The air was stale and Ianto was throwing open windows and doors as Hawk awkwardly carried Shay upstairs to show hr the play things up there. Jack was carrying in bags and he watched Ianto open cupboards and such, sorting out things like they had not been here in a couple of years. I guess, it was really. About a year at least. God. It had been that long?

Best-by dates were being checked and soft muttering ensued as Jack now started to carry in all the groceries and he now knew why they had half a bloody store in the back of the SUV. Apart form clothing for Shay and Hawk, most of the clothes here meant the men only needed a single suitcase, the kids with one each. That left so much room for food… the dogs rode with the kids. Don't be silly, they would NEVER leave behind the dogs which of course also included a huge black cat that apparently was Hawk's shadow these days.

Ianto started to replace the discarded food for the new food and Jack knew the best thing to do was to leave him to it, walking upstairs to freeze as he found Hawn doing the same thing as his Tad. Holy shit, the clothes were all over the place as Hawk threw things from his drawers with abandon, doing loud muttering and little Shay sat watching with howls of glee.

Jack did the only thing he could think to do… he started recording the parody of Ianto's frenzy as Shay screamed with glee, a t-shirt landing on Hr head form the idiot not even looking behind himself as he threw clothing around.

"Right… now for the good stuff" Hawk said as he opened the suitcases and carefully placed the new clothes in the drawers and then stood back, tutted with his hands on his hips and arranged things again.

Jack shot down to show Ianto the video with giggles only to find Ianto standing there with his hands on his hips staring at the cupboard before tutting and then rearranging things.

Oh my god.

He DID do that.

Jack walked over to the lakeside doors to look out at the animals rampaging about on the lawn, the cat in the middle of it all and he wondered when they got the little white dog. He didn't remember a … shit. That's not their dog. "Babe? Another doggie is here."

Ianto came over to look and shrugged "Must belong to one of the houses nearby as it's well cared for. Never mind. We will cal Marv and let him know we have it here in case someone is looking for it."

Jack lit up as he called his friend and they had a good conversation as Jack sat and watched the dogs, the mad things inside the house ripping things apart and putting them all back together.

Just like home.
