A Halloween Engagement

A Sequel To Tricked and Treated

"Good morning, Princess," Drew murmured, kissing your shoulder as you slowly woke to sunlight filtering through your window shades.

"Morning," you said with a soft groan. You both raised up in the bed, and got up, ready to start your day. Then it occurred to you.

"It's Halloween," you announced.

"That it is," Drew said. "Happy Halloween, my love."

"Happy Halloween," you smiled. "It's been a year exactly since we became a couple."

"I know it," he grinned as he moved over to the dresser and began pulling his hair back into a ponytail with a black hairband. His dimples flashed and you could not help standing next to him and pecking a light kiss to his lips. "I love you."

"I love you too."

You couldn't believe that so much had happened in the past year. You went from loathing Drew McIntyre to falling head over heels in love with him and then you moved in with him when he asked, six months into your relationship.

He'd surprised you at the Halloween party last year, and now...

Now… you glanced down at your still flat stomach. You had a surprise for him this Halloween.

You couldn't wait to tell him.

"After breakfast, I've got to get to the gym," he was telling you. "I'll be back as soon as I can."

"Be sure you're not too tired for the party tonight."

"Never, sweetheart. It's our anniversary. I wouldn't miss that for the world."

So with that, you both got dressed for your day and went downstairs to start your breakfast.

Together, you cooked a big breakfast of scrambled eggs, pancakes, sausage links and toast. Finally, you sat down to eat.

Once breakfast was over, Drew grabbed his gym bag and with a soft kiss to your mouth, he left. You took on the task of cleaning the kitchen back up and preparing your costume for the annual WWE company party that night.

"Be sure More than Words plays at some point tonight," Drew was saying to the DJ. "I need that song to play while I propose to my girlfriend."

"Got it," the DJ replied. "I'll que it up in the playlist so that it will be sure and play. I'll set it to play about an hour into the party."

"Sounds good," Drew commented. "Thanks a lot, man."

"Not a problem."

Drew went and helped the ladies decorating for the party-they needed someone tall to handle the lights and stringing up the balloons. So Drew, Omos, and Damian Priest got elected to handle those preparations.

"Don't go skimpy on the lights, but don't go overboard either," instructed Natalya. "It's got to be perfect."

"Yes, we heard the first hundred times," Drew uttered under his breath, to which Omos and Damian chuckled.

The men and women all continued decorating till the venue looked amazing.

Purple lighting had been set up and black balloon garlands were all over the room. Buffet style tables had been set up with bowls of candy, and soon to be plates of horderves and mini sandwiches.

"It looks so great," Natalya exclaimed along with Bayley, Nia, and Sasha.

"It's going to be so much fun!" Alexa Bliss added. "Last year's party was amazing, but this looks like it will be off the chain!"

"Well, if we're no longer needed, I'm going to get home to the girlfriend. She thinks I was working out at the gym, so I need to be getting back."

"Oh, lying to her already," Nia teased. "Shame on you."

"It's part of her surprise for tonight, give me a break."

"What's her surprise?" The women all wanted to know immediately.

"Oh, no! If I want it to remain a surprise I'm not telling the lot o' ya anything!" He shook his head and flashed his dimples. "No, you'll all just have to be surprised along with Y/N."

The women grumbled, but secretly realized Drew was telling the truth. If they knew what the surprise was they'd likely-albeit unintentionally-spill the beans.

Drew said his goodbyes then and headed for the venue's exit so he could get home to Y/N.

The drive home took about thirty minutes because he stopped to get them a late bite of lunch to have.

"Honey, I'm home," you heard him call out, as he entered your home. Setting his gym bag down in the foyer, he carried a bag of T.G.I. Fridays into the kitchen and set it on the tiled island. "Babe?"

"Right here," you called, bounding down the stairs toward him. You kissed his mouth lightly.

"I'm starved. You read my mind," you giggled, eyeing the takeout bag. "How about we eat?"

Drew nodded, and began setting the dining table.

Once you were both finished with the meal, you both ran up the stairs to get ready for the party.

Drew got dressed in his warlock costume complete with a mysterious hood, while you pulled on the black, leather one-piece cat suit that clung to your figure. Both your costumes complimented each other perfectly.

"You won't blame me for getting into any fights, will you," Drew asked, eyeing your costume.

Your forehead furrowed with confusion. "What do you mean?"

"Dressing like that is going to turn plenty of male heads, Princess. I'm gonna be busy fighting them all night."

"Listen, big guy," you started, walking up to him and placing your arms around his neck-you were finally tall enough to do that thanks to the heels you were wearing. "I only have eyes for you, so fighting is not necessary." You finished your mini speech with a soft kiss to his mouth. "I won't dance with anyone but the other females, and you. How does that sound?"

"It sounds doable," Drew amended, returning your kiss.

"Good. Now I better get on my hair and makeup," you replied with a smile, heading over to your vanity. Drew went downstairs to wait on you.

Within an hour your hair and makeup was completed. You went downstairs to let Drew know you were ready. When he spotted you he froze. Apparently he was having second thoughts about your costume all over again upon seeing your hair and heavy makeup.

"I don't know about that costume, love. Maybe we should stay here…"

"Oh quit," you giggled. "Everyone would wonder where we were."

"True." Drew said with a look of frustration.

"You've got absolutely nothing to worry about, Drew. Come on."

"All right, Princess."

That being settled, you both walked out to the car and Drew drove you both to the party's venue. After Drew helped you out of the car, you both headed into the venue and took in the sights of the party.

"I love it," you exclaimed, looking around and smiling. You grabbed Drew's hand, pulling him to the dance floor and began dancing around to a modern rap version of the Monster Mash. It was actually quite hideous but had a good beat for dancing.

Drew clowned around the whole time. He had no issues with slow dancing but he absolutely hated fast dancing. Still, he did it for you.

The next hour passed quickly, and you were wondering when and how to give him the news of your surprise when More Than Words began playing over the sound system. You smiled up at Drew curious to see if he knew what you were thinking.

More than words had played during your first dinner date with Drew, so it quickly was adopted as your song.

To your dismay however, Drew walked away from you.

What in the world?

Was something bad coming?

Curious, you watched as he grabbed a mic from the DJ and came back to you. More Than Words quietened down a bit so you could hear Drew clearly.

"Well, Princess, a year has passed since we got together. And I'm more sure now than ever, that I want to spend the rest of my life with you." He got down on one knee and pulled out a black velvet box. Flipping open the lid, he revealed a pear cut diamond ring.

Your hands shot up to cover your mouth as Drew spoke again, "Will you marry me? Be my princess for real?"

Without even having to think about it, you nodded. "Y-yes!"

Drew held the mic to your lips, "Ya wanna say that again so everyone can hear that you are officially mine?"

"Yes," You said again into the microphone. Then?

Then the whole venue erupted in cheers, whistles and hoots of mirth. All the guys began slapping Drew on the back and congratulating him while the ladies all hugged you close and some were even crying.

Then you took the microphone from Drew as he placed the ring on your finger. "I have a surprise for you as well," you said, smiling softly.

Fighting off hormonal tears, you spoke again. "For the past year, I'm the happiest I've ever been. And it's all been because of you, Drew. So, I have a little happy surprise for you…" You paused for a moment, working up your nerve and noticed how everyone seemed to be holding their breath for your announcement.

"I'm pregnant."

"OH, MY GOD!" The female roster screamed out in surprise.

Drew pulled you into his arms and kissed you senseless right there in front of everyone. "For real?" He asked when he pulled back. "We're really having a baby?"

"Cross my heart," You said, etching an X over your heart with your finger.

"Baby, I'm so happy!" He picked you up and whirled around with you. "We're gonna be the best parents," he exclaimed.

"We are," you giggled, hugging him back. "We really are!"

"Well, let's turn this into an Halloween-slash-Engagement-slash-Baby Announcement party y'all," Big E whooped. "Break out some champagne!"

"None for me," you reminded him with a laugh. "Club soda will work!"

Everyone soon had drinks in their hands and toasted to the both of you for a happy marriage and a healthy child.

"We have the best of friends," you said, taking a sip of your club soda.

"That we do, Princess," Drew agreed.

The night could not get any better. You sighed happily as Drew pulled you into his arms for a slow dance. You eyed your engagement ring and smiled. Life was so good.
