I phased into the room to find a lab, full of computers and a man wearing black coat and black sunglasses.

At the center of the room stood a tank full of green fluid.

Then my eyes landed to Logan who was tied up by some robot-like machines.

Machines. I thought and smirked.

"Kathryn! The computer!" Logan screamed.

"I see the problem!" I yelled and phased through robots sorting them out, they dropped to the floor and Logan was freed.

"How? What?" The man said shocked and I laughed.

"And I have just began," I said smirking and jumped inside the main computer causing it to explode, lighting the room on fire.

The man that stood next to it was thrown to the ground by the force.

I phased my head out and laughed.

"It's about to get really hot around here," I said laughing and ruined more computers.

"You caged the wrong animal, bud," Logan said grabbing the man by the collar of his coat.

"Stop! This place is going to blow!" The man screamed in fear but Logan laughed darkly.

"Let it! Kathryn leave," Logan said sternly.

I phased out of the computer and run to him as he threw the guy on the floor and he gasped.

"I am not leaving you!" I said as sternly.

"Half-Pint I mean it, leave," he said more softly.

"No! Not without you!" I yelled at him angrily at the idea that he thought that I would actually leave him.

Kurt teleported inside next to me and grabbed my hand.

"No argument this time!" Kurt said and my eyes widened.

"No, wait!" I yelled but it was too late Kurt had already teleported us out.

We were down at the base of the mountain.

And then it exploded.

The mountain exploded. A huge avalanche was created by the force of the explosion that covered the whole mountain. Kurt and I merely stood and watched as flames were mixed with snow and rain, dust falling onto the virgin snow.

Logan was inside that mountain.

We left, but he didn't.

I took a deep breath as I felt sick in my stomach.

Kurt placed a hand on my back and I looked at him with desperation in my eyes.

He had the exact same look.

I sat on the ground and he sat next to me, placing his hand around me, carefully not to hurt my shoulder while I leaned against his.

That's when I noticed the huge scratch marks on his chest, blood coming out of them and his ripped uniform.

"Did Sabretooth do that?" I asked in a whisper and moved away slightly so I could look at him.

"Yeah, but it's fine, I'm okay," he said and I slightly shot up examining his wound.

Then I grabbed my knife and he looked at me puzzled.

I cut off my hood, fixing it up as best as I could, and placed it against his wound, applying pressure.

"There must be a first aid kit at the jet. I could stitch you up, maybe we should go," I said and he nodded.

"Maybe" he whispered.

"What if he comes back? " I asked and at that moment I felt like a little kid. A lost child looking for its parents.

"I don't know Katzchen, I really don't know," he said and I felt a tear run down my cheek but he wiped it away.

"He can't be gone; he is going to come back. He has to come back," I said and I saw Kurt's lip trembling, he was like a child trying to hold back its tears.

"It's going to be okay," Kurt stuttered out.

"Is it? " I asked, losing hope.

"It has to be" he answered and stood up, replacing my hand on his chest applying more pressure on his wound.

"Come on, let's go to the jet, if he is going to come back for us this where he would look first," he said and I nodded while standing up.

"Come on, you are the tracker here, which way?" He asked, trying to lighten up the mood.

I observed our surroundings and recognized a particular root.

"This way" I pointed at the direction.

Thus, I began walking, leading the way back to the jet.

-Time Skip-

We reached the jet and I stitched Kurt and myself up.

Kurt couldn't keep his eyes open and he soon passed out from exhaustion in the back of the jet.

After I made sure Kurt was okay, I went outside of the jet and felt the breeze hit me once more just like the moment we arrived, but now the breeze was mixed with snow and dust, the sky has darkened and the moon has risen but no sign of Logan.

I sat down on the cold snow, hugging my knees as I felt the coldness of the snow spread all over my body.

I stare blankly at the forest in front of me.

I was hoping to see him walking up to me, to get out of that forest and scold me for following him here.

I was hoping to hear him call me half-pint again.

I was hoping that he was okay.

But what if he isn't?

What if I never see him again?

What if his last words to me were leave?

No! No, Logan is strong, a survivor. He would have never given up on us or life.

I am not going to let go.

Come on, Logan, I have faith in you, come back.

I thought as I kept looking at the direction, and not letting my eyes blink, I was afraid I would miss his arrival.

I don't know how long I sat here. I know it's more than just some minutes since the snow had begun to cover me up as well.

"Katzchen? How long was I out?" I heard Kurt's gentle voice but I didn't bother to turn around.

"Two hours," I answered in a low voice and he gasped.

"Two hours, that's too long! Why didn't you wake me up?" he asked surprised.

"You needed to rest, you have been fighting Sabretooth all day long and also I am sorry I dragged you into this. If I hadn't followed Logan, none of this would have happened," I said, my voice full of guilt, not daring to look at him.

He went through hell because of me.

I heard his footsteps as his feet sunk into the snow, he sat next to me and I avoided his eyes.

"It's not your fault, I chose to be here, I wanted to be here for you and Logan," he said gently with a soft smile on his face and touched my shoulder but immediately pulled his hand back with a gasp.

"Kathryn! you are freezing cold!" he said shocked and I moved away from him.

"I am fine" I said stubbornly,

"How long have you been out here?" he asked concerned and I stayed silent

"Kathryn?" he asked again and I sighed in defeat.

"Two hours" I answered in a whisper.

"What?! Why?!" he asked in shock.

"I am waiting for him" I stuttered and he looked away from me.

Now we were both looking away from each other.

"Katzchen, you -" he cut himself off and sigh.

"I what?" I asked and turned to face him.

"You don't have to do that," he said swallowing hard.

"What do you mean Kurt?" I asked emotionally, more than I would like to show.

He was uneasy, he seemed unable to form words.

"Maybe we should go inside you are going to get sick and this is the last thing we need right now," he said and his voice ringed in my ears.

"I am not going anywhere, I am fine," I said sternly and looked towards the forest with determination.

"Kathryn, don't do this please, you are going to freeze-" he said with the same tone as me trying to speak my way, trying to get me to understand, but I did understand, I just didn't want to listen.

"I said I am okay! I have to be okay! I have gotten through a lot of shit in my life, I will get through this too, for him. Because even if you don't believe he is coming back, I do! And I will stand here till he does even if my skin has turned blue from the cold, I will be here when he needs me, like he was for me," I shouted and shot up.

"Katzchen, do not yell at me please, I want Logan to come back too! I don't know how we can even move on without him! But I can't risk losing you too, by freezing to death, waiting for him to come back " he said and I saw tears forming in his demon -like yellow eyes, but he didn't let them fall.

I couldn't speak as my own tears were close to spill.

I turned my back on him and sniffed forcing the tears away.

"And what are you suggesting we do?" I asked with my back still turned on him and wiped away the tears that fell on my cheek.

"I don't know! I don't. I don't know what to do to protect you! I don't know how to help Logan. but I know that I don't want you to get hurt because you are stubborn, and I know that you want to help Logan and that you are as lost as I am, but if you get hurt you aren't going to be any help, you are just going to make things worse and I know that you know it too,"

He yelled in frustration and finally let the tears slip out of his eyes, but he tried to hide it from me by turning his back on me.

My whole expression softened.

"Oh Kurt," I said as I heard the quiet sods he released.

I hugged him from behind and buried my face in his arm.

"We are going to find a way, I promise," I said softly and he touched my hands that were hugging his back and stomach.

I heard a groan making us pull away from each other.

My eyes widened as Logan walked out of the forest with a torn and burned uniform, he was barely standing but he tried to walk to us with all his might.

"Logan!" Kurt and I exclaimed in joy.

Kurt and I rushed to him, running faster than I ever had before.

Once we reached him, Logan collapsed on us.

I searched for his pulse on his neck and I smiled when I found one.

"He is going to be okay," I said and Kurt sighed with relief as tears of happiness ran down his cheeks.

-Time Skip-

Finally having Logan on our side, Kurt drove the jet back and we immediately explained to the professor what had happened.

He was shocked by the news and rushed Logan into surgery with Ororo at his side.

Turns out that Logan got crazy because of a chip in his brain that was placed a lot of years ago when he got the adamantium in his skeleton.

The professor didn't share any farther information with me and Kurt, saying that this was personal and concerned Logan only.

And he was right, I bet Logan wouldn't be happy if the professor shared a piece of Logan's history without his consent.

After the surgery Storm stayed by Logan's side, I also visited every hour to make sure that he and Ororo were both okay and didn't need any help.

Kurt wasn't too badly hurt, only the scratches I saw, they sadly left a scar but it isn't visible because he's covered in blue fur.

I was really upset about the scar, even more than Kurt, but he was joking around saying that we now matched.

Everyone was really worried after they found out about our adventure and that raised the question

Why didn't they look for us?

Whey thought that me and Kurt sneaked out, to have some alone time, more specifically they thought that we had gone together at Kurt's favorite Hamburger shop.

We were fighting for our lives and they thought we were eating hamburgers.

Anyway, we arrived here late at night and now the sun had risen, but Logan hadn't woken up yet. I couldn't help but worry.

Logan has a healing factor, shouldn't he be up by now?

If he could survive an explosion like this one, I am sure he could survive anything that comes his way.

As I said before, he is a strong man and he proved it once again.

I sat in the kitchen surprisingly alone. I could feel Logans absence.

it was a routine for me to meet him here every morning reading his newspaper, followed by everyone bursting into the room while doing all sorts of things.

But surprisingly, I was alone.

I thought and as if on a cue I heard their voices behind the door, but why weren't they coming inside already.

Their voices were mixing with one another as they spoke.

"Come on," Evan said

"I am starving," Jean added.

"it's time for breakfast!" Rogue yelled

"Relax guys! Give her a few more minutes! No one is going to starve to death," I heard Kurt yell back and I felt my lips curl into a smile.

He had remembered what I told him in the jet. He was keeping them out so I can have some time alone.

He was doing this for me.

I stood up and walked to the door opening it widely.

"So, are we eating breakfast together or not?" I asked them and they finally all walked inside with their voices mixing with each other, plates and forks crushing against one another.

Kurt stood at the door and he had a confused expression.

I couldn't help but laugh at his reaction.

"I am confused," he stated and I kept laughing.

"I know," I said. He looked more confused now and took a step closer to me.

"I though you wanted alone time," he said and I nodded.

"I did, but let's just say our adventure reminded me why I love those people and you," I said and his eyes lit up with joy.

"Did you just say that you love me?" he asked excitedly but he already knew the answer.

"I did, and you better remember it, Elf, because I am not saying it again any time soon," I said and he smiled sweetly.

"Love you too, Katzchen," he said laughing and got me into a tight hug and I hugged him back.

"Let's go for breakfast before there is nothing left to eat," I said and pulled away playfully.

We walked together inside the kitchen and we sat all together on the table.

Scott sat next to Jean on the right side, Evan sat next to Rogue and I took a seat next to her, while Kurt moved next to Scott's side on the left.

I grabbed an apple from the fruit bowl and Scott turned on the TV.

Everything was almost like having a Deja vu, but I knew it isn't, it's just our thing, our own routine.

Our ordinary life.

Funny, I've been complaining about not having enough alone time, but I think I kind of like miss bumping into everyone.

It's just part of the deal,

when you are part of a family.
