Dear Uncle Alphard,
I am no longer speaking to Shafiq and Fawley. They were friends with Tonks, McKinnon and Faith, behind my back!
I had the most peculiar conversation with Tonks, the muggle-born, yesterday. I was practicing my flute and he walked in and told me that my former friends missed me. He also told me that I played beautifully. I wonder if he still does music, since he was in choir.
I can not wait to see you at Christmas very soon. I do not know what to do with the presents I got for Shafiq and Fawley.
Sincerely,
Andromeda Black
She sent it off with Aster, and went down to the Great Hall for breakfast. They would be leaving for Christmas break that day, but she had to tell her uncle what was happening in her life.
"Teddy, I just wanted to say that I'm so so sorry for making you do all the work this past month. I'm so sorry!" Gwen said.
"It's okay, Gwen. I really didn't mind, but it is nice to have you back to normal again,"
"I'm so embarrassed," She said putting her face in her hands.
"You're fine, Dolly," Edith said, with eggs in her mouth.
"Ted, what do you think our chances of winning the Quidditch Cup this year are?" Edith asked Ted.
"I don't think we'll win, but I think we'll put up a good fight,"
"C'mon Ted you're the best chaser in our school!"
They continued to argue about which house would win the Quidditch Cup, all morning, much to Gwen's annoyance.
"'Meda! It's Saturday, let's go out and do something!" Narcissa said, bothering her in the common room.
"'Cissy, I want to stay inside today,"
Bellatrix walked up to her sisters, the Lestranges close behind her.
"Andromeda is never going to do anything with you 'Cissy. Do you want to go down and scare the groundskeeper's chickens with us 'Meda?" Bellatrix asked.
"No, not really,"
"We could play exploding snap?" Rabastan said.
"I'd like that," Narcissa's friend said.
"Do you want to, 'Meda?" The youngest Black asked.
"Okay, I will play,"
So they all played Exploding Snap. They laughed when it blew up in Kerry's face making her hair stick up on end.
"I am going to win," Andromeda muttered, Rabastan heard her.
"Not if I can help it," He smiled and looked into her eyes after he said it. Andromeda was confused, but she didn't let her face betray her.
They played and played until Narcissa said:
"We need to stop playing," her cheeks were flushed from all the laughing, "We have to get ready to leave tomorrow!"
They all went upstairs and packed their things.
"I saw Andromeda yesterday," Ted told Edith and Gwen late in the Hufflepuff dormitory, "I wanted to say it earlier, but I couldn't find the time,"
Inaya, Mason, Edith, Ted and Gwen had gone outside and played on the hill. Inaya and Mason argued about their Arithmancy project, while Edith, Ted and Gwen rolled on the hill.
"What happened? What did she say?" Edith asked, Gwen stayed quiet.
"She was practicing the flute, like Inaya said,"
"What did you tell her?" Gwen asked.
"I told her how you and Inaya missed her, and wanted to see her,"
"What did she say?" Edith asked again.
"She asked a lot of questions. She seemed a bit confused. I think she lied a little,"
"Are you going home for Christmas?" Gwen said changing the subject.
"I am, I really miss my parents and Jim,"
"Mostly Jim," Edith whispered and Ted elbowed her.
"Ow! I'm staying, and you, Gwen?" Edith said.
"I'm staying too,"
There was a small pause.
"Well I'm off to bed. Goodnight," Ted said getting up to go to his dormitory.
"Goodnight," the girls said together.
Andromeda opened her eyes. It was time to go home. She got dressed and picked up her bag which was already on the train.
"Milky we have to go now," She said picking up the cat.
Milky-Way was a grey and white cat with long fur that shed everywhere. Her eyes were blue, and they looked extremely intelligent.
"You are the best cat in the world, Milky," She said petting the cat while she purred.
She took her trunk and went to get on the train.
"Send us presents Ted!" Gwen called from the platform.
"Gwen you got me a quill, don't expect anything better than socks!" He yelled through a train window.
"It was last minute and that quill is amazing!"
"Have a Happy Christmas Ted and Naya!" Edith called.
"See you guys soon!" Inaya called, Mason just waved.
The train started, they were going home.
