Are you gonna add "Monster Hunter" beasts in the following chapters? Like "Jhen Mohran" if so put their info in your credits at the bottom of the chapter so we can visualise it better?
Actually, the sand sharks are the only Monster Hunter creatures I plan on using... in Vaccuo. They're based on the Cephalos, with the Alpha obviously based on a Cephadrome. There's also another fodder monster in this chapter, but no one cares about fodder... I hope. The Boss Grimm are based on ANOTHER famous monster game. You'll know them when you read them (hopefully).
But I plan on using an actual Monster Hunter monster in the Menagerie Arc. No spoilers, just know... that I HATED fighting it. That screaming, charging bitch. The number of times it knocked me out, sometimes with one hit. I SWEAR I DODGED! Imma kills it as many times as I wanna.

Your Jaune, just like any other person in the world, is not perfect, he made mistakes, some that didn't sit right with me since Treasured Silver. But I believe that he is a decent father (better than some shounen fathers at least lol), in regards to being a teacher I do not find him lacking.
If I would rate him, he is between a 6 to a 7. The reason being is that taking your kid to a goddam dangerous mission with reckless abandon and letting his family lose their minds in fear and worry over a 10 year old kid riding nevermores, fighting psychopaths and going against a GOD THAT DESTROYED HALF OF THE FUCKING MOON! Is just crazy, I'm sorry but that takes some points from him. If Argent was the same age as Sparrow (14 i believe?) or 15-17, i would relent since that is the same age that Team RWBY and JNPR started their "shenanigans". Goku would approve this kind of behaviour though lol.
(Sorry if my english is bad, its not my first language)
Actually, your English isn't that bad at all. At least I can understand it. I actually like 6 to 7. Seems fair to me. I'm betting that the mistake you mean in Treasured Silver was not telling Arie his mom was Ruby. That was kinda messed up, eh? But hey, better straight up abandon your kid to run a country and tell him to look for you by himself, or force his beliefs on his kids to the point of traumatization, or fusing your kid with her pet puppy dog in order to keep your license. Jeez, Jaune would have arrested a lot of anime dads.
Yeah, not gonna lie, if Jaune was a bit stricter, he would have MADE his son stay with Ruby to keep him safe. Argent has dealt with crazier situations than most Huntsmen do AFTER they get their licenses, and Arie is only 10. I mean, like you said, Jaune is up against a literal god. Not an overpowered immortal woman with seemingly endless magic and an endless supply of Grimm; but the being who CREATED BOTH MAGIC AND THE GRIMM. So, yeah, Jaune does deserve some point deductions. Fair assessment. Oh, and Sparrow is only 13. Even if he was 13, many of the situations are a bit too extreme. Still, he is pretty damn protective of his kid, believe it or not.
But yeah, Goku would like this. In fact, he would love to have a kid like Argent. A son who loves to train, wants to be like his dad, and wants to become as strong (if not stronger) than his father? Argent would have been the perfect Saiyan son.
Guest-
WOOOO! IT'S TIME FOR VACUO! XD
Someone's excited to see Sun.
Jaune was concentrating, trying to see if he could get any more information out of the Alpha Sand Shark.
"Hm. Weird. They keep to themselves, away from other Grimm, and especially away from each other."
"Where are they," Argent asked.
"There's one in the east, closer to the border, and the other is in the west near the ocean. According to this Sand Shark, the new airborne Grimm is in the east while the sand Grimm is in the west." Jaune then patted the Sand Shark's face. With a quick bark, the large Grimm jumped over the Arcs and dove into the sand. There was absolutely no trace of it now. "So, Arie, which sounds cooler, a big Sand Grimm or a big Sky Grimm?"
"Well, if you want my personal opinion, we should go after the flier," Nimueh said.
"What makes you say that," Jaune asked. Nimueh then pointed in a direction, which Jaune followed. "Oh."
"Whoa. I've seen plenty of sandstorms on Vacco's walls, but never one THAT big," Argent went in awe.
"And of course, it would be in the exact direction of Vaccuo," Jaune sighed. "No way I can drive through that."
"Why not?"
"Argent, there are certain risks no one must take. Vaccuo natives don't even travel in sandstorms. Visibility is cut, your sense of direction is inhibited, and there could be all manner of Grimm hidden in that. I once heard how a group of bandits escaped from authorities in a sandstorm. The next day when the storm was gone, their vehicles were found, parts melted... and 'parts' found." Argent knew the context of what his dad meant. "Further study revealed that they were attacked by Death Worms, which are also pack hunters and are arguably better at ambush tactics than Sand Shark. They're also more stubborn. Sonic attacks wouldn't be as effective on them. Going into a sandstorm is way too dangerous, even for me."
"So, we're going after the flying Grimm," Argent asked.
"I don't see why not," Jaune shrugged. "It would be better to fly over something like a sandstorm, anyway."
"Does that mean we should have called Neverflame?"
Jaune shrugged again. "He would definitely help out in this situation, but even Nevermore's have limits. Sandstorms have incredibly high winds that could make Neverflame lose control of his flying, so it might be too dangerous to ride him."
"Aw."
"Though, going after that Sand Grimm might be helpful. We'd be able to ride on its back through the storm and it could defend us from any Grimm if it's as powerful as the rumors say. Though, a flier would go over that just fine. What do you wanna do, Arie?"
"Me?"
"Might as well see how good you are at decision making."
"Oh, well, no pressure, right? Just getting a pop quiz in the middle of a desert."
Jaune chuckled. "You should see Glynda's pop quizzes. Though, you will soon enough."
Argent sighed before he thought about it. "I think it would be best to go after the flying Grimm. The more dangerous Grimm in the desert is swimming around in the sand, right?"
"Correct."
"Then the Flier should be theoretically weaker. Besides, if it flies high enough, we'll be safe from that sandstorm, right?"
"Very well deduced, Argent," Jaune said as he reeved the King's Glaive back to life, his family back on the motorcycle, ready to ride. "Still, be prepared. We don't know how powerful this particular Grimm is. We may need to retreat and regroup."
"Won't that be risky," Argent asked.
"Absolutely, especially since we're running out of daylight. We're way past high noon. A few more hours and the sun will be down. Once that happens, we'll have to find decent shelter and handle the desert cold."
"Desert what," Argent asked.
"It gets freezing cold out in the desert at night, Arie," Nimueh explained. "It's thanks to the sand. It absorbs sunlight and superheats the air to the blistering temperature you feel now, but without sunlight, the heat in the sand is nonexistent and its stored heat just radiates into the air, this time supercooling everything. In short, it's all Mr. Sun's fault."
Argent snickered. "It sounds like you're blaming Uncle Sun," he giggled out.
Nimueh giggled with her son. "It kinda does."
"Don't laugh at that," Jaune said as he drove towards the eastern side of the sandstorm towards the flying Grimm's territory. "That was a terrible pun. What are you, a Xiao Long?"
"Hey," Nimueh went.
"Well, I do have Xiao Long blood in me."
"Don't remind us," his parents went in unison.
Jaune rode towards the area he sensed from the Alpha Sand Shark, a few Grimm getting in his way every once in a while. He mostly ran over Sulfur Fish while Argent slashed Dromedons as they drove by. A Jackalope did try to chase them, but an expertly timed drift and a blast from the King's Glaive Aura Cannon took care of that giant bunny with no problem.
In what felt like minutes, they reached a site of ruins, some plateaus sprinkled here and there.
"This should be its turf," Jaune said as he slowed down.
"Where is it," Argent asked.
Jaune drove into the ruins, parking the motorcycle in the middle on the stone floor. As soon as he did, a rumbling was felt.
Then, something massive burst out of the sand before them, stretching into the sky. It was a Grimm, longer than even the giant King Taijitu Jaune and Raven killed on Grimm Island, with massive bone wings, and an incredibly long snout that looked like it could pierce a hole through New Mantle's largest warship.
"Whoa. That thing's massive," Argent went.
"THAT'S one of the rumored Grimm," Jaune went. "It looks like it could take on a Monstra!"
"Did my old man really make that thing?"
"Make," Jaune asked.
"No way something that huge and unique would naturally occur. It was created. . . But for some reason, I can't imagine my dad making it. It's not even attacking us."
Jaune looked up and realized Nimueh was right. "It's just... flying?"
"A Grimm that doesn't attack," Argent asked. "I thought only your Grimm did that, dad."
"It's weird, there's no questioning that. How would it even attack?" Jaune analyzed the great beast before shaking his head. "Nim, think you can drive?"
"Can I drive," she asked sarcastically. "I should be asking if you can Conquer that thing. It's about two Neverflames long! You've never Conquered something that huge before."
"First time for everything," Jaune said as he got off the King's Glaive and walked onto the sand. "Be safe, you two."
"That's our line, hero," Nimueh said.
"Good luck, dad," Argent waved.
Jaune chuckled under his helmet before tapping it. "Keep your comms up. Might need some advice."
"You always do," Nimueh said as she leaned onto their son.
Jaune then grew his wings and flew up towards the Grimm. "Seriously, what do I even call this thing?"
"How about we call it... Serpent God," Argent suggested.
"Basic name," Jaune chuckled. "We'll put it on the board for now. Pretty fast for its size."
"Just land wherever you can on it," Nimueh suggested.
"Alright," Jaune said as he sped up and grabbed the lower mid-section of the beast, and climbed on. He dusted himself off before looking at the body. "Of course."
"What," Nimueh and Argent asked.
"It's covered in smaller Grimm. Mainly, Sulfur Fish."
The small Grimm noticed Jaune and hissed at him, their stingers ready to defend the Grimm they were riding on.
Jaune looked at the swarm of Sulfur Fish rushing toward him before analyzing his situation. He didn't have his sword, his martial arts are more of a last resort against Grimm with long to mid-range attacks like Sulfur Fish, and there wasn't a lot of dodge room on the back of a flying serpentine Grimm. Jaune then looked down at his hands and pointed finger guns at the creatures. "This is the closest I'll ever come to using guns, Rubes."
Orbs of fire formed at the tips of Jaune's fingers. As soon as a Sulfur Fish lunged at him, he shot at it, killing it instantly. The next Fish he shot screeched in pain as it fell off the Grimm, the flame blazing before it was blown away. Jaune continued to progress and fire more and more Fish appearing.
"The hell are these things coming from," Jaune asked as he kicked a Fish away from him before shooting the next one.
'Dad, Serpent God has these weird sacks on its stomach! I can see more Sulfur Fish crawling out of them.'
"So, it's a Carrier Type like the Monstra and Wyvern. Terrific."
'I've got it,' Nimueh went. Jaune then heard a blast, heard the sound of something rushing out, and the pained roar of the Serpent. 'Like popping a balloon.'
"Careful, Nim. We can't have you running out of Aura."
'Don't worry, dad. I'm keeping her charged with mine.'
"That doesn't make me feel any better, Arie. I told you it's too dangerous to run out of Aura in the desert."
'You just deal with the Serpent God while we- Oh, no.'
"What?"
'That sack mom popped? A big worm thing fell out of it with some Sulfur Fish. I think it's after us. It looked as big as King's Glaive.'
"Death Worms. Be careful, you two. Their acid is no joke, and they let out enough electricity to power the Schnee Mansion."
'We got this. We'll try shooting the other two sacks while we're at it.'
"Nim, stick to driving. Have Argent deal with the long-range and defense."
'Really,' Argent went in excitement.
"Go nuts, kiddo," Jaune chuckled.
'ALRIGHT!'
'Just don't do anything too crazy, hero.'
"Nim, it's me."
'EXACTLY.'
Jaune continued to shoot until the Sulfur Fish began to swarm in even greater numbers. Jaune was even forced to jump away to avoid them. Then, an opportunity lunged at him.
It was too close to kick away, so Jaune just grabbed and Conquered it. With the small Grimm in his hand, he swung it around, its tail acting like a whip that took out an entire pack in one swing. Jaune held up the Sulfur Fish, the Grimm chirping at him, before looking at it contemplatively.
Jaune then held out his arm, the Sulfur Fish crawling onto it. The small Grimm then wrapped its legs around Jaune's forearm, looking like a gauntlet. Jaune then swung his arm, the Fish's tail an even more effective weapon than before, Jaune ended his combo with a heavy slam that took out a swarm of Sulfur Fish. Jaune looked at his arm and smirked. "Nice. It's like having a brand-new weapon," he said as he rubbed the Grimm's head, making it trill in a happy-sounding tone.
Jaune then got an idea and used his elastic powers to grab another Fish, Conquered it, and equipped it. With both arms barring a Sulfur Fish, Jaune began to swing six burning whips at the legion of Grimm. He was taking them out easily, the swarms not standing a chance against two of their kind in the arms of the King.
"This is awesome! Though, using whips is not exactly my style. I wonder if the Fish can stiffen their tails to be more sword-like?" As soon as he said that the tails stiffened, looking more like red hot blades. "Nice."
Jaune then swung his new "swords", taking out more of the enemy. He did even more damage with his famous Wind Blade, the blades even more powerful due to being caused by the burning tails of Sulfur Fish.
Jaune then got an idea, turning one of his Fish around, the blade pointing behind Jaune. He then took a stance and began to spin, now a burning, slicing tornado that left a path of burning Grimm smoke behind him. When he stopped, enough smoke to be confused for a distress call was leaving a path as the Serpent God flew.
Jaune looked at his Grimm and smirked. "This. Is. Amazing. Who knew Grimm could be such amazing wea-. . ." Jaune chuckled dryly. "I guess you would have known, eh, Salem? Never thought I would ever praise Grimm, let alone fight with them. If Tyrian saw me, that sick bastard would only grow in his beliefs."
The Fish Jaune was looking at then loosened its tail, surprising Jaune. It then thrust towards him, shocking the man, before he realized it missed him completely. Jaune then looked behind him to see a stabbed Fish fading away, blinked at it, and looked back at the Fish that protected him. He then rubbed its head, making it trill happily again.
Jaune then switched back the other Fish and ran down the Serpent God before reaching its head. Jaune was about to Conquer it before he realized that the Sulfur Fish's tails would touch and harm the Grimm, possibly making it take evasive maneuvers that would have thrown Jaune off. As such, he switched both of them, so their tails pointed toward Jaune's back. The moment he did, they were already defending him. He looked to see a Razor Wing fall to the side of him before falling towards the ground.
Jaune was impressed by his Sulfur Fish. Still, he prepared to Conquer the Great Grimm. Grabbing a hold of its head, he placed his hand on the beast and began to Conquer.
He was surprised. Though it was Dark, it wasn't nearly as Dark as he thought it would be. The evil of the Wendigo was far greater, but it still put up a fight. Jaune's Yellow was fighting against the Serpent God's purple, the process slow but steady. Though Jaune was pushed back a few times, he still had the upper hand. Though he didn't like that so far, his Yellow only engulfed the creature's head, meaning he still had over six HUNDRED feet of Grimm to Conquer. He hoped that also didn't include the Grimm in its sacks.
However, as Jaune was Conquering it, something surprising happened that took Jaune off guard.
'Do you believe you are worthy to be my liege?'
The King's Glaive roared as it jumped over a dune, Argent slashing a lunging Sulfur Fish in half. Nimueh was able to expertly maneuver through the sandy landscape, avoiding the acid of the Death Worms. She then smirked as she drove towards a cliff's face.
"Mom?! What are you doing?!"
"Just watch, sweetie."
"WHOOOOOOOA!"
Nimueh then drifted. The precise drift allowed her to ride up the cliff wall before she kicked off of the rock face, riding away as the Death Worm chasing them slammed into the stone wall. Argent looked back to see smoke seeping out of the sand.
"WHOO! That was AWESOME! And I thought dad was an awesome rider!"
"What, you thought your mom wasn't as badass as your dad?"
"I didn't think you were THAT badass!"
Nimueh giggled. "Just because I'm the Spirit of Destruction doesn't mean I don't have some tricks up my sleeves." A screech was heard, making the mother and son look up. "Speaking of tricks."
"A flock of Ravagers," Argent yelled.
"Damn. Sorry, Jaune, but I might need to use some Aura."
"Actually, mom, you won't."
"Huh?"
"I was hoping to use this in a fight against some tough guy, but this definitely calls for it."
"Honey, what are you talking about?" A Wind Blade then rushed towards the flock, but it looked different. Nimueh then realized why when the entire flock of Ravagers was shocked to death. She looked back in time to see Crocea Mors still sparking. "Arie was that Lightning Dust?!"
"Yup."
"How?!"
"It was how Doc Dante upgraded Crocea. He made it so the handle of the sword can slide open where I can load at least two vials of Dust."
"So that's why you compared it to Sparrow's weapon."
"I can't wait to use it on someone like him. Still, this was a great way to test it. Uh-oh."
Nimueh looked forward to see why her son said that. "Wild Sand Sharks. Greeeeat," she went sarcastically. She then had to maneuver her way through the pod of Grimm. When one tried to lunge at her, she grabbed it by the tip of its snout with just two fingers before using it as a makeshift bat on the other lunging Sharks. Then, she prepared to throw it like a dart and flung it towards another lunging Grimm, the two slamming into a nearby plateau.
"Not sure how much longer we can do this. Jaune, how are things going up there?!" No response. "Jaune?!" Still no response. "JAUNE! Dammit!" She reeved up the King's Glaive to get farther away from the incoming Grimm before looking up to see Serpent God still flying above them.
She noticed how some more Grimm were crawling and slithering their way out of the remaining two sacks, but they weren't crawling onto the back of the Grimm at all. In fact, they were falling off towards the ground, becoming bigger problems for the mother-son duo.
"That's not good," she said. "Still, this helmet is New Mantle tech. No way would we be too far for a signal disconnect. What's happening up there?"
"Maybe Serpent God is giving dad trouble with Conquer?"
"Maybe. I've never seen your father try to Conquer a Grimm that big before. Who knows how much mental strength he's using right now? Still, as much as I want to worry about your father, I'm more worried about us. King's Glaive is running low on Aura. It's at the quarter point of the gauge. Worst yet, I can feel myself running low, too."
Argent looked behind him to see the chasing pods of Sand Sharks and Death Worms. "Not looking good behind us, either. Oh!" Argent then opened the hilt of his sword, switched the Lightning Dust for Ice Dust, and stabbed his sword into the ground, creating an icy ground.
After he did so, a Sand Shark slammed into the ice, shooting the Grimm out of the ground with a screech before it landed hard on the ground, flopping around like a fish. A Death Worm also slammed into the ice, flipping out of the sand and slamming into the ice. It began to wriggle around, obviously in pain and even more obviously agitated. The ice claimed many more victims in the same way before the back of the pods swam around the ice.
"Nice job, Arie! That brought us a bit more breathing room," Nimueh said proudly.
Argent did his laugh before looking around. "Oh, mom, look! That plateau seems lower compared to the others! Think you can reach it?"
Nimueh looked and saw the plateau Argent meant. "Might take some skill but seems doable. Arie, sheath Crocea and hold on tight. Things are about to get crazy." Argent followed his mother's instructions, sheathing Crocea Mors and making sure it was safely fastened to him before tightly hugging his mother's waist.
"LET'S RIDE," Nimueh roared as she reeved King's Glaive to its max, the bike roaring as it sped towards the plateau. She was expertly riding past attacking Ravagers, lunging Sand Sharks, and spitting Death Worms. Then, a larger than normal Death Worm appeared in Nimueh's path, roaring at her.
She smirked. "I was hoping one of you would do that."
Nimueh then reeled back her fist and punched forward, sending a wave of powerful wind towards the Death Worm. The force of the attack punched the Grimm's head upward, making it look like a black tower. Nimueh then popped a wheelie and reeved the King's Glaive once more. She then rode up the Worm, using it as a makeshift ramp, and jumped towards the plateau.
Though the landing was bumpier than she would have preferred, Nimueh slid the King's Glaive to a halt.
"Okay, THAT WAS FREAKIN' AWESOME," Argent cheered.
"Don't get too excited, Arie. We still have company," she said as she got off the bike with Argent.
Moments later, swarms of Sulfur Fish scurried around the two, with Ravagers circling them. Argent then took out his sword and shield while Nimueh took her stance.
"Kinda unfair, don't you think," Argent asked. "At least they had the sand to keep them safe and hidden."
"Well, they shouldn't have followed us here, should they," Nimueh asked as she smirked at her son.
"Shi-shi-shi. Good point."
The two then smirked at the Grimm surrounding them.
"BRING IT," mother and son said in excited unison.
Jaune stared at the Serpent God, eyes wide. He couldn't believe how... passive the Grimm's "voice" was. It sounded calm, peaceful, and unconfrontational. It didn't sound like it was challenging Jaune's rule or Conquer. It was genuinely asking a question.
Jaune then took a deep breath and let it out to calm himself, opening his eyes. Despite the hologram still being active, his blue eyes were now blood red, symbolizing his use of his Grimm Powers. He was showing that he accepted being the King of the Grimm. "I am."
'Why do you believe so?'
"Because I was able to reach you. Despite being the master of Vacuo's desert skies, you were not out of my reach. Despite being guarded by swarms of Sulfur Fish, I could still touch your head. Even now, I am unharmed. Undefeated. I won. I Conquered you."
'I am still yet Conquered. Why should I accept you as my liege?'
Jaune took a moment to think. "Because you are not a being of evil."
'Your words are strange, fledgling King. Am I not a Creature of Grimm? Does not your former race, humanity, call me a creature of evil?'
"We do, but you are unique. Even before I met you, I heard rumors of you. A massive, terrifying Grimm who darkens the sky with its mighty wings alone, yet I heard no such story of destruction. Even looking back into your memories, you've never taken a life."
'Untrue. Many a mortal as perished due to my involvement.'
"Due to the Grimm you carry, you mean. The Grimm in your sacks. But you yourself have never killed. You've never even attacked. Those bone-covered wings, that long bone snout, even your very size could have been used as weapons to harm, destroy and kill. Yet, you've never harmed anyone or anything. Can you tell me why?"
The voice was silent.
"It's simple. You aren't truly evil. You were formed of darkness, yes, but that doesn't automatically make you evil. I don't want to kill a Grimm like you. In fact, I don't NEED to. All you need to do is accept me as your liege, and you will be guarded."
The voice was silent.
"If you lack faith in me, then know that I can become stronger. I can become even more powerful than I am now. I can become the King you deserve and protect you, your home, and this very world. Please, believe me. No. As your King, I order you to place your faith in me."
'. . . One will stand before you.'
"Your creator, the God of Darkness."
'His hatred towards you will grow. His anger towards me will rise. Your future will be filled with hardship and trial. Can you truly say you can protect one such as I from a being such as he?'
". . . Not as I am now. I need to get stronger and to do that, I need allies. Allies such as you. Serpent God, ruler of the Skies of Vacuo, pledge yourself to me and become my servant. Help me create the Kingdom of Grimm that can withstand even the creator himself!"
'. . . You... are worthy to be my liege.' The purple half of the Serpent God's body was then completely engulfed in yellow, the great Grimm glowing brightly.
A Swarm of Sulfur Fish taking the form of a roaring beast lunged at their target but was blown away by a simple clap from Nimueh. Argent slashed some fish and bashed more with his shield. He jumped to avoid the dive attack of a Ravager, slashing it in half when he landed. He then prepared the greatsword function and swung with enough force to make a Wind Blade powerful enough to make a path off the plateau, which was quickly covered by Sulfur Fish.
"Starting to get annoyed," Nimueh said.
"Yeah. Think we should take our chances on the sand?" As soon as Argent asked that, a Sand Shark jumped onto the plateau before squirming towards him at decent speeds, but Argent simply stabbed its head, killing it. "Maybe not."
"Alright, maybe I'll just turn these things into dust in one blow," Nimueh said as she clapped her hands together.
"Mom, no! That will use up all of your Aura!"
"At least you'll be safe, kiddo." Nimueh then yelled as she was preparing her attack.
Then, the Serpent God roared.
Nimueh stopped her attack to look up with Argent, seeing the great Grimm circle around them. Then, they realized they didn't hear the scurry of attacking Sulfur Fish. They looked to see the small Grimm just standing before they turned and scuttled away.
Moments later, they heard the familiar flap of wings and looked to see Jaune land nearby. "Yo."
Nimueh looked up to see the flying Grimm before looking at her husband. She then shook her head and giggled. "So, I take it that's yours now?"
"Yup. And not just that, but all of Eastern Vacuo is now under my command thanks to this guy. He's as influential as Big Ben."
"Awesome! SG for the win," Argent went as he gave a thumbs up to the Grimm.
Nimueh giggled before she realized something. "Wait, Eastern?"
Jaune got a serious look before nodding. "Yeah. Serpent God only ruled the eastern half of the desert. The other half, the west belongs to another Grimm. One that's actually vicious. The rumors I've heard about that guy are no joke. It sounds almost like a Blind Worm, but somehow worse."
"Aren't Blind Worms as big as King Taijitus," Argent asked. "What could be worse than that?"
"We could find out, or we can use Serpent God to fly over that sandstorm and get to Vacuo. It'll be night soon, and we're not fully equipped for desert nights."
Argent looked towards the sky. "The sun's not set yet."
"But it is getting lower. In another hour or so, you'll see the beginnings of the setting sun, and FEEL them, too. You sure you want to risk that, kiddo?"
Argent looked at himself. He was wearing pretty casual clothes, save for the armor based on his dad's old set. It kept him safe, but it wasn't exactly weatherproof. He was able to handle the heat pretty well, but the cold was his weak point. He then looked at his dad. It was true that he was more than human now, but Argent didn't want his dad to take any chances with his health. After all, the man was only wearing a white button-up shirt.
"Let's go to Vacuo. I'm sure Uncle Sun has plenty of gear for us to borrow," Argent said with a smile.
"No, he won't," his parents said in unison.
"But won't hurt to see your uncle again," Jaune said with a smile, making Argent smile again.
Jaune then lifted King's Glaive over his shoulder, Nimueh picking up Argent as he did, making the boy embarrassed. When Jaune grabbed Nimueh with his free arm, he spread his wings and flew onto Serpent God's back. After patting the great Grimm's back, the creature flew towards Vacuo, well above the still raging sand storm.
A/N: Be honest, how many of you recognized the Grimm Jaune just conquered. If you know, say the name in the reviews. If you don't know its name, say where it came from. Here's a hint to make it easier, it came from a game.
The rhym was not intentional.
Anyway, we're off to Vacuo! Just don't expect too much. I personally haven't read all of After the Fall. I do know where I can listen to it, but I haven't done that either. Oops.
Well, hopefully, you guys will enjoy it anyway.
Until then!
