Here we go also forgot to say for the last chapter, but I didn't read the comics with the election, just some scenes I'm trying to keep in canon and not OOC but not doing the best job. I tired.

Lin holds on to Bumi as they sway together, attempting to look natural and not frazzled by Tarrlok being in the same place after many years. That feeling was back. It radiated in ripples as she thought about what to do next.

" We got to make a distraction after I tell Mako to be in the hall towards the bathroom and alert Saikan." Lin finally mumbled.

"What's the plan, chief?" Bumi noticed something intense in her eyes. He didn't say anything.

"He will try and follow us. We need to sneak off to the bathroom; then Mako can ambush him. If the target has his bending back, ideally, the avatar will notice we're gone." Lin steeled herself, performing more ridiculous than she already was. She ignores how bizarre she's been all week, this would not come quickly, but she had to make it seem like she and Bumi were leaving the Gala. She knew it would work if it were Tarlok. If it wasn't, then she figured Korra was hatching a plan.

Bumi and Lin move around the dance floor getting near Saikan and giving Saikan and Mako a warning. The music turned to a more drum beat tune, and Bumi took a deep breath as he felt many eyes on his back. He began dancing, trying to draw the people's eyes to Lin and himself. He was surprised but relieved. Lin managed to use the element of surprise to draw their eyes. Lin danced to surprise the krew who watched in the background. Bumi set the mood, and Lin matched it. She isolated her hips and chest as she adjusted beats and shimmed. She moved like a wave, her feet like a spiral, her command over every body part. How she flowed with the music excited him an exact match. He noticed she sang along to the song with Bumi, who was doing some flips trying to outshine her because he could not be upstaged. Mako and Saikan's go-to positions. Mako around the corner from where the bathroom would be and Saikan by the door to follow should Tarlok exit. The claps were loud on the beat, Bumi kept getting very close, but neither flinched when their noses skimmed. He flowed much like she until he spun her and drew her near as the song finished. Lin caught Tarloks eyes as she leaned by the door, hand on her cocked hips

"Well, that was fun. I think I'm going to freshen up in the lady's room." She made noted from the corner of her eye the target was listening; she put on the character like she had when she did undercover jobs.

" Good idea." Bumi follows Lin, who is starting to walk off. He put his arms around her. They left everyone else to wonder if that was staged or if they would do something scandalous over a toilet.

The krew watches as the target looks around, and the band returns to the stage, but he does not. He leaves the hall, being careful not to have anyone notice as people begin to talk amongst themselves. Raiko was starting to give a speech once again about the service of everyone who aided republic city during the Kuvira situation.

Saikan waited a few minutes before heading out. The Team avatar decided to wait for a few moments before following Saikan, realizing this was the plan to get Tarlok away from civilians.

Tarlok wasn't hurt. He just wanted to explain to her. He still cared for her, only ever getting to tell her once. He had been desperate to defend the city, but instead, he twisted it into precisely what was erroneous, blinded by the seeds of his father's hatred. He wanted to protect her, and it was always about not losing her like he lost his during his whole life. He was so foolishly worried about Tenzin, his envy over her hold in her life and how he stood between them. He spent four years figuring out what to say and removing from trying to end his life. He had sworn to never blood bend again, but he lost control, and that shame washed over him like a sinister tale. He stumbled down the hall following the sound of Lins's voice. He wasn't genuine part of him wished she wasn't entertaining the loud man.

Mako noticed the chief head into the bathroom with Bumi and Tarlok limped behind. He decided to strike from behind, knocking the man out. Saikan ran over, handcuffing Tarlok with team avatar behind them both.

" That was a relatively simple plan." Asami smiled, glad this wasn't such a pain.

" where did the other two go?" Kya said she hoped they didn't go to the bathroom.

"The bathroom," Mako told Kya.

"Let's get them the dynamic dancing duo," Su said, grinning.

Lin brought his face closer to Bumi, In seconds, her hands were cupping Bumi's face, and Lin's lips were on his. It was rushed at first, but she slowed, keeping at a pleasant even pace for him to quickly follow. She was passionate but not greedy, and then Bumi suddenly felt her tongue slip into his mouth. The breath escaped his lungs Lin lightly continued to kiss him, feeling a warm feeling as they parted, her lips still hovering over Bumi's. Lin had acted before the thought came into her head. The confusing emotions commanded her. Both breathing heavily, Lin wrapped her legs around his waist as she sat on the sink Bumi closed the gap between them with a kiss, eyes closed, tasting the drinks and smoke on her mouth, he deep the kiss. Bumi put his hands in Lin's hair, massaging her scalp as their kissing progressed more heated and enthusiastic. Her hands traveled his body. Bumi began kissing her neck. He lifted her surprisingly soft body he pressed her against a wall. She made a quiet noise as he admired her traps with his mouth. Neither heard the door open everyone entered the men's room to find them in that position. It wasn't until he had a throat clear. Bumi had moved Lin back onto the sink. His back protested making out in that position. Tenzin's face was flush with outrage as the others gathered. The air was awkward. Lin pulled out a cigarette noticing Tarrlok slumped in the corner.

" Good, you got him. I didn't even have to tell you guys the plan."Lin said, unwrapping her legs from Bumi's waist as she was unfolding the paper.

"Great job, team." Bumi decided it was his turn to speak. Lin crossed her legs and took a puff from her cigarette.

" They always said when your undercover, when in doubt, push your chest out. Who knew it would work so smoothly." Lin chucked dry.

"Alright, now let's get him to the station to interrogate him." Lin held a hand out. Bumi helped her down, and Su smirked at Bumi's face smeared with red lipstick. Lin walked passed them to Saikan and Mako, giving the orders. She returned to her usual character. She asked her sister for her shawl since they would be going to the station.

"Only if you dance with my girls one day, " Su said with lit-up eyes, unsure who her sister was anymore. If only she knew Lin didn't know either.

" I don't know how well I could do that stuff you do," Lin said, looking pensive

"Fine, but I want you to try" she handed her sister the shawl. She used it to cover up a bit more. Lin thought about how silly she would look before saying

"Besides my reputation's trash now, don't think it will matter," Lin whispered, checking her face in a small compact.

"I think you endeared them," Kya announced. She looked over at Tenzin, his resentment. It was dreadful since he left Lin. Tenzin looks at Bumi, who tries to walk off, feeling his sibling's scathing glare. He didn't mean for anything to happen but he felt relief that he had been dressed like a old monk.

"Time for some answers." Korra said, sobering up. Feeling relieved the plan is clear.
