CHAPTER 4.

At first, I felt frightened, from the anger that was radiating off Sasuke, but I quickly ignored it and let it roll off my shoulders. There is no time for me to get caught up in feelings now. I was sent here on a mission, and I had no choice but to complete it. Neither of them said anything, as they stood there and just stared at each other. I could feel the tension in the air as it surrounded me, and the taste for blood was obvious. I had no idea what the plan was since Itachi did not really have the chance to go over that with me. I guess I would have to wing it and follow his lead. I allowed my eyes to fall over Sasuke and pushed back another gasp. He looked taller than last time I seen him, and his hair seemed as if it was a little bit longer. His eyes had more of a cold glaze to them than before.

"There was someone here with you before, where did they go? I sensed their Chakra." He spoke out coldly. I froze, hoping he didn't recognize that it was mine. That would throw the whole mission off before I could even start it. Itachi didn't flinch, though, as he continued to stare at him. "I guess you were sensing things." He spoke, his voice just as cold. I shivered again from his voice. I cannot figure out why I do that, when I don't do it to anyone else. "I am not stupid so do not treat me like I am. Tell the other person to come out!" He seethed out coldly. I closed my eyes for a moment, and opened them, seeing Itachi staring in my direction.

He sighed, nodding his head in my direction like he was trying to tell me something. "Come out, no point of hiding anymore." He whispered in my direction. I uncovered my Chakra, and stepped out from the behind the bush, instantly catching Sasukes attention. At first, he grinned, and then he started laughing like a Maniac, making me frown. What does he find so funny? "YOU are the Chakra that I sensed?" He said, still laughing. I lifted my eyebrows and crossed my arms over my chest. "Yeah? What of it?" I spoke out sharply. He laughed for another moment before finally getting it together and standing straight up. "Yeah, tell the other person to come out because that Chakra is way to strong to be yours." He said, going back to his cold demeanor.

I frowned at his assumption. This… man has not seen me in a couple of years, and still, stands there, and criticizes me! Oh, the nerve! I felt the anger boiling and I was not sure how to hide it this time. "Sounds to me like you barely know who I am anymore or what I have gone through these past couple of years." My voice now matched the cold side of his, making him flinch. I could guess that he did not like this version of me. I found that to be funny, but I would not let it show. "Hm." Was all that he spoke in return. I waited to see if he was going to say anything else, hoping he would not be brave enough to throw another insult my way. Of course, he always likes to… irritate people. "To me, you're still that same annoying…" He reached that word, and I did not let him finish his sentence. I threw my fist in the air, and through it down as hard as I could on the ground. I felt the earth start to shake underneath me and smiled when the earth started to shatter towards him. He jumped out of the way just in time, looking at me with a shock I have never seen on his face before. "So, you still think I'm that weak annoying girl?" I questioned coldly, with a deadly grin on my face.

At first it was silent, and he stared at me like he was waiting on something, but I couldn't figure out what. He stood up tall, staring at me like he had seen a ghost, and then recovered. "How are you standing next to Itachi and he hasn't killed you yet?" He questioned, narrowing his eyes at me. That question was not something that I had expected. I didn't know if I wanted to answer him not, or if I should be truthful. I frowned at the situation. "I guess the same way that you thought you killed him." I spoke. I guess that was the last tip because he immediately started charging at me. Itachi went to move in front of me, but I gently threw my hand up to stop him. He nodded his head and stayed where he was. I stood there and waited for Sasuke to get close to me, and only grinned at how naïve he was being, charging directly at his opponent. It seems he is still underestimating me. I threw my fist back, allowing it to collide with his stomach as he approached me, getting ready to throw his own punch. His was too late. I leaned into his ear with my fist against his stomach and smiled as I spoke. "It looks like…. You might be a little too slow!" I whispered into his ear.

He shot back from my hand, landing on his back and grasping his stomach in pain. I slowly walked up to him, pulling out a rope from my bag, and squatted down next time, staring him in the eyes. "You should be careful who you underestimate. It could be the death of you." I whispered again. He growled at me, trying to stand up, until my foot slipped on top of his arm. I smiled again, as I stomped down again, making him scream out in pain. The sound was music to my ears. "Oh, the sweet sound of your pain right now is music to my ears." I sang out, smiling down at him again. He grabbed his arm with his good one and stared at me in shock again. "What has happened to you?" He asked. Was that sorrow in his voice? It's a little late for that now. "The one who just tried to kill me asks that question? I don't think so! Now, I'm going to tie you up, and we are headed back to Konoha." I spoke. I threw the rope on top of him, and began doing my thing, making sure the rope would be secure.
