8:00 PM

"Isn't it confusing when a person you don't like is so nice to you?"

"Kay, Lily! Bye! See ya around!" Len yells out happily as he and Rin push open the door out into the cold chilly atmosphere.

Behind them followed Luka and Miku, who were eating some leftover rice cakes and mochi, along with Kaito and Meiko who were chatting happily as they hit each other on the arms playfully. Matsuri was busy texting on her phone, switching conversations between Gumi, who was eating some gummy bears along with Fukase.

Len shivers and lets out a deep exhale. It was quite chilly for a summer night, he began to embrace himself, an attempt to warm himself up. "Ah, that was fun. Don't you think so, Rin-chan?" He says as he circles an arm around his sister's shoulders.

The small blonde female doesn't respond as she just stares at the ground, lifeless and empty.

"Uh-huh," Rin responds with a low, withering tone. His sister shrugs off his grip, pushing herself away from the small crowd, and struts towards the curved slope of the street. Her steps melted into one another. Len sighs in frustration, sparing Rin a worried and sympathetic expression. He wasn't completely sure why she was upset and depressed, he assumed that Matsuri might have done something to harm her.

The other reason could have been because he got locked in the crammed-up closet with Miku faded away in the darkness filled with tension, she must have thought the two made out or flirted or whatever.

The thought makes him flush red.

He didn't know whether he had feelings for her or not, he didn't want to come to terms with the fact that she was stealing his heart away like it was nothing. "...Nee, Len-kun," Miku giggles as she grasps his arm and tugs on it playfully, making him blush a lovely red. "Did you wanna go out for teriyaki?" She says shyly, pink creeping up her cheeks and throat. "O-only, if you want to, that is."

She hoped he would at least say yes, or postpone the time and date. Len's bright electric blue eyes widened a tiny bit, but then he smiled softly in return. "Sure." He smirks smugly. Miku grins sheepishly, her smile beaming brightly as it illuminated the dull expression of the streets. "Okay." She peeped shyly, before taking a glimpse of Rin sulking over the moon-showered sidewalks.

Her bright eyes were now washed away into a dull blue of heartbreak crashing her like she was a fragile piece of glass. Her hair was all drooped over her crystal eyelids, washing over them eerily like a waterfall with blonde streaks and strands of gold.

She looked dead. "...Hey, is your sister okay?" Miku asked the blonde boy beside her, worry written all over her face. "Oh, I don't know. She's been like that ever since we left." Len shrugged in response to the tealette's question. "Did something happen?" Miku asked with a soft tone, whispering enough so the blonde strutting in front of them wouldn't hear.

"...Well...Rin-chan told me that..." Len muttered under his breath, biting his lip nervously with tension. "Well, she's still upset about...Something that happened about a few days ago. It's about our parents." Miku stiffened, her mouth widened a tiny bit and her eyes grew big with surprise. "...I'm sorry." Miku muffles, "That sucks." Len shook his head, smiling softly. "Miku-chan, it's not your fault. Things just happen." Miku nodded in agreement, blushing shyly and smiling ever so softly.

The two continued walking for a while, the others talking behind them happily and joking around as they playfully hit each other.

But on the other hand, Rin heard their laughter fade through her mind. "Hey, Len-kun," Miku says, "Wanna go to the amusement park? You know, spend time together." She smiles shyly, fidgeting with her fingers nervously as she blushes.

Len's eyes grew wide with surprise and shock. "Like a...date?" He squeaked, reddening with embarrassment and slapping his mouth shut like he was scolding himself. Miku giggled, reddening. "..I-I mean, I guess you could call it th-that. But yeah." She smiles. Len cleared his throat violently, adjusting the hem of his sweater, fingers tingling. "Erm...I guess. It's not like I had anything to do anyway, aha." He mutters, voice low and delicate. "S-sure. Why not.."

Miku grinned widely, then shifted her eyes towards Rin's shallow figure. "Hey, let's invite your sister too! And Gumi! We can cheer her up." Miku spoke happily as she whipped her head back to Len's smug expression. "Uh, sure." Len shrugged, smirking confidently but there was a tinge of dissatisfaction in his eyes.

Man, I hoped it would just be us alone...

Len shrugged off the feeling before Miku ran up to Rin, her eyes gleaming with happiness and warmth as she softly poked her shoulder.

Rin flinched a bit, then she turned her heels around to face the tealette with a smile. "Ah, hey." Miku spoke softly, rocking her feet shyly. "Me and Len were wondering if you wanted to come with us to the amusement park. They have an event today. You seemed kinda...down today too, so..." Miku's sentence trailed off surprisingly.

Rin didn't reply to her, she was surprised that this girl was worried about her feelings and wanted to cheer her up.

But then, it could have been her brother's idea too.

"Alright, fine." She sighs in frustration. "Just don't bother me, okay?" Rin scoffs as she speaks in a stern tone before walking over to her brother.

Miku looked as if she was about to speak, but she retracted her hand.

"Hey, wait up!"

8:27 PM

Bright lights bounced in the air full of colors and screams of laughter and happiness.

Full of glee and joy.

Miku laughed happily as she ran off across the lit roads, spinning around with joy and excitement. Gumi continued eating her gummy bears before realizing she had ran out of the delectable treat.

Rin sulked from beside Len. He ruffled her hair in response then smirked playfully as she grumbled. "Come on, Rin. Cheer up." He sighed in exhaustion, circling his arm around his sister as he gently stroked her shoulder, an attempt to ease her. "We came here to cheer you up, not to see you mope," Len said as he punched her shoulder gently in a playful manner. "Whatever. You didn't have to come and cheer me up with some stupid amusement park trip. That's the worst idea you ever had. You're so stupid!" She yelled as she nastily shrugged out of his grip, huffing, and puffing.

Usually, he would yell right back at her, but he looked offended and hurt. "It wasn't even my idea. Geez, why are you so mean to me?" He muttered under his breath, before strutting forward to meet Miku as he bumped his shoulder with Rin's.

It wasn't his idea?

Then...

It was Miku's?

Rin felt an ocean of guilt engulf her thin body, she didn't mean to say those hurtful comments. She didn't understand why she hated this girl so much, it bothered her so badly it drove her insane.

Rin strutted off to meet Len and Miku, surprisingly, Miku was eating a fluffy ball of pink cotton candy. "Yumm!" Miku grinned happily as she chewed the pink fluffy consistency. Len smiles with satisfaction as Rin sulked down with annoyance. "Uh...how much was the cotton candy, Miku?" The blonde girl spoke quietly with hesitation.

Miku hummed, "About ¥1,049.41." [$10] The tealette replied between chews. Rin stayed quiet. "Len!" She hisses as she pulls her brother's ear, he protests with winces but she doesn't listen. "What the heck!? We're gonna waste money if you keep spending it on her!" Rin whispered sternly to her brother. "What the fu- Okay, first let me go, you idiot." Len snarled quietly to the small female, she abruptly let go of him as he caressed his ear in response to the painful sensation. "Second, I didn't buy it, you jerk. She bought it herself!" Len hisses. "God..."

Rin felt completely dumb. "Sheesh, why do you always assume I'm buying stuff? Especially for a girl." Len sighs. Rin grumbled under her breath, "Well, you like her, don't you?" She gags at the words. Len reddened with embarrassment and shyness in return, hiding his reaction inside his white hoodie as he let the cloth swallow him whole.

"Let's go." He muffles through the sweater. Rin groaned in annoyance, "Ugh, come on! You're gonna trip if you keep hiding your damn face inside your hoodie! Dummy." She grumbles, pulling off his hood. "Oi!"

Len and Rin argued abruptly as they ran after Miku, who was surprisingly hugging a pink plush bunny that looked extremely creepy. "Hey, if you guys keep fighting you guys are gonna have a bad time." Gumi threatens quietly, breaking apart the twins as she smiles eerily. Rin and Len swallowed nervously as they pulled back, stuffing their hands inside their pockets. "Yeah, yeah, whatever." Len mumbles, a bit scared.

"Whoa! We should go to that one!" The tealette points her perfectly manicured finger to a bright, colorful Ferris wheel, its spinning was hypnotizing and mysterious.

Rin swallowed a lump of fear, then frantically shook her head with resentment. Her whole heart skipped down her throat and she felt it falling to the ground so effortlessly.

She felt her soul leave her lifeless shell, its misty air vaporizing in the atmosphere.

"No, no way I'm going on that...thing. It's too...scary and it's so high up.." The blonde girl mumbled relentlessly under her breath, fidgeting with her sleeves.

Len and Miku just stared at her blankly, before they burst into satisfied laughter, then smiled in return. Len walked up to Rin and ruffled his sister's hair, in which she snarled at him like a dinosaur and then growled like a helpless puppy. "It's fine, you can just wait outside here with Gumi, right Miku-chan?" He asked the girl beside him, to which she hesitated, but nodded in response. "Um, yeah. I guess so." Miku muffles.

The teal-haired girl stepped forward to face Rin and Gumi, and with a sweet smile, she placed some yen onto the surface of their palms. "Ooh! Thanks, Miku-chan! Hang on, I'll go buy some more gummy bears." Gumi says before running off.

Rin blinked.

Miku faced the blonde female and then grinned, "You can buy something to eat if you'd like, or you can go on a ride. Whatever you want to make yourself comfortable." She smiled warmly, bowing before facing Len.

"See ya, sis!" Len yelled out before he and Miku raced to the enormous Ferris wheel that burst colorful mysteries and fortune.

I can't believe this.

Rin stared at the money in her hand, then grumbled under her breath as she fisted the currency and stuffed it inside her pocket.

She decided to stroll over to a lollipop shop and buy a few candies, chocolate specifically. "Hi, I'd like to buy a...couple of...chocolates...please," Rin says casually as she faces the employee. Her eyes widened a bit. He had the softest shade of cyan caked in his hair, which perfectly matched with his doe bright eyes.

He looked a lot like Miku, strangely.

Rin reddened with embarrassment, "Ah..um..sorry." She peeped, her ears and throat were practically redder than the chocolate wrap. The cyan-haired boy smiles, snickering underneath his warm welcoming grin. "It's fine, I get stares from girls all the time." The boy smirks flirtatiously at Rin and threw a playful wink at her. Rin quietly scoffed, sneering and grumbling underneath inaudible words.

So, he's a playboy...?

"Okay, just give me a chocolate or whatever." The female reddened, swallowing nervously and biting her bottom lip. She didn't understand why she was acting this way, flustered and timid. The male smiled softly, "Got it!" He sings, "Hey, Teto, you got the box of candy over there?" He says, "Yeah, there should be some over here." A redhead female with pigtails comes out of the corner. There were some sounds of shuffling, some more, and then he brought a giant pink box filled with candies and other delectable goodies.

He sighs in exhortation, blowing a strand of his teal locks away from his eyes as he ran a hand through his fluffy bangs that were stranded with beads of sweat.

Oh, God.

It's exhilarating.

He sighs, "Okay, chocolates right?" The teen sifts through the candy and chip packages in hopes of finding the sweet treat that his customer badly desires. Rin nods. "Okay, here ya go!" The boy grins brightly, handing her chocolate hugged in a bright red wrapper.

Rin smiles warmly in response. "Thanks, how much will that be?" The boy snickers mischievously, leaning his weight against the poppy stand. "Well, for a regular customer, it would be ¥529.32." ($5) He smirks, then smiles softly and warmly that made her heart melt all over as if she were chocolate in the steaming sun.

Crystal-clear water flows over rocks, birds soar through fluffy white clouds, and sunlight reflects on the surface of water, sparkling and smiling and dancing hello in greeting. "But you're a cute girl, so I'll make it free." He giggles as the small female reddens, hiding her reaction in her hoodie. "Ah..um..okay." She says quietly, "Thanks, and see ya." Rin grumbled under her breath.

Rin runs off, and little does she know, that sneaky playboy stuck his phone number inside the candy wrapper.

9:00 PM

Miku gaped, her jaw-dropping as she saw the bright lights soaring in the tranquil night.

"Wow! It's so pretty!"

They were flying, soaring like birds through the ocean of darkness and the dim lights of the amusement park were streetlights guiding them in their direction. Beside her, Len smiled softly as he nodded his head in agreement, dreamily looking up at the pregnant moon that was illuminating the streets with its rays.

"I wonder where Rin-chan went, I can't spot her anywhere. Neither Gumi." Len mumbles, curiosity lingering in his eyes as he tried to find his sister, it was a game of cat and mouse. He couldn't find her small figure anywhere, not to mention that she wasn't very tall either.

Miku faced Len, who had a palm hovered over his forehead. She gaped a little to speak, but she retracted back, almost scolding herself.

"...Hey, uhm...Len-kun," Miku hesitates, biting her bottom lip nervously. "Yeah?" Len says, a gentle smile on his face.

"...Why has Rin been so upset lately?"
