I was in my room, laying on my bed when I felt his presence.

Suddenly, my covers were thrown away from me and before I could react my hands were forced on top of my head.

I gasped as I stood face to face with him.

He wasn't painted, at least not completely, he had just this long red smile.

I tried phasing, but I just couldn't.

"Well, that position is familiar," he said laughing, making me feel sick as he stood on top of me forcing his weight on me.

I began to tear up.

"Oh, don't cry dear, let me kiss it better," he grinned and started kissing my neck.

I couldn't do anything. I struggled beneath him and just cried.

He only laughed and bit me hard.

I gasped in pain.

"That's it, cry for me, little one," he said and I kicked him with my legs.

He quickly slapped me furiously.

"What do think you think you are doing, little Kathryn? Your mum is gonna be mad when I tell her how bad you were, or you can be good for me now and I won't tell her," he said with that smirk and I spit on his face.

He groaned in disgust.

"So be it," he said and forced my legs open.

"No! Stop!" I screamed, but he put his arm on my mouth and I shot up awake.

I checked my surroundings, he was gone.

Only Rogue who was sleeping peacefully on her bed.

I heard that ringing noise in my head, and my heart was beating like crazy, making me close my ears, wishing for quiet, but it only got louder.

That's when I noticed that I was hyperventilating.

I hugged my knees and tried to calm down my breathing.

It's okay, he is gone, he is in the past.

He is dead, he can't hurt me anymore.

-Time Skip-

By the time I had calmed down, it was already 5:30 in the morning. I should be used to these nightmares. He lays me a visit every time I close my eyes. No need for him to haunt me during the day as well.

I shrugged off all my previous thoughts and worries.

Time to start the day.

I always woke up a bit earlier than everyone else to have breakfast in silence.

I walked into the small kitchen and smiled as I saw Logan sitting at his usual spot on the sofa, at the end of the room, reading his newspaper.

"Morning," I greeted and he turned to me.

"Morning half-pint," he said and got back on reading.

I sat at my favorite spot on the table, which was close to the sofa.

I grabbed an apple from the fruit bowl and began eating.

Just because I changed my diet doesn't mean I won't be eating an apple every morning, old habits can't be stopped that easily.

After my moment with Logan last month, he spoke to the professor and found a specialist to make me a special diet to reintroduce meat in my everyday life.

Logan made it as a surprise for me, he understood the need I had to cut every last connection with my past and that this was one of them.

I was really grateful.

I laid back on my chair and took another bite of the apple.

It was so quiet, something I didn't get to have a lot around here.

The mansion is pretty crowded and I barely have any time alone. Not that I don't enjoy the company of others, but I just need some time for myself.

Since I have a roommate, my room is hardly ever empty.

Me and Rogue hang out a lot and have the same taste in a lot of things, but sometimes she has those mood swings and doesn't want me around her.

I bet she just wants some time for herself just like me.

Finding a place to be alone around here is really a matter of timing.

Sometimes I just have to settle, like when Logan is around, but he's okay because he minds his business and because we both share the need for peace and quiet.

I found myself staring at him and smiled slightly.

He noticed me and let the newspaper down.

"What's the matter half-pint? Am I reading to loudly for ya?" he asked sarcastically, smirking at me and I laughed.

"No, no, just enjoying the quiet," I admitted with a wide grin.

Ironically enough, at that exact moment the door burst open and everyone, minus the professor, hustled inside like wild animals.

They were all talking on top of each other, you could hear things being crushed with one other, the screeching sound of forks and spoons being scratched against the plates.

Then Scott opened the TV and turned up the volume.

Yeah! Go Scott! More noise!

I thought as I glared at him.

I groaned and put my head down against the table in frustration.

My attention was caught by Logan making me look up again he was staring deeply at the screen of the television.

It was news about a wild animal attack on Mount McKenna.

Logan seemed really distressed and literally rushed out.

"Hey Logan? You, okay?" Scott asked, but Logan didn't reply he kept walking.

I dropped my apple on the table and rushed after Logan.

I reached his room and for a moment I hesitated to interfere, but I really wanted to know if he was okay.

I was right in front of his door, I could hear screams of anger and things being thrown around, but most shockingly I could see three deep cuts on his door which I knew had been caused from his claws.

I knocked on the door and everything went quiet.

"Logan, it's me," I made my presence known and waited for a response, instead he opened the door harshly.

My eyes moved to look inside his room which was trashed, scratches on the walls, furniture all over the floor, ripped curtains and sheets.

He noticed me looking and sat the door loudly making me gasp in surprise.

"Logan, sorry, are you okay?" I asked in a whisper and he groaned.

"Yeah, fine, fine, just redecorating," he said quickly and walked away.

Something was seriously off about him.

I am so keeping an eye on him.

-Time Skip-

I was in the garden and climbed a tree close to Logan, who was sitting on a bench in the yard talking with professor.

Scott was repairing his car at the garage.

As I watched Scott, a spike got stuck next to my face on the tree .

"Sorry!" Evan yelled while laughing and I glared at him but didn't push the matter further.

Evan can be so immature sometimes, it's like he has no idea how his actions affect the rest of us, then again maybe he does.

I thought as I pulled the spike out of the tree and watched as Evan got out with his skateboard.

My attention was back on Logan and the professor.

They haven't noticed me which is weird. Logan with his superhuman senses and the professor with telepathy should have already detected me by now.

"Something on that news story, I don't know what, set me off," Logan explained to the professor and he nodded.

"Charles, there is something in my head. It's buried there, maybe you can help me," Logan said and the professor placed his hands on Logan's head.

"Yes Logan, but you need to relax," the professor instructed and Logan scoffed.

"Easy for you to say," he said and took deep breaths trying to calm down.

Suddenly he screamed and professor pulled away harshly.

Logan had a really rough life maybe that's why he understands me so much.

"Tell me that was a dream or something," Logan begged the professor, but he shook his head negatively.

"No, it was a memory, a long forgotten one, I believe that was a suppressed memory from how you got the adamantium, do you wish to continue?" The professor offered.

"Go for it," Logan said and the professor placed his arm on Logan's temple.

Logan cried out in pain and they pulled apart again .

"Are you alright?" Professor asked concerned.

"Whatever happened to me...that's where it started, with that black-coat man! He is the guy who did this to me!" Logan said furiously and stood up.

"I got to go," Logan said and I panicked.

Knowing him he is going to that mountain.

"You are going to that mountain in Canada, aren't you?" The professor asked, stopping Logan by grabbing his hand.

"You figured that out from inside my head," Logan asked not really expecting answer and pulled his arm away.

"Do you want company?" Professor asked and Logan laughed darkly.

"Do I ever?" He said and walked away.

I am sorry Logan, but either if you want company or not, you are gonna have one.

I thought to myself as I climbed down.

I can't leave him alone, not when he needs me the most.

-Time Skip-

I sat at the back room of the black bird, all dressed up and ready.

I would have asked him to come, but I know the answer, it was gonna be a no.

So, I took matters in my own hands, maybe this is stupid, maybe this is wrong, but I know that he would have done the same thing for me and he wouldn't ask and I won't either.

I sighed in relaxation, this is the quietest time I have had in a while, this is probably the only time I have been completely alone.

I missed those quite moments so much, that I get to do nothing and think of nothing, just zone out.

Finally, some privacy.

My thoughts were interrupted by the familiar bamf'.

"There you are!" Kurt excitedly pointing at me and I groaned.

"Why are you here?" He asked and I glared at him.

"Like, out of necessity! All I wanted was one more minute alone in this stupid mansion!" I whisper yelled, throwing my hands in the air.

"Oh touchy," he said laughing and I rolled my eyes.

"Wait, why are you in uniform?" He asked confused.

Oh, shit, almost forgot about that.

"I-," I was about to make an excuse, but the jet started moving with force throwing me and Kurt to the floor.

I stood up and opened the door to the pilot and Logan was driving the jet as expected.

"Oh, it's Logan," Kurt said relieved. Then he stood up and began walking to him.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you, he is not himself lately," I said stopping Kurt by his upper arm but he just rolled his eyes at me.

"Don't be dramatic," he told me and pulled his arm away.

"Don't say I didn't warn you," I whispered to him but he still walked up to Logan.

"Hey Logan," Kurt said, placing his hand on Logan's shoulder but he popped his claws out and swiped at Kurt's head.

I gasped but before his claws could make contact with Kurt, he pulled them back in.

"Sorry, is this seat taken? My mistake," Kurt said and teleported next to me.

"Still think I am dramatic?" I asked with a raised eyebrow and he shook his head.

"No, actually I don't," he said and hid behind me as Logan headed over to us after pressing the autopilot button.

He didn't seem lucid.

He was in pain, he kept grabbing his head and groaning.

"Why are you following me?" He asked glaring at us.

"We aren't following you, well Kurt isn't following you; he came here looking for me. But I heard you talking with Professor and decided to follow you. So, yeah, I am following you" I explained and Kurt's eyes widened.

"You what?!" Kurt asked with wide eyes and I shrugged with an awkward smile.

Logan seemed more furious than before.

He got his claws out and tried to slice us, I got ready to phase us but Kurt teleported us farther back.

"Oh no, you made him angry," Kurt said while having his arms around my shoulder and stomach.

"I got to take you back before-," Logan said, but was cut off by his own scream, he fell to his knees in pain and clenched his head with both hands.

I stood up wanting to go close to him but Kurt immediately pulled me back down shaking his head.

"You got to get away, there is something in my head, I can't control it! Can't be trusted," Logan said in between cries.

His eyes were begging for help.

He stood up barely standing on his feet.

He walked back to the pilot seat and closed the door locking in the back room of the black bird.

"He locked us out!" Kurt shouted, panicking, but I shook my head.

"No, he locked himself in, so we will be safe," I explained and his eyes widened.

"There is a crazy person flying the plane! You call that safe?! We have to get out of here!" He yelled, freaking out.

"We can't leave him!" I yelled back.

"We can't stay!" He argued

"He needs our help, you saw him! He is in pain! Without us he is gonna be out in no time!" I said and he seemed to calm down.

"Logan is our friend, he would have risked his life for us, it's only fair we risk ours for his. And you got every right if you don't want to, but I am staying here with or without you," I said softly and got comfortable on the floor.

He sighed and smiled at me.

"You are right, we are stuck on this flight anyways," he said, laughing slightly and sat next to me.

I leaned my head on his shoulder and he pulled me close to him as we awaited our arrival to Mount. McKenna.
