"U-Uh… W-Why are you looking at me like that, Kyouka?" Izuku questioned, tilting his head curiously at his girlfriend as she stared at him with an annoyed expression painted on her face. The greenette had been doing homework in his room when she decided to join him just to glare a hole in his head.

"It's nothing!" She claimed, turning her head away from the greenette as he sweatdropped and let out a sigh. She had been like this ever since she got here and every time he tried to talk to her or ask her what was wrong this was what he got out of her.

"Kyouka…" He mumbled exasperatedly, growing more and more frustrated with her lack of communication until finally he had enough and decided to just confront her about the issue. "You can't just sit there, glare at me, and act like nothing's wrong. What's the matter? You know you can talk to me, so just come out with it if there's a problem. Please?"

"Mmm.." She grumbled before letting out a huff of frustration and furrowing her brow. "Fine! You wanna know so bad? You were getting all kinds of chocolates today from other girls, hell, you have a pile of them right over there!"

Izuku turned to where she was pointing, noting his backpack and an otherwise unknown large amount of "friend" chocolates that he had received from classmates, and people who may or may not have been crushing on him. It was the first time ever that he had received chocolates at all, were they really that important to people?

Izuku understood the meaning behind them, but like mentioned prior, they were just simple friend chocolates. At least that's what he thought when receiving them.

"But… It's just chocolate, what's the problem?" He questioned, turning back towards his girlfriend of a few months and tilting his head curiously out of confusion.

"It's not about the chocolate! It's about you accepting it with open arms, what if one of those girls had a crush on you!?" She challenged, her voice getting a tad bit higher due to her own annoyance. She knew very well that she was just acting jealous, but she was there when he received each and every chocolate and it ruined her own chances of giving him the ones that she made with the help of Yaomomo.

"I-I seriously doubt that would happen, but in the instance of that being the case I'd decline. I have you in my life, even if all of them somehow had the intention of giving me romantic chocolates, I'd rather just have you." He replied, his tone sincere, but his face showed the mass embarrassment he was feeling from having to admit such a thing.

"Ugh! You just don't get it! They already gave you the chocolate, Izuku! You accepted it, which means they might think you accepted their feelings, and-"

"Kyouka, please, just take a breath for a second. What is this about? Why are you so worried about this? What happened?" He inquired, giving her a look of sincere concern as his tone changed to one of pleading. He wanted her to tell him the truth so that they could try to come to some sort of solution and she couldn't help but inevitably cave in.

"...It's a long story."

Kyouka and Izuku walked side by side down the halls of their school, their hands intertwined up until they made it to their classroom with Izuku removing his hand from hers in order to open the door. Right as the door swung open Izuku was suddenly met with the cheerful pink face of their classmate Mina Ashido.

"HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!" She shouted, causing both the greenette and his purple haired companion to jump in surprise and fear at her loud tone. Looking down at her outstretched hands the two found that the pinkette was offering a box of chocolate for the both of them. "I'm giving chocolates to all my friends today, can't forget the both of you!"

"Thanks, but maybe next time don't scare us like that, 'kay?" Kyouka reprimanded, taking the chocolates from her gratefully and handing Izuku the one meant for him.

"Yeah, I-I think I could do without the heart attack next time…" The boy beside her commented, letting out a breath of relief before being rushed once more by a certain brunette who made it known that she was going to be a pain in Kyouka's side for the day.

"Deku-kun!" The brown haired girl of the class called, alerting both Izuku and Kyouka to her appearance. Only a select few noticed Kyouka visibly flinch, but Izuku simply gave the girl a kind smile and greeted her like the nice young man he was.

"Ah, Uraraka-San, Happy valentines." He said in response, stepping a tad bit closer to Kyouka in order to create some distance between the two. Uraraka occasionally had an issue regarding personal space, and it often would lead to issues, so it was better to be safe than sorry.

"Happy valentines, um… I-I actually have some chocolates for you, so." She started, reaching into her backpack and pulling out a small plastic bag full of homemade chocolates with a pink bow holding it shut. The greenette took the gift gratefully with a warm smile. It felt nice to receive chocolates from your friends.

"Wow, thanks! It's actually my first valentines getting chocolates, are these store bought, or did you make them yourself? They look great." He complimented, inspecting the chocolates slightly before putting them away in his bag to enjoy later.

Kyouka watched as the brunette blushed and smiled softly, key signs of affection. It didn't help that she was practically giving googoo eyes to HER boyfriend and it was already getting irritating.

"Okay! Class is about to start, we're gonna have to get to our seats before Aizawa-Sensei gets here!" Kyouka interrupted, shoving the greenette along to the direction of his seat, sticking her tongue out towards the brunette as she pouted in response to her actions.

Kyouka was always trying to keep her away from Izuku, and now the brunette was becoming fed up. She was going to make sure her feelings got across even if it wasn't going to be today.

"And there he goes… So, I take it you're not gonna let this slide?" Mina questioned abruptly, turning to the brunette with a knowing expression on her face. She was aware of the two's fight for the greenette's affection, though neither her nor Uraraka knew that they were already a thing as they had only been together for some months now and made sure to keep their private life private.

Uraraka shrugged, "Hm… No, I think she's going to have a lot more trouble than just with me."

Lunch time had arrived, and good thing too as Kyouka was beginning to grow increasingly uncomfortable with the fact that all the girls in their class had given the greenette an obligatory chocolate. Sure, most of them were the kind that you give to your friends, but it was awfully odd that every single one of them planned on giving Izuku chocolates out of all people.

But now the couple could sneak away from everyone else, or at least that's what Kyouka had hoped until they ended up passing by another excited pinkette known for her… Unique personality.

"Ah, Midoriya! Just the clientele I wanted to see!" The one and only Mei Hatsume declared, stomping right up towards the greenette and getting in his face with a prideful and excited smile.

"O-Oh, Hatsume-san, did you need something?" Izuku questioned, tilting his head at the girl who decided to make a surprise visit and interrupt the couples "alone" time.

'You have got to be kidding me…' Kyouka thought, internally sighing as the pinkette's face grew a bit more bashful and distant. There was no obvious blush, but her body language gave away that she was nervous.

"Well, I have a gift for you. I can't exactly make chocolates or anything, so I decided to upgrade some of your gear as a surprise. It was a hassle to get your teacher to let me, but I was able to improve upon your air force gauntlets. One flick and you should be able to shoot two blasts of compressed air." She explained, handing the greenette her gift with a more apparent blush dusting her cheeks. Kyouka felt a vein pop on her head.

"Wow! Thank you so much, Hatsume-San! You really didn't have to." Izuku thanked her gratefully, as one does when receiving a gift, taking the gauntlets gratefully with a plan to place them back in his costume case when he got back to class.

Hatsume smiled, playing with her pink locks idly as she spoke, "It was no big deal, I wanted to thank you for being such a loyal customer, and… A good friend."

'Friend? FRIEND!? Friends don't sit there giving each other gifts with a racing heart and a red face!' Kyouka shouted internally, feeling a rage boil within her gut that she was forced to suppress. She was acting like she wasn't even there at all!

"Well, thank you regardless. U-Uh, we should be going now, right, Jirou-san?" The greenette stated, turning to his angered partner who seemed to be glaring daggers at the pink haired technician before them.

"Yeah… Let's get going, Izuku." She agreed, making sure to exaggerate the fact that she used his first name in front of Mei which only lead to a mixture of surprise from Mei, and shock from Izuku. Kyouka was getting increasingly frustrated and if she had to put up with another girl blatantly trying to confess to her boyfriend she was going to lose it.

As they walked away, Izuku simply stared at the girl in shock, only earning a "What?" when she caught him staring at her.

"...Did you not realize you just called me by my first name in front of her?" He questioned with a bright red face and a confused expression. It was then that Kyouka really realized what she had just done.

Kyouka froze, "...Oh shit."

The day was already feeling like it was going terribly for the purple haired rocker, girl after girl, one after another they came and presented their own valentines chocolates or gifts for her boyfriend and frankly she was getting more and more tired of it.

Luckily, it was now the end of the day, meaning that her and the greenette could escape to one of their dorms and she'd finally get the chance to give him her valentines day gift, but just as the couple found their way outside of the school's main entrance they were abruptly stopped by the raven haired girl Yui Kodai of class 1-B.

"Ah, Midoriya, there you are." She called, making her way towards the couple as she had appeared to be waiting for him. Kyouka immediately felt herself tense up, silently holding back whatever words she wanted to shout into the air out of anger. Why were all of these girls trying to snag her boyfriend today!?

"Kodai-san? Were you waiting out here for me?" Izuku questioned, even though he was a tad bit skeptical about this encounter, turning to Kyouka for some sort of assistance, finding that she wasn't going to be much help as she was off in her own anger-filled world at the moment.

"Well… Yeah. I wanted to give you these, I didn't get the chance after our training today. I always appreciate the advice you give me on using my quirk, so I thought I'd repay you for your kindness." She replied nonchalantly, handing the greenette yet another plastic bag filled with homemade chocolates, though these ones were in the shape of hearts. A clear message to be sent, yet one that went right over Izuku's head.

"Oh… Well, thank you. You didn't need to repay me though, I'm always happy to help if you need it!" The greenette exclaimed, smiling kindly to the ravenette before him as he placed the chocolatey package into his backpack. "Anyways, we should get going. Ready to go, Jirou?"

As the greenette turned to find the purplette he was shocked to see that she had disappeared. He grew worried, looking around at his surroundings to see if he could spot her, but it seemed like she stormed off. Izuku assumed she didn't want to be followed considering that she didn't even tell him she was going ahead, but he couldn't help the gut feeling within him that something was wrong with her. He sighed, giving Yui a proper goodbye before deciding to make his way back to the dorms. For now he'd have to finish his homework, she'd come to him when she was ready too, he had to respect that.

He just hoped she was okay.

"So do you get it now? Those three were totally crushing on you, Izuku! I know it's just me being stupidly jealous, but I can't help it! You accepted it all with open arms, I guess… I guess it just made me feel like me being your girlfriend wasn't important." Kyouka expressed, letting her head fall to the ground in sadness as tears began to build up in the corners of her eyes.

Izuku finally began to understand, she was beginning to feel insignificant and it was his own fault. He should have been more aware of everything around himself, but more importantly, he should have known how it would have made her feel. He knows how fragile she could become at times, especially when she feels challenged.

"Kyouka…" He called, his tone soft and caring. He rose from his seat at his desk and made his way over to his bed, sitting right beside her. His hand hovered over her shoulder, but instead of placing it down he opted to place his hand on her cheek, lifting her head so that she'd look at him in the eyes. "You know that I'd throw away all of those gifts in a heartbeat if it meant I'd be able to have you… I'm sorry for not paying more attention, I should have figured that's what was going on, and it was a bit… hardheaded of me to not realize it sooner."

"...It's fine, you're not exactly the brightest when it comes to that. It took forever for you to get the hint with me at least." She replied, chuckling softly as she leaned into the greenette's touch, letting him wipe away the tears that nearly fell from her eyes. She smiled, placing a kiss in the palm of his hand as both of their faces began to grow red. "I'm sorry for being so jealous, I just wanted to be able to be alone with you and give you my valentines gift too…"

"Well… We're alone now, aren't we?" He offered, placing a soft kiss on her forehead before rising from his seat on the side of his bed. "I'm here, you have my full attention, so why not give it to me now, hm? There's no one to interrupt."

Kyouka smiled, nodding as she used her jack to pull her backpack from the foot of his All Might themed bed and opened it up to reveal her own bag of chocolates tied shut with what appeared to be a purple braided bracelet.

"Is this..?" Izuku trailed off, turning to Kyouka who attempted to hide a bashful smile.

"Yeah, it's a bracelet I got so you'd think of me. I know it's kind of dumb and possessive, but-"

"I love it." He said simply, immediately taking the bracelet off of the bag and putting it over his own wrist. "I don't even know what to say… I don't think I'm ever taking it off."

"W-What? Don't say that, it's just a stupid bracelet-"

"It's more than that." He interrupted, scowling a bit at how she tried to play it off. "It represents your feelings. I would wear this forever if I could, just so that I have you with me at all times."

Kyouka had nothing to say. She was left speechless, all the words she could have said wouldn't come out and all she could feel was the thumping in her heart and the heat growing on her face. She realized how close he was, how she could hear his heartbeat, but there was never a lie as he spoke. Izuku suddenly scooted closer to her, leaning in close enough so that he could feel her stifling breaths on his face and Kyouka succumbed to her own desire for affection, crashing her lips onto his own and solidifying just why they were together in the first place. It wasn't because of jealousy…

It was because they loved each other.
