Tohru Honda found herself in a dilemma. She couldn't recall the last time she saw the Sohma family turned into animals. The very notion of seeing Kyo Sohma and Yuki Sohma becoming the cat and rat, respectively, upset her. Tohru hoped that the curse wouldn't last, before the boys would become boys again, but it was likely to happen.
And so Tohru waited. And waited. And she kept on waiting, for minutes, to see Yuko and Kyo transform to humans. But the transformation did not occur. It was very odd. Very strange to see them as animals that could talk and fight.
They didn't even know she was there. If only, they could just see her. Maybe that would give them some hope.
"Psst!" an Oriental Cat broke her silence.
Tohru turned around, facing the Oriental Cat.
"I can help you. Let me help you," the Oriental Cat said, getting Tohru's attention. "Oh, don't mind them. One day, you will see them again. For now, this will do."
"Who are you?" Tohru asked, quite confused.
The Oriental Cat giggled, introducing herself. "Oh, my name is Seraphina. Yes, yes, you see Kyo and Yuki fighting. But they won't trouble you as much as you would like. I just left Hogwarts. It's a wizarding school for wizards and witches. If you want, I can take you there. Maybe you'll appreciate it, Tohru Honda."
Tohru looked at her in shock. What did Seraphina want? Tohru hesitated, bursting into tears. "I'm sorry! What did I do to deserve this?! It's my fault!" Tohru couldn't stop crying. She didn't know why this was or why this cat bothered her. Kyo wasn't like that, and neither was Yuki. But this cat, this Oriental Cat, had a way with her. A way of breaking her out of her shell, of unleashing her dark side.
Oh, Tohru didn't know what to do, but she had to do something. Or else, this Oriental Cat wouldn't leave her be!
To Tohru's surprise, the Oriental Cat Seraphina rested her paws against her shoulders. Tohru couldn't believe it. This cat, this Oriental Cat, was comforting her. Did she miss something?
"Shh! Let me comfort you," Seraphina said, finding comfort in this girl. This upbeat, bubbly girl. Yes, Seraphina knew this kind needed to be worked on. There was so much work to do. Seraphina could do it, allowing Tohru to unleash her dark side, letting her see her true form. Yes, that was what Seraphina would do. No matter what, they would always be together. "You're safe now. Let's go."
Tohru stood up, finding she was becoming a white cat. A cat with so much innocence. Tohru followed Seraphina through the portal, leaving with her.
