Chapter Two
Stumbling as the vertigo of warping from one place to another washed over her she could only squeak as a hand reached out to steady her, his pinky finger extended so that his quirk did not harm her. Casting him a small thankful smile she could only frown as her eyes adjusted to the dimly lit room.
It was small and illuminated by a few dull lights, casting her gaze around the cold dark room she could only bristle as she caught sight of her father, beaten, bruised, and strapped to a chair like some kind of animal. Over his face was a breathing mask, an iv and other various wires were hooked up to him keeping him alive.
"Tou-san." She whimpered as she fell to her knees before him, placing a trembling hand on his knee. What had they done to him? Sure, he was a villain but he looked like he was on death's doorstep.
Trailing her eyes over him, seeing him without his helmet for the first time in years. Her heart bled, gone was his stark white hair as were his blue eyes that used to shine with affection whenever he looked at her or her mother, a matte of scarred flesh was all that remained. He had sacrificed so much to fulfill his dream...
"There's not much time..." His voice was a low gravel breath, shaky despite the assisted breathing. It caused anger to flair to life in her.
"My sweet Kagome, how I tried to shield you from this...but the time has come. I need you to be my strength." She could only curl her fingers in his state issued pants. Casting a glance at Tomura she could only frown as he looked away, his shoulders stooped as his hand scratched at his neck so hard she was surprised he wasn't bleeding.
"I need you to take my quirk and to help guide Tomura. Once you think he is ready to lead you can give him my powers. Until then they will be yours my dear one. Now hurry, touch my hand before they notice you're here." His voice was urgent and it made her clench her teeth, she wanted to ask him so many questions. To demand answers.
Why her?
Why now?
How was supposed to guide Tomura?
Yet as she gazed at his trembling from she could only swallow and nod, he had never asked her for anything before and if this was the only thing he would ask of her who was she to say no? She was a loving daughter, she adored her father and if she could help him then she would.
"O-okay you-san. I love you and I trust you." With that she placed her hands on his, wincing as a burning sensation assaulted her, it felt like liquid hot fire was pumping into her views. Replacing the blood with flowing lava. It hurt!
Her whole body locked up in pain as her eyes rolled in the back of her head. Her body going limp as a sheen of sweat coated her, her body trying to fight off the invading quirk while it broke her down to her very core only to rebuild her better, stronger.
"It's done, get her out of here." Tomura Shigaraki could only give a low hum, pulling his hand way from his burning neck. Kneeling he shifted her into his arms, always keeping at least one finger off her, standing he gazed at his master.
Guilt flooded him. Anger, sadness, shame, pain.
He didn't want to leave his master here, he didn't want to be without the man he viewed as a father but he had no choice and it was all his fault.
As if sensing his thoughts his master gave him a small tender smile. "It's not your fault, everything I do is for you and her. I need you to keep her safe. Protect her no matter what. Promise me." He could only gulp as the weight of his masters words settled on his shoulders.
"I promise, and I promise we'll come back for you." With that he stepped into the portal that opened just as alarms blared to life around them.
All for one could only let out a deep laugh as guards swarmed his cell looking for people who were long gone now. He had done what he needed, his two most precious people were okay, safe, and together. He knew they would be okay, and now he could finally rest.
