Hello Everyone! Tempest The SeaWing is me and Tempest The SeaWing is now posting the first bit of this story! This is just the first chapter, told from Ruby and Keena's perspectives. This was an assignment for my english class. It was my SNOW DAY ACTIVITY! But there's a twist... I can't use the words snow, cold, or ice. Haha! This will be fun. Anyways, with all that out of the way, I hope you enjoy reading this story. Now, without further ado, let's take flight.
oOo
My eyes snapped open to the sound of people speaking in a language I didn't understand, I was also freezing for some strange reason.
"Ā, watashi no sutākuran! Yukida!" I whipped my head around in surprise to see a girl a few years younger then me. "What the heck? I didn't understand that, could you repeat that please?" I asked, tilting my head to the side as my wolf ears twitched.
KEENA
I scanned the chakra signitures around me, and none of them I recognized. I frowned slightly and looked down at the ground.
"Nani? yuki? StarClan no namae de nani ga okotte iru nodesu ka?" I said, with a bit of confusion. I then heard a voice from somewhere nearby. "Who are you?" I turned to see a girl with dark hair, emerald green eyes and... Ā, watashi no sutākuran! Sorera no ōkami no mimi to ōkami no shippodesu ka? Karera wa honmonodesu ka?
RUBY
I sighed and pulled my hair in frustration. I'm far from home and I meet a girl who can only speak Japanese! Oh my StarClan! This will be a lot of fun! yay!
'The question is... Now what?' I wondered, with a sigh and a thoughtful look on my face. 'Well, I have to find my way back home... So I'm going to need help.' I thought to myself, with determination shining in my eyes.
then turned to the girl who was staring at me for some reason, but then I realized why... she was staring at my wolf ears and my wolf tail. I laughed quietly to myself and it was then that the girl finally quit staring.
"Are you far from home as well?" I asked and the strange girl just blinked owlishly at me and tilted her head. I frowned and my eyes narrowed in thought. "I bet you don't understand anything that I'm saying, am I right?" I asked and she nodded her head. I sighed and began to pace around in circles. "I know! We can help each other! But we need to find a way around this language barrier first." I muttered to myself, with a huff of announce, and a twitch of my wolf ears.
I then looked around for something to draw or write with. I then saw a long branch that looked like it was about to fall off of a nearby tree. Let's help each other out and work together! I wrote on the ground, I then wrote my name out as well.
"My name's Ruby, what's your name?" I wrote on the ground with a tree ranch. Once I had finashed, I handed the branch to the other girl, who grabbed it and began writing her own response.
"Watashinonamaeha kīnadesu. Hajimemashite, rubī. Watashi wa dōi shimasu, watashitachiha otagai ga ienikaeru michi o mitsukeru no o tasukerubekidesu." And to my absolute shock, the girl wrote in both Japanese and English. "My name's Keena, nice to meet you, Ruby. I agree, we should help each other find our way home." I blinked in confusion. She can speak Japanese and write in it, but she can also writes in English? How does that work? I wondered to myself with a bit of confusion and curiosity.
KEENA
I can write in English and Japanese, but I can only speak in Japanese. I was just glad that Ruby and I are able to communicate through writing.
We both then decided to explore this place, it appears that there's some kind of festival going on. I wonder what for? No time to get distracted, we have to find our way home.
"Nē! O ni-ri wa kono atari de watashi o atarashiku shinakereba naranai, watashi wa kaite iru no ka?" We both looked up to see a woman with dark hair waiting a dark purple kimono. I smiled sheepishly and shrugged my shoulders.
"Īe, watashitachiha shinsanmonode wa arimasen. Watashitachi wa jissai ni ienikaeru michi o mitsukeyou to shite imasu, anata wa watashitachi o tasukete kuremasu ka?" I asked and the woman nodded with a friendly smile. "Sure, I'd be happy to help! Where do you two live? Are you two aibbamings?" She asked and I shook my head with a small laugh.
It looks like we'll find our way home after all, that's a relief! I thought to myself with a bright grin on my face. At least... I hope so.
RUBY
What had sent us to modern day Japan had been a time transporting Jutsu or something like that. But it was hard to find it, but we did eventually.
We both ended up at the orphanage where I lived, oh great, fantastic! Now Keena's stuck here! What's next? I hope nothing else would happen. I'm home but Keena's not... so I'm going to help her find her way back home.
"Uh-oh" I say in a small squeak.
"Nē, rubī-chan? Watashitachi wa doko ni iru no? Soshite, tonikaku kono basho wa sutākuran no namae de nandesuka?"
"I'm not sure, Keena-Chan" I say, running my hands through my midnight locks as I began to pace in circles. In reality I knew exactly where we were, we were at Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria and Keena was still here. Ugh! This day just keeps getting better and better! Yippee!
