Mess With A Vampire Mother And She Will Bite
"Okay, I'm off on a mission," Blaze said to his wife, Roller Brawl.
"Be safe, my flaming fire," she said, kissing him and hugging him.
"I will, my beautiful rose," he said, kissing her back and hugging her too before looking at his daughters. His oldest daughters hugged him while Azula watched from her high chair and the twins were watching from their special wheeled crib Mags and Luminous had made for them. "You girls mind your mother and help her out with your siblings," he said to them.
"Yes, Daddy," Flare said.
"We will, Daddy," Viola said.
"We promise, Daddy," Astrid said.
He kissed their foreheads and then kissed the younger children's foreheads before smiling at them all. "Be good, my little sparks. I'll see you all in a few days."
"We will, Daddy. Be safe," Flare said.
Blaze smiled and headed out, meeting up with some of the other Portal Masters who were joining him while a few stayed at the Academy. Rachel herself was staying at the Academy as her daughter had come down with a cold and she was watching over her. She came to wish the group well. "Be safe and return to us," she said. "Good luck."
"Thanks, Rach," Blaze said before the group headed out.
Later on, Roller decided to take the girls to the shopping district. "Come along," she said to them, putting the babies in the baby carriage built for twins while she put Azula in a special harness that Roller herself wore to carry her. "You three girls stick close to me."
"Yes, Mommy," Astrid said.
They were soon at the shopping district and the three older children stuck close to their mother before Flare noticed some toys that looked interesting. "Mommy, can we look at the toys?" She asked.
Roller Brawl smiled. "Alright," she said.
The girls were immediately interested in the toys from a game called Poppy Playtime. There was Mommy Long Legs, Huggy Wuggy, Bron the Brontosauris, Bunzo Bunny, and PJ Pug-a-Pillar. "These look awesome!" Flare said.
"Can we get these ones, Mommy?" Astrid said, holding up Huggy Wuggy.
Roller looked at the prices and looked a bit pensive when she saw they were expensive. "We can't afford them right now, but we can get them another time, okay?" She said gently. "You girls can get candy today and we'll get these toys next time."
The girls nodded, but looked a bit disappointed. "Okay," Flare said as they put the toys back and followed their mother out of the store.
Little did they know, Kaos was watching and he grinned, getting an idea. "Soon Roller Brawl, you'll be mine," he said as he sneakingly took the toys and headed out, unseen.
The shopping trip went well and the girls were happy to get candy. "Were the toys too expensive right now, Mommy?" Astrid asked.
"I'm afraid so, sweetie, but like I said, we'll get them next time, okay?" She said. "I promise."
"Okay," Astrid said.
When they got home, a package was on the doorstep and Flare saw it. "Look, Mommy!" She said excitedly as she noticed the package was addressed to her and her sisters. "It's for all of us!"
"What?" Roller Brawl asked as she looked at the box and found a note. Picking it up, she read the note.
"A gift for the girls. Hope they enjoy," she read aloud. "Hmm, it's not signed.
She then saw Funny Bone nearby and gave a whistle, to which he came up to them. "Hey, Funny Bone, can you smell this package and make sure it's safe?" She asked.
Nodding, he did so before sitting down. "All's good," he said.
"Thank you," she said. "Flare, you can bring the box inside and we'll open it in the living room."
Once they were inside the house, the girls were waiting almost impatiently as Roller Brawl cut the tape on the box with her claws. "Okay, you girls can do the rest," she said.
The three older girls dove in and gasped happily. "Look, Mommy!" Astrid said, holding up the very same toy she had held up at the toy store.
"The toys we wanted!" Flare said excitedly, holding up Mommy Long Legs.
"Yay!" Viola said, holding up Bron the Brontosauris.
Roller Brawl was surprised. "What?" She asked. "I wonder how these got here."
"You didn't buy them for us, Mommy?" Flare asked in confusion.
"No, I didn't," she said. "I had said we'd get them next time."
"Maybe one of our aunts or uncles?" Astrid said.
"But how did they know we wanted these exact toys?" Flare asked. "We just saw them today."
"Well, it could be one of our family members that wanted to surprise you, but why wouldn't they sign the note?" Roller Brawl asked, feeling a bit confused.
"I wish we knew so that we could thank them," Astrid said.
"Well, I suppose we can ask them later," Roller said with a smile. "For now, you girls can enjoy the toys."
The older girls played with the toys, including their younger siblings into the game and Roller smiled as she watched them all.
But that evening, while they were all in bed and the clock struck midnight, the toys came to life, changing to horrific, nightmare forms. The toys went to the girls' rooms and grabbed them. Flare woke up and screamed, as did Viola and Astrid while the babies began to cry.
Roller Brawl, hearing her babies scream, jolted awake. "Girls!" She said, running to her door but finding it hard to open. "Girls!"
"Mommy!" She heard Flare cry out before all was quiet.
"Girls!" The vampire mother said, distraught.
In the Academy, Rachel sat bolt upright, as did Blastermind, who had been staying in the room and helping Rachel with her daughter. The Tech/Fire Portal Master looked at the magic Trapper, who looked at her. "I think something's wrong," the Portal Master said. "I had a dream that Flare and her sisters were kidnapped by these horrific monsters."
"I did too," Blastermind said before he looked pensive as he closed his eyes, hearing Roller Brawl's panicked cries. He opened his eyes and looked at her. "I don't think it was a dream. Roller Brawl's in a panic."
Rachel got up, throwing on a hoodie over her pajama shirt and deciding her yoga pants she was wearing would be fine as she put on her shoes. "I'll go check on Roller. You wait here," she said.
He nodded and the Tech/Fire Portal Master ran out of the Academy, looking up just in time to see Kaos' giant head laughing as she heard her nieces screaming and crying while the monsters she had seen in her dream took the girls to Kaos' lair. "Kaos," she growled before running to Roller Brawl and Blaze's home, finding the door busted and she ran inside. "Roller! Where are you?" She called out.
"Rachel! I'm in here!" Roller Brawl cried out. "I can't get the door opened!"
Rachel ran to the door Roller was stuck behind and she used her telekinesis to yank the door open, seeing it had been practically glued shut with something like cement. Roller Brawl burst out of the room, running to her children's rooms. "Flare! Viola! Astrid! Azula! Violet! Luna!" She cried in desperation, but didn't see her children.
Rachel went up to her. "Roller, Kaos is behind this," she said. "I saw his giant head and saw these monsters take the girls away."
Roller looked mad before looking around. "Wait, the new toys the girls got," she said, noticing they were gone. "Rachel, did you send the girls some toys? Ones from the Poppy Playtime series?"
"Poppy Playtime?" Rachel said, looking a bit shocked. "That's a horror game, but no, I didn't send the girls any toys."
She then noticed the note and picked it up, noticing something almost too minute to see, but she spotted it. "This paper is from a stationary set," she said. "It looks like...Glumshanks?"
"But...he wouldn't kidnap the girls, right?" Roller asked.
"Unlikely," Rachel said, knowing the green troll had proven he'd never harm the girls. "But Kaos would."
Just then, they heard a throat clearing and saw Glumshanks in the broken doorway and he looked afraid. "Um, I'm sorry, Miss Roller Brawl," he said. "Master Kaos asked me to deliver this to you."
He held out a note and she took it, reading it. Her teeth knashed together. "That scumbag," she said, getting angrier.
Rachel read the note too and she shook her head. "He just made a big mistake," she said. "Glumshanks, are the girls at least unharmed?"
"Yes, but they're scared," he said, looking sad. "He's got them in a room with the toys guarding them."
Rachel nodded. "Show me where that room is," she said before looking at Roller Brawl. "I'll take care of the toys. You show Kaos that if he messes with a vampire mother, he's going to get bitten."
"Oh, I will," Roller Brawl said angrily.
The three headed for Kaos' lair, Glumshanks taking them through a secret entrance. "Just please don't tell Master Kaos I helped you," he pleaded.
"If you keep up your end of the bargain, we keep up our end," Rachel promised him.
They soon came to a hallway and Glumshanks pointed down one hall. "Lord Kaos is that way," he said.
Roller Brawl nodded and skated away, her face one of anger as she was ready to give Kaos a beating.
The troll led Rachel down another hallway and they soon came to a room that was guarded by the toys. Rachel glared and used her telekinesis to pick up the toys. "What did Kaos do?" She asked.
"He used an evil toy spell," Glumshanks said before giving her a piece of paper. "This is the counter spell."
She looked at it and then waved her hand, glad she had been studying under the magic Skylanders and Spellslamzer himself to learn more about the magic element. The toys at once deactivated and she nodded. "I'm getting these out of here," she said. "Keep an eye on the girls until Roller comes back."
He nodded and Rachel left, doing a quick check on Roller Brawl, smiling at what she saw.
Apparently, Kaos had planned a romantic dinner to try and woo Roller Brawl, but she was not having it and she was snarling with her fangs out and she snapped her jaws a few times to try and bite Kaos, which freaked him out as he tried to escape, but was soon pinned down and Roller Brawl bit his arm hard, making him cry out in pain. She then glared at him. "Heed my words well, Kaos," she growled. "Don't you ever come near my children again or next time, I bite your head off."
He whimpered as he shook in fear, seeing he had awoken the protective mama bear side of the undead skater. She snapped her jaws at him again and he flinched, crying now as she stood up and took a deep breath, wiping her face with a grimace before heading away, leaving Kaos there as she ran to find her daughters.
Glumshanks saw her coming and he motioned to inside a room, where she burst inside. "Girls!" she said, relieved to see them.
"Mommy!" Her older daughters cried out, running up to her and hugging her. She hugged them and kissed their foreheads, glad they were okay. She then hugged and kissed her babies' foreheads too.
"Oh, thank goodness you're all okay," she said before turning to Glumshanks. "Where's Rachel?"
"She took the dismantled toys and headed out," he said.
She nodded before looking at him. "Thank you," she said. "You took a risk helping us."
"I would never harm your daughters, Miss Roller Brawl," he said before looking pensive. "I'd rather not make you or your husband angry."
She smiled before nodding. "Well, I'm going to get my girls home," she said.
"I'll come fix the front door for you," he said.
Soon after, the girls were home safe and tucked back into bed while Glumshanks and Rachel fixed the door and Roller Brawl got an idea. "Rachel, can you do me a favor?" She asked.
"What's up?" Rachel asked.
"Can you and Mags do what Kaos did, only without a spell?"
The Tech/Fire Portal Master grinned. "You got it," she said.
It wasn't too long after Kaos had cleaned up the mess and was grumbling over another failed attempt when he saw a box on the floor and he opened it, only to find it was the toys he had gotten for his evil plan. Just then, the toys grew to their monsterous sizes and roared, making Kaos shriek and run as the toys came after him.
A few days later...
Blaze returned, happy to be home from his mission and he entered the house, smiling as he saw his family was in the living room. He noticed Roller Brawl looked pleased as punch and was wondering why. Astrid saw him and gasped.
"Daddy!" She said, running up to him as her older sisters ran up to their father too, hugging him and welcoming him home.
"Hello, my little sparks," he said with a smile.
"Daddy, you should have seen Mommy! She took care of stinky Kaos again!" Flare said excitedly. "He tried to kidnap us with some toys, but Mommy came and she made him really sorry! He was crying worse than a baby!"
Blaze looked at his wife, who smiled. "Kaos kidnapped the girls to try and get me to himself, but he learned quick that if he messes with me, I'll bite him," she said.
He smiled. "I knew you could hold your own, but I'm impressed," he said.
Just then, a knock came at the door and he opened it to see Rachel there and she smiled. "Hey, hope you guys don't mind me dropping by," she said.
"Not at all," he said with a smile as he let her in and she came into the living room. The girls greeted their aunt happily before growing curious at the box, to which Rachel smiled.
"I know how much you girls liked the toys, so your aunt Mags and I got these for you girls," she said, pulling out the same toys that the girls had wanted. The girls looked a bit pensive, but Rachel smiled. "Don't worry, these don't have a bad spell on them. Your uncle Spellslamzer put a spell on these toys so that Kaos can't tamper with them," she said.
Hearing that, the girls grew less pensive and were soon enjoying the toys. Rachel smiled and looked at her two best friends. "There's protective runes on them," she said. "I personally asked Spellslamzer to do that and he was more than glad to do so after hearing what Kaos did."
"Thank you," Roller Brawl said with a smile.
"Think we'll have some quiet time from Kaos for a bit?" Blaze asked.
Rachel nodded. "For a little while anyway," she said.
The girls continued playing with their toys, the atmosphere happy and calm once more.
