Hello everyone! And welcome to my first crossover between Sonic the Hedgehog and My Hero Academia!

This is a story i've been planning for a while now and I'm very excited to show it to you.

I wanted to stay away from the typical "Sonic is sent to the My hero academia" and stuff, so if you want a story like that, Sorry.

This time I somehow made a universe where both world coexists (In english, Sonic and the rest of mobians are part of the MHA universe, not from another one).

Without anything left to say here, Enjoy!

"and remember. It is very important that after solving an exercise of equations with roots, the results must be checked by replacing with the resp- ". It was what the math teacher managed to say before being interrupted by the school bell. One more day was over and the students, as always, were happy to finally be able to go home to do whatever they wanted. The professor smiled slightly, as if he understood and supported them, only to then smile even more and stab them in the back. "Very well class, remember that you must bring the exercises on pages 132 and 133 solved for Monday's class. Have a great weekend." With those words, he ended the day's class and began to order his things to later go to the exit of the classroom and go to his office.

Sounds of angry young people were heard throughout the room. And it wasn't a surprise, who would want to do a math homework when you could play online with friends or go on an outdoor adventure? Almost nobody. "God, how boring, I can't believe the teacher is like that, he knows us well and is kind, but he loves to see us suffer. "

"It's amazing, right? I don't know how I don't dislike him; I generally hate these types of people. What will you guys do? Solve the homework on the weekend or as soon as you get home?"

"I think I'll do it on Sunday night, I want to do something while I can, how about you The Hedgehog-kun?"

"I thought I told you several times to call me Sonic, Takedo-san" That said with a tone that implied that this had happened too many times. The blue hedgehog looked at him with a slight smile and tired eyes that did nothing more than make his partner laugh.

"Sorry, I'm used to it, I still don't understand why it bothers you so much anyway."

"Not that it bothers me, I just prefer to be called by my name, that's all." Sonic has never been a fan of formalities, and he certainly can't stand them with people who aren't necessary. Also, his last name is very long, it's awkward and unnecessary to go around pronouncing The Hedgehog-kun every time they wanted to speak to him. Saying his name was a much better idea in his opinion. However, he didn't want to get bogged down in the topic and decided to answer his question to make the conversation, albeit a bit more interesting, even if it was about homework. "Answering your question. I really don't have much to do today, taking the weight off me right away doesn't sound like a bad plan at all." He said with determination. Without a doubt, he believed that this was the best option.

From this he only managed to make his partner laugh slightly. "For you maybe, you're pretty smart so I'm not surprised you want to work out all day. Nerd" That last word followed by a somewhat forced mocking laugh.

Sonic took this as a little joke so he didn't got irritated y it, but he wasn't going to keep quiet either, he also wanted to continue with that joke. So he smiled proudly. "Hey! I'm not a nerd, I just like to get rid of back pain as soon as possible" Suddenly his attitude changed to one similar to the one of his partner, "you'll be crying to me early on Monday because you fell asleep doing your homework so late" He said with a mocking grin.

He couldn't stop laughing internally. Sonic never tried to stand out that much in his class, so he had few close class partners, Takedo being one of them. And being close enough, he knew how much he hated studying and how bad he was at it. He was curious to see what attitude his partner would take to counter the answer he gave him.

Takedo was slightly surprised and was about to return the joke to Sonic when suddenly... "Takedo-san, leave that now and let's go to the station, if what happened last time happens again I assure you that nothing nice will happen" Takahashi finally spoke , the one whom the entire class nicknames as Takedo's older brother. He always brought it back to the real world when the reins slipped.

His partner was a little disgusted. He was fed up with Takahashi always coming out with the same excuse to take away his freedom and force him to go to the station with him. He was a fairly regular friend of him. "Again with that? Takahashi-kun, how many times have I told you that last time was not my fault."

"That doesn't matter now, The Hedgehog-kun have a nice weekend, Takedo-san, let's go" You could see his lack of interest and haste in the air. Takahashi had apparently dealt with this situation for a long time and was done with it. He didn't want to waste another second, so he cut the discussion short and forced Takedo to do the same.

"How boring you are. Good weekend The He-. I mean, Sonic-kun"

Sonic showed a relieved smile followed by a sigh and a wave of his hand "Finally. Good luck to you both".

Unlike his closest classmates, as well as practically all of his class, Sonic's "home" was not far from the school, which is why he walked all the way. He didn't mind having a little time for himself after spending long and boring hours in class with 20 energetic people of his own age, he could listen to music, reflect on the day or plan what was coming. In short, what a normal boy his age would do.

But since everyone is different, Sonic stood out a lot for two things. The first was his great spirit and mentality. He always walked with a smile enjoying life, no matter how small the things that make it up. He looked very cheerful as he walked down the street, receiving annoying looks of disgust in the process. That was the second reason why he stood out so much. He was a Southern.

A species of anthropomorphic animals that began to appear about 50 years ago. The reason for its name is linked to its place of origin. The southerns were first discovered on an island east of Argentina. A very small percentage of the world's human population was Southern, about 10%. In Japan, due to how far it was from its place of origin, the southern population did not even reach 5%. These were characterized by having the motor and mental abilities of a human being, but adding distinctive features of each animal. In Sonic's case, it was a hedgehog. He was no taller than 1 meter due to the size of a normal hedgehog, which has given him the award for the shortest in his class since he entered school, and by far. However, this is not the only characteristic of Sonic, he is almost completely full by blue fur that covers everything except his arms, a portion of his face where his mouth was and part of his abdomen, that last thing known by nobody since no one has seen him without something covering it. As much as he dislikes wearing them, as well as almost all of his other clothes, he has had to adapt to the society in which he lives, where people are both directly and indirectly required to wear clothes when they go out. He was already used to it in any case, so the annoyance was minimal, if not null. He can also roll up into a ball of spikes and move around like a regular hedgehog. Over time Sonic has figured out how to use it more efficiently.

But as the saying goes "new is dangerous" not all people have gotten used to this new subspecies of human being. Some don't even mind showing how disgusted they are with them even a little bit, and worst of all, there are not a few people who support them.

Unfortunately, since its inception, the vast majority of Southern have been discriminated for being, well, southerns. So much so, that seeing a southern so happy and charismatic was too unusual, which generated a lot of confusion in people when they saw Sonic, because those looks did not matter to him and he was not going to eat his head with bad irrelevant thoughts of people that weren't able to tolerate something as normal in these times as a genetic mutation.

He continued on his way for approximately 15 minutes before coming across an appliance store where, on several televisions, the same news was broadcast simultaneously. A piece of news that caught Sonic's attention from the first second. "Local heroes in a town in northern Akita prefecture discovered a robotic probe of unknown highly advanced technology. Due to its design and features, there is speculation that this machine is a tracking drone. The causes of its malfunction are unknown to date, but the best deduction of the specialists is a failure in the motor's thermal regulator that ended up rendering the machine unusable. The organization to which this drone belongs has not been identified. However, authorities believe it has to do with this strange symbol of a man with a mustache."

Sonic seemed not to have given much importance to the matter. He continued on his way with a slightly more serious expression, but almost unnoticed, as if he was keeping an eye on his surroundings. About 10 minutes later he came to a sparsely populated street, and through an alley, entered what appeared to be his house.

"I arrived!" He said happily as he placed his bag on the chair by the front door. His house could be described as an ordinary one, a bathroom, a room where Sonic had his personal things and a large room that was both a kitchen, a dining room and a living room. Any unitary house. However, it had a peculiarity.

"Good afternoon" could be heard from below. This house had a basement, and not just any basement. It had several modern screens connected to a super computer full of accessories and other rare machines worthy of a secret espionage base or special agents. It was a slightly larger room than Sonic's, but it felt smaller due to the overload of artifacts. Down there lived Sonic's best friend and faithful sidekick. Miles Prower, whom Sonic nicknamed Tails for his rare genetic quirk which gave him two fox tails instead of one. He could be seen wearing a dark gray hoodie and a sporty pants of the same color. The only thing not gray in his clothing were his shoes, white and red, as well as his gloves and socks, both white. "How was your day? Surely you wanted to kill yourself in vocabulary classes" He said while laughing as he understood well the boring subjects of his friend.

"It wasn't too bad, I have a math homework due on Monday, but it shouldn't be that hard. After how you've taught me, pretty much every subject in school is easy." He said with a happy grin.

At first Sonic wasn't very good with homework, subjects, and school in general as an academic institution, however, thanks to Tails' help, everything has become much more fun and easier lately. Especially since Sonic feels like he's making progress on his own.

He was greeted with a smile identical to his by Tails. "What about you? I bet you haven't even taken a shower, you look like a gamer geek who plays 36 hours straight" He said with a mocking grin.

"For your information, yes, I do shower, and I don't look like one, I am well aware of my limitations and risks working this way," he said with a winning smile. "Changing the subject..." This time his face changed to a more serious tone. "Did you saw the news?"

Sonic also adopted a more serious tone. "You mean the Akita thing, right?" Tails nodded. It was not expected that he also knew what was going on, with so many screens and constantly being informed of what was happening. "Yes I know".

"Then I'll save the unnecessary information and get to the point once and for all." He didn't want to waste time. the tone of his voice was enough for him to realize that the situation they were facing was not one to be taken lightly. "I took the time to analyze the drone as best I could. An overload is not the cause of its destruction."

Sonic kept quiet while Tails told him all this. It was hardly surprising that his partner was able to discover great things from such small ones, he had already done it several times. The hedgehog gave a big sigh. "I also noticed. I'm still impressed by the level of technology the doctor employs in his machines, but it's no longer a surprise. The engine looked a bit worn, the camera lens were extremely weak, and the turbines were rusty. It is a drone that has been in operation for a long time, am I wrong?"

"Your deductive skills have also improved Sonic." Tails said with a slight astonishment in his eyes. "You are right, we have in front of us a spy drone whose useful life ran out a long time ago. Based on our experiences with the doctor, I can say that this is a rare occurrence. Eggman's machinery usually receives constant maintenance from the closest base to which he is located. Looking at this issue I can only deduce that Dr. Eggman's base in Akita is an abandoned one. I have no idea why it's abandoned, but I personally don't even care."

"Do you have the exact location of the doctor's base?" Sonic said with a calm not at all typical of him. The seriousness of the matter could be felt in the air.

Tails nodded determinedly, as if he knew exactly what Sonic was thinking. "It took me a little time, but I was able to locate it, it is not far from the northern part of the town where the drone was found. The base was abandoned no more than a year ago so it's probably still connected to Eggman's main base server. It is an information gold mine, an opportunity that we must not miss."

Suddenly Sonic's personality emerged from the void. His determination and his enthusiasm could be felt in the air. He couldn't wait another second. "Well. I will be doing my homework. Find out the next departure of the bullet train to a station near the town. Buy two tickets and get all the necessary hacker stuff ready. We will leave here no later than midnight to arrive as early as possible at the right place." Suddenly his smile grew. "This will be fun"

Math homework was easy. The emotion that Sonic felt for what he was coming made the completion of the task almost immediate.

15 minutes had passed and not only Sonic's chores were done, but Tails's as well. The backpacks with the necessary things for this mission were ready. Tails's contained a laptop, lower performance than the desktop, but still amazing. Several connector cables and other things that Sonic was not able to understand, nor did he want at that minute. Perhaps in the future he would ask him what each thing is for.

Sonic's backpack, like Tails's, was very technical, but in other ways. He carried artifacts that served him more for mobility and combat than hacking into Eggman's computers. In Sonic's backpack were special gloves almost the same as the completely white ones, but with a black color on the palms, both above and below. In addition to having a system of hooks on the wrist that reached a length of up to 500 meters in less than 2 seconds. He himself called these gloves "Exo gloves". Even he wasn't quite sure why he named them like that, it just sounded cool. They were quite useful and over time Sonic learned to get the most out of them, both in movement and in combat. But since Sonic thinks of everything, he also had some food for the road and a gray-green sweater in case he got cold.

Speaking of combat. Sonic was wearing his classic running shoes that ignored friction and prevented them from catching on fire. He had on black athletic shorts with a white line below each pocket. He was wearing a blue long-sleeved t-shirt and a white t-shirt over it. All these garments made of a material that nullified friction.

"Tails, I'm ready now. I finished my homework and got my things ready. How much do you need to get going? I can't wait to get there!" Sonic said impatiently, because he really wanted to start this.

"You know the trip takes 5 hours, right?" He said to him as he climbed the stairs that went from the basement to the room above. He was ready too. He was wearing the same sports shorts as Sonic, only his had two white lines so they wouldn't be confused with Sonic's. In addition to that, he was wearing a blue sweater and was covering almost his entire head with its hat, except for his ears, which had holes so that Tails could take them out and be able to hear better and more accurately.

Sonic, hearing what Tails had just informed him, was about to jump out the window. "I guess then you can knock me out when we're on the train." He said he downcast and disappointed.

"Heh," Tails chuckled lightly at Sonic's not-so-joke, "Good one."

"It wasn't a joke, but thanks anyway" Sonic murmured disappointed again. Tails heard him and looked confused at Sonic, who noticed this and wanted to change the subject. "Continuing with before. Did you buy the tickets for the train?" Tails nodded and Sonic perked up a bit. His adventure was a little over 5 hours away and, as sad as that may seem, his excitement forced him to form a smile. "In that case, let's go!" He said excitedly as he headed to the main entrance with his backpack on his back.

The way to the station was nothing to write home about, it was 23:00 and there were hardly any people on the streets, so Sonic and Tails didn't have any kind of problem involving people discriminating against them for being racist. It didn't take them more than 30 minutes to get to the station, it would have taken them less time, but they went with their backpacks on their backs.

They had no problem boarding the train, except for a guard who looked at the two of them with a concerned look. Sonic noticed this and interpreted it as concern that it was just two kids heading to the dangerous place where they spotted the drone, among other types of worrying accidents happening in the Akita district.

The guard's concern made him happy. Enough to look at him with a warm smile. Not many people are that nice to Southerns in public, especially if they're strangers. Sonic wanted to encourage people to continue like this every time he noticed a good deed, which is why he smiled so kindly and warmly. The guard stared at him for a couple of seconds without moving a muscle, as if the little hedgehog in front of him had understood and appreciated his concern, taking it away at the same time. He came out of the trance with a calmer look and a slight smile. It was a nice moment.

Already on the train, both realized that there were very few people who were going to the Akita district. They both knew the drone thing would freak people out, but they had no idea it was going to be that many. They were pretty much alone in it which, again, Sonic didn't mind at all, it meant less trouble after all.

However, he noticed that Tails didn't feel the same way, and he has since they were in the house. 'What bit him? He's usually not that serious.' He was worried, and he felt a little bad that he hadn't noticed earlier, so he didn't waste any time. "Tails, are you okay? You have been very seriously thoughtful since we left the house."

Tails wasn't in a trance. He heard Sonic perfectly and his reaction was to make an even more serious face, as if what was coming was too big to be excited about. This further worried Sonic, who had no idea how to react to this. Is it his fault? Did he do something that annoyed him and didn't deign to show it until now? Questions like that flooded Sonic's head. Despite everything, he remained calm. Situations like this were nothing.

When he opened his mouth to ask again, he was surprised at Tails' words. "Sonic". He paused briefly, "Do you think we can find any information about him at Eggman's base?

Sonic froze for an instant. 'He had been thinking of this?' After thinking about Tails' words for a bit, he breathed a sigh of relief. He was glad that his concern was in fact an easy question. The last thing he wanted was for motivation to be low before a mission like this, since it's a terrible idea.

However, he knew the question was serious, so he answered it the same way. Looking straight ahead, in the same direction as Tails, he told his buddy. "That would be a great help. Any bit of information like that would be invaluable. But you have to keep your feet on the ground, I don't think we'll find anything." Given that answer, the only thing the two-tailed fox could do was look at him with a little concern.

But Sonic's mentality was firm. He knew perfectly well the influence that people's moods had on their performance, so he didn't hesitate to show Tails that the world didn't end there.

So, absorbing the bad thoughts from him, Sonic smiled warmly and patted his head a couple of times. "But why would that be a reason to be so low? Relax buddy. If we don't find anything, we can keep looking. Also, that is a very good reason to continue exploring Japan, and even the world!"

Sonic's tone of voice was soothing and encouraging. So much so, that, together with his warm smile, they were too much for Tails not to catch on. The fox laughed lightly. "Heh, you're right. It doesn't have to be a reason to stop trying. Just hope for the best!" He said as his temper rose.

Sonic felt accomplished. 'My work here is complete.' He smiled even more and raised a fist. "That's the spirit!"

After that… They fell asleep.

There were four and a half hours of travel left, and neither of them felt like wasting time doing anything. Sonic specifically thought about it, but he cleared it up in an instant. 'If I'm going to waste my time like this, at least let it go quickly.'

When Sonic woke up, there were no more than 200 meters left to reach the station. They got off without a hitch and nothing unusual happened as they exited the station. It would have been strange to have problems with the citizens given the context in which the district was and the time. Well, it was 4:30 in the morning, nobody was awake at that time.

Outside of this, Sonic decided to speak. "Well. That nap helped a lot to replenish energy. And I have to exhaust them fast!" He said excitedly. Then he turned and looked at his buddy who was checking out his miles electric. "Tails, lead the way, and do it quickly please!" He said as he laughed. He couldn't wait any longer, they were too close to something so exciting.

It took almost no time for them to reach what could be considered the entrance to Dr. Eggman's secret base. It only took them to move a little away from the fairways and into the field to increase the pace. In order not to attract attention, Sonic ran at a moderate speed while Tails flew less than a meter above the surface, trying to spin his tails as little as possible so they wouldn't make any noise.

They were exaggerating a bit. Who was going to notice them in a sparsely populated place at 4:30 in the morning in a field area with small forests? No one, but hey, better safe than sorry.

After a couple of minutes. The trees began to grow, and the area was becoming more and more sketchy, so they decided to speed up even more.

And after just 3 minutes out of the streets, Sonic and Tails were already at the entrance of the secret base.

Sure enough, it was an abandoned base. The floor was littered with dismantled robotic parts. Several broken metal zones in the base structures and a strange abundance of vegetation, as if nature had adapted to the design of the structures and expanded through it. The little light that there was came from the sun's rays, which worried our Southerns a bit, as they feared that there would be no energy to investigate the egg net.

That thought was not going to stop them, least of all Sonic. They were already here so it was best to investigate first.

There were 3 main buildings, which if replaced with points and placed on a Cartesian plane formed a triangle. Each one was distinctive from the other and stood out a lot in design and the feelings it gave the heroes just by looking at them, as if each building was assigned specific tasks that the other two buildings may not be capable of.

By sheer intuition, Tails decided to enter the closest building to them, and Sonic just followed him. He wouldn't care how they were going to do things as long as they could get information out.

The two-tailed fox didn't even bother to look at the building's entrance in detail, which seemed strange to Sonic. 'He's supposed to be the analytical one.' After some thought, he assumed he had to do with the train question and was in a hurry. The hedgehog decided not to think about it anymore and thought that in that case it was a good idea for him to do the job of his best friend, so he set out to analyze the entrance to the building in more detail.

The building was full of ammunition, manufacturing parts, cranes etc. Apparently, it was the building where the base's resources were stored.

The building, in addition to all the resource stores, was filled with futuristic rooms with endless assembly machines, robot parts all over the floor, and half-assembled robots. It wasn't too hard to understand that this is also where robots of all kinds, both combat and manpower, were made.

Analyzing a little and understanding even a little of Eggman's crazy mind didn't sound like a bad idea to Sonic, especially considering his friend's behavior. Usually, it would be Tails who would stop to analyze all this mess, but today wasn't his day. However, Sonic did not achieve anything since the machinery that was displayed before his eyes was too complex to understand even the most basic. So he decided to continue investigating.

They stayed like that for about 10 minutes. Tails analyzing the slightest and moving in a hurry without inquiring into anything, while Sonic tried to do Tails' job and analyze the surroundings well, failing miserably.

A couple of questions about the machinery slipped out of Sonic's mouth. Removing Tails from worrying about "him", even for a while, was one of Sonic's priorities.

Of course, Tails responded coldly and quickly to all of them, as if Sonic's questions were the least of his worries at that moment, and they were.

There was no point in investigating this building further. With Tails like that and Sonic being light years away from understanding what he was seeing, neither of them was going to be able to get any information out of that place, not even with theories.

They continued forward and came across the second building. As in the previous one, Tails didn't give himself a second to analyze the input, which Sonic did again.

Even the entrance had a strange aura, which emanated danger with each step taken, an aura that could give anyone who was observing the place, even a little, the creeps.

The interior was no different, in fact, it gave an even stronger sense of danger than the entrance.

At this point Sonic couldn't be more nervous, between the place, the feeling it left and his best friend with his head in the clouds without feeling even a little of what Sonic felt, this place deserved Sonic's full attention, who didn't I let his guard down for even a second.

He tried to get closer to his best friend little by little while he cautiously observed the surroundings of him, which became worse and worse.

The place was packed with robots, some lined up perfectly as if they were pawns in a war, others locked in capsules with green liquid flowing through them. Given their shape and size, Sonic could only assume that they were the robots specialized in combat against certain enemies.

One capsule in particular had its lights out and glass broken. It could be deduced that over time this capsule deteriorated due to lack of maintenance, just like the glass. But this situation was different, because the capsule was full of cuts and scratches, completely destroyed. After looking a little closer, Sonic noticed something that made his hair stand on end.

There was water spilled around the capsule.

This could only mean one thing, the event had been recent. Something had leaked out of that capsule recently and it has claws that can pierce through steel.

Sonic didn't think about it for a second longer and fearing the worst, he equipped his exo gloves. With an insecure voice and eyes lost in the surroundings, Sonic decided to comment on the situation to the two-tailed fox. "Tails, buddy, please, I need you to stop thinking about him and focus on what is happening now. There is something that has me very uneasy."

Finally, Tails snapped out of his trance and looked confused at Sonic, both because of his trance and because of his friend's comment. "Sorry, I had my head in the clouds about before. What's happening?"

Sonic was inwardly glad that his friend finally woke up, but he kept his serious face. "Look there, that capsule is destroyed and the liquid is scattered around it, the event is recent."

Tails approached the capsule and analyzed the perimeter well and noticed certain defined figures had been formed with the water. "You're right. Something escaped from this capsule and went in that direction." He said to him as he pointed to a darkened area. Suddenly his tone felt a little shakier. "For the sake of the investigation I should say we follow the footsteps, but I don't know if that's a good idea. What should we do?"

"Relax buddy. Let's think about it for a second. We can confirm that a crazy robot with killer claws just broke out of this pod and is on the loose. Our number one priority is not the information we collect but our safety, remember that we are alone in this" Sonic said still with his guard up and serious, but at the same time calm.

This calmed Tails down a bit, but not enough. "What should we do then? Ignore It?".

"As much as I would like to say yes, there is a third thing to consider in the equation that doesn't allow us to leave this problem unsolved."

"And what is that unknown?" Tails said with a slight fear in his voice. It was noticeable that despite being the brainiac in the team, he lacked such experiences, which blocked him from thinking clearly.

Sonic, on the other hand, was calm. He had already dealt with situations like this and knew well the consequences of everything. So, knowing the state of mental block his best friend was going through, he decided to be clear with his words. "People."

Tails looked slightly confused at Sonic, he hadn't finished understanding the reason for that third thing to consider. So Sonic kindly explained. "Imagine a robot like this attacking the various towns and cities in the Akita district. I doubt all the heroes in this district are capable of taking on an Eggman robot of this caliber. We have to stop it here and now before lives are lost."

Tails nodded determinedly finally understanding the situation and the importance of his actions. "Good, I understand. What should I do?"

"Did you bring your miles electric with you?" Sonic asked. Tails nodded. "Good. Try to hack the building to see if you can turn on the lights that still works. We are short sighted and that is a huge risk in a fight. In the meantime, light the way so the robot won't take me by surprise if it spots us."

"Ready and ready." Tails said after turning on the flashlight of the miles electric of him.

The place suddenly became much darker as small noises were heard coming from the pipe. This made both of them check the surroundings again, which left the two heroes even more nervous, since they had noticed, thanks to the flashlight of the miles electric, spooky details of the building. Details that made every step they took feel like a kilometer.

Dismembered robots, robotic heads split in half. Machines that would be complete if it weren't for the giant hole in the center of their abdomen.

Whatever this thing was, this one had a flaw in its artificial intelligence. One dangerous enough to mercilessly attack its robot allies.

This was enough. Sonic had already made his decision for him. He had to destroy this robot, and as soon as possible.

He focused too much on that thought. His gaze fixed on the front and his pace quickened, to the point of having moved a few meters away from Tails.

That was the worst mistake of his.

He felt a strange tension behind him. Tense enough to make her skin crawl. He slowly turned around and when he saw what was before his eyes, he froze.

There was Tails, lifted against his will by a force that grabbed him by the neck, with such force that Tails's highest priority was to breathe and not get out of the clutches of the monster that had taken him hostage.

With his last breath, Tails managed to say a few simple words to Sonic. "Push… the button".

Sonic looked around at the speed of light until he identified the miles electric. He shot towards the device and without even looking at the code that was written on the screen he hit the "Ok" button as fast as he could.

Instantly, giant lights illuminated the entire warehouse they were in. Sure enough, it was a warehouse for robots, both combat and construction.

However, Sonic didn't take a second to look at his surroundings and his gaze focused completely on his friend and the robot that had him suspended in the air. His eyes narrowed and his mouth fell open in shock and disbelief at what he saw.

Metal Sonic.

The robot that had his best friend held in the air was the robotic copy of him.

It didn't even take a second for Sonic to fire his hook at Metal Sonic's head. Then the hook began to pick up the metal rope at full speed, propelling Sonic against his counterpart, managing to kick him right in the lens of his eyes, freeing Tails in the process.

Once everyone was on the floor, Sonic held Metal Sonic's two legs with his left leg, his counterpart's right arm with his right leg and the robot's arm with his left arm, leaving his right arm free in case to need it. Before turning to see his friend and tell him what to do, the hedgehog noticed the rust on certain parts of his body. On both legs, the left arm and the chest.

This metallic version of himself was weakened, neglected and out of date. This calmed Sonic down a bit, but he was in no way going to get too complacent or waste his time over this. Without looking at Tails, Sonic spoke quickly and pronouncedly. "Tails, this version of Metal is sloppy, I think I can handle it. Take the opportunity to catch your breath and investigate the area a bit. Something relevant must be here if it's-".

Suddenly he was interrupted by the turbine in Metal Sonic's chest, which lifted both of them and gave him enough mobility to hit Sonic squarely in the abdomen and send him flying into the wall.

In mid-air, Sonic began to spin at full speed so he could latch onto the wall and shoot up, gaining height and taking as little damage as possible on impact.

And so it happened, Sonic hit the wall and shot up. When he had gained enough height, he jumped to position himself about 10 meters above Metal Sonic's head. He fired his left hook to the ground and lunged at Metal, kicking him with his heel and knocking him to the ground at full speed.

Upon impact, the robot bounced back enough that Sonic was able to land a roundhouse kick on it and send it flying into the wall. The kick and impact were enough damage that Metal Sonic was paralyzed for a few seconds, which was enough time for Sonic to catch his breath once he was on the ground. But he also used it to think about the situation he was in. 'That hit was unusual for such a sloppy copy. He is still infinitely stronger than me. Damn you, unmuscular body of a hedgehog.' He shook his head to rid himself of such useless thoughts. 'Anyway, I have to be more careful. Despite being neglected, it's still a copy of me, and that's a lot of trouble no matter where you look'

However, at the thought of such things, his attention was slightly diverted from the metallic version of him, which took the opportunity to dash at full speed and land a blow to Sonic's abdomen. Throwing it away.

The battle continued for a while with both speedsters crashing into each other at full speed. Crashing and bouncing off walls and performing evasive maneuvers so as not to suffer more blows from the other. Sonic had a slightly significant advantage over his metallic counterpart due to his decreased movement speed due to rust on certain parts of his limbs.

But he wasn't going to stop Metal Sonic in any way. In an instant when Sonic was above his head, the robot shot up. It would have dealt Sonic severe damage if he hadn't narrowly missed it.

But it wasn't enough, as Metal Sonic made his way to the ceiling, which he used as a boost to shoot at Sonic again, this time from above. The impact knocked Sonic to the ground, where he stood for a few seconds to catch his breath.

As he was about to get up, the metallic version of him appeared out of nowhere and knocked him to the ground again, holding his limbs. His metal counterpart had enough strength to hold Sonic completely. He couldn't do anything. Move his limbs, do a spindash or even clench his hands into fists or use his hooks.

He was completely held back, but somehow…calm. Neither of them were moving, which gave Sonic some time to think about his next move. 'This is weird, normally Metal wouldn't waste a single second when he's fighting me. Something in his program must not be wor- '.

His thoughts were interrupted again when he noticed the steady and accelerating increase in illumination coming from the chest of his metallic counterpart.

'This is bad. I need to get out of here NOW. This thought rumbled through his head as he cursed his weak hedgehog physique and deliberately tried to get out of it.

But he couldn't… he couldn't get out of there. He was going to take a bolt of energy right into his abdomen and he had no idea if he was going to make it out of there in one piece.

At this point, the only thing he could do was pray that the beam was faulty and wouldn't fire, but judging by the energy Metal Sonic was giving off, it was practically impossible.

He closed his eyes expecting the worst when…nothing happened.

The beam didn't hit him in the abdomen. Sonic would have become a priest after this mission if not for the fact that the one who stopped the lightning was Tails, who had landed a direct hit against Metal with one of the robotic arms that came out of his backpack.

Sonic smiled. He had never been so glad that his best friend ignored him. Tails ran over to Sonic to help him to his feet. "Sonic! Are you OK?!"

"I am thanks to you mate! Good hit!" he said happily. Suddenly all his worries had vanished. The hedgehog lost all the insecurity in his being and replaced it with excitement. It's been a long time since he fought with his best friend against a robot like Metal Sonic. "All right Tails. While you're here, let's make sure to satisfy that piece of junk with the best pounding salads we can serve up. Just like how we have practiced!" he said enthusiastically.

Sonic's enthusiasm could only elevate Tails's, his tone so inspiring that he couldn't feel fear after his words. "Roger!"

The rest happened in a matter of seconds. Sonic blasted it's way to Metal Sonic at full speed, but instead of hitting him, he continued past him and, mimicking his robotic counterpart, used the wall in front of him as a boost to get back at Metal Sonic and push him towards Tails.

The fox was waiting for him with a robotic arm steady for the perfect moment to deliver the best blow to Metal's abdomen.

When Metal Sonic was less than two meters from the fox, Tails sent him flying again in Sonic's direction. Who was waiting for him to finish it finally.

The hedgehog jumped up, grabbed its metallic counterpart by the head and began to spin in the air at breakneck speed. So much so that you couldn't see more than a blurry blue flash.

A few seconds later, Sonic threw his Metallic version to the ground at amazing speed. The impact was so strong that the floor broke and a small hole was created.

This would have been enough to destroy him, but just to be sure, Tails kept flying over both speedsters when Sonic was spinning. When Metal Sonic was on the floor, the blue hedgehog began to spin at full speed again before addressing his best friend "Now!".

Hearing his words, Tails struck again with his metal arm. Only instead of the robot, it aimed at Sonic, who shot like a projectile directly at Metal Sonic.

The impact was such that Metal Sonic's head separated from his body, giving the robot the final K.O.

The fight was finally over.

Tails sat on the floor to digest what had just happened. He took a deep breath and stared blankly at the ceiling. Sonic, meanwhile, was in charge of checking if the robot was indeed out of the game. It was. He smiled happily and proudly, but before turning to his best friend and encouraging him to continue, his eyes focused on a device poking out of Metal Sonic's head.

It was a strange glowing light blue USB chip that he couldn't figure out, so he told Tails about it. "Hey buddy, sorry to interrupt, but I just found-"

"That was too intense! I can't believe I just fought a Metal Sonic! That was incredible!" He interrupted euphorically. The little fox hadn't had a fight like this in months, it was to be expected that he would go crazy. But not long after he realized what Sonic was going to tell him, so he gestured for him to continue.

"As I said... I found this strange chip sticking out of Metal's head, it stands out too much to be part of the robot's system." He said as he showed it to his friend.

Tails studied it for a while and spoke. "I am not able to know what it is for at this momet. But it looks important, let's just keep it." He said happily as he put it away in his backpack.

With the intense battle finally fought, Sonic and Tails headed to the last building they had left to investigate.

This must be the main building. The entrance was huge, it was almost in perfect condition inside and had an almost infinite amount of screens, one of them being exaggeratedly large.

Sonic and Tails stared at the screens around them in astonishment before heading to the big one. They had a feeling that this was the main computer.

"The amount of screens and computers in this place is exaggerated and ridiculous. What does Eggman need all this for?" Sonic said as he went on and on looking for a single corner where there wasn't a computer, failing in the attempt.

"I agree with you on that. This amount really is not needed. But let's not waste time on this, I'm going to see if I can hack the Eggnet." Tails said without losing a single second of his time.

Minutes passed and Tails was not able to hack the system. His stress and frustration were even in the air. 'Why can't I come in? What is supposed to be missing? Why does it tell me that the entry system is incomplete if I have already done everything that is necessary?' These were the questions that kept going through his mind. He was about to combo into his miles electric when he felt a hand on his shoulder.

"Relax Tails. You get nothing good out of breaking your computer. We're talking about hacking the Eggnet, of course it's going to be difficult. We have to think this through calmly." Sonic said with a reassuring smile.

Tails took a long breath and sat down to think. He searched and searched his brain for a solution when suddenly… click. He remembered what Sonic had found in Metal Sonic's head.

He quickly took it out of his backpack, inserted it into the computer's USB port, and went through the hacking process again.

It had been unlocked.

The Eggnet had been unlocked. And not only that. That chip belonged to Metal Sonic, the robotic elite of Dr. Eggman's empire. There was much more information to dig into now.

Tails jumped with happiness. They had found one of the most valuable pieces of information they could find.

"This is incredible! I have access to the entire Eggnet. I will be able to know Dr. Eggman's plans in real time. I have access to the most classified information in his army. There is so much to do that I have no idea where to start!" He said with a grin from ear to ear. He didn't stop jumping until he again felt a hand on his shoulder.

It was Sonic again with a smile almost as big as his. "Excellent job Tails! I knew you could do it" He said clapping hands with his best friend. "But don't get too excited. You have to think calmly."

"You're right, sorry. What would you like to do first?" The fox said more calmly.

"I have three favors to ask of you. One: It would be a good idea for you to do some kind of hacker magic so we can access the Eggnet from our house. Coming here every time we want information is a terrible idea, I'm not going to waste 5 hours of my life just for a bit of information"

"Give me a second…. Ready. Access to the Eggnet is being transferred to my computer at home. Keep going."

"Two: I need you to find out Eggman's plans for the next three months. The school closure stage is coming and I need to plan well my next move within society."

Tails investigated and after a while he turned to tell Sonic that it was done, but when he saw his blue friend, the words couldn't come out of his mouth. Sonic's look had become much more serious than usual, to a point where he could be scary if you didn't know him. After a while, he spoke. "And three: I want you to, please, find out right now if there is any information on the Eggnet about him."

The fox suddenly froze. How had he forgotten that? His face took on a serious tone, he nodded slightly and began to inquire. After a few seconds that felt like years, he found something. Without even looking at Sonic, the fox began to speak. "The amount of information on him on the Eggnet is almost null. Name: Xeroc. Age: 28 years old. These two pieces of information and the photo you see on the screen are the only information there is."

"So that's his name huh... Xeroc" Sonic said in a very low tone and stood still for several seconds. "Very well thanks friend. It's not much, but at least it's something. Don't worry, we took a big step today."

Tails was infected with optimism. "You're right, this insurance is a big step. Regarding your second question, apparently Eggman is planning to invade an entire district with a giant army. He says that the planning will begin in two or three months. I cannot specify where or when it will be since there is no information other than what I just said"

Sonic kept a calm mind despite the heartbreaking information. With his left hand resting on his chin and his eyes still looking up at a blinding light, he spoke calmly and in a thoughtful, moderate-volume voice. "A large-scale attack sounds too dangerous"

Tails on the other hand, was calm too, but not on the same level as Sonic. "So is. And what worries me the most about all this is not the attack itself, but what is behind it. Based on these data, it can be deduced by sheer obviousness that itEggman will attack a highly populated area. Which not only puts innocent lives at risk but also…"

"Because that way it puts me out of the game by not having a hero license, it's a good strategy. I have to admit it no matter how much it hurts"

"But it has its shortcomings. You can still do something to stop it " Tails said with encouragement that aspired to rise his friend's.

"There are many things I can do, but they all have their complexity and risk. What do you have in mind?" The hedgehog said curiously.

"It's easy, become a professional hero." He said calmly and smiling.

"What are you talking about?"

"Get into some hero school and get a provisional license"

"But isn't it supposed to take me a year or two to get it out?"

"Yeah."

"So what do you suggest?"

"Considering various things, I would say that the best is… U.A"

Sonic was slightly surprised at the words of his best friend. He agreed, but there was something that did not quite fit him. "But... won't I draw a lot of attention at that school?"

"If you act like a regular student entering U.A it won't be that much of a problem. It is the best option as it is the only one that sends first year students to take the provisional hero license exam. And since time is key in this, I think it is the best option."

After hearing his words. Sonic couldn't do anything but smile with excitement. "All right. In that case I will start preparing for the entrance exam." He looked at the secret base exit and said excitedly. "U.A., here I come."

¿How was it?

Maybe you're really condused about certain things. Don't worry, I will explain them here.

1.- Like I said before, In this fic Sonic characters are part of the MHA universe, so, as such, I gave them a lore a "quirk" to fit will in it. (I will be going deeper in the lore of the characters as the story goes on.)

2.- You may be wondering "¿Who the hell is Xeroc?", well, that's the name I gave to one of the most relevant villans in this fic. (It's an OC btw)

3.- I won't be using a lot of Sonic characters since I don't wan't to write all them. And since the Sonic characters that are going to be used here are part of this universe, I will have to change the world so they fit in them. (I will be telling some of the changes with the ongoing of the chapters, so wait up for it!)

I lastly wan't to apologize if the english is wierd, I am actually writing this in spanish and then translating it through google translate (changing the bad traductions of course, but some little ones may have gone unnoticed).

Feel free to comment anything if you need. Criticism is well appreciated.
