A/N: Guest-
Awesome chapter and yup that grimm is absolutely terrifying. if that showed up in the show, id be like "NOPE!" XD anyways dude, excited for more chapters XD Btw SilentKnight fan here but that little tidbit you did if jaune x neo have 3 daughters, one is a mini neo, another is like nagatoro and the last one is like uzaki. been thinking about it and id love to read a full what if chapter or special XD Cuz it wouldnt just be jaune or argent having to deal with that XD it'd be yang, ruby and nimueh etc XD
Hah! Like RT would have the guts to use a Grimm that badass. They could have had the Wendigo, but they dropped the ball on that. And all because of Twitter. Terrible platform. Also, Mini Neo, Nagatoro, and Uzaki... MESSING WITH YANG, RUBY, AND NIMUEH?! I LOVE IT! Might take a while to write that, though. I'm more of a Nagatoro guy, so writing Uzaki might be difficult for me. Might drag some friends of mine into it. Sadly, don't expect it any time soon.
But hey, at least we have this special.
Over one month has passed since Jaune was in New Mantle.
New Mantle was as peaceful and beautiful as ever. Quiet, calm, and serene. Under Winter's leadership, the kingdom was safe, secured, and advanced. It was nothing like it was during the days of Atlas. It truly was a grand kingdom.
Too bad Ruby couldn't care less, since she was puking her guts out. Weiss was rubbing her back in worry. Ruby wasn't one for getting sick, after all.
"Ugh. I feel like crap," Ruby said before she puked some more.
"Just let it out, rosebush."
"Weeeeeiiiis."
"Yeees?"
"What did we eat?" Ruby gagged. "What did I eat?"
"Well, you don't always eat at the same restaurants as I do. Did you go to some hole-in-the-wall last Tuesday?"
"They made really good curry."
"You don't even like curry."
"But they made it really good. Are you sure it wasn't those Brussel Sprouts?"
"I'm still shocked you ate those."
"I was craving them."
"But you HATE Brussel Sprouts."
"WHO DOESN'T?!"
"Ruby, I'm getting worried. Maybe you should go see a doctor."
"Oh, come on, Weiss. It's just food poisoning. I'll be right as rain. I just need a quick snack," Ruby said as she got up.
"Alright. Would you like some cookies?"
"No thanks. I'll just have some of those baby carrots you had Klein buy." Weiss's jaw dropped. "Hm? What's wrong, Snow Angel?"
"WE'RE GOING TO THE HOSPITAL," Weiss yelled as she dragged Ruby away.
"What?! Weiss, what's wrong?!"
Silber was sipping tea, looking out the window in one of the manor's study halls when she heard her mothers coming. She looked to see Weiss dragging Ruby. "Morning, mother. Is something wrong," she said to Weiss as she sipped her tea.
"YOUR MOTHER DIDN'T WANT COOKIES!"
Silber did a spit take before coughing violently. "WE'RE GOING TO THE HOSPITAL!"
Later, Ruby was sitting in a chair in a doctor's office, blushing in embarrassment as her wife and daughter were checking her, from Weiss placing her hand on Ruby's forehead to Silber checking her pulse. When the door opened, the two practically warped at the door, surprising the doctor. "WHAT'S WRONG WITH MY WIFE/MOTHER?!"
"Could you two calm down," Ruby asked sheepishly.
"NOT UNTIL WE KNOW WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU," the two shot at her, making Ruby jump. "WHAT IS SHE SICK WITH?!"
"Well, it's not exactly a sickness. It's natural, really."
"How is my mother craving vegetables natural?!"
"Vegetables? Oh, that is unique. It's honestly for the best."
"BEST," Weiss yelled. "HOW IS THIS FOR THE BEST?!"
"Of course. It's best she eats healthily for the sake of the child."
The room went silent, color leaving in completely.
"F-For the what," Ruby went.
"The child. You're pregnant, Mrs. Schnee."
Ruby lost all color. "I-I'm what?"
Ruby then looked down, everything clearing up for her. "I... never got my period this month. I usually get it around last week. I've been craving healthy stuff. I vomited my entire stomach out this morning. . . I'M PREGNANT?!"
"B-But how," Weiss went.
"You don't know," the doctor asked. "I assumed performed artificial insemination."
"N-No. My birth mother was the only one to have ever even stepped foot into a Sperm Bank. My other mother-"
"Ruby... did you cheat on me?"
"N-NO! Of course not!"
"THEN HOW ARE YOU PREGNANT?!"
"I DON'T KNOW! I HAVEN'T EVEN HAD SEX WITH ANYONE SINCE-" Ruby's eyes widened. "Oh, crap."
"What," Weiss growled.
Ruby looked up. "Last month."
Weiss raised an eyebrow before her eyes widened in realization. "No."
"It has to be him."
"No. No, no, no! AGAIN!? HIM?!"
"What," Silber went in confusion.
Ruby sighed. "Silber? Could you... call your Uncle Jaune?"
". . . Oooooh."
Later.
'RUBY'S WHAT,' Jaune went over Silber's scroll.
"You heard me, uncle," Silber said. "And she's positive you're the father."
'Of course, he is. She was dumb enough to get involved with me and Jaune on the first of December,' Nimueh went in annoyance over the scroll.
'Wait, does that mean... I'M NOT THE YOUNGEST ANYMORE,' Argent cheered.
'Not now, Arie,' Jaune and Nimueh went in unison.
Jaune sighing was heard over the scroll. 'Look, we'll work things out when we get to New Mantle, but it's going to take a while.'
'We're kinda on a mission,' Argent said.
"WHAT?! ARIE, YOU'RE NOT EVEN ELEVEN YET," Ruby yelled.
'We're not on a mission,' Jaune yelled. 'Argent just tagged along on a job I took. He's SUPPOSED to be in the hotel room,' Jaune growled.
'Shishishi.'
'Shishishi, nothing,' Jaune went. 'Anyway, we'll be there in a few weeks, tops.'
"Oh, great. So you can be here when we find out what YOU put in MY wife this time," Weiss growled.
'Alright, alright, I messed up. I get it. I'll make things right.'
"You'd better," Weiss growled.
Jaune sighed. 'And this is probably as good as it's going to get.'
Meanwhile.
"And exactly HOW is this even biologically possible? I'm nearly fifty."
"I don't know what to tell ya, Bandit Queen," a shady-looking doctor with a scar on his cheek and wearing an eyepatch said as he scratched the back of his head. "But the results speak for themselves," he said as he turned his clipboard towards Raven, the beauty sitting down with Sparrow standing next to her. "And you know how thorough I am. I made you take that sucker three times in three different ways, and they all say the same thing. Ya got a bun in the oven. Yer preggers, boss lady."
Raven's eyebrow twitched. "You've got to be kidding me."
Sparrow sighed. "Does this mean I have to be a responsible older brother now?"
"What do you think," Raven asked as she raised an eyebrow at her son.
Sparrow sighed. "I think I'm going to miss being an only child."
The two were quiet for a bit.
"We can always give it to my/your dad if we need a break," they said in unison, both knowing who the obvious father was. The two then fist-bumped, glad to know they were both on the same page.
As Jaune predicted, it took him, Argent, and Nimueh nearly three weeks to reach New Mantle. When they arrived, it was time for Ruby's ultrasound to see the gender of the child. The Arcs and the Schnees-
"Schnee-ROSE!"
"You okay, Ruby," Jaune asked.
"It's nothing."
*ahem* The families were waiting for the results, everyone perking up when the doctor came in. The doctor looked up, gulped, and bowed before Jaune.
"Why," he asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Sorry, Your Majesty."
"Again, why?"
"Well, dad, in her defense, you are the Grimm King." Jaune sighed.
"Um, about the gender," the doctor went, getting everyone's attention. "They're twins."
The room was quiet.
"Come again," they all went in unison.
"One boy and one girl. That is what is developing inside of Mrs. Schnee."
"It's Schnee... There are two inside of me." Ruby then stood up and turned towards Jaune. She then began to throttle him. "YOU PUT TWO IN ME?!"
"Not my intention! Not my intention!"
"I STILL REMEMBER PUSHING ARIE OUT, AND THAT WAS TORTURE! NOW YOU EXPECT ME TO PUSH OUT TWO?! WHAT, DO YOU THINK THIS IS EASY, ARC?!"
"So I'm going to have a little brother AND a little sister. . . Neat," Argent went with a smile.
"Not so neat," Jaune said as he took Ruby's hands off his neck.
"HEY! NO STOPPING ME FROM STRANGLING YOU!"
"Why isn't it neat, dad?"
"Honestly, I'm a bit nervous. Raising you, even with Nimueh and everyone else's help, was seriously hard. I'm proud of how you turned out, but I'm not sure if I can be that good of a dad to my daughter. My son, I'm a bit more confident, but my little girl? Can I really raise her properly?"
"Hey."
"Hm? Geh."
Ruby had a scary look in her eyes. "What makes you think you're going to raise MY kids?"
"Huh? Why wouldn't I raise them? I need to take responsibility for them, don't I?"
"Well, yeah, but what makes you think I DON'T want to raise them?"
"Wouldn't it make sense? You didn't raise me, after all," Argent said with absolutely no maliciousness in his voice, and he certainly didn't mean to be, but it was still enough to make Ruby feel like she got shot through the body."
"You're not doing this again," Weiss yelled. "This time, WE get the kids and YOU get to be the secret! ESPECIALLY the girl!"
"Please tell me you're not pulling the sex card," Nimueh went.
"Wouldn't it be best if a girl was raised by women?"
"Uh, Aunt Weiss?" She looked at Argent. "We have my mom," he said as he gestured at Nimueh, who held up a peace sign. "Plus, Aunt Jinn. You know, the smartest being in the world? Who is a lady? Wouldn't she do a great job at raising a girl?"
"Though I don't like bringing my sister into this, Arie makes a point."
Weiss narrowed her eyes at Nimueh. "We'll discuss this later." She then grabbed Ruby's hand and led her out of the room.
Jaune sighed. "This is going to be a long pregnancy, isn't it?"
"And awkward," Nimueh said.
"But they are coming with us, right," Argent asked. "I mean, wouldn't it be messed up to split twins apart?"
"Yeah. It would," Jaune said. He then sighed. "It's gonna be hell to convince those two... but we need to do what's best for the kids. Hopefully, we can convince the Schnee-Roses... by letting the kids decide."
"Huh? What do you mean?"
"Ruby... believes you chose me. When you were born, you cried until Ruby held you, but you laughed when I held you. Ruby took that as a sign that you'd be happier with me."
"Really? That's how I ended up being an Arc?" Jaune shrugged his shoulders. "When it works, I guess," Argent went with a shrug as the Arcs left the room.
Meanwhile.
"TWINS," Raven and Sparrow went.
"Did I stutter," the doctor said as he took a swing out of his flask. "It's the Branwen Sequel in there, Bandit Queen. A boy and a girl. Hopefully, your son won't betray his tribe."
"Oh, I'll make sure of that," Raven said. "But seriously, twins?!" She then groaned. "I'm going to kill him."
Sparrow was twirling his hair around his finger, deep in thought. "I'm going to have to deal with two brats. Just great." He then looked down at his sword. "Or he could-"
"Last resort, Sparrow."
"It's just when they're crying."
"Good time to do so, but don't make it a habit."
"You really wanna raise 'em, mom?"
"Yes. I do. Sparrow, you're my damned magnum opus. You're practically my perfect successor, but it wouldn't hurt for you to have more allies to trust."
"You think those two in there can help ME run the tribe?"
"It's a thought. Besides, the tribesmen aren't getting any younger. A few new members show promise, but we can't expect runaways to appear at our gates every other full moon. We need numbers, and this is a great way to make that easier," Raven said as she rubbed her stomach.
"So what, is the Branwen Tribe going to have a nursery wing," Sparrow asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Yes, actually. And you'll be in charge," Raven said sarcastically with a roll of her eyes.
Sparrow made a face as he flipped his mother off, Raven retaliating by doing the same. The two then laughed at their antics.
"Alright, enough of this happy-family crap. You're making me sick."
"You sure it's not the moonshine," Sparrow asked.
The doctor looked at his flask. "Actually, that makes more sense." He stared at his flask before taking a big swing out of it, letting out a deep and content sigh. "That's the good shit. Alright, you thugs, get the hell out of my office. Drag your mom's nice ass back here when it's time."
"Dude."
"Hey, don't blame me for your mom being hot, despite being close to hitting the big five-o."
"I can still hurt you; you know."
"Yeah, yeah. Just come to me when it's time for delivery. I'll get your crotch goblins out just fine."
"You did a good job with Sparrow, after all," Raven said as she stood up and slashed open a portal. "We're counting on you, Stein."
"Yeah, yeah," he said as he waved his flask around. "Oh, kid, you making sure your mom's eating well?"
"Had the cooks prepare fish and salad for her, with only fruit for dessert."
"It's not bad," Raven said. "Could use some tartar sauce for the fruit, though."
"Glad you still have the appetite," Stein said. "Now, git. You're not my only customers."
Raven giggled before walking through the portal. "Later, doc," Sparrow said as he followed his mom.
When they were gone, Stein stood still for a bit. Then, he pulled a remote out of his lab coat pocket, pressed some buttons, and made a teleprompter screen appear, the screen illuminating with the image of two fetuses. He then pushed more buttons, the images changing colors until it looked like the fetuses were surrounded by... Aura.
Stein took another swing of his drink as he stared at the image. "What the fuck is going inside of you, Branwen?"
Meanwhile, at the hospital.
"Are these readings correct," a doctor asked.
"It is, Chief Medical Officer."
"But this should be impossible. They're not even born yet... and we can already measure their Aura."
"Meaning their Auras are already activated."
"If this is true, and they have this much Aura already. . . Then that means these twins. . ."
"Could grow up to be some of the most powerful beings in all of Remnant," the CMO finished.
It was the day of birth. Jaune was tapping his foot as Weiss was pacing. Nimueh was leaning against Jaune, reading a magazine, while Argent was fidgeting next to Silber. The boy winced when he heard his mother's scream.
"Was it that bad when I was born," Argent asked?
"I honestly don't know. I was barely three when you were born."
Ruby's screaming stopped, getting everyone's attention. Moments passed before a doctor came out. "Mr. Arc, you may come in." Jaune zipped past the doctor, making the poor pro spin like a top. Unfortunately, Argent was just as fast as his dad, and so was his mother, the son, and Relic zipping past the doc as well. The poor healer looked ready to puke when she finally stopped spinning.
Jaune immediately appeared in the room, seeing an exhausted-looking Ruby, panting as she was hugging two crying bundles before they settled down and began to mumble and groan. Ruby looked to see Jaune... and smiled. "Come see your children."
Jaune gulped before he walked up next to the mother of his children. He gently placed his hand on her back to help her sit up, making it easier to see the babies. Jaune began to tear up. "They're beautiful."
Ruby began to tear up as well. "Yeah. They really are."
Argent popped up on the other side of his mom's bed. "Hey, that one looks just like you, mom. And that one looks like a tiny dad."
The blonde baby yawned before opening its eyes, showing off its blue irises.
Jaune chuckled. "He really is a tiny me. Hey, little guy. I'm your dad," Jaune said as he booped the baby's nose, making it giggle.
Ruby sighed. "Looks like he already likes you."
"So it is a boy. That means the little angel that looks like you is our daughter," Jaune asked as he gently rubbed her cheek.
"Yeah. That's our little girl," Ruby said. As soon as she did say that, the baby opened her eyes to show off her silver eyes.
"Heh. Two of our kids have silver eyes. What are the odds," Jaune asked with a raised an eyebrow? "Hey there, treasure. I'm your dad," he said as he held out his finger. The baby girl reached out and grabbed his finger. She then yawned as went back to sleep, holding her father's finger close to her in comfort.
Ruby smiled... sadly. "I think she likes you, too."
Jaune was quiet for a bit. "Let's talk about this later... when you've gotten some rest and they're ready to leave this place."
"Deal."
Jaune rubbed his son's chin, making the baby laugh before looking at his sleeping daughter. "They're like the sun and the moon. He's a little ball of light and she's so calm, quiet, and serene. . . Ruby, do you mind if I name them?"
She sighed. "You named Argent, so why not. . . But... can you at least give our daughter my mom's name? Even just as a middle name."
"Luna Summer Rose Arc, huh?" Ruby looked at Jaune in surprise. "I like it. It's even better than just Luna Arc."
"Luna," Ruby went. "Luna Summer Rose Arc. . . I can live with that."
"Are you sure you don't want it to be Luna Summer Arc Rose," Jaune asked with a teasing look?
"Don't push it, hero," Ruby responded with a look of her own.
Argent popped in from under his dad's arm and booped Luna's nose. "Hey, Luna. I'm your big brother. Whoa," he went after Luna grabbed his finger. "She's fast."
"That's my girl," Jaune and Ruby said in unison.
"So, what's our son's name," Ruby asked.
"Soleil. Soleil Rose Arc."
"Sol for short," Ruby asked.
"Sol for short," Jaune answered.
Ruby smiled before she kissed her babies' foreheads, making her son giggle and her daughter fuss a bit. "Welcome to Remnant, Sol, Luna. . . My little sun and moon," she said as she hugged her babies.
Weiss finally walked through the door, seeing Ruby hug her babies. "I take it all went well?"
Ruby smiled at her wife. "I still want to strangle Jaune-"
"Good."
"Hey."
"But I'm just fine. We've even already named them."
Weiss's eyebrow twitched before she turned away. "I wanted to help name them too," she muttered.
The doctors then came in, one pushing a hospital-grade baby carriage to transport the babies to the nursery.
"Alright, Mrs. Schnee-"
"Schnee-ROSE," Ruby, Jaune, and Argent went in unison.
"We'll take the children to the nursery to care for them until you are ready to be dismissed."
"Which will take how long," Ruby asked.
"Well, you gave birth to twins, so you must be exhausted."
"BEYOND," Ruby sighed.
"So I would estimate about two to three days."
Ruby sighed. "Not complaining."
The nurses then took the babies. Sol was already beginning to fuse, not liking being taken from his parents. Luna was much worse. The moment Jaune's finger slipped out of her grasp, she began to wail, which made Soleil begin to cry as well.
"Hey, hey, hey, shh, shh, shhhh," Jaune went as he comforted his children as they were placed in the carriage. The babies immediately calmed down at the sound of Jaune's voice. "It's alright. These people won't do anything bad to you. Your dad won't let them. Just be patient and we'll be back home in no time."
The twins looked at their father before Soleil began to laugh and coo adorably, wiggling his arms around playfully. Luna just went back to sleep, as if her father's words were comfortable enough to go back to sleep. With that, they were taken to the nursery.
Argent walked up and patted his dad's arm. "Looks like our family got bigger."
"Uh-huh."
"And maybe weirder."
"Don't jinx us, Arie. Just be happy our family is as big as it's going to get... hopefully."
Meanwhile.
"Sparrow, I swear, I'm going to kill your father," Raven panted as she wiped some sweat off her forehead.
"Hey, at least you were able to deliver my siblings," Sparrow said as he was rubbing his siblings' heads before just stopping and letting them tug at his fingers.
Raven sighed. "At least the easy part is over."
"Easy part? You were screaming louder than I've ever heard before," Sparrow commented. "How could this become harder?"
"You'll find out when you help me raise these two."
"Oh... goody." Sparrow sighed, accepting the fate his mother chose for him.
"Oh, well. Time to make this worth something," Sparrow said to his mom, honestly curious about what life as an older brother would be like. Soon enough, he'll realize it's easier to be a bandit than a brother.
But that is a story for another time.
Omake:
"Wait, you named your son Soleil," Sun asked.
"Sol for short. Why?"
"Doesn't Sol mean Sun?"
"Yeah? Why? . . . Oh, crap."
Sun zipped past Jaune and lifted a now laughing Sol high into the air. "Hey, Sol! I'm your god-pop!"
"SINCE WHEN WERE YOU HIS GODFATHER?!"
"Since you named him Sun."
"IT'S SOL!"
"Oh, come on! He likes it! He's laughing!"
"Sol is a happy-go-lucky kid. He's always laughing."
"Then I'm perfect to be his goddad."
"LIKE HELL," Yang yells as she dropkicks Sun and catches the laughing Sol. "THIS KID IS 100% XIAO LONG, SO I'M GODMAMA!" Jaune was about to say something. "Don't. Even. Think. About. It," she said as she pointed her gauntlet at Jaune. "You got my little sister pregnant. TWICE. You owe me." Jaune just sighed.
"HANDS OFF THE MINI-SUN!" Yang was then tackled by Sun, the laughing baby flying through the air before landing safely in his father's arm, still laughing adorably as his aunt and "uncle" were fighting and arguing.
Jaune sighed before he placed his son next to his daughter, who was sucking on her finger while holding her deer plushie. "You two were brought into one crazy family," Jaune said as he gave Sol his toy lyre, which the baby began to happily strum.
A crash was then heard. "HEY! YOU IDIOTS ARE PAYING FOR THAT," Jaune yelled as he ran towards the commotion.
A/N: Ah. Nothing like a wholesome special chapter to sooth the soul.
Oh, and here's a fun fact. . . The Rose-Arc twins are based on Apollo and Artemis, which is why their names are literally Sun and Moon. Though, I'm willing to bet more of you eagle-eyed mythology buffs saw that already. Might also be obvious what their future weapons will be. Hint: Ruby will be a bit disappointed but also kinda proud at their choice of weapons. And if you think their weapons are obvious, just think of what their powers would be. These kids are gonna grow up to be powerful. Granted, most of their family are powerhouses, but that's besides the point. (I mean, seriously, Sword Mom is literally a goddess. They're gonna be raised as powerhouses).
About Raven's twins, their names would have been Ard (the boy, which means Earth) and Sama (the girl, which means Sky). Both names come from the Arabic language since these twins are based on the Egyptian god twins Nut and Geb. Geb is the Egyptian God of Earth while Nut is the Egyptian Goddess of the Sky. As you can guess, these two will grow up to be extremely powerful (like the rest of their family). And unlike Raven and Qrow, they're actually extremely close, never once thinking of betraying or leaving the other, mostly due to genuine familial love and how Raven raised them. And yes, they greatly love and respect their older brother. Makes sense, since he practically raised them as well with Qamar's help. And with Raven's teachings (and the fact that Raven has also literally thrown them to him when they were kids), they also love their father, even though they do clash with him when it comes to ideals.
Do you like these four new kids? Do you wanna see more of them? Better yet, do you wanna use them in your own stories? Help yourselves. I don't mind. I like for my work to spread. Just look at Goku's True Heir, now known as Dragon Ball GTH on DeviantArt.
Anyway, we'll be back to canon next week. Look forward to it. Let's see how many of you guys are gamers, 'cause the next boss is a reference to one of my favorite enemies. It will be obvious to some, not so much to others.
Until then!
