"This sweet feeling called... 'love', is so hypnotizing."

"A-ah, um...H-hello?" Rin stammered, slapping a palm towards her mouth. "Is this um...Mikuo?" She mumbled.

Mikuo laughed from the other line, his laughter was like sweet vanilla, almost like a deeper tone than Miku's. "Yeah, this is him. What's up, damsel?" He playfully smirked in which Rin reddened.

"...Sh-shut up, I have..ah..um..a favor to ask."

Mikuo chuckles, throwing back his head. "Sure, what is it?-"

"Can you come over?"

Mikuo froze. He wasn't expecting this. "Uh...yeah. Why?" He asked worriedly, the soft yet fragile tone of her voice made him tingle. "Is something wrong?" The cyan-haired boy asks sweetly, the warmth of his voice made her feel at ease. "Yeah..I...I just need someone to talk to." Rin muttered.

"Okay," Mikuo hums, "Okay. I'm on my way. See ya there okay?" He says gently before hanging up the phone.

Rin stood by the door, her slender body wrapped around in a pink, fluffy blanket. She was practically a burrito, but a depressed, sad, lonely burrito.

It had been about a couple of minutes since she had called Miku's brother, so she decided to wait by the door. After anxiously waiting for a while, the doorbell rang, making Rin immediately answer the door.

Mikuo stood there, facing her small figure with a smug smirk planted on his face. He was wearing a gray hoodie, and some casual jeans.

"Hey, princess!" He smirked flirtatiously, but Rin wasn't feeling it. "Do I need to rescue my damsel in distress?-" Rin instantly buried her face in his chest, making the slightly taller boy freeze. "...Rin?" Mikuo says gently as the smaller girl begins to sob, small hiccups filling the silence of the living room. "...Hey, shh...It's okay.." He whispers soothingly, slowly wrapping his arms around her. "..Life sucks..!" Rin wept, her voice cracking slightly at the end of her sentence.

"..Everything sucks..!" She sobbed, breathing heavily and intensely. Mikuo lovingly stroked her back as he led her towards her bedroom, the two huddled up on the edge of a corner. Both of them were tucked in the seams of Rin's fluffy pink blanket. "Wanna tell me about what happened?" He says softly, gently stroking her head.

Rin shook her head, her sniffles being muffled by the hem of Mikuo's t-shirt. "Alright then.." He sighed in exhaustion, realizing that her brother was nowhere to be found. "Hey, where's your brother?" Mikuo asks, nudging her shoulder playfully. "Len's hanging out with his girlfriend," Rin responded dullingly, sniffling. "I see." He whispered soothingly.

"Who's his girlfriend?" Mikuo asked curiously.

Rin hesitates, unsure of being able to say the words she yearned to say, but then sighed in frustration. "Your sister, Miku." She mumbled, swallowing a nervous lump of regret. She wondered if she had spoken too much. "Ah," Mikuo gaped. "I see." He didn't seem surprised.

"...Tell me. What's wrong? You seem upset. I mean, you called me for a reason, right?" Rin hesitated again, giving him a forced smile. "I got into a fight yesterday," She bit her bottom lip nervously, holding back her tears. "I don't wanna talk about it." Rin's voice spoke lowly, her grip tightening around her trembling knees. Beside her, Mikuo sighed in frustration as he fidgeted with his fingers. "What would you know, anyway? You won't understand." She muttered under her breath relentlessly.

"Rin..."

The female huddled inside her blanket, then sighed in exhaustion as she buried her face into a nearby pillow, nearly breaking down. She didn't understand why this boy was so concerned about her feelings towards life.

Most guys don't talk to girls like that, and from her experience, she never trusted them besides her brother, Kaito, and Fukase.

Mikuo gazed at her with dilated pupils, swallowing nervously as the lump of confusion and stress crawled down his throat. "Rin." He gulps. Rin mumbles under her breath, snarling quietly as the sound muffled through the cloth of the pillow. "What? What more do you have to say to me?" The girl murmurs. He sighed, "Listen, Rin." Mikuo grasps her arm and pulls her closer, in which she protests.

Even though she kept whining and complaining in response, he still kept her close. "What?" She growls, then freezes.

He was so freaking close to her. She was just realizing at this moment that she was so deadly close to his face. His milky smooth skin, his breath hitching against her lips, his soft hair and soothing enriched voice...

He's perfect.

"I-I'm fine, okay..?" Rin mumbles under her breath as she feels her cheeks rising up with heat and fading into a dark beet color. Mikuo sees the cute look on her face and musters up a loving smile.

"Okay, whatever you say, princess." He yawns, curdling beside her warm body as she blushes a crimson red. "Sleep." He whispered soothingly, his palm placing her head on his own shoulder. "U-um..okay." Rin sniffled, nuzzling against his shoulder blade. "...Are you sure you don't want to sleep on my bed?-" Her sentence stopped once she realized he was asleep.

Rin stifled a laugh. He was drooling from the edge of his pale pink lips, saliva trickling down like a river. She slowly grabbed her cellphone, attempting to take a picture of his cute sleeping figure, but...

Her eyes land on his lips.

Rin hovered her phone down as she leaned closer towards his face, her breath hitching against his lips. She huddled inside her blanket, leaning closer. She was about to kiss him, and she really would have, but he woke up all of a sudden.

Rin froze.

He blinked in surprise, but then sleepily smiled. "...Ahah.." Mikuo laughed nervously yet smugly, "Did my damsel in distress want to give me a kiss?" He smirked sleepily, yawning. Rin stared at him, bewildered "N-no...I was just..." The female pulled away, biting her nails. "I-I..."

"I didn't mean to-"

Rin reddened at the touch of his soft lips against hers. He softly kissed her, his mouth morphing into hers sweetly.

She froze.

Her eyes widened.

What. The. Heck.

He held her close, his loving stroke soothing her feared soul and trembling figure.

Rin shut her eyes tightly as she tried her best to respond, she wrapped her arms around his neck, passionately kissing his mouth in return.

Was this...love?

Love, who she thought was just a lust-filled atmosphere of nothingness and bitter hatred towards humanity. Love, where you would get tremendously hurt and enriched in intoxicating situations with poisonous predators thirsty for lustful purposes.

But that wasn't the type of love Mikuo made her feel.

It was a warm, sweet feeling coated with bursting colors and beautiful butterflies flying in the silk air. Like holding a teddy bear against your chest and hugging it to death until it suffocates in your arms.

The last seconds that felt like hours finally came to an end once he broke from the sweet kiss.

His breath hitched against her lips and his nose cutely brushed against hers. Their breaths were tense, heaving in the dense air of the room. She was still trying to process what was going on in her head. "...You..k-ki-kissed...m-me.." She muttered under her breath, reddening with embarrassment and shyness as she bit on her bottom lip nervously. "Yeah. I did." Unable to muster up a single word from her mouth, she grumbles and responds. "What was that for!?"

Mikuo smirks smugly at the girl, snickering playfully and shyly. "You're so cute." He grins.

"You're avoiding the question, dummy." She muttered under her breath, trying her hardest not to smile. What was this sweet feeling? The boy smiles, wrapping his arms around her waist as he hugged her tightly. She hesitates, then finally gives in to his warm embrace as her arms wrap around his torso.

Even though her attempts at communicating weren't the best, he still seems to get it.

He takes a deep exhale, before whispering the final words he had truly wanted to say to her.

"I love you, Rin."
