Chapter 5: Sunsetting the Story

As everyone exits the stadium, the Cup Trio still carries their rewards.

"With 1 million for each of us since there's 3 of us and 3 million dollars," said Mugman, splitting the money with Cuphead and Ms. Chalice.

"Are you sure you don't want the blue ribbon or the trophy, Chalice?" Cuphead asks.

She replies, "Nah, Cuphead. The roses are enough for me to carry along with my third of the prize and my hat money. You and Mugman keep them. I have a good evening, boys."

"Bye-bye," said Cuphead as she walked off.

"Yeah, see ya real soon. And hopeful not at boot camp," said Mugman.

As the Cup Brothers walked off, Ms. Chalice looked at the picture of her and Cuphead's accident kiss. She smiled and giggled in glee.

"Best kiss ever. And now I know Cuphead is a good kisser," she said before heel-clicking her way to sunset.

Back with Cup Bros, Cuphead said, "Well, seeing the race wasn't that much as we thought it might happen. But at least my horse won, and we took the awards."

Just then, Luzando Aneurin appeared before the brothers for Mugman said, "Hey, aren't you that lion angel who bopped the Devil away from us?"

He responds, "Yep—the name's Luzando. I heard your brother owes his soul to him. Here's my card if you want to talk more."

Once Luzando gives Mugman his business card, the lion flies off as Mugman says, "For some reason, he might be useful the next time we meet him. Right, Cuphead?"

"Sure thing. Now let's head home. I can't wait to tell Elder Kettle how we won the Inkwell Races," said Cuphead, leading the way.

Then the brothers whistled "Camptown Races" as the ending circle closed on them. THE END
