Today's Lesson: Waiting in Line

On a sunny afternoon, Eda and Luz stood in line waiting for their chance to enter the isle's most hottest (and family friendly) club to ever exist; "The Salem Club"!

Luz has heard many exciting things regarding this establishment such as it's groovy dance floor with a giant disco skull hanging from the ceiling (like a disco ball but it's a skull of a demon with reflective plates plastered on it), fun games such as an assortment of arcades and the classic pin the tail on the jersey devil, and food that's absolutely to die for!

Some quite literal actually...

Though the only problem that Luz faces is how long the line is. She looks past the people in front of her to see the her and Eda's place are still around seven minutes away from the door.

Luz sighed in annoyance as she wished there was some way she can just... get in front of this line.

Suddenly, the familiar mocking laughter from one Emperor Belos came within earshot. The villain along with two of his guards followed along behind him as he walked past everyone in line.

"Are you all really standing in line like a bunch of peasants? How idiotic." Belos mocked as he continued to cut in line much to the unheard complaints from everyone.

Luz glared at Belos for his constant rudeness. Though despite being her enemy, she did notice how easy it is for him to just simply cut through the line.

Luz looked ahead again to see there was some space between the monster if front of her and the other creature in front of them. Maybe she can just sneak ahead without anyone noticing?

As Luz took a step she was immediately stopped when a firm hand gripped her shoulder.

"Going somewhere?" Eda asked with a knowing expression.

"Oh, I-I was just gonna... Uhh." Luz muttered trying to find the right words but was cut off by Eda.

"You were going to cut, weren't you?" Eda asking as she already knew the answer but wanted to hear Luz admit it.

"Yes." Luz replied simply, looking away.

Eda sighed. "Kid, I get that waiting in line can be a drag, but at least you're waiting your turn. The only thing you'll achieve by forcing yourself into another's place is making yourself look like a jerk."

Luz hung her head. "You're right. I'm sorry."

Eda smiled and patted Luz's shoulder.

"That's alright. Besides, I got an official line skip card!" Eda revealed as she shows that she is indeed in possession of a line skip card.

Luz's eyes lit up in astonishment.

"Now let's go!" Eda said as she and Luz mounted her staff and flew all the way in front of the line.

Once landing, Eda and Luz were just in time to see Belos and his two guards were forcefully kicked out of the club's entrance by a big demon bouncer.

"And don't come back, line cutter!" the bouncer roared.

Belos got up from the ground and started to throw a tantrum.

"This isn't fair! I'm the emperor; you don't kick me out from anywhere. I'll get you for this!" Belos threatened before retreating back to his castle.

"Remember Luz; even if lines take a long time, you're at least showing some decency by waiting like everyone else. Don't be ignorant like Belos by making things harder for yourself."

Eda then showed the bouncer her line card which he nodded upon seeing and stepped aside allowing Eda and Luz to go inside.

Today was the most fun Luz has ever had here. And that's saying something!
