Back in the present, Apple and Raven had finished breakfast and were on their way to class when they bumped into Briar in the hall.

"Hey girl, how's your side feeling?" asked Briar while looking at Apple.

"Still a little sore, but I can handle it," said Apple.

"Can't believe you managed to pull your muscles that bad in your sleep the night after we returned from the trip," said Briar.

"You're telling me," said Apple. Briar then left the two in order to head to her own class.

"I'm sorry that you can't tell her the truth," said Raven while they continued to head for their class.

"Hey, I understand why you didn't want anyone to know, they would be overbearing if they knew about your curses," said Apple.

"So don't worry about it, there's no shame about hiding it," she said.

"Speaking of no shame, you sure didn't have any given how you confessed to me," said Raven with a slight chuckle.

"Did you have to remind me about that?" asked Apple as her face turned bright red.

"I'm still embarrassed by how that happened," she said. In the past, a little over a month had passed since Apple announced her change in the factions.

"Are you sure you're okay with not going to Briar's party?" asked Raven as she and Apple sat on the couch while watching a movie in their room.

"I'm sure, all of them still think I'm going to change back to the Royals' side," said Apple. The two then fell silent for a minute.

"Oh, you won't believe what I learned today," said Apple.

"What would that be?" asked Raven.

"I was in the library during my free pierid and found this book which mentioned a few couples who were different from the typical couples in their stories," said Apple.

"How so?" asked Raven before putting some popcorn in her mouth.

"Apparently there have been times where True Loves turned out to be of the same gender," said Apple. Raven was so surprised by this that she choked on the popcorn.
