Welcome to the last prewritten chapter of Dimensional Rift!
Harry woke up early, so early that the sun was just peeking above the Forbidden Forest tree line. Thank magic for windows that showed any desired view. This fact did not bother Harry. It has been a habit of Harry's to always wake early, one he had since his childhood. Harry simply sat up and went about his morning routine. Soon enough Harry walked out of his room to see Lux standing by a large window. Her hair shined gold underneath the morning sun. When she turned to face Harry her blue eyes shone, not from the sun rays but from a light that resided inside her.
"Good morning Harry," Lux chirped as she motioned Harry to come closer.
"Morning Lux, did you have a decent night's sleep?" Harry asked as he stood next to her. Harry took in how the Black Lake and the Forbidden Forest seemed to glow underneath the golden sunlight that peeked above the horizon.
"One of the best nights of sleep ever. The bed was so soft and warm that I didn't want to get up." Lux said with a smile as he hugged herself. It was then that Harry noticed she was only in a white dress shirt and a skirt that looked like it was a part of Hogwarts's uniform.
"Then why did you?" Harry asked as he turned towards her.
"I wanted to see your world's sunrise. I was curious if it would be similar to Runterra's."
"Is that your home country, Runterra?" Harry asked with a tilt of his head.
Lux let out a soft laugh, which caused Harry to smile even if it was at him.
"No no, Runterra is our homeworld. My country is a powerful city-state called Demacia." Lux said as a frown began to form. "I love my country, I really do, but to be a magic-user there is dangerous. Demacia doesn't take well to any form of magic and seeks to snuff it out. I got lucky that my family is nobility, so I was protected for the most part. Though there was a time where I hated my magic." Lux said, giving a wistful smile.
Harry just nodded before he turned back to the window. He watched as a green grow formed in the lake before disappearing. He turned back to Lux, his eyes a bit glassy.
"I know the feeling, to hate your own magic. To think of it as a disease that you wish had a cure." At Harry's word, Lux's eyes widen, her hands clasped in front of her chest. Harry took no notice of this as he continued to speak. "My relatives hated magic, they treated me like a, like a freak. Hell, for the longest time I thought my name was freak," Harry said with a bitter laugh. "But when I entered this world filled with magic, where I felt accepted, where I felt normal, I realized that magic was something that made me special. That it was a part of me, it was who I am. I am a wizard. Without my magic, I would not have met my best friends and people I call family. Without magic, I wouldn't be able to protect those that I have come to care about. Magic is a part of who I am, and I am grateful for it."
Lux said nothing as she stared at Harry for a few minutes. Before she leaned over and hugged Harry. Harry tensed at the surprise contact before returning the hug. They stayed there, enjoying the kinship of like souls before Lux pulled away. A smile adorned Lux's lips making Harry smile back. Harry realized that Lux was a few inches taller than him as he had to look up at her just a little.
They both turned back to the window and enjoyed watching the sunrise. Lux eventually turned back to Harry.
"Waking early, is this a habit from your childhood?" Lux said as a frown formed.
Harry said nothing as he nodded his head. He turned to face her and gave Lux a small smile. Lux just pulled Harry into another brief hug and this time Harry didn't hesitate to hug her back. Lux blushed as she pulled away from Harry.
"Sorry, I am not normally this physical," Lux said, putting her hands behind her back.
"Don't worry about it, I like getting hugs. It shows that someone cares," Harry said with a smile that caused Lux to blush even more.
The clock that sat in the corner of the room chimed six times breaking the duo out of their conversation. Harry frowned before he started walking towards the door.
"I need to get back to my dorm, otherwise others will start to wonder where I was. Then I got class until the afternoon." Harry said looking back at Lux. "You think that you'll be okay until then?"
"Yeah, I think we will be okay. Oh, what about food?"
"Just call for Dobby, he will get you anything you need. If that's it then I'll see you later." Harry said opening the door. He paused as he walked through it, "And Lux, thank you."
"You're welcome," Lux said as Harry walked out of the room and the door once more disappeared.

Harry was coming down the Gryffindor dorm stairs after successfully making it back before anyone was awake. Harry spotted Hermione sitting by the fireplace reading a book. He silently walked up behind her and tapped her on the shoulder. She tilted her head back with narrowed eyes and a deep frown.
"You never came back last night," Hermione said in a harsh whisper. None of the other Gryffindors paid them any mind though too engrossed in their own world.
"I did, just really late," Harry said raising his hands up.
"Don't lie to me Harry, I was waiting for you all night. I fell asleep out here."
Harry immediately dropped his hands and frowned. "I am sorry Hermione, I didn't mean to worry you and keep you up all night."
Hermione huffed before crossing her arms. "I always worry about you, Harry. Honestly, you are always getting into trouble. Especially now with that pink toad in charge. I don't want to wake up and read that about something horrible happened to you, got that. If you are going to do something stupid at least bring me along to bail you out."
Harry laughed before jumping over the back of the couch and plopping down next to Hermione. He gave Hermione a hug causing her to blush.
"You're the best Hermione, and next time I'll be sure to bring you along. Sadly, I already did something that I kind of need your help bailing me out of."
Hermione let out a long sigh before giving Harry a look that clearly said, 'what now?'. Harry shook his head and mouth 'later' before looking over to the boy's stairs. Ron was coming down with a frown until he saw Harry and Hermione. He started to grin as walked over to the two.
"Glad to see you here Harry, was afraid I would have to hunt you down. Come on let's get breakfast, I'm starved."
Harry and Hermione just shared a look before they laughed and followed after Ron.

Classes were the usual and everyone, besides the Slytherin, was down and morose. Umbridge had a smug look on her face whenever the trio saw her. Harry had a permanent scowl whenever he was in her presence. Hermione and Ron were no better as they too wore scowls. As the last class for the day ended Harry ushered Hermione and Ron into an empty alcove. He quickly tossed his invisibility cloak over the three of them and pulled out the Marauders Map. Hermione and Ron opened their mouths but a quick look from Harry quickly made them close them. After looking over the map, Harry pointed to Ron and Hermione that they were heading to the seventh corridor. Specifically, right in front of the Room of Requirement. Hermione and Ron were confused by this plan but said nothing since no inquisitor was nearby.
With absolute silence, the trio made their way to the Room of Requirement. The three saw Luna just staring at the tapestry of Barnabas the Barmy. Harry shared a look with his friends who only shrugged at him.
Luna simply turned to look at them, and Harry would have sworn she made eye contact with him. With a quick swish of the cloak Harry, Hermione, and Ron stood in front of the mysterious blonde.
"Hello Luna, what brings you here?" Harry asked with a smile.
"The wrackspurts spoke of something new in the castle. Yet they couldn't tell me what, so I followed them here." Luna said with a serene smile.
Hermione and Ron just rolled their eyes while Harry's smile grew larger. Trust Luna to be cryptic and observant.
"Did the wrackspurts tell you this last night?" Harry asked motioning for Luna to follow him and the rest of the trio.
"No, but the flugels were really active last night. They are only ever active when something crosses into places they shouldn't be." Luna said giving Harry a look that would pass as an empty stare. But to Harry he could see the question that was behind Luna's blank stare.
As Harry walked up to the wall a door appeared causing Hermione and Ron the jump back. Harry simply opened the door and motioned for the other three to enter. The three entered without question and immediately pulled out their wands as they stared at the other occupants of the room. Said occupants had their own weapons drawn out and pointed at unknown people until Harry finally entered the room.
Immediately a loud squeal broke the stare down as a little redhead crashed into Harry giving him a tight hug.
"Hello to you too Annie, had a good day so far?" Harry asked patting Annie's head.
"The best! Me, Kai'Sa, Lux, and Tibbers have been having a tea party while grumpy and sparky played cards. Lux made rainbows appear and made me a crown of sparkles. We even had real tea and sugar cubes! Oh oh oh, Dobby is the bestest, he brought me even more stuffed animals for my tea party. I made Dobby join us and he wouldn't stop crying till I told him to. He was getting tears into the tea. Dobby also brought cookies! Sugar cookies are the best; `specially when you can decorate them yourself. Dobby brought some icing and sprinkles and we decorated a lot of cookies. We made a cookie that looked like each other. Do you want your me cookie?" Annie rambled on staring up at Harry.
"I would love to have my me cookie," Harry said causing Annie to run over to the dining table. Annie plucked a cookie off the top of the stack and was holding it out to Harry a second later. Harry smiled as he took the cookie that looked vaguely like him and bit off the head. Making a hum of appreciation, Harry smiled as Annie grinned and hugged him tight.
Harry noticed that everyone had finally relaxed, and he motioned for his classmates to take a seat on the center couch. The Runeterrans silently took their own seats with the exception of Annie who sat on Harry's lap. Harry simply gave a sigh before he hugged the redhead close to him and rested his chin on her head.
"Time for introductions I guess," Harry said, "Hermione, Luna, Ron, these are Ryze, Kassadin, Lux, and Kai'Sa. Oh and Annie if you didn't catch that earlier. Everyone, Hermione, Luna, and Ron, my classmates and close friends."
Everyone shared some greetings before silence fell.
"Ok, so who exactly are you all? You don't look… How do you say, from this world?" Hermione said with a deep frown.
"We are from a world called Runeterra, each of us is from a different country. We were drawn together by a strange magic pulse –" Ryze said.
"The Big Thump!" Annie said interrupting.
"Yes yes, the magic felt like a big heartbeat," Ryze said roll of his eyes as all the girls giggled. "Anyways, we were drawn towards an ancient obelisk with runes that I did not recognize. Something activated the runes and the six of us were teleported to your world."
"Six? There are only five of you here." Ron said cutting in.
"Nauty is too big, he waits in the lake." Annie said as she pointed to the lake through the window.
"She means Nautilus, a metal giant that comes from the seas. Harry said he was too big, so he agreed to hide in the lake until he was needed." Kassadin said.
"So, you wish to return to your home?" Hermione asked.
"Yes, I have duties to attend to in Runeterra," Ryze nodded.
"As do I," Kassadin said.
Lux and Kai'sa nodded their heads in agreement. When all eyes turned to Annie, she just hugged Harry's arm. She refused to look at them before she stared up at Harry. Harry hugged her tighter and whispered quietly into her ear.
Annie hugged Harry tighter and said nothing. Harry just shook his head at the others. The others just gave Annie looks of questioning before Hermione and Ryze started to delve into the magic that brought the Runterrans to Earth. The duo had quickly pulled out parchment and quills to start drawing the runes. Kassadin joined the duo giving his input.
Luna had started to speak to Kai'sa and started to ask a bunch of questions about random magical creatures. Kai'sa looked startled at some of the creatures Luna described but never confirmed anything. Ron joined Luna and Kai'sa and began to ask questions about what Runeterra was like. Harry and Annie were soon the only ones left on their couch until Lux had sat next to the two. Harry gave her a smile while Annie beamed up at Lux.
"So, these are your friends?" Lux said as they watch Ron talk about quidditch.
"Yeah, Ron and Hermione are my best friends. We have shared many adventures; they are like the brother and sister I never had." Harry said with a smile. "Luna, she is unique. She sees the world in a way that no one else seems to understand and they scorn her for it. But I trust her, and she is quite fun to be around."
"Harry, I want to play," Annie interrupted.
"Sure Annie, what do you want to play?" Harry said looking down at the little girl on his lap.
"I want to burn stuff and Tibbers wants to smash things," Annie said almost whining.
Harry looked over to a random empty wall, seeing a door appear he picked Annie up and walked towards it. This drew everyone's attention as Lux got up to follow them. The others shrugged and followed along as well. Going through the door, Harry set Annie down on the ground. In front of them was a bunch of wooden training dummies. Harry pulled out his wand as Annie skipped over to the dummies. She tossed Tibbers into the air and in a flash of fire, a giant bear crashed into a bunch of the dummies. Fire danced of the giant stuffed bear as Annie cackled surrounded by flames herself.
"Get 'em, Tibbers!" Annie said as she unleashed a large wave of flames. Annie then shot a fireball that instantly burned one of the dummies. Tibbers was on a rampage as he smashed one dummy after another.
"Brutal," Kai'Sa said, breaking the trance on the spectators.
"Bloody hell, I wouldn't want to get on her bad side," Ron said as he watched the massacre.
"Neither would I, neither would I," Ryze said with a shake of his head.
Harry watched quietly, his eyes never leaving the flaming form of Annie. Lux too kept a close eye on the little pyro-mage.
"Is fire magic the only magic she can do?" Hermione asked.
"As far as any of us know. As she gets older, she will probably be able to wield many different kinds of magic. Fire magic simply comes to her instinctively." Kassadin said.
"Mmm, like how light magic is my specialty, but I am capable of some other magic spells," Lux said, her staff twirling slowly in her hands.
Harry slowly walked forward, his wand snapping out and blasting any debris that flew towards him. Harry soon stood behind the flaming Annie. As she turned around, she looked into Harry's eyes. From one emerald green eye to the other tears began to form in both. Harry kneeled and hugged Annie close to him. The fire that surrounded Annie instantly vanished as she held on to Harry. Annie began to sob quietly as Harry held her. Tibbers had disappeared in another burst of flames and was lying on the ground as a teddy bear.
"I don't, I don't want to go back, Harry. I don't want to be alone again. Not again please Harry, I don't want to be alone again." Annie said as she cried into Harry's shoulder.
"Never again Annie, this I promise you. Never again will you be alone." Harry said hugging Annie tighter to him. Harry looked up to see Lux standing above him and Annie. Lux also knelt and hugged both Annie and Harry. Annie turned away from Harry and hugged Lux.
"Don't worry Annie, you'll never be alone again, in this or our world," Lux said.
Annie said nothing as she hugged Lux but a slight mumble of thanks could be heard from her sobbing.
While Annie, Harry, and Lux held each other, Luna ushered everyone else out of the room. No one argued as they let the small blonde force them out. Once out of the room, Ryze immediately went back to his seat. Kassadin and Kai'Sa shuffled back to their seats, Kai'Sa's eyes were clouded while Kassadin's helmet hid him from the world.
"Does Annie not have someone to look after her back in Runeterra?" Hermione asked her hands playing with the helm of her cloak.
"I, I do not know of Annie's home life. She and Lux came to the obelisk together. At the time I had assumed they were together. Now, maybe Nautilus was the only one that looked after her." Ryze said as he stared at the ceiling.
"Why do you think only Nautilus?" Ron asked taking a seat on the center couch.
"Annie is the only one with any knowledge of Nautilus, besides some of the stories about him. Nautilus probably watched over her the best he could but, well a metal giant was probably not welcomed anywhere." Ryze said.
"Annie was scorned for her magic as a child," Kai'sa said, "She was telling me and Lux during the tea party that she had a stepmother who hated her because of her magic. So, when Annie's stepsister, Daisy I believe, got killed in an accident, Annie's stepmom took it out on Annie. Annie didn't say what happened to her or her father. But I did hear her mumble 'ashes, ashes, they all fall down'."
No one said anything until the door to the training room opened. Harry, Lux, and Annie walked out smiling. Annie was holding both teens' hands as the trio took a seat on the main couch.
"Alright, so what is the plan?" Harry asked as Annie snuggled into Lux's side.
"I would like to try to examine this obelisk and see if there is any way to examine the runes. Maybe if we channel some of our magic into it we can open the gate." Hermione said.
"Or bring something over that would be bad for this world," Ryze interjected.
Hermione nodded at that, "Yes, that is also a possibility. Either way examining the site where you entered our world would be the best bet. I think those well-versed in magic should be the only ones to go. That being, me, Ryze, Kassadin, Lux, and Luna should go."
Harry looked around the room and saw everyone agreeing to the plan. Harry gave a solemn node himself.
"Then tomorrow night will be when the group will go. It might be best if a quick distraction draws the school's attention away from the lake area." Harry said which made Annie jump up in excitement.
"Tibbers and I could go on a walk," Annie exclaimed.
"That would certainly cause a large distraction," Ron said with a chuckle.
Everyone had some looks of amusement at the thought.
Harry just shook his head before calling for Dobby. Food was immediately served and everyone dug in as they talked about different things. Harry smiled as he watched Lux and Annie argue about what to eat before Kai'Sa hands a plate to Annie. Annie pouted at the plate but took it without complaint. Harry smiles and picks up his own plate, after all, Harry wouldn't want to offend Dobby.
As I said before, here is my last pre-written chapter. I have a few ideas for where I want to take this story but have been having trouble deciding on the next steps. I want to do something with the void creatures crossing over. I think that be interesting. The stray thought of Voldemort somehow teaming up with Noxus or those from Zaun is another. So many ideas, so little time to execute. That and I got other stories on my plate as well.
I hope you enjoyed the story so far, and I hope that I will be able to continue it soon. If anyone wants to adopt this story, please just let me know.
PK OUT!
