UltimateReader123-

First I would like to say that, for the most part, I really like your Oc's from this story, they are excellent for each role that you put for them in the narrative. I'm neutral towards some of them tough, like Quamar. I feel that she is there just to be Sparrow's girlfriend and nothing more, I just don't care about her and feel that she is unnecessary in this fic, but that is just me (I hope that she growns on me).

Now, regarding favorite character, it's Sparrow by far. I got to say, you made a really cool character here, I really want to see more of him and more interactions between the rest of the cast. Hell, I would even like a story focusing on him, that is how much I like this character, seriously props to you author for creating such a badass, can't wait for the next chapter.

Also, Sword Mom is a trash tier character, the worst Oc in this fic, -1000000000000000000000/0.

Not gonna lie, I don't blame you for feeling neutral toward Quamar. Unlike Sparrow, I didn't really flesh her out. Blame my bias nature. Hopefully, you'll like her in this two-parter. Yeah, two-parter.

A spin-off on Raven's son? Never thought anyone would say that. Raven Branwen, one of the most misunderstood characters in RWBY, raised her biological son to be more liked than her. Irony.

Wow. Didn't think Nimueh would be so disliked. My only reasoning for that is... well, admittedly... she's a bit of a bitch. I can't deny that. She's too much of a sitcom mom. Ironic, since I wrote Jaune to be the exact opposite of most cartoon dads, yet even I have to admit that Nim is a bit too much like Nicole Watterson. Actually, I kinda like Nicole, but hate her taste in men. Lois from Maclomn in the Middle is a great example of TV moms I hate. Yeah, I get it, lady, your kids are hellraisers, but you're just as bad as they are, if not worse. Then there's Lois Griffin from Family Guy. Why do people like that woman? I really am ashamed that I'm putting Nimueh in the same category as those moms. I have no excuse. Yurushite.

Guest-

YOOOO! IT'S SPARROW TIME! WOOOOOO! XD I love Sparrow. He's cool

SilentKnightFan, is that you? Are you cheating on Neo and Anita? Oh, my, what would the Vanilles think of this? :3

knightmare of the abyss-

Just wondering something, Does Jaune have the abilities to gain strength from negative emotions? And if he does, can he lose control? Like when he fight the god of darkness, there so much negative emotions in the air that he become strong enough to match him.

If the answer yeah, can you do one scene where he vomit Grimm pool from his mouth after he lose control. Like the negative emotions become that dark liquid.

I don't mind giving out spoilers every once in a while, but this is one of the big ones. Too big of a spoiler to reveal. Sorry, dude. You're gonna have to wait for answers like this. Hopefully, a satisfactory answer will be revealed in the Atlantica Arc. Just be patient, my friend.

Anyway, onto the story.

One of the pirates stuck their head above water, looking around before signaling. He and his crew then went onto the shore.

"Look around. Careful, lads. This is Branwen territory. Don't know if the witch is nearby or her spawn."

"Aye," the pirates went before looking around.

One went close to some tall grass, about to check it. Then, he heard a fox's whine coming from the grass.

"Tch. Just a fox. Well, it will make for good meat," he said as he walked into the grass. He then held up his sword and swung down.

But then, a hand shot out and grabbed his wrist. "Yo. Like my fox call," Sparrow asked before dragging the guy into the grass and letting Quamar stab him as Sparrow covered his mouth.

Another pirate walked into the nearby forest. He walked around until he heard the sound of an eagle calling. The pirate didn't hesitate to take out his pistol and shoot in the direction. He chuckled when he heard a thump.

"You shoot at every bird you hear," Raptor asked behind the pirate. Before the pirate could react, Raptor covered his mouth and used his talons to slit the pirate's throat before jumping into the trees, right before another pirate walked by to find out what was shot.

The pirate walked around until he saw something on the ground. He picked it up and saw it was a pure white feather.

Then, the man's vision became blurry. He was feeling sleepy as he stumbled.

"Shh. Be at peace. Let yourself fall into the peaceful embrace," Dove said softly behind the now relaxing pirate. "Of death," she said softly as she stuck a needle into the man's neck, the pirate closing his eyes, looking like he was sleeping... even though he was now dead.

The pirates walked around, the remaining ones in each other's line of sight. It was why they were able to see the last of their own fall, the man yelling out in shock and surprise.

"Oi," a pirate yelled as he ran to his crewmate.

"QUICKSAND," the man screamed. "HELP ME!"

"CALM DOWN, MATE! THE MORE YOU STRUGGLE, THE MORE YOU-" a pirate began to explain before he stepped on something. It exploded with enough force to send him flying.

Oceanus, in his captain's quarters, looked up from his charts and smirked. "Sparrow."

The pirate fell onto a pile of sharpened debris. To anyone else, it would have looked like an unfortunate circumstance, but if Oceanus was on the shore with the scouting party, he could have recognized Sparrow's handiwork.

The Scouting Party wasn't as intelligent as their captain, though.

"OH, GODS," the pirate went. "GET ME OUT OF THIS! GET ME OUT, NOW!"

"CALM DOWN, YOU IDIOT!" ARE YOU TRYING TO ATTRACT A-" He then heard the rushing of sand and looked behind him. When he saw a linear mound of sand, he went blue in the face. "Oh, shit."

Sparrow smirked, now hidden in the trees with his team. "Right on time."

"BACK INTO THE WATER! NOW!"

"WAIT, DON'T LEAVE-" The pirate got dragged deeper until the sand was up to his chin. "WAIT! SOMETHING GRABBED ME! HELP!"

"RUN! SANDWORMS!"

"WAIT! DON'T LE-" The pirate was then yanked beneath the quicksand.

"HOW COULD YOU JUST LEAVE HIM LIKE THAT?!"

"LIKE THIS," the pirate yelled as he ran towards the water.

"YOU YELLOW BELLIED CO-" The pirate then fell onto his face. When he looked up, he screamed in pain and looked to see his leg melting away from acid. Then, he heard rushing sand. He looked to see sand circling around him. "No. No. Not like this. NOT LIKE THIS!"

Quamar looked away, nuzzling into Sparrow's shoulder while Dove used her wings to cover her eyes. Sparrow and Raptor watched in fascination, though Sparrow did make a disgusted face as they watched the pirate scream from being eaten alive.

The other pirate just kept running towards the water. He was almost in the clear. But then he made a mistake.

He looked back.

That split second of morbid curiosity was all a Sandworm needed to lunge from the wet sand, revealing itself for the first time as it roared in feral fury. Though these Sandworms were much smaller in comparison to their Vacuo counterpart, being no bigger than a forearm compared to the ship-sized ones in the desert, they were in bigger packs. As soon as the first Sandworm chomped onto the pirate's face, the man screaming in agony, the other members of the pack jumped onto him, eating him alive.

Every pirate that came to shore was now dead.

"Well, that was disturbing," Sparrow said.

"So, how are we going to deal with the Sandworms," Quamar asked.

Raptor cleared his throat. Quamar looked at him, the man raising an eyebrow.

Quamar blushed. "Oh. Right," she went in embarrassment.

Raptor then took a deep breath and used a variant of his Semblance, Bird Call, and cried like a Nevermore. That was enough to make the Sandworms disperse in terror.

Though Grimm don't attack each other, Raptor's Semblance is unique, even compared to other Semblances. His Bird Call can, like the name implies, allow him to imitate the call of any bird in Remnant, including Grimm. But it also has an added bonus on affecting certain types of Grimm. Even among the deadly creatures, there is a hierarchy, and the lowly Sandworms would never dare to impede in the territory of the mighty Nevermore. As such, Raptor can scare away certain Grimm with the cry of a Nevermore.

When it was safe, the team walked onto the shore of the beach, looking around at the carnage they had wrought.

"Sandworms. They work fast," Raptor said as he looked at the skeleton of the pirate.

"But we won't be able to use that trick again," Sparrow said as he looked out to sea, looking at the distant Soaring Mistrilian.

Dove walked up to him. "He's going to know you're after him. You know that, don't you?"

"Of course, I do. Knowing him, he probably already has measures ready for us on that ship of his. Or rather, measures for me."

"No. He'll be ready for all of us," Raptor said. "All four of us were there when you killed him. I certainly don't have a lot of fans on that ship."

"So basically, we're headed into a trap," Quamar said.

"Oh, absolutely," Sparrow said with a smirk. "You have it, Quamar?"

She then took out what looked like a detonator. "Never leave the camp without it. Should I use the beacon now?"

"Nope. Remember, dragging my mom into my mess is an absolute last resort. The four of us will be enough to handle this. We did it last time, didn't we?"

"Sparrow. . . There were FIVE of us last time," Raptor said, sullying the mood.

Sparrow sighed. "Yeah. There were. But we're stronger now than we were back then, and we won't lose anyone this time."

Raptor smirked. "Damn right."

Dove smiled. "Not on my watch. Not this time."

Quamar held Sparrow's hand. "You're not getting rid of me that easily," she said with a smile.

Sparrow nodded his head as his team looked at the ghost ship. "Let's end this."

Unbeknownst to the team, clouds were rolling in towards the ship. Storm clouds roaring thunder and bursting lightning. A sign as to what was to come to the young team of bandits.

A pirate was in the Crow's Nest, keeping a lookout when he heard something. He looked up to see Sparrow's portal before a boot slammed into his face. Unfortunately for the pirate, it was enough force to snap his neck, killing him.

"Whoops. Aw, whatever. Better dead and out of the way than risk him waking up and alerting the ship," Sparrow said.

"I thought Oceanus already knew we were here," Quamar said.

"He does. The rest of his crew, not so much. He's probably got something set up for us that his crew either doesn't know about, set up without realizing it, or both. These idiots will do whatever he says without question." Sparrow then reached towards the communicator in his ear. "You two alright," he asked.

"We're fine, Sparrow," Dove answered as she flew above the ship, carrying Raptor.

"Speak for yourself. I hate it when he tells you to do this," Raptor groaned.

"Oh, suck it up. You got talons, I got wings. We all can't win the Faunus Lottery, you know." She then flew around the ship, looking for something. "There. Sparrow, I found a spot for Raptor to infiltrate."

'Any homeowners he needs to worry about?'

"None that I can see," Raptor answered. "It's towards the rudder of the ship. Looks just below the Captain's Chambers. Must not have a lot of expensive or valuable crap in that area."

'If I remember correctly, that's their prison cells.'

"Oh, goody. A Bandit breaking into a prison cell," Raptor deadpanned. "I'll try to find any Dust they might have stashed away. Hopefully, they'll have enough explosive crap for me to blow the ship sky high."

'Good luck, Raptor.'

Raptor chuckled. "Like I need luck. Try not to get caught, boss. Dove?"

His partner then began to spin him around before launching him towards the hole.

Raptor slammed through the soggy wood. When he looked up, he saw a guard. He didn't hesitate to slam the pirate against the wall and plunged his talons into his gut, killing him. Raptor then saw the guard's keys. "That'll be useful," he said as he took them. He then prepared to leave when he noticed something.

He looked behind him. "The cells are empty."

'What,' Sparrow asked.

"The cells. The Soaring Mistrilian has no prisoners."

'That can't be right. Oceanus made a living kidnapping people and selling them off as slaves. Any sign they were last used?'

"No. None," Raptor said as he looked around. "Not even a sign the doors were touched. They're even moldier than the last time we were here." Raptor then left the jail area and was about to sneak his way around until he saw a piece of paper on a nearby desk. He couldn't help but look at it.

"Sparrow, I found a news article... about your dad."

'And? When is my father NOT in the newspaper?'

"It's a cutout article. These guys might be planning to go after your old man."

'No surprise. He is the Vale Knight. If anyone can get in Oceanus's way beside me, it's him.'

"I guess," Raptor said as he put the paper down.

At that moment, a looming shadow was behind Raptor, lifting something huge over its shoulder. It swung whatever it was.

Raptor easily ducked beneath the swing and plunged his talons up into the assailant's stomach. "Don't underestimate a Faunus's instincts," Raptor said with a bored expression.

He then tried to take out his talons, only to feel they were stuck. "What?"

He then heard a low growling and looked up. Finally letting his natural night vision adjust to the dark room, his eyes widened at what he just stabbed. " A Greater Thulhu?! Here?!"

The Grimm grabbed Raptor by the head and threw him through a wall, the young bandit jumping to his feet as he looked up at the hulking Grimm tearing through the hole. "Well, this just got more interesting," he said as he took his fighting stance, talons ready to tear the Grimm to shreds.

Sparrow was taping his earpiece before he sucked his teeth. "Can't get a hold on Raptor. Something must have happened."

"Should we help him," Quamar asked.

"No need. That guy's always been able to handle himself. Let's just deal with our part of the job. Got the poison?" Quamar held up a bag. "Off to the mess hall."

Sparrow slashed open a portal that opened behind a crate next to a door leading to the lower decks. Sparrow took one of Quamar's knives and used the reflection to look around, seeing that the crew was too busy maintaining the ship. Sparrow noticed that the number of crewmen on deck was an easy number for him to take out blindfolded, which honestly confused him. Still, he wasn't one for taking chances. The last time he took on a group he thought he could take in enemy territory, the entire camp was on him. Not making the same mistake twice.

When he saw the coast was clear, he gave Quamar her knife back and quietly opened the door and snuck in, Quamar right behind him as she quietly shut the door.

The two were walking down the stairs, both feeling uneasy with each step.

"Sparrow, this is way too easy."

"You noticed, too, eh? We practically played leapfrog dealing with the pirates down the stairway last time. Where is everyone?"

The two then reached the mess hall. They were shocked.

"Not even one passed out drunk," Sparrow asked.

"Impossible. There were plenty of drunks last time." She looked around and saw a keg. She walked up and knocked on it. "It's... over half full."

"Is it water?"

Quamar gently opened the lid and sniffed. "No. It's rum." She then dipped a finger in and licked it. "Good quality stuff, too. Even your mother would approve."

That shocked Sparrow. "Rum THAT good on a pirate ship, and it's over half full? What is going on around here?"

Sparrow then heard a scurrying sound. He looked up and backflipped in time to avoid being skewered. Quamar looked towards the sound of stabbing wood, saw the red stingers, and shot upward. "SHIT," she went to herself, cursing at her reaction of firing a loud gun.

Sparrow didn't seem to mind. What he did mind was that his fiancé just shot what he didn't expect to see. "A Black Plague?!"

The Black Plagues were rat-like Grimm about the size of a bobcat. They are among the deadliest species of Grimm due to their poisonous bite. Just one chomp from these monsters will shatter your Aura if it is too low or weak, the poison destroying your body from the inside out in a matter of hours. They are considered the deadliest type of Swarm-Type Grimm because of this. They live in infamy for causing one of the deadliest pandemics centuries ago in Sanus, not too far from the kingdom of Vale when it was still a monarchy. The only good thing about these monsters is that they are among the rarest breed of Grimm. So much so that even Salem herself was never able to use them.

As the two watched the rodent Grimm fade away, more scurrying was heard. The two looked around to see a swarm of Black Plague running around them, the creatures hissing at them. One even spat its poisonous bile at Quamar, but Sparrow froze it with an Ice Blade before pointing at the now Swarming Plague.

"You ready, partner," Sparrow asked as he was now back-to-back with Quamar.

She took out her other knife and spun both of them with expertise before taking her stance. "You know I am."

A horde of Grimm Rats about as big as bobcats that can spit poison, have infectious bites that deteriorate your Aura, and have tails as sharp as whips in a confined space like a mess hall? Sounds like a fair fight to the duo.

Quamar shot several Black Plagues before stabbing one that tried to bite her from behind. Then, a tail wrapped around her wrist, but it was quickly sliced off by Sparrow.

The partners were back-to-back, keeping the other safe from the rats. Sparrow had switched to a Lightning Blade, letting the electricity course through the hordes of rats, but it still wasn't enough.

"Running low on ammo, Sparrow," Quamar warned.

"And I'm running low on patience," he growled as he sheathed his sword.

He then twisted the hilt into his Revelation, and clicking is heard. He then moved the hilt onto the side of his sheath before holding the weapon forward, showing that his sheath had five barrels on the bottom of it. Sparrow then pulled the trigger for the Lightning Blades, the Gatling Gun that was his sheath spitting out shards of one of his blades at the beasts.

"GET DOWN," he roared as his gun was firing, Quamar following his order as Sparrow shot around. Electricity jumped from rat to rat, killing multiple Grimm, even if the shard bullets missed. After what seemed to be less than a minute, Sparrow stopped firing, the mess hall too clouded with Grimm Dust to continue firing. He looked around for any stragglers.

A Black Plague then lunged towards his nape, only to be shot out of the air by Quamar. After a bit of time, the hall cleared up, showing no signs of Grimm.

"Well, no way the crew didn't hear that," Quamar said as she checked her ammunition. "Damn. Won't be able to shoot my way out with this amount."

"We'll just take some from the Soaring Mistrilian's armory," Sparrow said as he checked his own ammo. "Only had to use up three of my five Lightning blades. Not bad."

"Still, how is it possible for Grimm to be on this ship, let alone a Black Plague Swarm."

"ESPECIALLY a Black Plague Swarm. No one on Oceanus's crew has Aura. This ship should have been destroyed, especially with a swarm that large. What's more, why hasn't any crewmen shown up to attack us yet?"

"They had more than enough time to send at least a few lackeys. I don't like it. Something's wrong with this ship. We're leaving. We'll deal with it after we get something to blow this ship sky high. Tinker should be able to make a bomb potent enough," Sparrow said as he reached for his earpiece. "Raptor. . . Raptor, come in. . . Damn."

"Raptor not answering? That's never a good sign."

"Hold on. Dove, do you read me?"

'Loud and clear.'

"I tried reaching Raptor-"

'You, too?'

"Too?"

'I can't reach him. Something's wrong with the crew. They're mostly... standing around. Drinking, eating, gambling; everything but caring for the ship or going inside.'

"Where are you?"

'Within a nearby cloud. Felt too risky to stay in the crow's nest, especially with my wings. Still, something's wro- WHOA!'

"Dove? Dove! What's going on!?"

'I'm being attacked by Skyrats!'

"Skyrats? The seagull Grimm? How did they find you?!"

'I don't know! I was hiding in a cloud perfectly, and I wasn't nearly depressed or worried enough to attract them! It's like they knew I was hiding here!'

"What the hell is going on?"

'Sparrow, I can't fight and talk at the same time!'

"Just handle the Skyrats and return to shore! Get back to base and have Tinker make a bomb. Something's wrong with this ship."

'On it.' The call then ended.

"Think Dove has enough needles?"

"She's never run out before. She never misses, anyway. Plus, she has her Olive Branch. If the needles don't get them, that whip of hers will. Still, that doesn't matter. Oceanus has something planned on this ship, and I'm pretty sure it's tailor-made for us. Let's find Raptor and get off this rowboat."

"A rowboat, is it-a?" Sparrow's eyes widened at the voice behind him. "You shouldn't insult another man's ship, Sparrow."

Quamar didn't hesitate to swing her knife at the voice. She was shocked to see it be caught easily... by a crab claw.

"Ah, the young lady Quamar. You have blossomed, my dear." Oceanus then blocked Sparrow's swing before planting his pegleg in Sparrow's gut and pulling the trigger on his leg, sending Sparrow crashing through tables and slamming into the wall.

"Sparrow," Quamar yelled out.

"You should worry more for yourself, girl." Oceanus then snapped Quamar's knife before grabbing her throat. He then slammed her onto the floor with so much force, she broke through it and slammed hard onto a crate.

She groaned as she got up, seeing she fell onto a crate full of bullets. "That's helpful. Hm?" She heard rumbling and looked towards a wall. The rumbling grew louder as she loaded her knives, including the broken one. Then, something large burst through the wall and slammed into her, Quamar skidding back as she held whatever hit her. She was surprised to see what she caught.

"Raptor?!"

He groaned as he looked up. "Tch. Thing's hard to take down."

Quamar followed his gaze, not being able to see in the dark area. She took a chance and shot in the direction, her bullet igniting a lamp. She then saw what Raptor was fighting in all of its hideous glory.

"Please tell me that's not a Great Thulhu," she deadpanned.

"It is and it's mine to kill," Raptor said as he got out of Quamar's grasp, cracking his knuckles and popping his neck. "You deal with his friends."

"Friends?" Quamar looked around and thought she saw something move in the darkness. She shot in its direction, only for the bullet to ignite another lamp, showing another Thulhu.

"The room is full of them, isn't it?"

"Yup."

"Oh, goody," she said with a roll of her eyes as she prepared to fight the fishmen.

Sparrow yanked himself out of the wall as he glared at Oceanus.

The Faunus chuckled. "It has been far too long, Sparrow Branwen-a."

"Not long enough, David. The claw's new."

Oceanus held up the black appendage, chuckling as he continuously snapped it. "It is far from the only thing that has changed, boy."

Sparrow grasped his sword, pulling the trigger for Fire, his sheath whirling in preparation for the battle before him.

"Show me, old man."

Sparrow took an Iai stance, looking for an opening in Oceanus. The pirate chuckled as he drew his sword, snapping his claw. Sparrow didn't see an opening, so he just threw caution to the wind. He rushed at Oceanus with great speed, looking like a blur as he drew his sword to slash at Oceanus.

The pirate caught Sparrow's blade with his claw, preparing to swing his sword down onto Sparrow.

Sparrow pulled a trigger on his hilt, detaching the blade and side-stepping perfectly to avoid the slash before slamming his hilt into the detached blade and jumping away. Oceanus looked to see he was holding a red blade before it blew up in his face.

Sparrow peaked from behind the table he jumped behind and got up. "Huh. . . That was... literally too easy. . ." He then shot into the smoke with one sword's worth of ammo. "Mm. No. No way was it that easy."

"Aren't you clever, boy."

Sparrow tried to use his sheath as a club, swinging behind him, only to hit air, just a wall in front of him. "What?"

He then gagged after a claw shot out and grabbed his throat. Oceanus then chuckled as he walked out of the wall.

"W-What the hell," Sparrow choked out. "You don't have a Semblance. You didn't even have your Aura unlocked last we fought."

"As I said, boy, many things have changed since we fought," Oceanus said as he prepared to stab Sparrow.

Sparrow then grabbed his hilt, raised a Lightning Blade just a bit out of the sheath, and purposely broke it off. He then stabbed the makeshift knife into the claw, electrocuting Oceanus enough to make the Faunus release Sparrow out of surprise. Sparrow then used his Semblance, cutting a portal next to him, and jumped into it.

Sparrow then landed on the deck of the ship, thinking it would be easier to fight the old pirate in a more open space. He then looked up to see the pirate crew looking at him, dumbfounded. "Okay, this is one of my dumber decisions," Sparrow said.

"IT'S BRANWEN," a pirate said as he rushed at Sparrow with a raised sword.

Sparrow immediately slashed the pirate before using him as a springboard to get to the stairs, pirates already chasing after him. When up the stairs, he turned back to fight off some pirates, some of them dumb enough to try and squeeze past the other, only for Sparrow to stab them.

When the smarter ones ran up the other staircase, Sparrow turned to run higher before grabbing a rope. He grabbed it and cut the rope, swinging over the slashing and shooting pirates. He was about to jump off when his rope was cut. He flipped and landed with a safe skid, looking up to see Oceanus snapping his claw, standing over the spot where the rope was tied. "How did he-?"

Sparrow heard a gun's barrel clicking and looked in time to move his head, avoiding a headshot that would have done a lot of damage to his Aura. He lunged at the pirate, kicking him to the ground, punched him in the face, then swung him around. He may not have super strength like his father or little brother, but he was still strong enough to swing someone no bigger than him around like a bat. When he was done with the pirate, he threw him into a group of pirates.

He was then tackled from behind, a burly pirate squeezing him from behind. He tried to struggle, but the pirate just tightened his hold, making it hard for Sparrow to breathe. He then looked up to see pirates with bludgeons walk up, the men chuckling in anticipation.

"Not happening," Sparrow said. He then raised his leg as high as he could and slammed his heel into the crotch of his capture. The pirate squealed in pain as he released Sparrow to grab onto what was left of his jewels, Sparrow roundhousing the burly man the moment he landed on his feet, planting his shin right into the man's temple and sending him crashing into some barrels full of Dust.

Sparrow heard more squealing, looking towards the three approaching pirates to see them buckling over in sympathetic pain. He then pulled the trigger for Lightning Dust, and performed an Iai slash, sending a wave of electricity in their way, electrocuting all three of the pirates.

"He's even more ruthless than before," Oceanus said as he walked past one of his crewmen.

"Cap'n, he's even deadlier and stronger than before. Orders, sir," his Shark Faunus first mate asked.

Oceanus chuckled. "Prepare the Call."

The first mate chuckled. "Yes, Cap'n."

Sparrow had just slashed a pirate with an Ice Blade, turning him into a useful shield to hide behind before turning three more into ice blocks to make into a wall. He used this opportunity to catch his breath and looked around to see if he could use anything. That's when he finally got a look at the Dust Barrel's contents. "Silver Dust?"

"Aye, lad. That is the type of Dust it is-a."

Sparrow glared towards the voice, seeing Oceanus through the ice, the man smirking. "What's your game, David? A man like you shouldn't need that much Silver Dust. Your enemies are human, not Grimm. Unless you plan on hunting some kind of Disaster-Level Grimm on an island for your new hideout, there's no reason for you to have Silver Dust."

Oceanus laughed softly. "A Disaster-Level Grimm. Well, he is quite strong."

"He?"

"Haven't you figured it out yet, boy? That Dust... is meant to kill the Grimm King, Jaune Arc-a."

Sparrow's eyes widened, the boy shaking his head as he faked a smirk. "You think you can take on the Hero of Remnant? My own tribe has been having trouble against him. What makes you think you can beat him?"

"Well, with that Dust, of course. And a few other tricks."

"Heh, good luck. That man is strong. I should know. I fought him."

"Did you, now? How sweet."

Sparrow raised an eyebrow. "Sweet?"

"You know, boy, you are far calmer about me hunting Jaune than I thought-a."

"And why wouldn't I be? I'm a bandit, he's a Huntsman. If you were anyone else, I'd help you take him down," he lied.

Oceanus laughed. "Oh, I highly doubt that. After all-a, would you truly help someone who wishes to calm the life of your father?"

Sparrow's eyes widened. "Wha- What are you TALKING about?!"

Oceanus then chuckled, his crew following his lead. "No need to play the fool, boy. I know who you are. I know whose blood flows through your veins. I now know your lineage, Son of the Grimm King." Sparrow tightened his grip. "I was quite surprised to learn who your father was. But it does explain quite a bit, my young foe."

"How the hell would you even know?!"

"I was told."

Sparrow scoffed. "Yeah, right. By who?!"

"By God."

"Huh?"

"And that was not all He did," Oceanus said as he snapped his claw. "He gave me power. Power to exact my revenge-a. Power to rule the very seas of Remnant. And power... to bring death."

"What are you on about, old man," Sparrow called.

Oceanus chuckled as he turned towards his men pushing a massive wheel, a mechanism raising. "Let no joyful voice be heard! Let no man look into the sky with hope! Let this day forever be cursed by we who ready to wake... The Kraken!" The mechanism then slammed, making the entire ship quake enough for Sparrow to stumble a bit.

He looked towards the smirking Oceanus before looking down at the floorboards. 'What did he just do,' he thought.

Sparrow looked towards Oceanus, wondering which blade would be best to use against the Faunus and his crew when he got confused. Oceanus began to walk away.

Before Sparrow could wonder why his foot dropped. He looked down to see that it fell through... rotting floorboards. He then watched as the wood around him began to rot as if it were aging. He yanked his foot out to see that the Soaring Mistrilian looked different. It looked... abandoned.

"This is my final gift to you!"

Sparrow looked towards Oceanus's voice, his eyes widening when he saw the Faunus and his crew on the Soaring Mistrilian. "How?"

"Enjoy the ship, Branwen! Or would it be more appropriate to call you Arc?! Either way, that ship will be your grave! Enjoy your last moments at sea, Captain Sparrow!" Oceanus laughed as he walked away, his crew laughing along with him.

Sparrow growled as he was about to draw his sword to use his Semblance, only for the ship to shake. "The hell?!"

Quamar jabbed her knife through a Thulhu's head before shooting the last one in the head. As soon as she did that, Raptor finally slashed the Great Thulhu's arm enough to rip it off before jabbing his talons through its head, finally killing it. The two were panting, exhausted from their fight before looking towards each other, smiling in victory.

Then, the ship shook. Raptor was so tired and off balance that he fell on his back, falling through the floorboard and landing with an "OW!"

"Raptor! Are you alright," Quamar called down the hole.

"I'm fine! But it's weirdly rotten down here! The wood's seriously soft! Like it's been downed for years or something!"

"What?" A creaking was heard. She looked up towards the wall to see them beginning to crack.

Sparrow also heard the cracking. He looked towards the sound, seeing it was coming from the side of the ship. He walked over and looked over the ship. "WHOA," he cried out after having to bend back to avoid a tentacle, only to have to backflip to avoid being grabbed by another.

He then performed an Iai with a Lightning Blade, slashing off the tip of a tentacle. He then had the time to look around and see that the ship was wrapped in tentacles. He then felt a presence behind him and looked to see the head of a giant octopus, black as night with a white bone mask covering its face, its red and yellow eyes staring into Sparrow's pure crimson eyes. It then roared at him, revealing its massive, teeth-covered mouth, each fang looking as sharp as Sparrow's blades. Sparrow stood in place but made sure to move in order to avoid getting any spit on him. When the beast finished roaring, Sparrow was clean, but surrounded by black mucous.

"Gross," he said as he looked at the Grimm before him. "A Kraken, one of the Three Legendary Sea Grimm. An SSS-Class threat. Just my luck," he said as he sheathed his sword.

Then, he pulled all five triggers, Revelation whirling to life. Then, he drew his Last Revelation, the sky thundering as if warning the world that Sparrow was going all out. "Bring it."

The Kraken roared again, not showing its mouth this time, but its blazing eyes showed that it accepted Sparrow's challenge.

A tentacle shot towards Sparrow, but he slashed it off, making the Kraken scream in pain and surprise as it looked at its now smoking stump. Sparrow smirked before he saw the tentacle in the corner of his eyes. It tried to lunge and grapple him, but he jumped out of the way just in time, only to be slammed through a rotten mast by a tentacle. He slammed into the wall of the captain's quarters, surprisingly not breaking through, but it was still enough damage to make his Aura spark. One more hit or some wasted use of his Semblance, and his Aura would shatter, and he knew he wouldn't be able to survive a hit from a Kraken.

He then looked up to see a tentacle rushing down towards him, the boy stuck in the wall. "Oh, crap."

The tentacle then stopped. Sparrow raised an eyebrow before he looked down at the appendage, seeing a familiar bladed whip warped around it. He looked up the Olive Branch to see Dove at the other end. "GREAT TIMING AS ALWAYS, DOVE!"

"I TRY," she yelled before she yanked her whip, slicing the tentacle off, and making the Kraken roar.

Dove then began to fly around, avoiding the fury of the tentacles. She then made a bad move and was about to be hit full force by a tentacle.

Then, Raptor lunged at the tentacle with a roar before sliding down it, tearing through with his talons before jumping back to the ship, the tentacle spewing with black blood.

Quamar grabbed Sparrow's arm and yanked him out of the wall, the two nodding to each other before looking at the massive beast. Sparrow looked around, seeing Dove whipping the Grimm as she flew around while Raptor lunged and slashed at the nearest tentacles. Sparrow then saw a high point and patted Quamar, getting her attention and showing it to her.

"You got one?"

"One of my own, and I stole some from Oceanus before the ammo just vanished."

"Make the shots count."

Quamar nodded before running to the spot.

Sparrow glared at the Kraken as he walked to the center of the ship. He then reached behind him and took something out: a second hilt. He stabbed the hilt into Revelation and prepared its Gatling Gun function. When he was right in front of the Grimm, he aimed his gun, staring into the blazing eyes of the beast.

"BANG."

Sparrow pulled all five triggers, Revelation whirling at such speeds that it was starting to heat up, being cooled only by the combination of the Ice Blade shards and the pouring rain.

The Kraken tried to retaliate with its tentacles, but they were either being held back by Dove's Olive Branch or being shredded by Raptor's talons. The ones that did get close were either slashed away by Sparrow's sword or shot away by his gun.

Then, the Kraken wrapped its tentacles around the ship, gripping it to the point it began to shatter, making Sparrow lose his balance, the teen nearly falling into the cracks of the ship. He even stabbed his sword into the ground to get a better grip. That's when everything got dark. Sparrow looked up to see the Kraken's wide-open maw, the beast roaring as it fell down to devour Sparrow.

He smirked. "Just what I was hoping for."

At the high point, Quamar had the perfect shot, aiming right into the mouth of the monster.

"No one eats my Sparrow," she said.

BANG

The Silver Bullet, followed by another Silver Bullet, flew into the mouth of the beast, rushing to the end of its throat. Both bullets exploded with a silvery light as the Kraken screamed in agony, already beginning to fade. Quamar didn't take a chance and shot off the rest of her bullets, four in total, into the mouth of the beast. When they ignited, a silvery explosion occurred.

What remained of the ship was totally destroyed, Sparrow, Quamar, and Raptor falling into the sea, while Dove remained airborne, but temporarily blinded by the light.

When her vision cleared, she saw the corpse of the Kraken, what remained of the Grimm's body already fading away as smoke billowing into the sky. She then looked towards the remains of the ship, seeing no signs of her friends.

Then, Sparrow burst out of the water with a gasp, grabbing onto some floating debris. Quamar and Raptor did the same. They looked around and were pleased to see the dead Grimm.

They had won.
