Ten-year-old Ash Ketchum was lying on his bed trying to sleep but he was too excited about getting his first Pokémon partner in the morning.

The next morning, he was woken up by his six-year-old little sister Allie, begging him to take her with him. Finally, he agreed and they raced out the door.

Professor Oak was surprised to see them because they were early. "Well, your early, right this way." He said. He led them down a hallway, where they three poke balls in the next room but they were being watched.

"I choose Squirtle!" he said reaching for the poke ball but it was gone! "Charmander?" he asked reaching for the other poke ball but it was gone too! "then I choose Bulbasaur! Ash proclaimed reaching for the third and last poke ball, but it was gone too! But suddenly another poke ball appeared. "I choose that one!" Ash again proclaimed. "Pika?" Pikachu?" A cute bright yellow mouse-like Pokémon with fluffy red cheeks said coming out into the open and jumping onto Ash's shoulder.

Then Gary Oak the Professor's grandson came into the room. "why did you choose that one?" he asked. "I didn't he choose me!" Ash replied. Then Gary saw the poke balls on the floor and started to laugh.

Professor Oak placed the poke balls back on the table. "I choose Squirtle!" Gary proclaimed. But again, the poke balls were gone! A cute brown-eyed Pokémon called Eevee came out into the open and hopped on Gary's shoulder. After the professor had given both boys their poke balls and Pokedex and had given toy versions to Allie, including a stuffed Chimchar, a boy came in carrying his four-year-old little sister Lillie on his shoulders. "Gladion, right on time." The professor said. For the third time, he put the poke balls back on the table. But once again they were replaced with a different poke ball.

A Treeco emerged and clung to Gladion's legs. Lillie let out a squeal of delight. All three boys tried to return their Pokémon but all of them refused. Professor Oak gave Gladion his Pokedex and balls and gave Lillie a stuffed aipom and toy Pokedex and balls.

Lillie squealed in delight and all three trainers left the lab and went their separate ways. Or at least they tried to, but they were all going in the same direction! The three boys decided to travel together.

They were about to go when they heard someone calling Ash's name. when they turned around, they saw a pretty blue-haired and-eyed, seven-year-old girl holding Ash's backpack. It was Ash's little sister Dawn, "Ash, you forgot your backpack again!" "Momma sent me to take care of you." Dawn explained. "mom!" Ash complained. "yay!" "yay!" "yay!" Allie exclaimed over and over and over again. Lillie giggled.

Hours later, the six of them stopped for lunch. "ME, HUNGRY!" Lillie exclaimed. The three boys cheeked their bags. Gary and Gladion found nothing, but Ash found enoug0h to last the six of them months, that Dawn had put there. "What would you do without me? Dawn teased.

As Ash pulled out four tents and eight sleeping bags just in case. Dawn had a bag of her own which she kept extra close for her and for Allie who would jump in any mud puddle in sight. The sun was going down by the time they finished their extremely late lunch. So, they put up the tents. One for Gladion and Lillie, one for Ash, and one for Dawn and Allie. Dawn and Allie's tent was bright pink.

Lillie had already fallen asleep and Dawn and Allie were on the verge of falling asleep. After putting their little sisters to bed the three boys watched the stars reflecting on their day until they fell asleep.

The next morning, Gladion woke up to find that Lillie had crawled in with him in the middle of the night. Ash and Dawn were already up.

Dawn was making breakfast because Ash is a terrible cook. Dawn was making pancakes. But Ash was watching her closely because he was afraid, she might burn herself. Dawn was making some mini pancakes in fun shapes for Lillie so she could eat a whole pancake.

"Look a Tauros!" "I can ride that!" Ash cried after breakfast. Ash's dream is to become a Pokéracer champion. "Pikachu, use thundershock!" Ash called. "Pika!" "Chuuuuuuuuuu!" Pikachu said letting out a powerful thundershock and knocking Tauros out.

Ash threw his poke ball and caught Tauros. "you better start training, Ash the race is in two days." Dawn commented. Ash began to train while Gary and Gladion packed up camp and Dawn and Allie entertained Lillie. Then it was time to go.

Two hours later the town that was holding the race was in sight. Two minutes later they were at the Pokémon Center Ash was training on a nearby track and Lillie was taking a nap. Ash and Tauros were zooming down the race track. Boy can Tauros run!

Before they knew it Dawn came and told them it was dinner time! They missed lunch! Ash's stomach rumbled. When they got back Allie was covered from head to toe in mud! Allie is a tomboy; she hates dresses and other girly stuff (Including their bright pink tent.)

She and Dawn could pass as identical twins because their only one year apart but, they could not be more different. Dawn loves dresses and girly stuff and is a good cook. Allie just like Ash is a terrible cook. After Allie had a bath and they had dinner they went to bed. Lillie insisted that her bed be by Gladion's bed.

One the day of the race Ash was up early to train. But it was not long before the horn was blown to call all racers to the starting line. The others watched in the stans and Ash and Tauros headed to the starting line. Ash looked down the line. There were Ponyta, Rapidash, Dodreo, and Ryhorn. As well as other Tauros.

The horn was blown and they were off! They took off down the race track. Ash knew he had to win six ribbons to get into the Master race. He urged Tauros to go faster, they were gaining on the leading Rapidash, and they were nearing the finish line.

With a final burst of speed, they barely won by the tip of a tusk. "We did it Tauros!" Ash exclaimed to his Pokémon. Ash could hardly believe it even when they were getting ready to leave the town, but they did. Ash and his friends left ready for whatever exciting new journey was heading their way. Or are they?
