The other houses were moved, including a little one bedroom cottage. Bit by bit, the little children's play village started to grow and Ianto sat in the shade of the veranda of the 'glass wall house' watching as Jack and the others worked diligently to make this project work.

Arguments about a pyramid in Indiana Jones style that led to trap doors and fake booby traps being talked about over the dinner table as Ianto quietly fed the baby and smiled, nodding now and then.

Everyone was having fun and Ianto let them go, the 'Barbie' house one Babs was especially invested in, giving a lot of her costume jewelry to the treasure chest in the huge room full of flowers. Still Ianto smiled and nodded, clutching his baby to him as he wandered from house to house, seeing the lists written on walls, the stuff being collected and placed in rooms ready for the work to begin.

Still… Ianto hummed as he carried his baby around and told everyone what a great job they were doing. He watched more come to help, telling them the first house was finished so the kids could be there with him if they needed a minder while the preschool and Baby House were not open after hours.

Ianto had five babies with him in the end, one so new it was not doing much but sleep as his mother eagerly helped with the 'Africa' house. Ianto didn't care what they did with the houses, his was done and the purpose now clear as kids ran through rooms laughing, playing and calling out to him for cuddles, clambering into his lap for a snooze. The ugly sofa a firm favorite as food was smeared into it and kids sat on the back of it pretending they were riding a horse as Ianto whooped them on.

The little newborn in a tuft of fake grass with his little hat slid over his eyes like a weird sleeping mask. Prefect really and Walt taking photos of the kids for a photo display was sweet too.

Oh yes.

Ianto had a project and it was grand.

Once again… he was the baby whisperer.
