"Do you reckon mother will kill us for this?"

"Definitely."

"But it's not our fault. Mother is the one who put the vases in this kind of place!"

After I narrowly escaped from the engagement with Jeord, I became a little too excited and ended up breaking a few vases. Not just any vases, but the heirloom of the Claes and Adeth's household!

"Can we just hide the pieces?"

"Good idea, Katarina!"

"No, we can't."

"But why?!"

"Because Mother will definitely suspect us if she doesn't see the vases at that place."

"U-umm.."

"Do you have anything to add Katarina?"

"W-what if we tried to fix it? With glue or something similar?"

"?!"

"Right! That option still exists! Thank you Katarina for that brilliant idea!"

"Now, our mission is: finding glue or something similar, and fix the vases before Mother notices! Meeting closed! Hurry Katarina!"

"Okay!"

"I'm screwed..."

She couldn't find any glue in this house! And to think her plan went up in smoke in only 5 minutes!

"Well, I'll just accept Mother's punishment..." If only she could just fix it with a clap of her hand...Wait!

This is a world with a fantasy setting, isn't it? Surely alchemy exists in this world, right?

"Next destination, library!"

Alchemy did exist...but just as a way to make potions and salve, not to fix things like in the anime...

She's totally screwed!

Well, she already accepted she would probably, nay, definitely get a harsh punishment for the vases later.

"Well, no harm in trying this experiment."

She is currently in the backyard of her house. She just finished drawing a transmutation circle using the chalk she took from her father's study room, but she does not quite remember what this transmutation circle, a hexagon within two circles and filled with different types of shapes and symbols, is used for. She put's the shards of the vases inside the circle.

She focuses the flowing mana inside her towards the Earth beneath the transmutation circle. Before she can clap her hands to the earth, she hears someone calling her name.

She searches for the origin of the voice and sees her parents, her family's gardener Tom and her personal maid Anne coming her way.

Not wanting Mother to see the shards, she quickly claps her hands and slams both her palm onto the ground, though she thinks her endeavor is just fruitless. But no harm trying, yes?

Though the black and purple-ish electrical discharge that rises from the circle tells a different story. Her parents, Tom and Anne stop in their tracks when they see the electricity.

Suddenly she is in a white space of nothingness, instead of her backyard. She looks around, and she sees it. Behind her is a large floating ornamental door, decorated with a large engraving of a tree, and within the branch of the tree, she can see alchemical symbols and at the top of the tree, symbol for Earth element, and unknown element in two smaller circles surrounding the largest circle with the sun? Or it is a star? Symbol. But what shocks her is what is written on two circles at the bottom of the tree, disconnected from the tree. Kanji for "reincarnation" and "death" are written in separated circles.

"What...did I accidentally do human transmutation!?"

Shit, this is bad, she doesn't want to lose anything! Maybe Truth will let this slide?

Speaking of Truth, where is it/she/he? Aren't they supposed to greet her once she is in this white space?

"This is surprising. You accidentally did human transmutation?"

Suddenly a feminine-sounding voice can be heard. She quickly turns her head towards the voice. There, in front of her, a featureless, white version of her is sitting, surrounded by a black outline.

"I want to ask who are you, but I already know who you are. And yes, I did accidentally do human transmutation. All transmutation circles look the same and I didn't think I would be able to do transmutation." She explained.

"You have a quite weird soul." Truth speaks after observing her for a few seconds. "Based on your Gate, your soul was reincarnated in your current body, is that correct?"

"So you know... It makes sense, seeing as you are the World, the Universe and the nearest thing to God, and most importantly...me."

"And you do know I will take a toll for this, yes?"

Before she can speak, the door behind her opens, revealing a singular grey eye. She slowly turns her head from Truth to the door behind her. Many tiny hands emerge from the door. They drag her inside. She doesn't struggle her way out, as there is no way out. Once she was is fully inside, her head almost explodes from the sheer amount of alchemical knowledge of the world. But she can manage this amount of pain. Dying is more painful than this. She can't forget that feeling and the pain. After what feels like forever, she is released from the domain of God, her head now full of the knowledge of alchemy.

"W-what my toll?" She stuttered, her brain has difficulty making coherent words.

"You are a little bit...gluttonous, so the toll will be the part that creates that gluttony." Truth speaks once again.

The part that creates gluttony in her?

"And by the way? I fixed the vases for you."

She doesn't have time to think, as her stomach is in very incredible pain, almost at the same level as dying. If she just...closes her eyes now...

She awakens in the same place where she did human transmutation, the Claes's backyard. The black and purple lightning that rose from the circle is now gone. In the middle of the circle are now fixed vases of Adeth and Claes.

When she looked at where her parents, Tom and Anne were standing before, there are a few additions, namely Prince Jeord and his entourage. That sudden black lightning surely drew his attention.

Before she can say anything to her parents that come her way once no more lightning comes from the circle, she can feel the same sharp pain she feel in her stomach before coming back here. Blood starts coming out of her mouth, and she can feel her consciousness slipping away again. The last thing she sees is her parent's face before everything becomes black. Unlike that place.

This time she awakens in her room. When she looks out the window, only the dark of the night greets her. She slowly rises up from her bed, and walks towards the window. She still feels the pain in her stomach. When she tries to touch her stomach, she frowns when her stomach somehow feels... empty. Did Truth take her internal organs as they did to Izumi Curtis? If so, what did they take?

"Did Truth take part of my stomach?" She muses. She looks over to the place where she had done human transmutation earlier. Looks like the circle is being examined while she is asleep, as she recognizes some tool left by Ministry. But luckily, due to her drawing the circle on fragile Earth instead of a solid surface like rock or marble, the circle is now unreadable and doesn't make any sense. Not that it would make sense even if the circle was in good condition. No one will understand that circle.

"Well, I should sleep now."

Once she wakes up, her parents, Anne, and an unknown man and woman walk into her room after Anne noticed she is now awake. Anne then notified her parent about her awakening.

She guesses the man and woman are a healer and assistant. Once she gives them permission to scan and examine her body for any wound, they begin their job. She is surprised when the man's hand starts to glow. When he passes his hand over her stomach, his face shows a surprised and worried expression.

"So is my entire stomach is gone or just part of it?" Her sudden question and her casually asking about the absence of some of her organs shocked the man.

"How do you know, miss Katarina?" The man asks. Her parents show worried expressions as well.

" I've already been told by-" she stopped. She can't mention The Truth, The Gate, and the Alchemy to any of them.

"By?"

"Secret. I'm sorry I can't tell you who told me that."

"I...see. Anyway, only part of your stomach is gone, and I don't know how."

"Don't worry. At least they didn't take all of it. And if I'm not wrong..."

Luigi, Miri, and Anne don't like the expression on Katarina's face.
