Hanekoma...a word, if you will.
Sanae paused in his painting. The barista was entertaining the thought of putting another mural somewhere in the city, and was currently in the back of WildKat, testing out designs. He sighed heavily at the soft pressure on his mind that usually accompanied his superior when He daned to speak with Shibuya's Producer.
"I don't have much of a choice, Seraph. Go ahead, tell me what my charge is doing wrong this time. Not that I'm surprised you took notice, he hasn't been very subtle lately."
The Higher Being chuckled softly, the sound filling the tiny space like a gust of wind.
Actually, Yoshiya is handling himself with more subtlty and caution than We have ever seen him exert in his reign, Sanae. It seems this personal mission he is on is quite important to him. You should feel astonished that he is actually behaving himself.
Hanekoma snorted "I'm suprized all right. He does seem to be trying extra hard not to get his new privileges revoked. I'm a bit disappointed that he isn't really succeeding though. He's flaunting his power way too much, as I'm sure You noticed."
However, not one RG soul has entered the UnderGround, even when he thinks they should have done so. His restraint in this matter astounds Us. We expected less from the sharp tongued Composer who plays with life and death as a child plays with a favorite toy. You have done well, Hanekoma.
The Producer shrugged and continued detailing his design, a wry smile on his lips "'fraid I can't take credit this time, old man. Josh knows the risks, and he's not about to screw himself over before this little quest is over and done. Oh, sure, I warned him when he was showing off at the school, but he decided all on his own to back off even more."
Sanae...you do realize this is all futile. Yoshiya's Soul has been violated, the piece he seeks will never return to him. We are not interested in his infatuations with the Noise Offspring. We are more curious to see how Shibuya's Composer will handle a double existance. Should this be successful...We are willing to allow him to permanently stay as he is, rather than force him to reverse everything and return to the UG at the end of his experiment.
Sanae stopped his work immediately, shock rippling through his body "You can't seriously be considering releasing Joshua into the RG...permanently...I'm sorry but Shibuya won't survive that scenario. I hardly think Josh will, at most. You know what happens if he goes, I'm sure. I wasn't in favor of the idea when he proposed it a few days ago, Seraph. My stance on the matter hasn't changed."
Seraph seemed to snicker at this reaction, a wry tone in his regal voice as well as astonishment over the Producer's reaction.
For one who constantly defends Yoshiya's recklessness, this is surprising coming from you.
"You forget, I was there when he was alive. Shibuya may have loved the kid to death, literally, but almost everyone who came into contact with him wanted his blood. Even as a child, his personality was abrasive, because that was the armor he chose to don to deal with the hell that was his life. Neku shut out the world. Josh went to war with it. The world was his enemy, and he was its nemesis. You honestly think putting him back into society won't re-open some wounds? It was bad enough before he was dead, now he has Composer powers to add to his arsonal. Plus, he's been in the RG for what, a week? And he already has people who want to skin him alive! In the end, it is your descision, bossman. I'm just a humble Producer looking out for my knuckleheaded Composer's neck."
If his experiment is successful, Hanekoma, and what was ripped from him was returned, could you truly justify us seperating them? Yoshiya is already a handfull. His defiance in that sinario would surely lead to a harsher punishment than he has faced yet.
The barista sighed heavily and put his hand on his head for a second
"But if it's not, and he gets so used to living between planes, doing his duties while living an RG life that he refuses to go back to the UG…"
We would grant him that, Sanae, if he proves that his true persona can stay intact and hidden from the RG world. As I said, We are interested only in how far Yoshiya can take this charade, and if he can maintain it without failing to uphold his illusion. If he passes the alotted time, then We will consider making it permanent.
"It's your decision, Seraph. I just hope you all know what you're doing." The Producer groaned, brushing a trembling hand through his hair.
