Chapter Three

Stepping through the portal Tomura Shigaraki was hard pressed to not let his tears fall. He hadn't cried in years, not since the day that he had been found by his master...a master who was now out of reach.

Gritting his teeth he shoved the thoughts from his mind and instead gazed down at the small woman in his arms. She was light, so tiny, so breakable. He would do whatever it took to protect her. He had promised his master and he would not let him down, never again.

"Ngn." The small pained noise that fell from her parted lips drew his attention, her face was flushed with fever, sweat coating her forehead as she panted. Inhaling through his nose he began to walk through the halls that made up their hideout, one goal in mind. To bring her to a room where she could recover while he continued to do damage control.

He wound his way through the many halls of their new base, it was an old abandoned school in the middle of nowhere. It wasn't glamorous nor up to par with their needs but it was what they had and they would make it work. They would rise from the ashes with this small woman being the heart of their operation.

"Get Dabi and Himiko, tell them to bring whatever medical supplies we have." His voice was low knowing that Kurogiri would hear him no matter where he was. He entered a room, one of the only ones to hold more than a few chairs and tables. In it was a full sized bed, a dresser and a few other furnishings.

It was supposed to be his room but now it was hers and he was okay with that. Laying her down on the bed, careful of his quirk, he was hard pressed to hold in his chuckle as her small trembling hands curled into his shirt, not wanting to let go.

"Ngh no, stay..." It was an airy whisper and it made him sigh, he wanted to stay. To be there when she woke up, to be there for her in her time of need and pain but he still had much to do. He had to fix his mistake as best he could he owed it to her and to his master.

Gently prying her fingers from his shirt he smiled as she curled around his pillow and sighed into it. It was gone as soon as it was there, a frown replacing it as she whimpered and panted into the pillow. Where the hell were Dabi and Himiko? As if summoned by his dark mood he heard the door to the room open as Dabi gave a low huff.

"What the hell did you do to yourself now?" Dabi's voice sounded bored as he entered the room pausing as he took sight of the small female in the center of his bed wrapped around his pillow.

"Ohhh whose she?" Himiko stood on her tip toes as she leaned around Dabi to see the female, she looked pretty! Though she also looked really sick! Frowning she moved to the bed, setting down the dingy first aid kit she had been told to grab.

"Someone you will all be introduced to once she feels better." Shigaraki told the two taking the first aid kit from the blonde, "I want you to gather everyone and tell them we are going to be switching hideouts to the one downtown in the warehouse district...and that things will be changing."

Dabi gave a low hum, eyes flashing to the woman in the bed before moving to leave. He would follow orders for now, but he was curious about the girl who one of their leaders was treating so kindly.

"Lets go bloodsucker." Dabi told the young blonde who gave a pout at not being able to get the information she wanted.

"Don't call me bloodsucker. It isn't cute at all." Himiko muttered following Dabi out with a little pep to her step.

"See you later boss man." She giggled as she left out the door.

Shigaraki sighed and opened the first aid kit to grab some pain meds, the higher dose that usually doesn't come in med kits. He moved and went into the bathroom off the side of the room and grabbed some water in a glass he kept in there.

"Come on now Kagome. Take this and once your fever is down and quirk is settled, we have things to do." Shigaraki told the woman who opened her eyes with a glazed look.

He put the pills in her mouth, holding the cup to her lips so she could get water. After she took a few mouthfuls and swallowed the pills her eyes closed again. Shigaraki gently pushed some hair out of her face.

"Rest." Kagome did so, her body relaxing fully and darkness taking over her.

Shigraki stood up and glanced at the girl, he was going to make preparations for everything that was going to be moving.

Today was turning out to be a long and emotional day.
