A/N: Hello everyone and welcome back to the third and final installment of my Lessons in Love series. A sequel to the original and War of Roses. I originally had planned to make this a crossover story but I decided against it because I don't think it have much value but in the meantime I can always make multiverse crossover stories since I really like that concept, considering one of my current ideas is a crossover between RWBY, Jujutsu Kaisen and Marvel (don't ask haha) anyways enough rambling let's get into the story.

It had been a month, a month since the unthinkable had happened.

With his hands in his head, bowed over his desk. General James Ironwood couldn't help but sigh and internally curse. One month since the madness had literally rained down from above, on that sunny afternoon on Menagerie.

"Nirvana was right. I should've listened" Ironwood thought as he continued to look over the files right in front of him. All of them detailing the recent invasions taking place all over Remnant, through all the four kingdoms. Not major invasions, Ironwood would rather classify them as scouting missions but they had been prevalent and unyielding.

The line was red hot with the soldiers informing him of the events going on. It just kept going and her was at his wits end for the first time in a long time.

"Sir," he heard a voice speak over the phone line "another attack has been registered, this time near Mistral. We are on our way to counter it."

Ironwood sighed. Ever since that day in Menagerie it had all gone downhill, everything that Alector Nirvana had warned him about had come to pass. The Conduit had shown up, out of nowhere, swift and fast they attacked before asking questions. The battle on the Menagerie beachfront was ultimately won unscathed but it had been the spark that set off more attempts by the organization he knew far too little about to keep on pushing the limits.

And now the only person with inside knowledge on how to possibly counter them was gone.

Ironwood slammed his fist on the table, anger and frustration boiling inside him. Anger towards the organization he was warned about but chose to ignore, but also anger towards himself for not seeing the threat coming. Now all he could do was hold them off and hope and beg for a miracle to help him.

To help all of Remnant.

Since the attack on the beachfront a month ago, the giant Belladonna household had become sort of a base of operations for the remainder of Team RWBY and what had once been Team JNPR, though it was only half of both teams staying there.

Ghira Belladonna and his wife had done a good job in trying to get the citizens of Menagerie to understand the situation to allow the people to remain. The Conduit hadn't tried to attack the island again but everyone was still cautious after the surprise attack.

With their efforts combined they drove off most of the forces that sought to come near the island. But the whole group was shattered. With Ruby, Jaune and even Nirvana taken by the Conduit and no sign of them for over a month, hope had started to wane.

Even Blake and Weiss' attempts to get in touch with Ruby's half-sister Yang had come up fruitless. She had set out on her own after Beacon's fall and losing her arm to Adam Taurus and they hadn't heard from her since then. They figured with Ruby taken if they got that message out Yang would come in a heartbeat but so far nothing.

Nora and Ren where hit to an extend nobody had expected. Already losing Pyrrha when Beacon fell and now losing Jaune as well, with no way of knowing if he was alive hit them quite hard.

The house was quiet and everyone was in the living room, with at least three guest rooms to spare there was room aplenty for the long staying guests. The early afternoon had set in but nothing but a dour mood had filled the last month.

With the Conduit's first unexpected attack that fateful day, hope was almost instantly shattered as the next following month was filled with news about mysterious attacks from an unknown enemy in all the four kingdoms. While they hadn't attacked Menagerie again after Ironwood and his forces drove them off, their presence in remnant was like a consistently dark cloud looming over them.

Even the ever cheerful Nora had been in a downer mood after seeing her friends be taken. Ren was his ever stoic self and Weiss handled the situation as well as she always did, training and taking her mind of it, no sense in getting hung up, getting stronger gave them a fighting chance.

Blake felt like she had landed in a vicious spiral. Losing her friends, losing her lost and longed love again and being powerless to do anything about it.

And there she sat on the couch, with Alec Nirvana's pet kitten Milena softly purring in her lap. The small feline had taken quite a liking to her in the past month. Blake recalled waking up to see Milena standing right over, almost as if she had cried.

They both missed him.

"Heard anything from Ironwood?" Nora threw in the group, consisting of herself, Ren, Weiss, Blake and her parents.

Weiss shook her head in response "no and I doubt we will hear anything back. The man is swamped now that the Conduit seems to be everywhere. We have to do something ourselves" she said clutching her fist.

"With all due respect young Weiss," Ghira interjected respectfully "but what do you hope to do. Even if we knew when your friends are being kept, we can't do much with the six of us."

"Actually make that eight" a voice said suddenly.

Everyone turned around to see a red portal opening up in the hallway and a figure with long blonde hair and a prosthetic arm stepped through it, followed by another woman clad in red with equally long and wild black hair.

"Yang?" Blake questioned as she stood up, making Milena jump on the couch.

"The one and only" the blonde bombshell shrugged confidently as she walked forward towards the group, who all simultaneously ran towards her and embraced her one by one.

"It's so good to see you again! Where have you been?" Nora questioned as she and the others hugged their long absent friend.

"That can wait, where's Ruby?" Yang asked the group, only to be met with an almost solemn silence. But one that brought the message across quite clearly.

"No…" she said trembling, almost feeling her legs give away as her friends held her as the realization set in that her beloved sister wasn't there with her.

"I'm sorry Yang…we tried to save her, but they took her. The Conduit…" Weiss started.

As Yang tried desperately to hold back her tears, behind her the wild haired woman stepped forward. And from afar she locked eyes with Kali Belladonna.

"Raven?" the older cat Faunus said as she looked at the woman.

"Hello Kali, it's been a while" Raven said, smiling.

Blake noticed this and looked at the wild haired women, before turning back to Yang and realizing.

"Raven…Yang is that…" she started but Yang cut her off with a look.

"Yes Blake. That's my mother. It's a long story…" she said before looking up at the interior of the house, her eyes immediately focusing in on the one thing that was out of sight.

The cat on the edge of the couch. She instantly recognized it.

Yang immediately broke free from the hug and walked over to the cat, who looked up at her in confusion. "Is he here?" Yang asked almost angrily "is Nirvana behind this…"

"NO!" Blake yelled out unintentionally, causing all eyes to turn to her and a sinking feeling to boil up in her stomach.

Or rather she felt nauseous.

Weiss stepped in on her friend's behalf "for once he wasn't behind this. Though this is also partly on him. Sit down Yang there's a lot you need to know."

Weiss had an almost commanding presence, befitting of her heiress status. And it managed to get Yang calm enough for her to sit down. And Weiss then gestured everyone to sit down as well. Blake returned to her original seat as Milena joined her, Blake placed her hand on her stomach, feeling a nauseous turning course through her.

Probably the stress she thought.

Yang's mother, the wild haired Raven Branwen walked up towards Kali and smiled "Kali Belladonna. How long has it been, a good twenty years or so" she said.

Kali nodded, still surprised "that it has, last time I heard from you, you got married. How did that turn out."

Raven turned and eyed Yang, who was staring daggers at her. Raven kept her stoic and professional expression turned on despite her daughter's gaze. Turning back to Kali she just responded with "it's a long story I'll tell you later."

"And you will have to explain how you two know each other" Yang shouted from afar towards the two older women.

What followed was a long debriefing and explanation to Yang and by proxy her mother Raven, to which Blake had a suspicious feeling considering she knew the story about how Raven abandoned Yang as a baby and now suddenly they show up together? But the priority for Yang was knowing what had happened to her sister. Weiss explained that the Conduit had kidnapped both Ruby and Jaune as well as Nirvana who had apparently turned over a new leaf, something which Yang immediately scoffed at.

"Where is Ruby now then? Then we need to rescue her and Jaune" Yang said.

"That's the thing we don't know or else we already would have" Weiss replied.

Yang clutched her fist in frustration, the same frustration that was felt by everyone for the last month. They had no leads and no clue where Ruby and Jaune had been taken too and they couldn't depend on Ironwood's help since his hands were tied with trying to stop the Conduit's invasions

They were well and truly left to their own devices.

Ruby Rose had been unable to keep track of time for how long she had been in this cell on this ship. One meal a day, barely any contact. Alone with her thoughts, worries about her friends and Jaune, and the cruelty that hag of a woman was putting him through.

Her cell was large enough to fit four people into, but for some reason she was left there alone for goodness knows how long now. Supreme Chancellor Belrus visited her on occasion but she refused to talk to her in any way.

Ruby couldn't describe it, but whenever that woman was near, a nasty and eerie aura followed.

The door to her cell opened again. And instead of the regular guard bringing her food, Ruby could see the vague silhouette of a floating chair hovering above the ground.

And there she was again. Supreme Chancellor Belrus, arriving in on her mechanical floating chair, dressed in all red, same as her hair color. A sweet smile plastered on the massive woman's face.

Behind her walked a man whom Ruby hadn't seen before. He looked older than most she had seen on the ship, around his mid-forties with dark grey hair and a scar running over his right eye. His hands where clasped behind his back as he formally walked behind the Supreme Chancellor.

"Ruby my darling, I hope you are feeling well. Have the accommodations been to your liking?" the Supreme Chancellor asked in her usual sweet tone.

Ruby didn't respond, opting to look away from her captor instead.

"Tsk Tsk Tsk" she heard the woman say "it's not polite to look away when someone's talking to you."

"It's also not polite to lock people up" Ruby mumbled, yet loud enough for both of the woman in charge and her henchman to hear it.

"You dare to speak to the Supreme Chancellor in that tone!" Ruby felt herself grabbed by the shoulders and placed up against the concrete wall of herself. She saw the scarred man angrily looking at her, his tight grip holding her into place.

"Now, now Gellin be polite," Belrus said as she moved forward in her floating chair, inches removed from the pair "let me handle this, you go check on dear Jaune."

Upon hearing her boyfriend's name come out of the mouth of her captor Ruby turned and glared at the Supreme Chancellor, whom just smiled warmly at her, almost condescendingly so.

"As you wish Supreme Chancellor" the man, apparently named Gellin spoke as he dropped Ruby to the ground and left the room with a bow towards his boss. Leaving Ruby alone with her.

"If you put a finger on him I will!" Ruby spouted before she was interrupted by a weird paralyzing sensation going over her, suffocating her voice, like her vocal cords where being tied together. It was like a force field being generated out of nowhere.

She couldn't speak, couldn't bring out a word.

The Supreme Chancellor just sat there, reached out her hand to cup Ruby's cheek "my dear girl, you have to learn some manners. I let you stay here on my ship, keep you fed, keep you warm, keep you safe, all I ask in return is a little cooperation."

Ruby couldn't respond, but she saw the look in the woman's eyes, big green venomous eyes contrasted by her warm and motherly smile. And she felt it again, that strange and eerie aura, one that would yell at your instinct to run and run away fast.

"You stay here and think about that for a while okay dear girl" Belrus said as she let go of the young huntress, turning her hover chair around and proceeding towards the cell's exist.

"I will have to visit dear Jaune soon, such a handsome boy wouldn't you agree" the Supreme Chancellor spoke, almost as if to mock Ruby. But before the girl could respond the door was closed behind her, leaving her with nothing but anxious worry for her boyfriend, being left to the mercy of that woman.

The conversation in the Belladonna household had drove on about the situation. Yang was fired up and ready to do something, anything to get her sister back. Her mother, who still had not explained why she was with her in the first place remained quiet and just sat there observing it. Weiss tried to make a good objective plan but it seemed to fall on deaf ears with Yang's fiery drive.

Blake excused herself from the conversation, petting Milena before silently rushing to the bathroom. And the moment she arrived the nauseous pit in her stomach seemed to win out and she threw up right in the sink.

It was fast and messy and she felt horrible about it. This gut feeling had been swirling around her for three days. She figured it had just been the stress of the situation, Milena seemed to notice it too since her lover's pet kitten seemed to be tied to her hip now.

"Blake are you alright?" the cat Faunus turned around to see her teammate Yang standing in the doorway, a look of concern on her face.

"Yeah just not feeling so well," Blake replied as she held her stomach, still feeling like her insides where on fire "it's probably just the stress of everything that has happened."

Yang just nodded as Blake approached and held her friend's shoulder. A smile on her face, glad to see her friend again.

"I get that it's been a stressful time. I'm sorry I couldn't be here faster, if I had known what had happened…"

"It's fine Yang you didn't know…" and suddenly Blake recoiled back against the wall next to the bathroom, clutching her stomach.

"Blake what's going on?" Yang yelped as she reached over to her friend, who had a look of uneasiness all over her as the nauseous and annoying feeling in her seemed to be working overtime.

"I see what's going on" a voice suddenly spoke.

Yang and Blake both looked up to see Yang's mother Raven leaning against the wall before them, her arms crossed and her eyes focused on them.

"Mom! How long have you been standing there!" Yang almost yelled before hearing her teammate groan in discomfort and she turned to her again. "Blake are you sure you're alright?" Yang asked concerned.

"She'll be fine. This is normal" Raven said with a stoic expression as she looked at Yang and Blake.

"How do you know?" Yang exclaimed as she held Blake against the wall and tried to comfort her friend. Raven walked towards them and thoroughly looked Blake over, like a bird observing its going on from high trees.

"How long have you been feeling like this?" the wild haired woman asked, once again crossing her arms.

"About three days now" Blake mumbled, breathing slowly and trying not to focus on the discomfort.

"Hmmm" Raven nodded "let me guess, feeling nauseous, experiencing light cramps, your breasts feel sore and sensitive?" Blake looked up at the woman and couldn't help but nod.

"Yeah….how did you know?" Blake asked.

"I recognize those signs everywhere child" Raven stated, not elaborating on her words. Yang looked at her mother with irritation.

"Then what's wrong with her!" she exclaimed, her golden hair almost becoming fiery. Raven looked at Yang for a good few seconds before turning back to Blake, and still with her stoic expression she told Blake.

"You're pregnant."
