The Chang family members' house/Adelaide's bedroom
(Some wild birds are heard chirping outside Adelaide's bedroom window. and Adelaide is whistling the Animaniacs theme tune while straightening up her toys and books and things on her book and toy shelves. and Sid hears it in her own bedroom.)
Sid: "I wonder exactly where that peculiar whistling is coming from."
(Sid exits her bedroom. and she walks around on her way to Adelaide's bedroom. and Adelaide stops whistling for a bit.)
Adelaide: "good morning, Sid. I was just getting my toys and books and things all straightened up."
Sid: "I already know that. and you were also whistling to yourself."
Adelaide: "it helps me to concentrate when I'm whistling while walking or working. but not eating. 'cause I might end up spitting sandwich material all over the place."
Sid: "well? apparently, that's one super good way to concentrate on super hard work."
Adelaide: "that's exactly right. now come on downstairs with me. and we'll discuss about this over at the breakfast meal table."
Sid: "okay, Adelaide. super good idea."
(Sid and Adelaide go right downstairs to the breakfast meal table. Later on at the breakfast meal table, Adelaide is now whistling Old MacDonald Had a Farm. and Sid, Becca, Stanley and Melbourne are super incredibly amazed.)
Becca and Stanley: "super impressive."
Sid: "you're super good at whistling, Adelaide."
Melbourne (applauding): "bwavo! bwavo!"
Sid: "tell us about exactly how you learned how to whistle in the first place."
Adelaide: "well. it all began a little while back when you and I lived in Great Lakes City together as always."
(Flashback sequence, Adelaide's old apartment bedroom. Adelaide hears some of the girls in her class whistling to themselves.)
Adelaide: "I'm hearing lots of whistling out there. I wonder exactly who it could be."
(Adelaide goes right outside to find April and Olivia whistling Mary Had a Little Lamb. and she tries to do so. but she can only blow and sputter at the exact same time.)
April: "hi there, Adelaide."
Olivia: "what's that you're doing?"
Adelaide: "can you girls teach me exactly how to whistle the way you both do?"
April: "it's real super easy."
Olivia: "just try to pucker your adorably cute lips then blow all of it out."
(Adelaide puckers her adorably cute lips. then she blows and sputters again. but no whistling sound comes right out her mouth.)
Adelaide: "nothing happened. I don't even think any whistling sound's coming out."
April: "just try to keep practicing."
Olivia: "you'll get the hang of it in the nick of time."
Adelaide: "okay. I guess I'll keep practicing 'til I get the hang of it for now."
(Adelaide walks around on her way back home to the apartment, still blowing and sputtering. and Sid and the others notice her.)
Sid: "what are you doing, Adelaide?"
Adelaide: "April and Olivia were both whistling when I heard them. I tried super hard to do it. but I can't even whistle."
Ronnie Anne: "you really mean you're still not able to whistle at all?"
Adelaide: "I tried super hard to do it. now matter how soft or hard I blow all of it out."
Laird: "never mind about it."
Nikki: "just keep trying and trying."
Adelaide: "I think there might be some other ways for me to learn how to whistle."'
Sid: "try this one."'
Adelaide: "what exactly is the super best way?"
Sid: If you're happy and you know it
whistle loud
(Sid does a super loud three finger whistle. much to Adelaide's surprise and amazement.)
Adelaide: "wow, Sid. can you teach me how to do a super loud whistle just like that?"
Sid: "why sure, Adelaide. of course I can. and you only need one arm and two fingers to do it."
Adelaide: "how exactly do you do it?"
Sid: "you take your three fingers, then you put them right into your mouth and give it a go."
Adelaide: "you mean just like that?"
(Adelaide puts all three of her fingers in her mouth. and she's still blowing and sputtering. but to no avail.)
Adelaide: "it didn't even work. I can't even whistle your own way neither. I'm never gonna be able to do it at all."
(Adelaide goes right back inside the apartment and all the way up to her bedroom.)
Stanley: "is there something terribly wrong, Adelaide honey pie?"
Adelaide: "I don't wanna go out there again."
Becca (entering Adelaide's bedroom): "why not, sweetie cakes?"
Adelaide: "Sid, April and Olivia can suddenly whistle in many different ways. but I can't."
Stanley: "well? whether you can actually whistle or not, they're your brave, fearless and heroic sister and super good friends."
Adelaide: "I practiced lots of times. and it doesn't even work at all."
(Sid brings Adelaide a coloring book. but it's all dusted up.)
Sid: "here, Adelaide. you should just rest a bit. try coloring in your coloring book."
(Adelaide blows the dust particles off her coloring book. she continues blowing a bit harder then softer. 'til she lets out a real whistling sound.)
Adelaide: "oh my gosh. did I just whistle?"
Sid: "I think you just did."
(Adelaide begins whistling the fourteen notes of the Toreador from Bizet's Carmen.)
Adelaide: "I can finally do it. I can finally whistle now."
(Adelaide walks around on her way downstairs to the living room. and she begins whistling the fifteen notes of Beethoven's Ode to Joy)
(End of flashback memory sequence...)
Adelaide: "and that's exactly how I learned how to whistle in the first place."
(Adelaide hears peculiar voices from outside.)
Lana (off screen): "hey, Adelaide!"
Lola (off screen): "come outside!"
Adelaide: "now I wonder exactly what Lana and Lola could want from me."
(Adelaide goes right outside to see Lana and Lola with grass blades.)
Adelaide: "what are you girls doing?"
Lana: "we're gonna have a grass blade whistling competition."
Adelaide: "that sounds super fun and thrilling. what exactly do you do around here?"
Lola: "it's real super easy, Adelaide."
Lana: "just pick a blade of grass that's real super long enough and put it up to your mouth. then blow on it a bit."
(Adelaide picks a super long blade of grass. while Lana and Lola whistle loudly with theirs. and Adelaide does the exact same thing as well too.)
Adelaide: "see? I can even whistle in many different ways. especially with grass blades."
Lana: "so what other talents do you have besides whistling, Adelaide?"
Adelaide: "so far, there's ballet dancing, martial arts karate, playing pretend, humming, reciting poetry, doing picture drawings and paintings and karaoke singing as well too."
Lola: "wow. you got all seven of those talents."
Lana: "we need to tell everybody in Royal Woods about it."
(Later on outside the Santiago and Casagrande family members' houses, Adelaide is whistling E-I-E-I-O. much to Bobby, Ronnie Anne, Maria, Rosa, Hector, Frida, Carlos, CJ, Carl, Carlota and Carlitos' amazement.)
Carl: "wow! super incredibly amazing!"
CJ: "do it backwards, Adelaide."
(Adelaide begins whistling O-I-E-I-E.)
Ronnie Anne: "super good job, Adelaide."
Bobby: "now try doing it much more faster."
(Adelaide begins whistling E-I-E-I-O super-fast.)
CJ (with blue stars in his eyes): "now that's real super heavenly."
Ronnie Anne: "I'll tell you exactly what, Adelaide. we got a super good idea for you."
Carlota: "some of the street cats are on the loose."
Carl: "so if you see them, we would like for you to whistle to get them stop in their tracks."
Adelaide: "got it, Carl."
(Meanwhile near the city street alley where Mr. Wiggles and the street cats live, Adelaide is preparing to whistle the signal.)
CJ: "okay, Adelaide. now's your chance."
(Mr. Wiggles and the street cats come right over. and they're about to attack them.)
Adelaide: "I know exactly what to do around here."
(Adelaide puts all three fingers in her mouth. and she whistles real super loud. and Mr. Wiggles and the street cats stop right in their tracks.)
Carl: "whoa, Adelaide! you sure got some super good whistle power!"
Adelaide: "it sure does keep them in proper control. now come on, Lana and Lola. let's all three of us whistle all the way back home to our own separate houses."
Lana: "okay, Adelaide."
Lola: "you said it."
(Lana, Lola and Adelaide walk around with one another on their way back home to their separate houses while whistling Mary Had a Little Lamb. and they go right inside their own separate houses while Adelaide winks at the viewers with her left eye. and it fades to another black screen.)
