"Excuse me a moment, Bugaboo," Cat smiled apologetically at Ladybug. His phone was ringing and he smiled as he picked up. "Cat Noir speaking, meow can I help you?" He grinned. Cat had to turn away from her, as she groaned.

"What! Are you sure? I'll be there as soon as I can," Cat said, clicking off the phone. "Who was that?" Ladybug asked, swinging her feet back and forth on the ledge they sat on. "The cheese store downtown. Apparently, someone's been snacking at the cheese, and are full of bite marks!"

Cat looked at his partner. "Bugaboo, you okay?" he asked. Strange, she had turned a white color when he mentioned the cheese shop. "Oh, er, I'm fine!" she squeaked. "Bug you later!" she said, swinging away.

"Wait!" Cat stood up. "We could have done a pound it for your pun!" he sighed. Though he was the pun-master, it was always fun when Ladybug gave one.

Cat twirled his baton and jumped to roof to roof. could his Kwami be involved? Okay, Plagg liked cheese, but Cat hadn't transformed for awhile. Had Plagg had a late night craving while Adrien was asleep? Well, that was entirely possible.

Cat walked into the store, staff in hand. As soon as Leo saw him, he ran over. "Oh, good! She's at in again, Cat Noir! Please say you'll save my cheese!" Cat put a comforting paw on the good man's shoulder. "Calm down, Leo. I don't want to scare her."

As Cat walked to the back corner, he breathed a sigh of relief. Okay, there was cheese-nibbling going on here, but at least it wasn't Plagg.

"She's behind that wheel of Gouda to your left, Cat Noir. Oh, please!" Leo walked away, muttering, his fluffy yellow hair that reminded Cat of a lion's mane fluffier then ever.

Sliding the wheel aside, Cat blinked in surprise. A small Multi mouse nibbled at a piece of cheese. "Gouda to see you, Multi Mouse," Cat whispered down at her. Multi Mouse froze, slowly turning around a slight bugle of cheese in her cheek. Cat laughed silently, knowing it was Marinette. She looked so cute! But you need to focus, Cat!

"Please don't hurt me!" MultiMouse squeaked. "I've just got the taste for cheese!" As she spoke, she reached her hand back into the wheel, her eyes fixed on Cat's face.

Huh. His Princess had finally taken a page out his book, hadn't she? Cat had often stuck his paw in the cookie jar, while the other distracted and hugged Marinette.

"Its fine if you want to eat cheese," Cat said in a soothing voice, "But Leo's customers won't buy cheese that's bitten into. Besides, this isn't like you."

MultiMouse's ears and tail drooped, and she dropped her eyes. "I can't help it," she said, suddenly leaping up onto Cat's shoulders. "But its your Kwami's fault!" she chattered angrily. Cat's eyes widened. "My Kwami's fault?"

"Yes. Plagg was teasing my Kwami with your ring when we had that mission a few weeks ago." Plagg did like to tease sometimes, Cat thought. But it was usually in good fun. "So, a little bit of your Miraculous broke off and it altered my powers and now all I want to do is eat cheese!"

Leaping off Cat's shoulder, she angrily bit into a grape, the purple juice sloshing all over her. "Well, Squeaks," MultiMouse muttered and Cat started laughing.

"I think Master Fu would be able to solve this problem," Cat said. "Thank goodness, because I'm sick of cheese! MultiMouse exclaimed with a tiny burp.

She hopped up to Cat's shoulder, and Cat called goodbye to Leo, who looked very relieved. Even his fluffy hair seemed to settle down as Cat pushed open the door.

"Is something wrong with your Miraculous?" MultiMouse asked Cat as she pointed to his ring. Cat peered closely. She was right! A tiny shard of his ring was broken off. He had felt slightly off today, now that he came to think about it. "Good eyes," he said. "Er, Cat?" "Yes?" "I think I know what happened," she mumbled.

Cat stopped and placed her on in his palm. She held her tail, and looked a bit sheepish. "Well, your Kwami, Plagg, wanted to give Tikki, Ladybug's Kwami a gift. He noticed your Miraculous was damaged, but he thought the broken piece was candy." "You didn't see me though? Even though your not Ladybug, I'm sure she doesn't want us knowing identities."

Okay, so I do know yours, but I'm not saying anything! "No, I didn't see you, but I did hear water running. Plagg knows I'm friends with Ladybug, so he gave me the "candy." I didn't know it was a Miraculous! I'm been wearing it on a necklace and I was on my way to Ladybug's when I got a sudden hankering for cheese!"

I might have to cut back on Plagg's supply, just to teach him a lesson, Cat thought.

When they got to Master's Fu's, Cat explained the situation. Master Fu stroked his beard, an unreadable expression on his face. Though his face did twitch a bit now and then. Carefully, with a pair of tweezers he extracted the fragnet from MultiMouse's necklace. MultiMouse dropped the piece of cheese she was eating.

"Whew! Thank you! And I am sorry about your ring, Cat Noir!" "Its okay, it was a fun adventure, and I don't often see a mouse in a cheese store."

MultiMouse was quiet for a moment. "Plagg should still be able to give something to Tikki. Would you be able to get her a cookie?" "I think that can be arranged." "I'll allow the Kwamis to exchange gifts but then immediately go back to their owners," Master Fu said. "Are we agreed?"

This time Cat could see a wide smile on Master's Fu's face. Did he know something Cat didn't? Cat stuck out a finger, shaking MultiMouse's small paw. "Until we meet again," he said. "Bye, Cat!"

Cat Noir closed his eyes, so he wouldn't see Marinette transform back. It was nice that a cat and mouse could be friends. After all, he and Ladybug were friends. Why couldn't they?
