"Walk with me, please," Tenzin said. Lin stood up, looking over to Kya and Izumi assuringly. Kya reminds Lin that after Izumi's meeting about the inevitable attack on the Fire Nation, they would hang out in the Fire Lord's onsen. Lin promises she will return to them as soon as this is over.
Tenzin leads the walk, and the silence felt never-ending. The sky was light yellows with Payne's grey clouds. In the distance, the sound of seagull hawks chirp. Tenzin was mulling over how to start this conversation. Before he knew it, Lin was crouching down to off her shoes because they had reached the beach. She seemed at ease connected to the earth. He remembered the last time they went to a beach. She told him she was pregnant, and it stuck for a few months when she told him it was sunny when she gave him that news. She had so many miscarriages at that point. He decides to make his attempt to talk to her to let go of that pain.
"I've been meaning to talk to you, but I will be honest, I don't know where to start. I am, so. I am worried about you, Lin. This has been long overdue, but I need to apologize for my part in our breakup. I know you have had a lot of turmoil lately, but I wanted to know. Er, well, why."
"Why what tenzin, theirs a lot of whys between us." Lin raises an eyebrow. He was babbling to her. He had crammed five thoughts into one question. She dug her toes into the sand. It was so warm she would have enjoyed it if tenzin wasn't there, maybe even joking about how she was warming her feet.
"Why didn't you tell me. About anything going on in your life. I feel like I don't even think I know you back then," Tenzin started, he knew he was supposed to be apologizing, but he still felt slighted by all of Lin's secrecy. He saw a shell Ikki might like. He decided to pick it up, not to face Lin.
"It, complicated Tenzin, but it didn't have anything to do with you, I just couldn't be me. We both had a legacy on our backs. We couldn't be who we wanted, and I tried killing that side of me. It was easier with you, but you couldn't know me either." Lin looked over at Tenzin and then back at sea. A storm would come in a few days. For now, she just watched the waves push and pull. The soft lull eased her nerves.
"Why didn't you tell me how bad it was getting with your mother?" Tenzin looked to where she was looking, she was focused on the water, but he noted a few birds. He wished he had something to offer the tiny creatures.
"Nobody could do anything about it, not like anyone could call the authorities besides Katara tried, and then I would have to tell you what happened that year you were gone." Lin hated it. She hated how she always managed to be lost without him. It just wasn't a Beifong thing.
"When did you get back with Zolt, and your arms and the infection on your wrists are they better? Why do that to yourself? Kya said your body is too weak to defend itself, so you are so prone to infections" He noted Lin probably picked at her scabs. They were unsightly yellows and reds all around her arms. Lin looked down and felt ashamed had they all seen what she had done. She wished Kya had given her glove back earlier.
"Not back together. It was a moment of, and I could never seriously date him, just the rules. I just, messed up and dragged him into my mess. I have to apologize." Lin didn't dare look at Tenzin. Now she had to look insane, and Lin sure felt like she was. She thought to herself, spitting up everything inside.
"You know, I cried when we were being intimate. It just was all so stupid and over my head. I realized I am just a nobody that Ijust couldn't be right. I might just be broken, maybe unfixable, dirty. I'm not good enough for anyone. I definitely was not good enough for you or my mother or Su. I kept trying like a fool, desperate I couldn't even carry a child." Tenzin opened his mouth, but he realized, she was letting it all out after so many years. He just watched her talk, the air coming out more frantic he hoped she felt better after, but he wished she didn't feel like that because of him.
Lin resumes speaking, "I don't even enjoy being with anyone or doing anything. I'm barely there. I just don't know what else to do with this empty feeling. I-just want to disappear." She said darkly finally admitted it to herself, she wants to die more and more by the second but she couldn't be weak.
Tenzin watched her inhale. Her eyes looked like intense water. "I don't think that. I don't want you to disappear either." He took her hand, he rain his hand over hers. Lin looked at her arms again feeling stupid and immature.
"You don't understand how hard it was for me, Lin, and I don't want you to feel that way. I'm sorry I caused you to feel that way." Tenzin peeked at Lin. He recalled the tension they had for a few years, the many miscarried, and how Lin said she couldn't be a mother because she was scared to fail like with Su. She never admitted that to be the reason, but Tenzin just knew.
"It was hard for me too. I was so happy for you when Jinora was born, but I was miserable because you wanted our kid to be named Jinora if it was a girl or Meelo, if it was a boy. You don't know how it felt to be alone, losing the life you knew in a second. The only one, I had really." Lin remembered when she first got home when they let her out of interrogation after they found her in a dumpster. All she wanted was Tenzin. To hold and to be next to, to feel safe and familiar.
" Knowing you would leave me like my mother and Su had when the miscarriage happened, but I knew you had to let go, was hard. I knew though you have responsibilities greater than me and my happiness." Lin stared down at the damp grain and the water on her soles. She listens to the earth and the waves the vibrations of all the things living on this beach.
"You know, it was lonely for me without you. I even tried to fill my loneliness with things I wasn't supposed to. I felt like I already felt like I failed as a decent human being and an Air Nomad. I wish I never said the things I said when we fought, especially now," he softly strokes Lin's face with his finger. He then asks, "are you going to get help?" his tone is pleading. He suggested this so many was always something wrong, but only now as she was open enough to talk.
"Well, if I don't, I'll be doomed to seek love like what I thought we had and eventually die." Lin attempted to jest, but it was all so bleak.
"Don't say that. Any of that, and I still-I know it's wrong-" he leans in he put his lips over Lins like a warm blanket on a cold night. He pulls away for a moment to say, "I had to leave, or I would never have been strong enough to leave." He leans in, planting another kiss. Lin returned the kiss, but only for a moment. She eventually feels the blow like a ton of bricks landing on her because this is dangerous as she wants it. Lin pulls away, staring at Tenzin's pale grey-blue eyes.
"I love you, Lin."
Su watches hidden in the distance as Tenzin and Lin walk on the beach. They were talking. She gasps when Tenzin kisses Lin twice, and she scowls. She felt an overwhelming urge to bend at them both, she watched her sister stop him, and she sighed all things her sister seemed to be. She wasn't that low. She watches them talk
"What are you are doing, Tenzin? You have a wife. Four children, you can't do that." Lin felt ashamed she kissed back. She took a few steps back.
" Married men were not an issue to be before," Tenzin sighed, seeing her move away, knowing he had just done something wrong.
" It's like you didn't hear what I just said," Lin sighs and adds, "Raiko said they were breaking up. He never did. I made a mistake. You can't do that to your kids. They need their dad."
Tenzin looks at Lin. Her coldness with those words make him realize Lin not having a dad still close to her.
" I'm sorry, Lin, and I'm sorry for being so selfish and hurting you. I want to be here for you."
Lin gives in to a moment of weakness. She embraces Tenzin and asks something she knew she shouldn't, he wasn't hers anymore.
" If you knew what you knew now, would you have stayed? I know you didn't have a choice, just like I knew you couldn't get into the spiritual world because you were bounded to earth like your dad." Tenzin got red. He never knew that Lin was aware of that or that anyone would tell her this; Lin continued
"It wasn't your fault. Just was the hand you were dealt." Tenzin sighs and confesses to her.
" I don't know, and I don't think I should think about it, but I wish it worked out. I love you, Lin."
"Hmph," Lin grunts a bit. Tenzin was holding Lin now.
"I don't think I ever stopped loving you because, for the longest time when I thought about it, our intimacy was the only romantic love I knew." Tenzin puts a hand on Lins's unstyled hair.
"Yeah, that part of me feels emptier than ever. I wonder if it would ever be whole?"
" It would if you just got help or found the right person," Tenzin assures
"I'm whore, an obsolete one trying to find something I never had and never would. It just was how I was fated to be wasn't good enough for you, even now was just born that way." Lin shakes a little
" that simply isn't true; besides you control your destiny. Uncle Iroh said it so you know I'm right on this."
"It was proven when I was assaulted as a child, and the only adult I had didn't care." Lin bites her lip, " I don't know what you saw in me, really?"
Tenzin groans," you didn't listen to me. You need help." He thinks back to walking in with a few people. Lin is strung out, lying on a bed, slowly passing out until she realizes she may have gotten Zolt into trouble. Tenzin wondered how to kill the feelings she had while also keeping her safe. He never felt so powerless, her mother
wouldn't help, and tenzin felt it all boiled down to that. Lin looked up at the rain and shivered again, remembering losing her bending. The water being poured over her face. Feeling like she was going to drown and her nose, throat lungs screamed for air.
"I, it's not going to help." Lin didn't pull away, but she replayed that night again scratching her arms, she was starting to panic.. Tenzin decided to lead her indoors as she no longer could focus on anything but whatever she was thinking about, he made sure to hold her maybe that would bring her back to her body.
Su follows from a safe distance, wondering how she will talk to her sister and how angry she feels. How Lin had the audacity to attack her in Zaofu when she was doing whatever she pleased, sleeping around, hanging out with criminals, and doing illicit drugs. All the years being hounded for not being in school and her lifestyle for Lin to do the same behind her back then act superior. She had half a mind to attack her now for being so cozy with another married man who is also a father in Tenzin's case. The rain started to hit harder it was pounding on the sand as Su followed stealthily, knowing Lin she would be in bed with Tenzin
soon. She had to confront her. She had to let her know she saw through her lies. She almost feels glad her mother knocked her down a peg. She didn't need to understand what missing portions of their youths were anymore.
When they got back to the palace, it had cooled drastically, and the rain pound on the grounds
In the background, the loud yells of sibling strife fill the air. Pema was in the background, trying
to cool down a fight between their children.
" We can talk more later. I think my kids are fighting." Tenzin said. He put a warm hand on her cold face. He looked into her weary eyes one last time before he left. Lin nods, not having the
energy to say anything. Lin was ashamed of how her eyes followed him. She watched him go in
his skin-tight clothes. She heads to a bathroom, locking the door. She ties her hair back and gets
on her knees. She mutters an apology to Kya before purging , Everything she was fed. It took a while to get it all out there was blood and it was the most painful thing. It put her in a safe trance, she was alive enough to feel pain. She felt a familiar head spin as she stood to washed her face and hands. She moved slowly like she was in a daze. When she finally exited, an hour had color on her face.
Su stood at the entrance, and she was irate.
"I need to talk to you now," Su ordered.
Lin shook her head, her throat burning. She was tired of talking she went to grab water. Su pursued her reaction to this rejection, getting her more heated.
"You kissed him knowing he's married. And you had the nerve to judge me, Lin."
Lin froze. She turned to face her sister.
"I wasn't judging you. I was trying to keep you out of danger," Lin's voice was hoarse.
" Yeah, I was being cared for, left on the island while you partied. You judged me for my friends and not wanting to go to school when mom wouldn't care anyway. You painted yourself out to be better than me, but you are an alcoholic, shooting opium and doing other drugs with a criminal." Su judged, giving her a contemptuous look.
" I left you there so you would have some normalcy so that you wouldn't get stuck cleaning up after our mother. Hoping she didn't choke on her vomit and expose you to how little she gave a dam about us. Those friends of yours grew up, and they trafficked women like you.I couldn't run away with you. Toph would find us, but I couldn't risk leaving you. I did what I thought would keep her happy to keep you safe." Lin rasped she couldn't do this. Not at this moment.
"No, you just wanted to control me," Su argued.
"No, I didn't want you to have to find how bad things end up on the streets, that those friends of yours would lure you into a trap because you were Toph's daughter. So you didn't have to figure out how horrible it felt to be unsure and alone, and the only things around were drugs and other horrible people. Being on the streets isn't what I wanted for you. I wanted you to have a real-life. To be who you wanted to be." Lin attempted to level with her younger sister. To think she spent most of her early life caring for her, but she seemed to give that credit to their mother.
"Mom would help. She wanted me to be who I wanted to be but she wasn't a hypothetical bitch like you. You're painting her out worst than she is. Our mom is a hero, Lin. You are such a hateful and selfish person. Surely the drugs got into your brain. I want to know why you kissed back. Right now, why are you such a whore." Su got defensive. She hated Lin and acted like she knew their mother. Like Lin could see the light in anyone, like she wasn't a terrible person.
Lin glares at su, shaking with anger, dismissing her like their mother.
" This talk is over" Lin stomps off to find Kya and Izumi. Their mother also tried to flag down Lin, but she didn't engage. Lin spots blue in a sea of red by the Fire Lords throne room, and Lin quickly heads over to Kya. Lin quietly embraces her refusing to speak, so Kya tries to talk to her idle while they wait for Izumi to leave a meeting. She had hoped for some alone time with the fire lord but she couldn't turn away Lin shaking how she was.
-
Kya held on to her friend as they exited the onsen with Izumi. She recalled only moments ago. They managed to get Lin to spill what happened with Tenzin and Su. Being very fond of Lin, they decided to cheer her up, but it was cut short when Asami and Korra ran into the Fire Lords' private onsen. Asami made sure to keep her eyes out of the water, unlike a very curious Korra. Asami told them it was an emergency and that they would wait outside for them, pulling her not stealthy girlfriend back outside where the others waited. Kya and Izumi hopped out of the hot rejuvenating waters and found their clothes, admiring each other's bodies for a split second, not knowing where they would have more time between the two of them only. Lin decided to go out there and face everyone, so she hopped in the water and found her clothes. How quickly she fell into her Beifong attitude, she rested her hands behind her back, standing straight. The three of them had flushed faces, and Kya looked stunning in her loose clothes that showed off her soft midriff and curvy hips, something Izumi had to remind herself not to focus on when acting out her Fire Lord duties.
" Okay, everyone's here," Korra said, trying not to be flustered that she oggled three 50-plus naked women and realized that she had a lot to look forward to if she and Asami looked like that in thirty years.
"So recognizance turned out some interesting results," Mako said sternly, unaware of Korra goofing off.
"So, Yuu never did cross paths with Toph, but it seems he is the dark avatar. he doesn't have much control over anything, but Tarrlok was right. He is tyrannical and seems to be a big problem, most likely because of Vatuu." Mako said factually
"Yeah, and we were right to come here, one of those people where fire nation they say they have claim over the throne. Their name was Aoi. They were terrifying. Something about their energy seemed familiar, like somebody we should know." Korra said this ordeal was giving her more and more anxiety. She was concerned about a systematic attack on a world scale.
"Azula?" Izumi looked at her dad. She didn't want to deal with this again.
"It could be, but she still sends taunting letters to me. I guess I should have taken them more seriously."
"Are you kidding me, Zuko" Katara scolds.
" After more than fifty years of the same kind of letters postmarked worldwide, you stop paying much mind to the contents. It might as well be a holiday card," Zuko said slightly defensively.
"Well, to bad she didn't let you know she had a kid, if she did." Katara began to stress.
"This is getting worst and worst, why did we trust these kids had a handle on this" Toph growled.
"Well no offense but Lord Zuko wasn't making it clear Azula was even around and you didn't notice somebody suddenly getting dark avatar powers when you can see everything allegedly."Mako said hostile, he no longer respected Toph.
"Anything on Saruk?" Chief Tonroq said, ignoring the elder's discussion.
" His ties were to Zaheer something about justice for his mother. I hope Amon doesn't secretly have an Equalist agent," Bolin said. He was holding Opal.
"Whats gives did everyone procreate in secret for a sneak attack." Eska said blandly.
They all look to Tarrlok, "No, but Amon trusts no one. He always was an enigma."
"A likely story." Mako and Korra both said in unison. Tarrlok groaned; this was tiring to him, their never-ending suspicion. He planned to vanish as soon as this was all settled. There was nothing left for him after this was over. His only chance was to find the mother of faces, maybe. Even then, he didn't think it would work.
"What would I possibly get from that?" Tarrlok started before getting cut off.
"So Saruk had a parent that was Red Lotus, most likely Ming-Hua?"
"Mother said Father had an affair early in their marriage, if that's the case that's two people trying to take a stake at the throne." Densa said flatly.
"Pehaps it's tied to that New Order thing I saw floating about." Eska said
Tonroq drank in that information with fear, not only are old movements combining new ones are joining around this dark avatar. "Its unsettling they all have ties to the people in this room, distant relatives."
Lin made a face, she realized worried if some one distantly related to Su wouldn't come after her or worst, her children. She didn't want them being hurt she wanted them all to be safe.
" We would just ambush them and get it over with," Bolin said not grasping the danger piling on.
"Yeah, we wouldn't want another attack like Republic city, right, Chief Beifong." Su goaded.
"Leave her alone," Tarrlok hissed in Su's direction. He supposed their reconciliation was short-lived, but he wouldn't allow Su to goad. Tenzin glared at Tarrlok.
" Then we won't know their plan, Red Lotus don't talk, and nobody ever got close enough to an Equalist." Toph finally said.
"They could free Kuveria, but I don't think Zarheer would work with her, they may have another metal bender" Korra said
"I wonder if we will get a family visit," Zuko said. He felt too old for this nonsense.
Lin looked over at Tarlok, a part of her wanted to trust he gave them all the information, but she didn't count. Something reeked in the air. Maybe it was a traitor. Somebody knew something more them they were letting on. Or perhaps they really were unsure of what was going on. But one thing was sure, Korra felt it too. It wasn't lost on Lin or Mako that this super group could easily launch synchronized attacks.
" the good thing was a group that big would be easier to handle individually it was hard to keep something that big in order, and their would-be conflicting beliefs, inevitable. It also would be easier to send somebody to check it out without one of them ever knowing"Lin said
" It's all about power and someone will eventually get greedy, we just have to figure out who is on top and destroy it once and for all." Mako said
When they looked around the room they noted it was off somebody was missing.
"Where is Bumi?" Lin realized why she felt off. Everyone looked around and realized nobody remembered when he was last seen.
—-
Zolt drank the view of her dancing to the song her freedom. He decided to join her instead of watching like some kids. A part of him wondered if it was because they could be some of their parents; a part of him knew it was an impressed look. He wondered if it was one of her personalities again. He never knew who was going to show up. The music was blaring threw the walls. Lin felt her head spinning. She may have taken too much, or maybe it was a leap in her memory. She last recalled speaking to Katara. She couldn't remember, but she had to. She felt a pair of hands on her body. It was so sticky and hot. So loud. Their breaths were on each other. She looked into a pair of amber eyes. A mouth was moving, but words would not register.
"I never know which girl is going to show up. Kind of scary." She finally heard. She continued dancing. She didn't notice the eyes on her while she had fun, the eyes of the people she was supposed to be helping.
"Me either," She admitted. " I don't remember most of my days, especially now; sometimes it scares me. No idea what I say or do for like forty-five percent of the day." Lin looked at him thoughtfully before laughing like a madwoman. She joked about her insanity as if it were nothing.
"Soon, my name will be associated with crazy woman, a befitting legacy. At least it will all be over soon," Lin says lightly.
Zolt stops dancing. He decides to take her drink. " I think you had enough then. If that's the case, that isn't good, Lin. You need help." Lin didn't stop following the music like she was surfing, flowing with waves. The gang watches with worry, two look on with envy but mostly worry.
Waves
she needed to be by the water, the sea, but then she remembered.
Lin laughs off and says, "it's fine for now. We got a commander to find." She stopped dancing. She was suddenly keen on something, focused, determined. She remembered Bumi. They had to find him.
"What?" He shouts over the music.
"Zolt babe, we gotta go," Lin shouts back. Taking his hand
"Your friends are here." He notices everyone standing there watching them. He remembers the last time and feels embarrassed.
"Forget them; let's go," Lin said harshly, remembering she was mad at them.
"Where do you think you're going," Kya says, slightly angry.
"To find Bumi," She earth bends them out her way. They had attempted to circle her.
"Are you high?" She heard Toph ask. She sounded worried.
"I plead the fifth fan. Trust me. I think I know where he is," Lin kept her pace. Her walls were high. They follow her and Zolt
" I assume your idea failed like I said it would." Lin finally said smugly. Her laugh at their silence was so satisfying.
Lin decides to share her thoughts with Zolt and the others.
" ancient airbenders did flake and lilyweed during ceremonies, they smoked chewed or made teas and lit traditional incense, to connect to the spirits and honor them back when they lived lion turtles. When they were lost, they used it to find their way home by connecting to their spiritual energy. They were the only ones who kept those texts that far back. Well, it was translated from the old scripts anyways ."
" How do you even know that, Lin?" Tenzin asks
"The same place Zaheer got the writings of Guru Lahima, Airbender Texts from your study." she casually mentions a book he never took back after she wrecked air temple island.
"Crap, that's where it went!" Tenzin says, his mouth hanging open a bit.
"It's mine now unless you want to buy it off me or wait till I die. It will be donated to its temple of origin. It probably is faster to wait for me to die." Lin was laughing again, a joking tone in her voice at the end,
"Lin, that isn't funny," Su says, worried. She remembers the night before her mother and herself overhearing Lin talk to Katara and the lecture they received after Toph exploded. She said Lin would die soon if they didn't push aside their issues and help her.
" Whatever," Lin waves a hand dismissively, then says, " I think I know where Bumi is! I can feel him and bumju!"
"I feel something, but it ain't no bumju, Baijo maybe." zolt says, joking. Lin snorts.
"How are you so sure, hm," Tenzin asks, feeling envious. Wondering if last night was nothing to her, he cheated on his wife. He held her as they talked for hours. It was like they never split up.
"I read it in a book. If I'm wrong, you can say what you want" Lin felt Tenzins enraged breath and heartbeat. She still remembered how dismissive he was to her this morning, so she jumped on Zolts shoulders, being friendly. She orders him around in a light-hearted manner. They get to a secluded area, the ocean nearby.
"A lot of people go missing here. Supposedly theirs a monster." Zuko says after a long silence. They were watching Lin look around.
"Exactly," she said.
Lin found a rope. She began to tie it on Zolts waist while he stood there confused. When she starts pushing him to the edge, he looks over at her.
"Why me" Zolt complains. Without his bending, he isn't as confident in his safety in dark waters.
"Age before beauty, my dear, now get, there shouldn't be sharks," Lin demands but not as she would at work. It was too airy.
"Why do I have to be the bait, theirs are like ten people here, and some of them are water benders!" Zolt looks to the water nervously again. Lin laughs.
"Trust me, I'm the police," she says lightly "besides, none of them as boinked as you are, and I would never ask anyone to risk it," Lin admitted
"So you risk me!" Zolt complains
"Think of it as back taxes or the greater good, since a big bad triad is scared of a little water, whatever happened to die before looking like a scared Cat-chicken." Lin cooed. He got red. Nobody knew what to say.
" Fine, you'll regret this if I die," zolt hopes it makes her change her mind
" I will. I'll make sure to get a bust made in your honor." Lin says, and Zolt finally jumps. After an eye roll.
"I was always curious about seismic sense, and spiritually, I think there something in the water; suggest you check." She looked over at Toph after a few minutes of silence. Zolt swims around for a bit; he yells
"Thiers is something in here!"Korra looks overhead, hanging over the edge, assuring Zolt,
"nothing will happen. We are watching you."
"Still check, Toph," Lin says. She closes her eyes. Her heart has been racing since she took the first taste of the drug mixture. She feels a chant on her tongue. She didn't realize she was saying anything until she heard Tenzin's deep voice adding power to her chant. Some wind blew. He was familiar with that part of the book. Then something pulls, almost knocking Lin off the edge. Tarrlok and Mako rush to grab Lin so she doesn't go over the cliff with Zolt. A massive creature emerges with an ancient city on his back,
"Haha, I knew it. Now somebody get Bumi, and let's get out of here." Lin says
"How lin, how did you figure it out?" Tenzin said
" I read a lot while I was on bed rest. I wonder why they picked a spot like this. Is it a spiritual spot?"
"You know I'm not the expert on that, Lin." Tenzin huffed
"You never tap in; you just have to try with no expectations, maybe. What do I know." Lin says calmly as she watches Korra fly off to get Bumi. She has to get all the lost people that ended up on the turtle.
Zolt hugs lin wet, and she flips him over her shoulder with all her strength.
"You jerk," Lin yelps feeling cold.
" Your welcome, Zolt. Let us hang out at your place, buddy." Zolt snarks
" Fine, if you insist," Lin says
"Is it true about missing chunks of your day, Lin?" Tenzin asks Lin . He hopes not, would be akward to cheat on Pema only for Lin to not remember. Espically with her letting the walls down last night. They were closer then ever last night.
" Nah, it's just work. I'm probably fine." Lin says. She was still angry at Tenzin for what happened in the morning him suggesting she sit out finding Bumi, like she wasn't capable. Like she was weak. She was just sharing the night before but she felt he took it as fragile she wondered if she should have never reached out. She drank more of Zolt's Whiskey. Tenzin felt annoyed she never dropped that habit.
" your not fine Lin your just stubborn not forty-five percent is most of your day. itsa lot of you factor in sleep." kya says
" I don't usually sleep." Lin points out " just forget it Kya I'm ok." Lin mutters covering her face with Zolt's pillow .
Bolin shamelessly looked around Zolt's home, he finds a picture. He gasps, the lady in the picture looked familiar but he wasn't sure why, he goes to the group and sets the photo down. It was Zolt, with a sixteen year old Hiroshi and a girl who was beyond stunning the young team avatar group mouths dry, she was out of place amongst the gangly, poor Hiroshi, and the Attractive but boyish Zolt.
"Why do you have a picture of my dad?" Asami says narrowing her eyes.
" And Lin, in tiny clothes."Su added, mouth gaped. The adults decide to look at the photo, to. The kids couldn't believe that was the chief they couldn't take her affairs seriously because they solely saw her a the stern cranky chief. When they look over at her laying on the couch though they can see it. Mako stared at the picture for a while. Katara puts a photo down too.
" I found this one of Lin and Tenzin, speaking of finding photos."
Tenzin looks over and blushes. Lin was about 6 years old. Holding on to Tenzin. He remembered that day fondly.
They all discussed random topics while Lin thought of the night before, when she spoke with Katara she felt guilty.
I dunno were we going with this.
