(Disclaimer: I own nothing!)
Albus Dumbledore looked nervously at the Goblet of Fire, knowing very well that this could be his last chance to find one Harry Potter, who had suddenly dropped off of his radar about 11 years ago.
The magic of the goblet, while forcing those called into a binding contract, always brought the participant before it no matter how far away from it they were, ensuring a fair chance at victory. (Though, there was a slight quirk that brought along anyone who was in direct contact with the champion called as well, however Albus believed it wouldn't matter)
The third name was ejected, and he called out "CEDRIC DIGGORY!" In a booming voice, the boy walking to the antechamber with his fellow champions with a huge smile on his face while his housemates gave hearty applause.
The old headmaster worried for a moment, wondering if all of his scheming had been for naught, when suddenly a fourth name came flying out of the Goblet. Summoning it, he took a moment to check the name given, though he already knew which one it was. "Harry Potter." For a few moments that felt like an eternity, there was naught but silence. Then, absolute chaos.
(Harry's Team)
"Surprise!" Two voices called out from the dark room, followed by "Exclamatory statement: Surprise!" and the lights turned on, revealing all the decorations put up around the place Harry and the rest of Team Sunset called their home. It had been a little tough to convince him to take a job on his own, but thankfully Zero Isle South had a couple missions that needed completing.
"Aw, guys! You shouldn't have!" An orange, winged lizard replied back, his tail burning bright with joy. However, the detail that brought most attention to this particular Charizard was the small, faded scar on his forehead, resembling a bolt of lightning. Surrounding him were his teammates, Cleo the Shinx (now a Luxray) who had been his partner from the start. Metallix, a Beldum (now Metagross) the two had met in the Crystal Caverns when trying to apprehend Grovyle, and Typhoon, a Carvanha (now Sharpedo) who had joined the group after being saved at Mt. Horn. Of course they had met and recruited more Pokémon as teammates, but these four were practically inseperable at this point, the latter two even earning their own straw beds at in the hollow of Sharpedo Bluff!
"Harry, it's been two years to the day since we started our team, and just look at all we've done! We joined the guild, went on an expedition, went to the future and back, and stopped time itself from collapsing! Heh, and let's not even MENTION Darkrai! Do you really think we wouldn't throw you a party?" Cleo giggled, reminiscing about all their adventures together. "Statement: You still have yet to tell us what the hidden land was like." Metallix looked at the two, giving a robotic, yet playful gaze.
"Eh, doesn't matter to me! Just as long as we get a piece of the action too next time, huh boss?" Typhoon laughed, slapping a fin on Harry's back. "Here, we all pitched in to get ya a little something." And Metallix reached out, presenting Harry with an armband, containing a small, black and blue marble, which he quickly put on. "Kekleon bros. said it was like our own stones, but for Charizard, so-!"
He's interrupted as Harry's arms wrap around all three of his companions, pulling them in for a hug. "You're the best teammates a guy could ask for!" They all sat there for a few moments, just enjoying each other's company, until... ["Harry Potter."]
Suddenly, all four Pokémon were pulled through... something. It felt like when Dusknoir dragged Harry and Cleo through the time rift, but even more intense. They opened their eyes, taking in all their surroundings. They seemed to be in a giant room of some kind, filled with... humans? Either way, none of them let their guard down. "Metallix, Analysis!" Harry barked an order, taking a defensive stance as the humans all stared at them. Electricity crackled on Cleo's fur, while Typhoon bared his teeth in an intimidating display.
"Analysis complete. All humans in the vicinity contain an energy similar to psychic-type Pokémon." And as Harry looked back in surprise, an old man's voice called out. "Harry Potter..?" He turned to glare at the source, an ancient looking human with gentle, yet guarded eyes, holding what looked to be an ordinary stick in his hand.
"Okay, two things. One, who the hell are you, and Two, how the hell do you know my name?" He narrowed his eyes, the flame on his tail burning dangerously hot. "Got something on the Boss, eh? You're gonna have to go through me first!" Typhoon quickly hovered in front of his leader, giving Dumbledore a toothy grin.
"Oh, I assure you, I mean absolutely no harm! However, your form is quite... different than anyone could have expected. Along with the fact that your companions seem to be talking..." (He threw a sideways glance at Metallix) "Animals? Anyway, we've much to discuss, and not much time to discuss all of it. Follow me, and I'll give you all the answers I have at the moment, as long as I get some from you." The old wizard motioned for them to follow, leading the group into the antechamber.
