The Great Beast lay in anger

Stripped of its freedom in Shackling chains

Filled with Thirst and Hunger

Known as the Gods Bane

The Moral of the Story is

Don't anger the beast as for freedom it cries

If you do one thing for sure is

Thus Bahamut will Rise.

Stories. An intricate part of many cultures. This poem was written by the one and only Ancient Wizard and Counsellor of the Gods Theodore. He speaks of the beast of death. The God of Annihilation. Equal to the All Father itself it's power was unstoppable. The King and Progenitor of the Dragons. Bahamut the Bane of the Gods. It is said this Dragon hungered for only destruction. It's power was such that the very fabric of Space, Time and Reality shattered as the All-Father sealed him. Creation shook as these 2 titans of death fought.

There was once a time when Bahamut was the Noblest of them all. Kind, compassionate and benevolent. It changed as it fell in love with another dragon. Celestia the Cosmic Dragon of Space. Their love was perhaps a symbol of true peace. But the day his love died so did the Bahamut that was once there in him. Gone was the kindness, Gone was the compassion and Gone was the benevolence.

It nearly killed every God before the All-Father sealed it away. And thus the great Dragon fell...

"Done". Victoria smiles and closes the book.

"Huhh?! But I wanna know what happened after that!" The young child on her lap said. Victoria smiles and ruffles the young one's hair. Victoria then spoke "Well my sweets that's the end. No one knows what happened. Theodore left this for us, humans, as a source of knowledge before he left back to the God-Realm" The caretaker said.

Victoria smiled down at the little boy on her lap. He was about 7 Years old with Jet Black Hair and white linings ending down his hair. He had golden eyes and his smile seemed to make the troubles of the world disappear. This young man was Akai Diamandis. The youngest son of the Diamandis family. Abandoned by his own family. Why you ask?

Many in the realm of Gaia have access to Magic. There are many who don't. Akai was one of those magicless people who don't have magic. This itself was not an issue to many. There were magicless people so it was considered normal. However that's the truth for only the Middle-Class and Below. The rich, however? It was considered unacceptable for them to have magicless children as magicless kids will bring down their prestige and glory. Magicless children are usually killed off at birth. There were chances for two people with Magic to have a child that is magicless. Akai was one of the lucky few who survived. Mainly because Victoria was once the head-maid of the family. But when she heard about Akai being killed she couldn't take it any longer and fled with the baby in her arms.

Akai knew about his relationship to his past family and stubbornly insists on meeting them despite Victoria's protests. She knew if Akai went back he will be killed...So she did everything she could to protect him. The Diamandis Family soon caught up to her and she still remembered the words Akai's mom spoke

Flashback

Akai's Mom Rubidia walked up to the former Head-Maid of the family. She looked at the baby in her hands with disgust.

Rubidia spoke "Take him away. I'm showing mercy for now...But. If I see that rat ever again I will not hesitate to send guards to chop him into pieces. Understood?", Victoria spoke nothing.

Rubidia shouted " UNDERSTOOD!" and slapped the child away from her hands as little Akai fell down the ground crying in pain. Victoria screamed "AKAI!" and hurriedly picked up the child and glared at Rubidia.

Victoria said " He will never see your face again rapscallion." She hissed with venom at Rubidia who was unaffected and turned back and left.

Crying Victoria whispered "I will protect you little one..."

Flashback End

Victoria had tears in her eyes as she remembered. Akai spoke up "Aunty Vic..." He was worried over her. Victoria hurriedly wiped her tears off and smiled down at Akai. She picked him up and sung a lullaby as Akai went to sleep. She held him tight and hugged him never to let her little one go. She whispered "I will always protect you little one...Always."
