any longer. He had done what he came for, take back the mountain from Smuag. The price for his efforts was high, losing his nephews, his friends, and his sanity. Someone else will rule Erébor. With his decision made, he pulled Orcist free and allowed Azog to stab him.

But Thorin was not dead yet! The excruciating pain in his chest was ignored by the desire to kill the orc who destroyed his family. Azog's victory was cut short when he shoved Orcrist through the orc's armor. Then he rolled on top of him and finished running him through, pushing the blade down until the hilt reached his chest. He held it there until he saw the life leave his eyes. It was over! Azog was dead! Thorin stood up and stared down at his enemy for a long moment.

Jordan ran across the ice and stopped at Azog's head. Anger built up in her that she did not get to fight the orc who killed the one person she wanted to spend the rest of her life with. Just to be sure he was dead, Avada Kedavra. The body did not move. Avada Kedavra!

"He's dead, Jordan." Thorin struggled to say. He could hear the fighting still going on in the valley below him, so he walked to the edge of the falls to look down over it.

The eagles had vastly dwindled the numbers of the orcs in a matter of minutes. Radagast still rode on the back of one, helping direct where to go. Beórn had transformed into his bear form and was bulldozing through the orc ranks. Elrond, his sons, and the other two elves had joined the fight. The side of light finally had the upper hand in this war. The forces of darkness were helpless without their leader to command them. Soon it would be all over.

Thorin fell to his knees as he took it all in. Jordan came to his side and helped him lay down on his back. "I broke my curse, Jordan."

I can see that. Jordan signed, not wanting to speak in black speech.

"But I am too late to celebrate my victories." He choked on his words as he could feel energy drain from his body. "I'm sorry. I know you did not bring this upon us. It was me."

Stop talking. And moving. Or it will hurt worse. Jordan warned him she pulled open his coat to see the damage done by the blade. It was a deep clean cut. She would have to act fast before he bled out.

"You dare threaten me again?" Thorin tried to make light of his situation.

Jordan raised one eyebrow at him and figured out what she must do. Don't move.

Thorin understood but kept talking anyway. "I was wrong about so many things. One of them being suspicious of you. I'm sorry for…"

Jordan cut him off when her spell, Vulnera Sanentur. Vulnera Sanentur. Vulnera Sanentur. It took all of her concentration and energy to heal him. He would still have a massive scar on his chest, but he would be alive. Besides, Nicole liked that ruggedly handsome and dangerous look. He would have nothing to worry about there.

A sharp intake of air finally convinced him to stop talking. With the magic flowing from the wand through his skin, the bleeding stopped, the wound cleaned, and the tissue began to heal. Thorin felt like he was reborn. The pain subsided and he could move and breath again. Only he had lost a lot of blood and was exhausted. He wanted to fall asleep. He turned to offer his thanks when he saw Bilbo kneel next to him. "Bilbo! I'm so sorry for what I did to you, my friend."

Jordan was having none of Thorin's 'woe is me' behavior. Save your bro-mance makeup for after you've slept and have your strength back. She looked over her shoulder and saw Gandalf, Dwalin, Balin, Bifur, Bombur, Bofur, Dori, Ori, Nori, Gloin, and Oin all walking toward them. She did not want anyone else to see her demon curse, so she stood up to leave.

"Jordan!" Thorin reached a hand up to her and grasped it firmly. "Break your curse. Protect your family!"

Jordan nodded to him then spoke to Bilbo. He will be fine. But he needs Dittany if he wants to remove the scars. She left the company, ignoring everyone trying to speak to her. She walked passed Azog's body, and just because she could, she cast the deadly green light on it one more time. She could hear footsteps following behind her, so she tried to out run them.

"Lass, wait!" Bifur called to her.

She spun around because it was a voice she was not sure she knew. She was dumbfounded to see Bifur without his axe and hear him talking to her. Please stay back!

"Where are you going? What's happened to you?"
I can't explain it.

"Is it your curse? Jordan, you don't have to live with it. We will find a way to break it! Between us and your family, we can end this nightmare for you. It will be all over, I promise."

You're right it will be over soon. I'm sorry for everything. Tears fell from her black eyes. She wanted to say more, but the curse would stop her and she could not afford to lose anyone else or any more time. Thank you for always being there for me. Good bye. She dissaparated with a loud crack.

Bifur sank to his knees and wept for the young woman he loved like a daughter. He wanted to protect her from all harm, wanted to see her grow and witness her goals become a reality. She had so much life in her, and the curse was draining it. He could not bear the thought of losing her at such a young age. He felt himself begin to fall apart when he heard Dwalin's voice of surprise.

"Is that Elrond with his two sons, Elladan and Elrohir?"

Balin's voice shook with joy, "aye! And that's Lady Galadriel and her husband, Celeborn!"

Bifur jumped to his feet and went to see for himself. "They can help her!"

Balin asked, "who?"

"Jordan! They can help break her curse before it kills her!" Bifur took off from Ravenhill and headed for the mountain where the elves were fighting. He had heard many legends of the Lady of Lothlorien and her magical ring, Nenya. If there was anyone in Middle Earth who could break the curse, it was the wisest elf of them all, Lady Galadriel.

Bofur and Bombur followed quickly after their cousin. They would not let him carry this burden alone. The rest of the company understood the necessity and did not question their motive. Instead, they loaded up Thorin into another chariot Gloin drove to return to Erébor.

Jordan apparated right outside of the gates of the mountain. The amount of hate, anger, and bitterness overwhelmed her; teetering on the edge of sanity. Fili was dead, her family will disown her once they learn of her betrayal, and she will probably die still cursed. Taking a deep breath, she forced to focus on her mission. Like everyone else, this was not the time to fall apart. Wiping the tear from her eye, she made for the library. She barely made it inside the mountain when a dwarf yelled to her.

"Gang way! Make a hole!" The dwarf was driving a cart that had many wounded dwarves riding in it who needed to be seen in the infirmary.

Jordan jumped out of the way and decided to follow the cart. It would probably make her feel even worse about her decisions. Only she hoped she would get a glimpse of her cousins before she left the Middle Earth. Nothing like a healthy dose of loathing and self-pity to motivate her. She peeked inside the infirmary and saw healers running in every direction, wounded dwarves in beds, others in chairs and on benches. Nicole was in charge of the whole operation, helping keep order, and heal the injured. She rushed by the door talking to a dwarf.

"Prince Fili should be waking soon. When he does, we need to move him from the bed, change the sheets, and put the next dwarf in line to be seen there." Nicole stated.

Jordan paused for a moment her heart dropping into her stomach. Fili's alive? She did not want to believe it to be true and get her heart broken all over again.

"Where should he go when he wakes?" the dwarf named Sarril asked. He was trained and experienced as a healer back in the Iron Hills. He brought a dozen other healers under him from home and they were waiting for his instructions. Even though she was human, Sarril chose to work alongside Nicole then fight for the authority of the infirmary. This was not the time to argue. He also heard from the dwarf-grapevine that she held King Thorin's favor, and was quite possibly his One. It would not be a good idea to alienate her.

"Have him wait at one of those chairs. I'd like to check him over one last time before he's discharged."

"It will be done, my lady." The dwarf bowed to her and was about to leave when she stopped him.

"Master Sarril, I need to make more healing potions if we are going to treat all of these people. I need every injured person to be sorted out by the severity of their wounds. If they can be stabilized, do so. I will use magic to heal everyone I can, but some people will need more than spells and charms. I need time to brew." Nicole explained carefully. "Also, have someone who is skilled in cooking for the masses head down to the kitchens and begin preparing food. And anyone who isn't doing anything, to start on laundry and cleaning our spaces. We can't risk infection."

"Yes, my lady. I will see to those assignments personally."

"Thank you. I don't know what we would have done without you."

The two went about their business, hurrying to get everything done. Jordan put on her invisibility cloak then followed her cousin around the infirmary. There were dwarves bustling about in every direction. It was tricky navigating around because she could not risk one of them bumping into her. When they stopped at the far opposite end of the infirmary, Fili was sleeping in a bed, his chest rising and falling with each even and peaceful breath.

René sat on a stool next to him reading one of her childhood books, The Tales of Beedle the Bard. It was touching to see the little girl want to help. She was half way through "The Wizard and the Hopping Pot" when Nicole spotted her.

She quietly came up next to her daughter and helped her say a word she was struggling with. "René, I asked you to stay in the apartment." She scolded softly, not wanting to start this conversation in a shouting match.

"I know, mama. But I wanted to help." René answered stubbornly.

"That's wonderful and I'm glad you want to help these dwarves. But I need you to go back inside the apartment." Nicole told her. René was going to argue but Nicole stopped her. "Right now, you can be the biggest help by keeping an eye on your brother. There are things out here I don't want you to see or hear. You can read to the dwarves when things are more stable out here."

"What sort of things?"

Nicole was reluctant to answer and she could hear more injured dwarves coming in to get help. She took the book and set it on the bedside table and motioned for René to hop off the stool. Explaining as they walked back to the apartment, "all the dwarves here are hurt very badly. I don't want you to see them in such pain. And they want and deserve their privacy on such matters. Do you understand?"

"Yes, mama."

"I promise you will be able to help. I will let you know when that happens. But you must be patient and wait for me to tell you."

"Okay, mama."

They entered the apartment together and found Gage sleeping on the floor with blanket, pillow, and stuffed phoenix tucked under his arm. Nicole tucked the blankets around him and added wood to the fire. The room had become a little chilly since she left.

René sat down on a chair. "Fili is going to wake up soon, mama. His bones are almost healed, his headache is gone."

Nicole turned around and stared at her daughter. She had not told her anything about Fili's injuries and was surprised her daughter knew what was happening to him. "Yes, hopefully very soon he will wake. How did you know that?"

"I just know." The little girl shrugged. "Where are Aunt Karah, and Aunt Jordan? And Nana, and Papa, and Grandma, and Grandpa? Oh! And Mr. Thorin, and Kili, and Mr. Balin, and Mr. Dwalin, and,"

Nicole could not bear to hear any more names. "I'm sorry, René. I don't know. I only know about the people inside the infirmary. Last I knew, Aunt Karah and Aunt Jordan went to go help Mr. Thorin, Fili and Kili. Nana, Papa, Grandma, and Grandpa were helping people in Dale."

"When will we hear from them?"

"I don't know that either." Nicole could understand her daughter's frustration. It was maddening just sitting around and waiting to hear news. "I will let you know as soon as I hear from them. Please keep an eye on your brother for me. Let me know when he wakes. I need to brew more potions." She hugged her daughter, kissed her son on his sleeping head, and went to the other room she designated to be the potions room.

Jordan waited until her cousins walked away to sit down on the stool. Tears rolled from her black eyes and down her face as she looked over him. Taking Fili's hand, she rubbed the back of it with her thumb. She could feel a pulse on his wrist. See his chest rise and fall with every breath he took. His face had a couple small cuts and the blood had dried. His left side still had splits to keep him still from where his bones were broken.

He will live. Jordan thought solemnly. When he wakes up, he will be good as new. Leaning down, careful not to move him, she kissed his lips one last time. I'll always love you. Thank you for loving me.

Letting go of his hand, she reached inside her bottomless bag. Pulling out her letter and the small bottle of Forgetfulness Potion, she set them both on the bedside table next to the book. She stood there for a moment, staring at him; almost wishing he would wake up and stop her from finishing her mission. Nevertheless, her brother was still counting on her to save him. She had done all she could to set up the perfect way to fix her mess. Just as she turned to leave, her eyes settled on the children's book. Something in her gut told her to take it. It would come in handy.

Then she remembered something else; the wrap bracelet Fili gave her on the mountain overlook. She thought for a moment and it dawned on her there was more after all. If she was successful in getting Blair away from Milhawke, where was he going to go if she did not make it? How would he know where to go when she sent him back to Middle Earth. She looked to Fili, who was still sleeping and made her decision. Carefully, she took one of his mustache beads, and plucked a loose hair strand from his head and tied them to the bracelet.

With one last kiss on to Fili's forehead and lips, Thank you. Swiftly and quietly, she left the infirmary and made for the library.

By the time the whole company returned to the mountain, it was buzzing with activity. The infirmary was full of patients waiting to be seen. The kitchen and laundry were fully operational. Every available dwarf was pitching in and working to put Erébor back to right. The original state would probably never happen, if it did, it would take decades. From now on, the new architects would put their own artwork in the stone. It was a new era with a new future ahead of them.

Thorin and Kili were able to get beds close to Fili. Nicole was relieved and overjoyed to see them. The reunion was cut short when she gave them sleeping drafts to speed up their healing process. She promised Thorin she would still be there when he woke up. Kili wanted to hold Karah's hand until he fell asleep. It took less than a minute and his mouth was hanging opening and snoring.

Bilbo stayed close to Thorin, not exactly sure what he should be doing. Technically, he was still banished. He and Thorin had reconciled in Ravenhill and the company knew that. But the rest of the world did not. He could not help himself worrying over the future, not just his, but everyone's.

"Bilbo?" Karah held out a cup of hot tea.

"Thank you," Bilbo accepted the cup and sipped.

"Are you alright? Are you hurt at all?"

"Nothing serious, I assure you."

"Let us help you, Bilbo."

"They're just cuts and bruises. There are others who need your care. I can wait."

Karah could read him like an open book, "don't worry, Bilbo. Everything will be okay. Thorin, Kili, and Fili will heal. I heard about what happened on the river. Thorin will pardon you. And if he doesn't, I'll beat him with my heaviest spell book; then help you get home. Not that you need my help slipping away unseen."

"What?" Bilbo looked at her curiously and pretended like he did not understand her mean. All the while, his heart was pounding so hard he could feel it in his ears.

She pointedly looked at her friend, "I don't know what magical object you have that makes you invisible. But be careful, Bilbo. I can sense its magic, so could Jordan. It doesn't feel friendly. I don't believe it means you well."

"I promise you, Lady Witch Karah, I'm perfectly fine." Bilbo felt his stomach flip, afraid she would discover the details of his secret.

"Be safe and smart, Bilbo Baggins. And drink your tea. I'll be back to check on you soon." Karah smiled at him before returning to the apartment to brew more potions. She was almost there when she saw Sarril chasing her down. "How can I help you, Master Sarril?"

The dwarf looked around for Nicole since she was the one he had been reporting to, but he figured it would not matter which sister he delivered the message. "My lady, there are humans outside the main gate demanding to see you. They claim to be your family."

"Oh, thank the Four Founders! Please let them in. We could use their help."

Sarril shook his head. "The guards will not let them inside. You may have to verify their identity. I might suggest you bring Lord Balin with you. If he's the king's head advisor, he might be able to help."

Karah nodded, "I understand. Thank you." She poked her head inside the apartment and shouted to her sister the news. "I'll be right back with them." She hurried for the main gate with Balin, grabbing Dwalin on the way. She figured since she was inside the mountain, the guard would do as she asked, however it would not hurt to have some back up.

She was both right and wrong. The dwarves guarding the gate did not listen to her one bit. They still had animosity for humans. Since they were from the Iron Hills, they did not know the witches or their involvement with Thorin Oakenshield's company. To them, the humans were only trying to gain access to the mountain to steal the treasure. Balin stepped in and explained everything, declaring that the entire Gatekeeper family would be granted access to the mountain. The guards began to argue because they did not have confirmation from their king, only they stopped talking when Dwalin glared at them. He warned them it would not be in their best interest to ignore an order from the King's head advisor. They agreed to let them pass, knowing it would be on Balin and Dwalin if it did not turn out well.

Priscilla and Ruben bowed to the dwarves trying to show respect and understanding to their point of view. Jeremy and Alicia did so reluctantly, only because they were anxious to see their children. They all took turns enveloping Karah in tight hugs and went to the infirmary. When the whole family reunited, the children's joy at seeing their grandparents and it seemed to make all the pain go away. However, Karah was going into a panic! Jordan was not among them and she had no idea where she would have gone after she disappeared from Ravenhill. Where did she go?

Some members of the company came to introduce themselves to the family. The Gatekeepers were incredibly grateful to the dwarves and Bilbo for taking good care of Jordan and Karah. The company and Karah had the good sense to not bring up the many near-death experiences they faced together. The parents and grandparents were surprised by their loyalty and dedication to the witches, especially hearing about Bifur, Bofur, and Bombur. Balin stepped in on their behalf since they were not currently present. He once again tapped into his diplomatic tone to explain so the Gatekeepers would understand and not be taken aback by the devotion of the Ur family. Priscilla and Alicia were touched by the thought and care by Bifur and the rest of the company. Ruben and Jeremy were still a little hesitant, but their thoughts of displeasure shifted to Thorin, Fili, and Kili when they overheard Bofur joke with Bilbo about the witches being Ones.

Jeremy was the first to speak up. "I'm sorry, my daughters are what?" His stomach dropped because he was sure he already knew the answer.

Priscilla intervened before her son could offending anyone. The dwarves have shown their allegiance to her granddaughters, she could imagine what would happen if an outsider insulted their royal family. "I don't think this is the appropriate time to be discussing this. As of right now, all three dwarves in question are in a coma. And…" She paused, and started looking around, "where is Jordan?"

They family turned to Karah. "I don't know. The last time I saw her, she took off after Bolg when Kili and Tauriel got hurt." Then it dawned on her that she had not seen her friend since then either. "What about Tauriel?"

Nori answered, "I saw her and the elf prince leaving Ravenhill together when we were riding in on the chariot. They seemed to be alright. It looked like there was a parting of ways between King Thranduil and his son. I don't know what they said to each other. They didn't appear to be at odds. Just battle worn like the rest of us." Karah let out a breath of relief.

Bilbo stepped forward with more information, knowing he was the only person present to have a conversation with her before she apparated away. "Jordan disappeared after she healed Thorin. Which reminds me, she told me to tell you, Lady Nicole, he would need Dittany if he wanted his scars to heal." Nicole understood and thanked him.

"What do you mean she disappeared?" Ruben was stunned by his foolish granddaughter.

"Like you witches and wizards do when you disappear and reappear in different places." Bilbo answered literly.

"No! You mean Jordan is still out in the open, using magic, while the fighting is still going on? She could be hurt, or killed by an orc!"

"You are only half right about that," Dwalin answered grievously. "Jordan's curse has taken over her completely. If she dies, it will probably be from someone on our side thinking she is of the dark side."

"What do you mean, Master Dwarf?" Priscilla asked and placed a calming hand on her husband's chest. "Jordan has been possessed by the curse since she was a child. Why would now be any different?"

Balin again took over, "it's like something inside of her snapped and it's consumed her. Her eyes are black, her tattoos are covered with ones of black speech, and she can talk out loud; but only in black speech."

Ruben's breath slowly sighed out of his lungs and his heart felt like broken lead. He thought of his daughter and her fighting spirit and how she was gone forever. It is unnatural for a parent to bury their child and it nearly killed him and his wife to do it. With only Jordan left of her immediate family, he swore of the graves of his daughter, son in law, and grandson he would protect her. He had failed them. His granddaughter was missing and would probably be brought back to him in a body bag. "No. It's not going to end like this. I'm going after her."

"I'm going with you." Priscilla stated.

"Us too," Dwalin spoke up for the company. He was about to ask if anyone had seen Bifur, Bofur, and Bombur since they arrived. He wanted to hear the plan to involve the Lady of Lórien when he was interrupted.

Sarril approached again with more news, "Gatekeepers! The grey wizard, elf king, and elf lords are outside demanding to see you. Lord Dain has taken over responsibility of the mountain until King Thorin wakes. He refuses to let them inside and is requesting you come to the battlement to speak to them. The Ur family is advocating for them. Well, the toymaker is actually screaming to let them inside. The minor and cook are trying to defuse the situation, only they haven't been successful."

Balin was ready to put his advising and negotiating skills to work. "I'll go with you to the battlement and help defuse this. Bifur had an idea about asking the Lady Galadriel for help in breaking Jordan's curse. I think he's on to something there." Looking to his brother and the rest of the dwarves, "I suggest the rest of you search the mountain. She could be here. Since she's only seen a small portion of the mountain, it shouldn't take long to find her. I'll join you when we get this sorted with the elves."

Ruben appreciated Balin's assistance with Dain Ironfoot. He did not know the Lord of the Iron Hills personally. He'd heard him to be a just and wise leader of his people. However, he proved to be openly hostile with the elves and humans before the war started, and clearly still felt that way despite fighting on the same side against the orcs. Ruben vowed he would swallow his pride to find his granddaughter and take all the help he could get. "Let's get moving then. We shall speak with Lord Dain and the elves before we leave the mountain and search the valley."

"And Ravenhill, Dale, and the surrounding areas." Jeremy suggested and readied to leave with his parents.

Alicia stood next to her eldest daughter. "I'll stay with you and brew more potions. I can also help keep an eye on the children."

Karah looked at Kili, who was still sleeping, and then to her sister. "If he wakes while I'm gone, let him know I'll be back. I'm going to help find Jordan."

"Of course. When they wake, I'm sure all three of them will want to help. Especially Fili. Actually, he should be waking any time now." Nicole understood the feeling. Only she was stressing on how to break the news to him if Jordan was not found before he stirred. Looking over the three royals, she spotted a small potion bottle and a letter addressed to Fili sitting on the bedside table. She did not recall seeing them earlier and wondered who put them there. Unwilling to open another's letter, she returned to the apartment with her mother to make more potions. She asked Sarril to notify her when Fili, Kili, and Thorin woke so she could try to explain what was happening.

Everyone parted ways to see to their charges. The dwarves begun their search and the Gatekeepers hurried to the battlement. They were hopping the elves would help and be able to break Jordan's curse once they found her. Karah had so many thoughts and possibilities running through her mind. One of them was that Jordan was hiding something greater than just the inner workings of her curse. She hoped she was wrong and they would find her before it was too late.

Hey Reader!

Wow! I can't believe Part 3 is complete! :)) I'm working on Part 4, which is the end of my little series. Thank you so much for sticking it out this far. I hope you enjoy the ending as much as I have writing it. Thank you again for your time and support.

Love, Sally
