Hawk still had the sore throat and now he had earache too. Shay seemed fine, just a little grizzly and Jack was fine. Ianto… Ianto was panicking all too quietly as he tried to remain calm and cajole Hawk to drink some more orange juice. Vitamin C. He had read that, vitamin C was a good way to fight this thing.

Jack was panicking as well, only his main concern was for the man on the phone to Owen for advice, pacing along the large picture windows. Ianto. Oh god. Darling, sweet and painfully compromised Ianto.

Owen had managed to calm Ianto a lot more and now Ianto was making soup. Soup is good, right? Ianto can do soup.

Shay wanted down from Jack's lap and started playing with the pretty coloured blocks. Shay was boyish today in little trousers and a t-shirt that had cookie monster on it. Shay got to choose the clothes much as all the kids did. Hawk was in a mood and as such was rebelling by wearing one of the old shirts of Ton's like a dress, the entire thing dragging on the floor as he stomped up and down telling Ianto he was NOT having more juice and he was NOT having another icy block, he wanted a hamburger!

"Well I don't think red meat is best for…"

"God save us from the little thinks" Hawk said as he theatrically flopped onto the floor and lay there as if dead.

Shay laughed.

"Thanks a lot for the support there" Ianto muttered as he poked a the toddler with his skippered foot, losing the slipper as Shay bit it and removed it to shake like a dog with a toy. "OI!"

Jack laughed as he leaned over to wrestle the slipper back off the child who clearly had no idea what germs were even if Taddy did.

"Oh well… good for the immune system I guess" Ianto finally said as he accepted the slipper and carried it with two fingers to the tub so he could dump it in a bucket. He poured water and disinfectant and after a moment's thought he dropped the other one in too.

Ewwwwww.

Jack was there with the spare pair of slippers. Yes, of course Ianto had spares. Jack knelt to put them on Ianto's feet and Ianto smiled as he felt a little like Cinderella getting the glass slipper fitted, hanging onto the tub as he looked down at his husbands' perfectly dyed head.

"I love you" Ianto said softly as he reached out to card his fingers through that hair and Jack rose to kiss him gently.

"I love you too Tiger."
