it's getting confusing? sorry :)
this is sequel to 'it's okay', so the order would be:
it's okay - mounting regrets - carnal desire
i should've planned to chapter better
it was a sunny day.
the streets were bustling and crowded with many people, chatters and footsteps were the prominent sounds. and an occasional yell of children could be heard as well, sometimes someone would advertise loudly on their products.
the strawhats, using their proud hand-picked disguise, walk down the busy street. it's either a miracle or a lucky thing, but no one seems to bat an eye over their rather poor disguise. mainly the flashing shirts and unnecessary mustache.
"why do we need to go to this island again?" luffy pouted, adjusting her sunglasses.
"did you listen to me!?" nami slapped luffy's head in annoyance. "we need to gather some information and food supply before going to our next island, helping torao."
'law,' he quietly adds. unsurprisingly nobody heard him.
"fine.. but why collect information?" she asked.
"it's essential. we want to make this plan successful, therefore we need to be extra careful and prepared. there's no harm in doing that," she answered.
luffy sighed and didn't reply. the strawhats, minus brook and franky because of their too eye-catching appearance, continued trying to interview the people. they decide to split up, and what better way of picking a partner than using a straw?
sanji looked at the straws on nami's hand intensely, hoping to conjure a spell and would make him pick whatever straw that pairs him with nami. he dramatically takes one straw, and opens his eyes slowly.
it's a short straw.
he scanned the room at inhuman speed to see who had it.
...marimo.
they bicker throughout the whole investigation.
followed by robin and chopper, nami with usopp, luffy got the one with law. they worried for a moment before realising it's probably the best pair they could go on with. with law's seriousness, they can only hope that he manages to tame luffy throughout the whole information gathering and prevent her from causing unwanted attention.
which is likely to happen sooner or later.
both of the d's walk together on the street, keeping an eye on every person and trying to snitch on any information.
"nami, do you think if they investigate together is a good idea?" usopp asked.
"i mean, not really. zoro and sanji never went along with each other, but in desperate situations, they could actually team work together and make good combos," she explained.
usopp shook his head, "no, i meant luffy and law. y'know, i just had a bad feeling that... something would happen if they're together."
nami looked at him incredulously, "i doubt that, but... you have an eerie accuracy on your feelings sometimes. we'll just have to wait and see."
"right," usopp agreed to her. but he can't help but think the amount of work is doubled now. getting information and looking out for luffy... though the latter has always been a mandatory thing since he joined the crew, he supposed.
"law? why are we hiding in an alleyway?"
he ignored her and scanned the area seriously. a couple of marines were patrolling through the area, which doesn't seem much but he doesn't want to cause more trouble.
luffy pouted again and only waited for law to finish whatever he was doing. she crossed her arm and leaned against the wall.
marines were swarming the area now, and he can't help but question why they were all summoned suddenly. perhaps someone reported their appearance in the area? no, it can't be that. they apply disguise already.
but looking at his clothes, and some others, maybe that's how they find out.
he stood next to luffy and let out an exasperated sigh, "we're surrounded. all we can do is hope they leave and not try to search the alleyways further."
they stay like that for a while. law didn't take his time to examine the crew more deeply, and he found himself fixated on luffy's appearance.
she wore a red dress with white inside, as well as a corset on her stomach. damn does she look cute as hell.
"law? what are you staring at?" she noticed how law had been looking at her body for quite some time. he didn't respond and continued staring at her figure. she's confused but slightly flushed at how intense law eyes are.
a beautiful pair of golden eyes, it really looks like a predator glaring at her.
he slowly went closer to her, leaning his body to her face to face. the height difference was big, and it only made the situation more intense. despite the fact, the marines are probably the ones they should be worried about.
law's face is dangerously close to luffy now. her breath hitched, and she stared back at him with wide eyes. the soft pants from law were sending her shivers, but in such a good way she can't explain.
"l-law..?" she whimpers.
without saying anything, he finally locked his lips to her. she shut her eyes tight, confused and afraid of what to do. she tried to push away, but her hand was immediately grabbed by law and she was pushed to the wall. he was rough on kissing her, and she couldn't stop making muffled sounds in an attempt to say something.
"mmph, la–mmh," she moaned. she forgot to breathe and soon ran out of air. law didn't stop, continuing messing with her mouth. she finally remembered and tried to breathe through her mouth, but it was just an opportunity for law to shove his tongue inside.
her mouth is constantly being invaded by law, and little by little she melted to it and submitted to the kiss. she always hated being the one not in control, but now here she is. maybe it's a different case?
law stopped kissing her and pulled their lips apart. heart beating fast, she panted and tried to inhale all that precious oxygen. law panted as well, but not as extreme as luffy's.
her mind was blank, still processing what just happened.
"the marines are gone. let's go."
law called her, and she returned to her senses. still confused and hazy, she decides to follow along with whatever law's doing. they ran back to the streets and tried to manoeuvre themselves to the sunny.
once they all return to the ship, each of them shares any information they've gotten. zoro and sanji unexpectedly collected a lot, and nami and usopp managed to hear some things here and there.
"unfortunately, we didn't find anything. we're too busy hiding from the marines," law said. most of the crew were surprised at how law didn't find anything, as they expected him to work hard and take this seriously. but they shrugged it off, his reason was clear enough.
"i'm surprised luffy didn't cause any ruckus. how did you do it?" usopp asked.
law stared at her, and her cheeks immediately turned red. she panicked and tried to hide it, thankfully law responded before they focused their attention on luffy.
"again, the marines. i guess i reason with her enough so that she stays quiet. it's still a hassle, however," he said nonchalantly.
the crew decided to buy it, and no questions were further asked.
luffy exited the room quickly, she didn't bother to explain where she was going and just wanted to sort her mind out.
really, what just happened?
