Rose's POV
As I was sitting with my friends at the asphalt café, I was thinking about how to tell them I was leaving in a week. I had to tell them, they'd hate me if I left without saying goodbye.
"Rose. Hello? Anyone in there?" Andre joked.
"Huh?" I asked.
"He asked you if you were performing this Friday," Jade said.
'Maybe I could tell them through song' I thought.
"Yeah, but I'm changing my song," I said.
"Why? The song you picked is fine," Tori said.
"I know but I wanna change it to something meaningful," I said.
"Okay, what are you hiding?" Jade asked.
"Nothing, but can you guys promise me something?" I asked.
"Yeah" they replied but had a questionable look.
"Can you guys be up there with me?" I asked.
"I thought you were over your stage fright," Andre asked.
I ignored him.
"Please," I pleaded.
"Of course," they said.
I got up and left. If I didn't, I would have cried right then and there.
Tori's POV
"Did she seem weird to you guys?" I asked.
"Yeah. It's almost like she's keeping something from us," Andre said.
"Oh, yesterday I heard her singing a song. It sounded beautiful," Cat said.
"Do you remember what some of the lyrics were?" Beck asked.
"So here's my vow,
starting from here and now,
nothing comes between us
Nothing comes between us," but after that, she started crying," Cat said.
"That song almost sounds like she's trying to tell someone goodbye," Andre said.
"I heard her on the phone the other day, she told someone 'no, I didn't tell them yet' and said 'I can't just leave without a goodbye, they'll hate me'" Robbie said.
"Wait, leave?" Jade asked.
"I think we just figured out what she's hiding," Andre said.
"And the only way she was gonna tell us, was through song," I said.
"We need to find her," Jade said.
"No, I know her, if we confront her, she'll lie about it," Andre said.
"Is that why she wanted us all to be up there with her? So once we got the message of the song, we'd know?" I asked.
"Why didn't she just tell us instead of writing a stupid song?" Jade asked.
"Maybe cause she's afraid we wouldn't want to be her friends anymore?" I questioned.
"Well, we have to keep the promise to her," Cat said.
"She's right. Remember the day of the beach, when Cat went to the bathroom, she put a portable mini fridge in the RV with water, and had fans as well?" Beck asked.
"Yeah, we owe her," I said.
"Do you guys think she's practicing her song right now?" Andre asked.
"Probably. Why?" I asked.
"I'm gonna see if I can catch her in the act to have her tell me. Only because what if she starts crying during it. All the audience is gonna hear is the melody," Andre said.
"So, you want to learn the song, to help her?" Robbie asked.
"Yeah," Andre said.
"I'll come with you," I said.
He nodded.
"Let us know what happens," Cat said.
"We will," I said.
Rose's POV
I started practicing the pre chorus of the song in the music room
'Damn, we got history (yeah)
In all these sweet melodies (yeah)
Lived every victory
Yeah, we got synergy
If they hurt you, they're hurting me
Yeah, that's just the way it is
We walked through the fire
And as the flames got higher
Yeah, it made us survivors
Yeah, it made us fighters, fighters'
I stopped cause it hurt to much to continue.
"Who's that song for?" A voice said.
I turned around and there stood Andre and Tori.
"What are you guys doing here?" I asked feeling myself becoming emotional.
"We know," Andre said.
"Know about what?" I asked.
"That your moving," he said.
"Are you guys mad?" I asked.
"No. But by judging how that song is hard for you to sing by yourself," he trailed off.
"Do you want some help performing it?" Tori asked, speaking for the first time.
"This song was suppose to be for you and the others. I wanted to sing it as a solo," I said.
"We'll only fill in if you feel like your gonna cry during it," Tori said.
"Then, I'd like that," I said.
Then I thought about something.
"Do the others know?" I asked.
"No. Only us," Andre said.
I nodded.
"So, can we hear the whole song?" Andre asked.
Before I could respond, the bell rang.
"Meet me here at lunch tomorrow and I'll show you guys," I said.
They nodded and we went to sikowits's class.
