"Oh my Gawsh! Rhyme! Look what just pulled up!" Trixie, one of the few friends Rhyme made at her school, gushed.

"Wow, look at that limo!" Mina Sarahara told her twin sister, Mana, "It's bigger than ours!"

"It's headed for the high school parking lot." Mana observed

"Let's catch it!"

The four girls followed the many other curious students to the high school parking lot. Rhyme spotted Neku, Eri, and Shiki in the crowd. She was surprised to find the headphone-wearing teen had a scowl of annoyance on his face, and a nervous look on Shiki's. She was not suprized to see Eri drooling. The girl Shiki had borrowed her Game look from was known as a shameless gold digger, and from the look of that long vehical...there was quite the amount of gold to be dug up.

The beast of a car finally parked, and the door on the drivers side opened to reveal a very familiar face to three of the many students that were crowded around. Neku's scowl deepened as the smart-dressed, orange-blond went to the back and opened one of the doors.

"Thank you, Kariya."

Rhyme felt her heart skip a beat. She knew that voice!

Sure enough, out came the Composer of Shibuya, dressed in school uniform and making it look snazzy. He noticed the crowd, and flipped his hair with a smirk and a giggle. At least one-third of the ladies present had a nice faint. Rhyme was almost one of them, but for a whole different reason, she was quite positive.

"Oh my GOSH!" Mina exclaimed "It's a Kiryu!"

"No!" another rich girl said "It's THE Kiryu! What's he doing back in Shibuya? Last I heard, he was taking a vaycay in the Bahamas. For like, a year!"

"Must be nice having your own company." Someone less fortunate muttered.

Neku was doing his share of muttering. Rhyme moved so she could be with the small group of peers.

"The hell is he doing here?! Can't he be content running the afterlife? He has to come and intertfere directly with our RG lives, too?"

"Maybe he's just seeing the sights, you know, like some kings do?" Shiki guessed.

"Maybe he's just HOT!" Eri broke out into a goofy grin. "He's skinny as hell, but he is...gorgeous!"

"You don't want to get involved with him, Eri." Neku cautioned, a bitter tone in his voice, "He's bad news."

Eri scowled at the proxy. "Says you! I, on the other hand, am going to make my move!"

She took off following the crowd as they, in turn, followed the ash-blond into the school building.

Rhyme socked Neku in the arm. Hard.

"OW! What the hell!"

"Yeah, that's right 'what the hell'! What's wrong with you, Neku? I thought you were cool with Josh now!"

"I was...until he broke his promise not to interefere in my life!"

Rhyme snorted and shook her head,

:"Oh please. He's got his hands full with all of Shibuya. I doubt everything he does has to do with you. So give him a break, at least until we find out what he's really doing at our school."

"She has a point, Neku." Shiki said softly,"Like I said, he could be just mingling with his people, like I hear some rulers do. It may have nothing to do with us. I mean, he walked right past without a single glance in our direction. If he was screwing with you, wouldn't he flaunt it?"

Neku thought it over.

"Yeah, he would. Alright fine, I'll give him a chance."

While Rhyme followed her friends inside, she grinned secretly. Joshua had actually tossed her a glance, right before he'd entered the building, and had thrown in a wink, just for good measure.

TWEWYTWEWYTWEWY

The students refused to calm down. Aparently having a coorperate heir attend classes with you was a big deal. As Rhyme went to her locker, bits and pieces of conversation reached her ears.

"I am very, very good at letting people know...who...I am."

Apparently the Composer had managed to rewrite his own history.

According to the snippets the young Bito gleaned from her gossiping classmates, Yoshiya 'Joshua' Kiryu had inherited the family business at the ripe old age of 10, when his parents had been shot dead while attending a conference in Udagawa (because where else would they get shot? The girl thought a bit bitterly) This made him the youngest business tycoon in Shibuya, maybe even in all of Tokyo. His family's company flourished under his guidance, making him extremely popular in the business world.

"He took off in early December of last year to go on vacation, that's why no one's seen him in the media recently." Trixie said as she rifled through her locker. "I wonder why he chose our school out of all the other, more high-end campuses he could've attended? I mean, it's not like we're the cream of the crop, you know?"

Rhyme had to snort at that. Her parents could barely afford her tuition.

"It's not as if it's cheap to go here, Trixie." She snickered.

Trixie suddenly made a very girly squeal, "Oh my gawd! Sammy Patho's coming over here! Does my hair look ok?"

"You look fine, Trix!" Rhyme giggled and pushed her friend towards the jock "Now go on, make your move!"

As her friend went to hopefully score a date, Rhyme began to make her way to her last class. Her mind was elsewhere, and she didn't realize she was in someone's way until they collided.

"Oh! I'm sorry! I'm so...clumsy."

Purple eyes locked with her own. Ash-blond strands tickled her cheek as he bent down to pick up a book she'd dropped.

"It was entirely my fault, Raimu. Heading to final period?"

She broke into a nervous smile as he handed her her art book

"Joshua! Oh..." She took the book greatfully "Thank you. I'm...on my way to art elective. You?"

"I 'elected' to take music." He flashed her a grin "Predictable, I know"

"No!" she shook her head, "It suites you. I'd honestly be disappointed if you didn't."

"Well, then." His violet eyes sparkled, "I am ever so glad I did not disappoint."

Rhyme Bito was blushing the whole entire art period.
