Jack was about to yell for Ianto when he remembered the man's hatred of such a vulgar act, instead rising as he told himself that this was not like the house back home. Rose Cottage was huge but the Lake House was only these few rooms. While in lockdown, if he could not find his lover in this cottage then he was clearly a crap police officer in his day.

He found Ianto on the patio looking out over the lake like it had wronged him. I guess it did, it did bring the capsize and the idiots who infected them. Jack walked over to stand next to him, about to make a remark about the fact when he saw what Ianto was scowling at.

They were trying to salvage the capsized boat out on the lake.

Jack tined to look for a chair, pulling one over for Ianto and then one for himself so they could sit and watch the men trying to attach a rope. One was leaning over the bow of the large police skiff at a precarious angle.

"That won't work" Jack said softly "It's on the sandbar thing."

"Hmmm" Ianto agreed.

They watched the boat back up… the rope broke, Jack started snorting with amusement as a small sound behind theme had Ianto rising to look inside at the play pen where a certain toddler was waking from the afternoon nap Hawk had been surprised to find himself wanting as well.

"Shayling!" Ianto crooned as he went to pick up the toddler and step to one side as Hawk staggered past dragging his kitty cat covered blanket. He was grizzly and not at all happy, the virus making him a little shit. Not his fault, of course he was crotchety. He was hungry but not. Everything tasted yucky and he was so fed up. Poor little guy, he seemed to be the most affected of all of them.

Ianto exited the doors to sit once more, this time with a snuggly bum in his lap as Jack endured the long limbed torturer that was trying to become a bony and extremely heavy shawl across his shoulders while grizzling that he wanted an icy pop.

Ianto rose "I will get it. Get us all one."

Ianto returned with four red ones. Oh my god. The crazy madness. Red food colouring all around? Wow.

They all sat sucking their ice-blocks as they watched a chain and a second boat try to drag the submerged bot instead to lifting it with a crane like they should try to do, according to Jack.

They all felt tired and crabby but the warm sun and the entertainment of stupid arses did seem to make things a little bit better.

No need to talk.

One fell in and Jack snorted with amusement.
