Warning: There's going to be spoilers for Season 2's finale "True Colours" in this chapter (and probably the next ones, too).

When Marcy Wu opened her eyes, she wasn't sure what to expect. She was in a forest, of sorts. It was huge. The trees towered over her, and mushrooms glowed dimly in the shadows.

"It worked!" She cried out loud excitedly. "I can't believe it actually worked!" She turned around to see her friends' excited faces, but they weren't there. "Anne? Sasha?" She suddenly realised something. She was alone. "Anne? Sasha?" Marcy kept calling out as she wandered through the thick bushland.

They're really not here, she thought with great sadness. Anne had the music box, right? She began thinking. She was going to figure this puzzle out, she knew she could! That must mean that if she's not here, she's somewhere else, maybe with Sasha! Marcy looked up. Well, looks like I'll just have to hold on until they find me.

Sasha seriously thought she was going insane when she came to. The things that tipped her off? Well first off, she had landed in a shining city full of walking, talking, newts. Can you blame her for being shocked? All she wanted to do was to get Anne a nice birthday present, have some fun with her friends, and then avoid going home. Was that so much to ask? And, worst of all, while Sasha was looking around in half shock-half awe, she fell down a flight of stairs. And broke her leg. So yeah, not the best day of her life. But, luckily for her, the newts had free public health care, and she found herself living in the palace of the Amphibian king.

"Are you sure you want me to meet this guy?" Sasha asked Olivia- no, sorry, Lady Olivia as they walked through the palace. "I don't know if it's occurred to you, but I've never met royalty before."

"You'll be fine," Olivia assured her. "Besides, he is the king, and it's his duty to see to a new subject." But I'm not a new subject, Sasha thought grumpily. All I want to do is find my friends and go home. Not meet another world's monarchy. But it was too late to turn back now, and she had crutches, so it's not like she could get very far if she wanted to. They walked through two absolutely huge fancy-looking doors, and Sasha got the feeling that this was the throne room.

"Sasha Waybright, may I introduce King Andrias, ruler of Amphibia for a thousand years."

Sasha looked up at the giant throne and took a few startled steps back. He was huge! A giant blue newt sat on the throne, looking down at her with blurred interest in his eyes. "Wow," he said, leaning forward to see her better. "I've never seen a creature like you before! How did you get here?"

"Boy, I'd like to know," Sasha responded, but seeing Olivia's facepalm, she quickly added, "Uh, Your Majesty." And did a small bow, too.

But instead of frowning at her, the king laughed.

"You've got spunk, kid," he smiled. "I like that."

"Thanks," Sasha replied, surprised at his response. "But just Sasha's fine."

"Well then Sasha," he continued smiling at her.

"Ever heard of Flipwart?"

The first thing that Anne noticed was how dreary it was. Then she noticed that she was completely alone, still holding the music box, and that she was definitely not in LA anymore. She looked around at her surroundings, and looked down at the box. Whatever you are, you got me here, she thought angrily at it. But how do I get back? But she couldn't leave without Sasha and Marcy, wherever they were now. That's what her plan was: Find her friends, then get out of this place.

Anne put down her backpack, wrapped the box in a cloth, and placed it in. Better keep this safe, she thought as she put back on her backpack. Especially if it's the only way back. She looked around again, then realised that she was in some kind of swamp. Maybe I should try to find some help, she thought as she took off at a brisk pace. But that pace didn't last long. She suddenly tripped over a tree root and tumbled down a hill, where she crashed into something. Or, someone.

"Oh, thank goodness, I-" She cut herself off. She was looking at not people, but a bunch of really big toads. Like, bigger than herself. Not only that, but toads wearing armour and holding spears. Okay, I appear to have gone crazy, Anne thought to herself, looking at the toads that had surrounded her. That had surrounded her.

"Hey!" She yelled, looking at their sharp-looking spears. "What are you-"

"Get it!" One of them yelled, the rest charging forwards. Anne screamed and ran, just avoiding their grasping hands. "Ha-ha!" She cried as she was gaining distance from them. "Thought you could capture me, huh? Well, boy were you-"

She was cut off, crashing into something hard and falling down, landing on her back. She groaned as she looked up. It was another toad. And if Anne thought the first ones were scary, this one clearly was proving past Anne wrong.

His eyes glowed in the darkness, and Anne spotted a large scar that ran down his right eye. He was wearing armour, just like the other toads, and had this... feeling about him that made Anne want to hide forever.

"Well, well, well," he grinned at her. "What do we have here?"

Hello! I love AUs! It's one of my favourite (and pretty much only) fanfiction style! Anyways, I got this idea when I was watching one of the Newtopia episodes of Amphibia where Polly asked what would have happened if Marcy arrived with them, instead of Anne, so here we are! I'm very excited to see where this concept will take the rest of the show! See you soon! :D
