"Humane;

having or showing compassion or benevolence."

"No."

"I'm not okay."

Miku couldn't help but let out a shaky breath as her brain gobbled up each word, processing and consuming what her ears had just heard.

"And I don't think I ever will be."

Rin and Miku stared at each other for a while.

There was aggression, and fuming, boiling anger in her throbbing saddened eyes. She looked so full of despair, there was no hope lingering in them.

She had completely lost hope in life.

On the other hand, Miku looked...humane. Her turquoise eyes sparkled with worry, and it looked like she yearned to tell her all these things, all these words that would effortlessly change her point of view."...I got into a fight with Matsuri because she called you a bitch and worthless." Rin peeped, her bottom lip trembling with anger and her stomach churning with guilt. "...I got so upset, especially because she doesn't know what type of shit you might have been through and- I just...got so aggravated. I hate people like that, judging others before you get to know them." Sparing a tiny glance at Miku, Rin swallowed. "But who am I to even talk, I did the same. It's so...stupid." The blonde scoffs, her face contorting with bitter rage and fuming anger. "Seriously, it's all just so-"

Miku mustered up a gentle smile. "It's okay." Rin stared at her as if she were crazy. "What?"

"Look, yes, what you did was completely wrong, but I forgive you," Miku states in a stern, yet quiet tone, gazing at the blonde-haired female with a soft smile.

Rin was speechless at the tealette's actions. "Wha- Why..?" She breathed.

Miku smiles again. A smile to reassure all of Rin's anxious worries. "You have to be nice to everyone no matter what, Rin. You never know what type of things they could be going through. That's why you shouldn't judge someone before you get to know them." The tealette states, smiling silently underneath. A smile full of secrets and who knows what. "There should always be room in your heart to forgive, at least I think so."

The female stared at Miku. Rin began to sob uncontrollably, her fragile and frail cries of misery ringing helplessly in Miku's throbbing eardrums. The tealette hastily wrapped her arms around the sobbing girl, and rubbed her back affectionately. "It's okay, it's okay," Miku cooed. "Everything will be okay." Rin couldn't help but muster, "No it won't..! Not when I'm feeling like this!" Will it be okay? Will everything be okay? Rin questioned in her head. After all the lamented hell she had been through, nothing made sense to her anymore. She didn't believe everything would be okay. Nothing would be the same anymore.

She just felt...empty.

Hopeless.

"It really sucks, you know..!?" Rin sobs. "Life sucks, everything fucking sucks..!" The blonde female shivered in Miku's arms, burying her reddened face in the hem of the tealette's shirt. "I just want to die so I won't have to deal with all of this...BULLSHIT!" Rin yelled, continuing to weep. "Shh, shh..." Miku consoled, "Listen."

The female gently pulled back from Rin's trembling figure and was able to muster up a soft smile when her eyes delicately met Rin's.

"Yes, I know. I know exactly how you feel."

Rin sniffled and blinked as another tear crawled out of her sobbing eyes.

"Look, yes, life can be a burden sometimes, but you have to look outside, Rin. Look how the sun shines and how the birds chirp, how beautiful the sky looks. You have to see that...maybe life isn't as bad as you thought it was."

Rin sniffled again. "And even if you were to die, what would everyone think? Len will miss you. Even though it doesn't seem like it, he really loves you, Rin."

Rin sobbed again, covering her rosy-hued face with her sweaty palms while even more tears had rolled out of her bawling eyes. "Miku, you don't understand. Do you think that he will miss me after I told him that I hated him? Do you think that Gumi will miss me even though I accidentally told Fukase that she likes him? Do you think that Fukase will miss me even though I rejected him? And what about your brother? I doubt he will too, I didn't even respond to his confession."

Rin stared at the tealette for a moment, hesitant. "Will you miss me?"

Miku didn't respond to that for a while, and a sweet, sincere smile tugged on the edges of her lips. "Yes."

Rin stared at the tealette's turquoise eyes, drowning herself in her sweet, sweet gaze. "But why, Miku? Why..? I don't...get it." She weeps, tears continuing to roll down her reddened cheeks.

"Because I love you, Rin."

Rin froze on the spot.

She slowly glanced up towards the tealette, sinking in her soft yet loving stare. For a second, it looked like Miku had dazzling stars in her eyes.

...

"..O-oh, platonically of course..! Aha...I should have clarified sooner.." The tealette laughs nervously, ruffling her hair in embarrassment. "Oh, nah. It's okay." Rin sighed in relief, then let her slender body fall on the surface of the bed. "I um...I love you too." Rin grumbled under her breath, reddening with embarrassment. "Hm?" The tealette tilts her head. "What did you say, Rin?" Miku asks.

Rin flushed red. "N-nothing. Forget it, it's not important." The blonde-haired female mumbles.

It was oddly quiet for a few minutes, and Rin plopped her head on the pillow. "I'm going to bed," Rin sighs. "I'll see you in the morning." The tealette threw the blonde-haired female a sweet smile and nodded before gently plopping off the bed. She began to patter out of her bedroom, but then, she spared a glance at Rin's sleepy figure.

"Good night, Rin."

Rin smiles.

"Good night, Miku-chan."
