"Jealousy is a disease."

"Why has Rin been so upset lately?"

Len froze.

"Ah, um..." he hesitates, ruffling his blonde hair as he then sighed in frustration. "Well...about two weeks ago, my parents...they...got divorced." He sighed in frustration as he bit his bottom lip. "Yeah." Miku gazed at the floor, upset. "Oh...I see. I'm sorry to hear that. I hope your sister feels better." She says with a sympathetic look on her face, smiling politely and gently. "It..I don't really know what to say, sorry."

"Pfft, it's fine." Len smiles in return. "Thanks, Miku-chan." He smiles, inching closer towards the tealette as they both gazed at the stars, before realizing the ride had been over. The two got off the Ferris Wheel and thanked the employee, who had white hair and purple locks. "You're welcome, have a nice day." She says as she blows a piece of bright bubblegum, but then it abruptly slammed in her face, and surprisingly, the couple hadn't even noticed.

"Where should we go next?" Miku says, smiling brightly and beaming like a flower that had risen from the heavens. "Oh, let's look for Rin-chan and Gumi first. I'm sure they're around here somewhere.." Len says as he scans the amusement park, before catching his gaze on Rin and Gumi. They were eating chocolate and sitting on a white bench.

"Oh, there they are." He sighed before running up to them with Miku following behind. "Where were you two?" Rin grumbled. "Gumi went to buy some more gummy bears and I went to buy some chocolate," she replies.

But before she could mention the guy that looked like Miku, something told her not to say anything.

Just keep your mouth shut. It's better off being shut anyway.

"Oh, alright. Where should we go next?" Len asks, "Let's go win some plushies! I want more," Miku giggles as she takes his hand, making him flinch and redden with embarrassment. Rin clenched the edge of her gray sleeve, blood boiling with anger. Gumi noticed her actions and was about to say something but she got interrupted by Len. "O-okay, let's go then. You guys coming?"

Gumi stood quiet, "A-ah! Um..." She hesitates, "We'll catch up." She smiled warmly and gently as Miku and Len waved goodbye before running off. "Wanna sit down for a bit, Rin?" She says quietly as she sat down on the bench, patting a hand beside her hip. "I guess so." She sighs.

Rin flopped her body on the bench, then sighed in frustration and resentment, before shuffling a hand inside her pocket.

Nah, not now.

"You okay?" Gumi asked shyly. "Yeah," Rin replied, sneering and muttering under her breath. "I just...I don't know. I don't trust that girl, I have this aching feeling in my chest and I can't even identify what it is." She groans in annoyance before sighing loudly.

Gumi thought for a moment, but then it hit her. "You're jealous." She said casually, making Rin freeze.

...Me? Jealous of...HER?

Rin laughed nervously, "W-what? Why would I be jealous of her?-"

"It makes sense." Gumi interrupted her sentence. "You keep glaring at her for no reason, almost like you hate her, and well, I can tell that you want what she has." She peeped.

Dang, Gumi. You're such a smartass. "Why the hell would I want what a freaking alien has? Besides, I barely know her! Why would I be envious of her?!" She exclaimed, eyes fuming with anger and remorse. Gumi shrugged. "I dunno. You could be jealous of her later, you know. Just saying."

Rin slumped in her seat, utterly defeated. Why should she be jealous of some random girl her brother had a crush on? Why should she of all people choose an alien to be jealous of?

Rin stared at Miku, who was laughing happily with Len who congratulated her as she won a prize, a giant panda bear to be exact.

She looks...so happy.

But it all made sense now.

A pretty girl, with outstanding academic grades, a supportive sibling, popularity, intense happiness, a high school soon-to-be boyfriend, and...

A loving family.

Yet, when compared to Rin...she was nothing.

She was just an old worthless piece of trash, that was slumped over gray obsolete pebbles of broken rocks. River barely flows through the edges of the broken cracks. Nothing could fix them, and nothing ever will. "But Rin, even if you are jealous," Gumi interrupted her sentence, finishing the remainder of her colorful bright gummy bears. "Don't be. Because..."

"She could be just as broken as much as you are."

Rin froze.

"What the hell did you just-"

"Anyway, let's go. We've kept them waiting long enough. Come on! Cheer up, everything's gonna be fine." Gumi said with a warm happy smile before walking towards Miku and Len, who were competing against one another as they tried to get the last prize of the stand. Rin gazed at Miku, who was focused on only winning the prize. After finding out that Len had beaten her, she sighed but then congratulated him with a happy smile.

Broken..?

Broken my ass.

Rin sneers as she throws away Gumi's empty plastic gummy bear bag before she walks up to the gang, and grabs Len's prize.

A banana plushie.

"Thanks for the present, bro." She smiled mockingly before running off with the banana as Len chased her. "HEY! GIVE IT BACK! THAT'S MINE! RIN-CHAN!" He yelled out as Gumi and Miku laughed uncontrollably in the background.

After about a good ten minutes, Len finally got his banana plushie as a reward for chasing Rin around the park. He had pinned her down on the grass and tickled her until she couldn't stop laughing and got his banana plushie back.

"Ahaha! What the heck, Len!" Rin laughed in response uncontrollably, she was crying now, she couldn't stop laughing. Len stuck out his tongue and giggled playfully as he helped his sister up, then pushed her down on the grass again before tickling her. "Stop it!" Rin shoved him between laughter, and the two of them were laying on the grass on their backs, staring at the night sky. "Jeez, I haven't laughed like that since...forever." she chuckled, wiping her eyes. "Good. I wanted to cheer you up, you dummy." He sighed and laughed, then sighed again.

"Shut up," Rin responded with a stern tone, but then instantly laughed again before sitting up. Gumi and Miku caught up to them, speechless. "You guys aren't tired?" Miku asked, worried. "Nah." Len replies as he sits up, "We should go now. It's late." The twins stood up as they stretched, before heading out of the amusement park with Gumi and Miku.

They continued talking and laughing while hugging and holding their prizes, (plushies to be exact) and after about a couple of minutes, Miku dragged Len out of Gumi and Rin's conversation.

"Ah-" Miku shushed him, letting Gumi and Rin go a bit farther than them. "I um...I want to take a detour. Want to go to the park?" Miku says shyly, blushing furiously. Len hesitates, "Sure. I'll just text Rin." He says before taking out his cellphone and typing on the screen, the light illuminated his pale face.

Rin-chan

I'm going to the park
with Miku, tell Gumi please.

Oh, okay. See ya.

10:12 PM [Sakuma Park]

"Ah, that was fun!" Miku says as she giggled happily while hugging her pink bunny. "Yeah," Len replies, smiling shyly yet warmly before the two sit down on a bench. It was quiet for a while, the two of them gazed at the stars, and a tender pregnant moon shone on the streets.

The atmosphere was...oddly romantic.

"Why'd you bring me here?" He giggles, smirking. "Oh, I...I wanted to tell you something." Miku muffles, twirling a section of her turquoise locks with her slender fingers. Len froze and blushed furiously as well. "Wh-what is i-it..?" He whispered, reddening as his heart throbbed in his eardrums, repeating over and over again.

Miku swallowed hard, and sighed in exhaustion.

Ba-dump, ba-dump..

...

"I like your hair!" Miku blurts out abruptly, her heart throbbing uncontrollably in her ears.

Erm...huh?

"..What..?" Len was utterly confused, and he didn't know how to react.

Surely...She didn't mean...

"Y-yeah, I in fact really like your hair! It's...really fluffy, aha...!" Miku laughed nervously, her face crimsoning every second. She couldn't believe she said that right now, and the thought of her confessing to him made her stomach churn with fluttering butterflies. "Y-yeah, hair..."

Len stood quiet for a moment and took this chance to tell her his true feelings. But then...he hesitated. Was he taking this too fast, or too slow? Heck, how long should you even wait until telling someone your true feelings..? They only met a couple of...weeks ago, but still... Len sighed in frustration as his face reddened with embarrassment. He might as well just tell her how he really feels about her, it's now or never.

As Miku continued to ramble on about his hair, he sighed heavily before taking both of her wrists abruptly.

"Miku." He says in a serious tone, interlocking his fingers with hers as he traced circles around her warm skin.

Miku blinked with shock, and then looked at his hands, then looked back at his slender thin face. She couldn't help but lose herself in his electric blue eyes. They were really beautiful, the shade of them resembled the beautiful skies she would see back in her hometown when she was younger.

Len swallowed nervously as he stared at her, then sighed.

"I like you."
