Jack's Spaceship House was almost complete and Ianto was now preparing for painting the walls. One of the rooms to be a 'viewing room' with one of the walls a huge window looking out at the space around the 'vessel' with maybe an alien floating past waving or something. At least… that is what the scrawled words told Ianto as he stood there looking at the room. Three walls were padded like someone might hurt themselves floating around in there, the floor also covered with soft mattress-like pads that were probably for a gym or something. Jack was clearly embracing this all the way… the foot holds and handles on the ceiling no one would ever reach telling Ianto he was maybe a little too excited.

The surround for the 'window' had chrome and must have cost a bit to be dipped and placed around the edges of the wall… shit. This would take a while to paint. Luckily Jack had tonight of safety and the pads were pulled back so Ianto could have the ladders on floorboards, the plank between them as a scaffold already there.

Right. Um… "JACK!"

"Yes lover?" Jack swung around the doorframe, "Cool huh?"

"Have you insulated and clad the outside of the house?"

"About to… why?" Jack stepped further in to the room.

"Well… if you use some solar powered garden lights… shove them into the walls here and there, leave the solar panels at the end of the long wire at a corner in the garden under the house… we can have twinkling stars? No power needed so if a little finger pulls one out or tries to chew on it, god forbid but we know our babies are animals… no harm no foul."

"Oh my god. That… yes! Wait, don't start painting" Jack rushed off and Ianto shrugged, heading to the other room that was competed for him to start, the control room. Flight deck. Whatever. The old la-z-boy in the middle of the room on a small stage was the captain's chair, complete with Captain across the back. The two consoles that were Flight Lieutenant and one with Communications Officer scrawled on their backs were barber shop chairs. Cute. The console wrapped around the walls and the buttons, switches and knobs flashed, made noise and looked kinda real. Toshiko had enjoyed making this.

Ianto walked to the 'View Screen' and saw the note scrawled on it.

Enemy Vessel Dead Ahead.

OK. Ianto nodded and started to sketch, humming as he stepped onto a part of the console that had 'foot here' on it so Ianto knows it is stable. Jack was clearly still a helicopter Husband and Ianto did not mind one bit, Jack revelling in being the one in charge… even if it was Ianto's idea… well… sort of.

He would get this done over the next few hours while Shay had hir afternoon nap, would wake grumpy and demanding for Jack to deal with then… Ianto would wash out the brushes, say his back tweaked a bit towards the end and spend the rest of the afternoon contemplating what to have for tea with Shay clinging to him happily while babbling about whatever toy or trinket or sweetie Dadda slipped in to soothe the grumpy bum.

Perfect.
