Can I Keep You?

"Hyung!" I called, smiling.

"Wae?" At least four people answered. I looked back at the camera, smiling.

I had been talking to ARMYs on the V-Live app and one of them dared me to call 'Hyung' until someone came to see who cared about me the most.

"Hyung!" I called again.

"Wae?!" The response was the same, but I think this time all seven of them answered. A comment popped up and I stifled a laugh. Once more, I yelled, "HYUNG!" I heard them get up and Namjoon opened the door and asked, "What, Janessa?"

"Annyeong," I said, giggling. They shook their heads while some of them laughed. "Sorry, an ARMY dared me to do it. Wanna say hi?" I asked. The comments flooded with "Annyeong's" "Borahae, oppa's" and "Will you marry me's." The seven men of BTS took turns waving and sending finger hearts to ARMYs on the other side of the screen.

"We're going out if you wanna come, too," Namjoon told me.

"Yeah, sure, just let me get changed," I said, motioning to my pajamas. I looked at ARMYs and said, "Talk to hyungs for a while, I'll be right back. Bye!" I handed the camera to Jimin and shooed them out of my room. I put on a pair of ripped blue jeans and a black T-shirt with a long black and white plaid button down shirt. I put my hair into a high ponytail and applied mascara and lip gloss before grabbing a pair of Jordan's and walking out of my room.

Jin handed me my phone and we left. First, we went to a McDonald's then to an amusement park. I took a lot of pictures and videos of the guys screaming as they went on roller coasters and rides. The seven men all tried to pass a carnival game, but only Yoongi, Taehyung, and Jungkook managed to. Namjoon almost broke it, Jin missed by a lot, and Jimin and Hobi just looked confused.

"Janessa!" Taehyung called. I looked over at him and smiled. He was holding out the stuffed kitty he had won. I laughed and grabbed it. "Thank you, hyung." I gave him a hug before asking if any of them wanted to go on the ferris wheel with me. Yoongi said he promised Jimin he'd go on a roller coaster with him. I couldn't help but silently fangirl over Yoonmin. Namjoon said he, Jin, and Hobi were going to try and find Jungkook who had wandered off. I pouted and looked up at Taehyung expectantly. He agreed to go with me and I beamed, grabbing his wrist pulling him in the direction of the ride I've always wanted to go on.

I'd never been on a ferris wheel before, so I was pretty excited. Tae and I talked and laughed the whole time we were in the line. It was surprisingly short, so pretty soon it was our turn to go on. We got in and sat down before it started moving upwards.

When we were about a quarter of the way up, all the people on the ground looked as small as ants. Halfway around, the whole park was spread out under us. I let out an awed sigh.

"Wow," I whispered. The whole park and surrounding land was backdropped with a sunset and it was so beautiful. I took out my phone and snapped a picture. "It's beautiful," I said. I looked over at Taehyung who looked startled and blushed.

"You okay?" I asked, concern etched into my face. "You haven't said anything since we got on. You aren't afraid of heights, are you?"

"No, I'm not. I'm fine," he assured me in his deep voice. "I just, um, wanted to ask you something, actually." I pulled my eyes away from the view in front of me and gave him my full attention.

"U-um, well, I-I'm not really sure how to-to ask you this," he stuttered, "but, um…"

"But?" I asked, slightly amused. "It's okay, just spit it out."

"Uh, I-I kind of, um, I'm kind of in love with you and I-I guess I'm asking if you would be my girlfriend?" He looked down, embarrassed, but my face had a soft smile on it.

"Yes," I said. He looked up, shocked.

"Mwo?"

"Of course I'll be your girlfriend," I giggled quietly at the surprised look on his face. "I'm also kind of, well, really, in love with you, too." I averted my eyes just like he had, and I was blushing like crazy. He hesitantly grabbed my hand and I laid my head on his shoulder and smiled when I felt his arm drape across my shoulders. He pressed a kiss to the top of my head and I heard him mutter, "Saranghae."

"Saranghae," I whispered back. I looked out at the view and saw a butterfly land on a bar of the car me and Taehyung were in.

"Look, Tae, a butterfly." I pointed it out and he smiled his boxy smile and sang part of 'Butterfly,' one of BTS's songs.

When we got off, hands still entwined, we went to look for the rest of the group. Once we did, Joon asked, "Did you do it?" He looked down at our intertwined fingers and smiled.

"Do what?" I asked, looking from the leader to Taehyung and back again.

"He's been trying to ask you to be his girlfriend for months," J-Hope piped up.

"Aww, you've been trying to ask me out for months?" I teased, watching him blush. I smiled brightly and hugged him tightly. The six guys aww'd and I think I heard someone's phone take a picture. Probably Jin, going into mom mode. We walked to the minivan and suddenly I felt really tired. It was about an hour and a half from the dorm to the amusement park, so I figured I'd take an hour-long nap.

When my eyes started to close, I didn't try to fight, and soon I was sleeping soundly. Suddenly, I was awakened by a sharp pain in my neck. The minivan had run over a pothole and the whole car had practically jumped, along with everyone inside. My head had slammed into the shoulder I had previously been using as a pillow.

I blinked the sleep out of my eyes, rubbing them with my knuckles. My eyes landed on my hand, which was currently being held by Kim Taehyung. I was confused for a while before remembering. Taehyung's my boyfriend now. The thought made a smile appear on my face. I replaced my head on his shoulder.

"Did you sleep well?" He asked quietly.

"Yeah," I answered, blinking slowly. "Until someone decided to cause an earthquake." Taehyung smiled and pushed a strand of hair out of my face and behind my ear.

"You guys are so cute," I heard Jimin say and I turned to look at him. He looked like a damn fangirl and I rolled my eyes, ignoring him.

"Seriously though, when are you guys going to kiss?" I blushed and pursed my lips before shrugging. I looked up at Tae and found that he was blushing, too.

"Do you guys want us to kiss?" he asked.

"Yes!"

"We literally just started dating like an hour ago," Taehyung said.

"So?" The boy beside me sighed and looked at me with an eyebrow raised.

"Fine," I caved, seeing five pairs of puppy eyes on us.

Taehyung leaned down and pressed a kiss to my lips. It only lasted about two seconds but even after he pulled away, blushing profusely, I could still feel the pressure of his lips on mine. Part of me wanted to kiss him a second time, but I settled for resting my head on his shoulder once again.

The cheers that exploded from the other members in the car were loud and slightly embarrassing. I hid my face in Taehyung's chest and I heard Taehyung laugh softly. He wrapped one of his arms around my waist and I felt safe. Eventually, I fell asleep again in that position.

I woke up again about ten minutes later to the sound of someone calling my name.

"Janessa." I whined and turned my head away, trying to go back to sleep.

"Janessa," the voice –which I now recognized at Taehyung's– repeated. "You gotta get up." I opened my eyes slowly and smiled seeing him in front of me.

"Do I have to?" I probably sounded like a five-year-old, but he just smiled.

"Yes, come on."

"Fine," I groaned. "I'm up." I stretched my back and yawned widely.

"You, too, Jungkookie," Taehyung said, gently shaking the sleeping boy.

"Huh?" I laughed along with Taehyung at the sight of a half-asleep Kookie. We got out of the car and walked in the door to the BTS dorm.

"Welp, I'm going to bed, guys," I informed my hyungs sitting around the TV trying to get control of the remote.

"But we're going to watch a K-drama," Namjoon said. "Are you sure you don't wanna stay up?"

"Yeah, I'm tired. I'm probably gonna text some of my friends and call my mom, then go to sleep."

"Okay! Good night." I gave everyone a hug, kissed Taehyung on the cheek and walked to my room.

The first person I texted was Sunny, my best friend, then a group chat with a bunch of my friends. The message was the same both times: "Heyyy. I have some tea if you (y'all) wanna hear ;)". Sunny texted me back almost immediately whereas the group chat didn't answer for more than ten minutes. Usually it's the other way around.

Sunny: What is it?

Spillllllll

Me: Lol hi

I got a bf

Sunny: Really?

Who is ittttt?

Is he from bts?

Me: Yeaaa.. Um

It's V

Taehyung

Sunny: …

The one you've had a crush on forever?

Me: Lol yea that one

Sunny: Really?

Me: Mhm

He asked me out at an amusement park today

Sunny: Wait what happened?

Like how'd he ask you out?

Me: So we went to a fair and Tae and I got on a ferris

wheel and he asked me to be his gf after telling

me he's kinda been in love w me.

Namjoon said he' been trying to ask me out for

months

Sunny: Awww

Me: Whatever shut up

Sunny: Jajaja

Me: Lol smh

Wyd?

Sunny: Nothing.

We continued texting for a while before I changed into my pj's and climbed onto my bed. The group chat I had texted earlier finally responded and had almost the exact same reaction Sunny had. The only difference is, they're actually BTS stans and were possibly even more excited and started to come up with ship names and just being all… them. About twenty minutes after I came into my room, I heard the door open and I looked up from my phone and smiled when I saw Taehyung peek his head into my room.

"Hey," I said.

"Hey," he said back. "I thought you were going to sleep?"

"Yeah, I was. But I was texting some of my friends and I'm about to call my mom."

"Are you gonna tell her you have a boyfriend?" He asked with a teasing look in his eyes.

"Maybe," I said, smirking. "Do you want me to?"

"Um. Knowing your parents, maybe don't hide a relationship from them," he advised.

"Yeah… I did that one time and they were so mad." He looked at me questioningly to which I responded with a small smile. I picked up my phone once again and FaceTimed my mom.

"Nena!" (Girl!) my mom said when she answered.

"Holaaaa!" I said, drawing out the word.

"How are you?" My mom asked.

"Good. Kind of tired, but I'm good. How about you? How was your day?"

"Good. I have a lot pain, but how can I say?"

"Josiah doesn't help you out?" I asked.

"Nope. I need you, Missy," she joked.

I laughed and said, "And I need you."

"I know. Why are you tired?" My mom asked.

"I went to a fair with the guys earlier and now it's like 11 at night."

"Ahh. Okay."

"Oh, Mom, guess what."

"What?"

I looked up at Taehyung who was smiling. "Um, I got a boyfriend."

"Que!?" (What!?) My mom practically screamed.

"Aish, ma, chill out," I said, laughing way too hard at her reaction.

"Quien es?" (Who is it?) She asked.

"Do you remember Kim Taehyung?" I asked her.

"Quien?" She looked so confused, so I turned my camera around and showed her the man sitting in front of me.

"Ahhh, okay. He is your boyfriend?"

"Yep," I said, turning my camera back to me. Taehyung scooted up next to me and cuddled against my side.

"Can I take you on a date tomorrow?" he asked quietly in Korean.

I nodded and said, "Nae." (Yes.)

"You say something?" My mom asked.

"No," I answered. "Taehyung just asked me if he could take me out tomorrow. I told him he could."

"Mm. Where is he going to take you?" I repeated the question in Korean and translated the answer.

"He said it's a surprise."

"Really?" My mom laughed. We talked for a while more before I told her was tired and wanted to go to sleep.

"Okay. Good night, Sky."

"Night, Mom. I love you."

"Love you, too. Sweet dreams."

"Bye." I blew her kiss and hung up. Tae and I sat in silence for a while when a question popped into my head. It was a weird question, I guess. I contemplated the answer a while before admitting I had no clue and gave up, asking Taehyung.

"Tae?"

"Hmm?"

"What's the difference between a peck and a kiss?" He lifted his head off of my shoulder and looked at me curiously. "Sorry, I know it's kind of a weird question, but it just popped into my head and I have no idea what the answer is." I blushed slightly, embarrassed.

"It's kinda hard to explain…" He thought a while before asking, "Is it okay if I show you instead?" I hesitated but nodded and he slowly pecked my lips. Same as he had in the car earlier.

"A peck is barely a kiss, I guess," he told me. "Think, like, short and sweet. If that makes sense." He pecked my lips again, then my cheek and the tip of my nose.

I smiled. "And a kiss?" I asked.

"Well… That one's kind of hard to explain. I'm…not really sure. Here, I'll just show you."

"Okay," I laughed.

He leaned in until I could see his dark brown eyes and the reflection of the light that made them shine. Our noses touched lightly before Taehyung closed the little remaining space between us and pressed his lips against mine. This was my first kiss and I had no idea what to do. I felt Taehyung's tongue slide across my bottom lip and I opened my mouth just slightly. That's what people did in fanfictions I've read, so I assumed that was the right thing to do.

I suddenly felt Taehyung's tongue flick in and out of my mouth quickly. I started getting more comfortable and did the same thing. Once again, his tongue went into my mouth, this time exploring every inch of it. Butterflies erupted in my stomach. After a while, he pulled away, smiling slightly.

"I've wanted to do that for a very long time," he whispered.

I chuckled quietly. His face looked flushed and his lips were kind of swollen. I guessed I looked the same. Not entirely sure what I was doing, I reached up and traced his bottom lip with my finger.

"Was that your first kiss?" Tae asked.

"Damn, it was that bad?" I laughed, pulling my hand back.

"No, actually, I had thought that you'd have had practice."

"Nope."

"Well, you could use some practice," he teased.

"Oh, my god. Whatever," I rolled my eyes and punched his shoulder lightly.

"You could always practice on me." He wiggled his eyebrows and I just laughed. He put a hand on his chest, pretending to be hurt.

"Okay, sure," I said. There was sarcasm dripping from those two words. I might not be totally fluent in Korean, but I am fully fluent in sarcasm. I rested my head on his shoulder, cuddling against his side. He let out a sound of disappointment.

"Aww, did you want me to kiss you again?" I teased.

"Yes," he answered shamelessly. I laughed again and kissed his cheek before replacing my head on his shoulder.

We stayed like that in silence for a while before I started getting cold and my eyelids started drooping. I felt like a damn popsicle. Taehyung noticed and wrapped an arm around me, rubbing my arm up and down, slowly warming me. I snuggled closer to him and eventually fell asleep.

The next day, I was woken up by a heavy weight, people jumping on me, and loud, high pitched barking in my ear. I groaned and sat up, looking around at the three smiling faces in front of me.

"Really, guys?" I asked, rubbing my eyes. "Y'all better have a good reason for waking me up."

"It was Kookie's idea!" Taehyung said, immediately defending himself. I picked up Yeontan to try and get him to stop barking. Placing him in my lap, I looked at Jungkook who looked like an innocent bunny.

"What do you want?" I asked him.

"Good morning!" he said. I rolled my eyes and threw a pillow at him.

"Seriously? You woke me up just to say that? You're so extra, Kook." He pouted, and although I knew he's about twice my age he just looked so adorable. Like a little toddler asking for candy. I sighed.

"Good morning, Kookie," I smiled tiredly and he flashed me his signature bunny smile. Taehyung leaned forward and hugged me.

"Morning, beautiful."

"Good morning."

"How did you sleep?"

"Good. How 'bout you?"

"I slept well. I had a good dream, too," he answered.

"Yeah? What was it about?"

"Uhh." Okay, Taehyung's really good at acting and lying… unless it's to me. He can't lie to my face or pretend he didn't do something he did. It's kinda sad, because I can lie so easily to literally anyone. I might feel varying degrees of guilt afterwards, but not usually.

"Was it about me?" I teased.

"Uh, yeah." I smiled cutely watching him blush.

"Aww."

Taehyung sighed, scratching the back of his neck. "Jungkookie's gonna tease me forever now."

"Yep!" Kook said cheerily.

My phone started ringing and I picked it up to see a FaceTime from my mom. I ruffled my hair while tapping the 'accept' button.

"Morning, mom!" I said once the call connected.

"Good morning and good night." Ah, yes, I almost forgot, the time in Colorado is 15 hours behind South Korea. I smiled.

"What time is it over there?" I asked, looking at the time on the wall clock. It read 8:13.

"Really, guys, you woke me up at 8?" Jungkook and Taehyung looked up and shrugged, smiling.

"What happened?" my mom asked.

"Tae and Jungkook came into my room and woke me up. At. Eight. In. The. Morning. For literally no reason. And Tani was barking like someone was tryna dognap him or something."

"You have boys in your room?" my mom questioned. I sighed.

"Yeah, mom. Taehyung and Jungkook. And Yeontan, but he's a dog."

"Why?"

"I just told you they woke me up."

"And they're still in your room?"

"Mhm." I nodded.

"What your dad and I said about boys in your room?"

"I can't have boys in my room if I'm the only girl."

"You can't have boys in your room."

"Mom, I live with them, what do you expect? Besides, they're my family by now."

"You no say one of them is your boyfriend?"

"Yeah, but the other ones are like my brothers. Jin's like my mom, and RM's kind of like the dad, but the others are like my brothers."

"Yoongi-hyung's like a grandpa," Taehyung added.

"Yeah, Yoongi's like a grandpa," I repeated.

"You still want be part of BTS?"

"Mom, I've been part of their group now for almost a year. There's literally nothing I want more. We talked about this yesterday. I'm not leaving BTS."

"Janessa. You need come back."

"Why?"

"Because I said."

"Mom. I'm not leaving. Just because you don't like K-pop or BTS doesn't mean I can't. It's your problem if you don't like what I'm doing. At least I'm not a stripper or something like that."

"If I say you need come home, you need come back."

"Why? Because you'd rather I be with you and taking care of everything instead of being here, doing what I love? Because you don't think I'll make it? I can't handle the hate? Or is it just because you don't think I'm good enough to be on a big stage?"

"I love you, but you're not. You can't talk correctly, you're overweight, and honestly, the boys are way better than you. They don't need you."

"Why isn't anything I do good enough for you? Perfect grades, took care of things around the house. Why doesn't anything I do make you proud?"

"That's not what I said."

"That's what it sounded like."

"You can't stay over there."

"Who said?"

"I did."

"I'm old enough to make my own decisions. Isn't that you always say?" I sassed.

"Mira, nena. Don't talk to me that way." I could tell she was getting mad, but so was I.

My mom always said she was doing the best for me, but she never even asked what I wanted or how I felt about anything. She would make a decision and expect me to roll with whatever she said. And I used to, because if I didn't she'd smack me. But I'm on the other side of the globe. I wish I had the nerve to say the stuff I thought to her face but she's a scary woman.

"I'm staying here," I said. "I hate it over there. I can never do what I want! Over here, I'm free. I can do what I want without being scared that I'm gonna get smacked across the face! No one treats me bad. I can do what I love without you or dad breathing down my neck about being a perfect Christian. Here, I have people who will listen to me and not judge me if I accidentally say one bad word. I can't do anything without you or dad calling my attention for it."

"We just want you to grow up as a good woman of God."

"I don't want to if it means I can't do what I love!"

"That's your choice. But you know you have a call–"

"A call from God, yeah, I know. I've heard it a thousand times before."

"Don't disrespect God, Janessa. Or his plans." I rolled my eyes and looked up at Taehyung and Jungkook who were playing with Yeontan. Taehyung looked at me and mouthed "date time?" I nodded.

"Look, Mom, I don't mean to interrupt your speech, but I gotta go. I have a date."

"Don't you dare hang up the phone, missy." I hung up and sighed, looking back up at the two men on my bed.

"This is one of those times I'm glad y'all aren't fluent in English," I said in Korean. They smiled but looked kind of sad.

"Who says we are not?" Taehyung asked in his cute English. I smiled.

"Hmm," I said, pretending to think. "Me… Joon-hyung… me." Tae beamed at me and I smiled.

"Come on, get ready. I'm taking you on a date, remember?" Taehyung reminded me. Jungkook gasped dramatically when he heard that.

"You're going on a date?!"

"Yes, Kook, we're going on a date," I told him, sounding like I was talking to a little kid.

"You're so dramatic," Taehyung said. I laughed. "Hurry up, I wanna go!" I looked at him and saw that he was in black ripped jeans and a casual button down shirt. The first two buttons were undone.

"I just woke up," I deadpanned. "Let me go get ready."

I walked into my too-big closet and walked out five minutes later wearing dark blue ripped jeans and a cropped black sweater, holding a pair of gray and blue Air Forces in one hand and my folded pajamas in the other. Jungkook and Taehyung were currently engaged in a wrestling match on my bed. They looked up as soon as I walked out of my closet, then both sat cross legged in the middle of my bed. I set my shoes on the floor and put my pajamas back in my dresser then walked into the bathroom to do my hair and makeup. I put my hair into two French braids, then applied a light brown eyeshadow, golden highlighter, black eyeliner, mascara, and lip gloss.

"Okay, I'm ready," I said, walking out of the bathroom. "How do I look?" I asked the two guys in front of me, tossing a braid over my shoulder. Taehyung's jaw dropped slightly and I giggled.

"You look beautiful, Janessa," Jungkook said, sincerely. Tae nodded in agreement. I blushed, tilting my head slightly downwards. I walked over to my dresser and put on my glasses (I didn't feel like putting in my contacts) and a pair of socks. I sat on my bed to put on my shoes, tying them in just under ten seconds.

"'Kay, I'm ready." I told Taehyung. "Wait, almost. Jungkookie, off my bed," I ordered.

"Why?" he asked.

"I gotta fix my bed. Look at the mess you and Taehyung made," I said with a pointed look at the covers that were halfway off the bed and the pillows strewn all over the bed and around the floor. Yeontan laid in buried in the middle of the mess, apparently sound asleep.

Jungkook muttered a quick "Mian" before hurrying out of my room, Taehyung on his heels. I shook my head with a fond smile on my face before turning back to my bed and startled Yeontan awake, gently setting him down on the floor.

I made my bed and had all the pillows back in place in just over five minutes and walked out of my room. I saw Taehyung messing with his hair in a mirror by the door, car keys in one hand. When he saw me leaving my room, he stood up straighter.

"Ready now?" he asked.

"Yep," I said.

"Ready for what?" Namjoon asked from the kitchen table.

"Taehyung's taking me on a date," I answered, walking into the kitchen to grab a banana. I walked back to where Taehyung was waiting, peeling the banana. I almost ran into a wall on the way.

"Where's he taking you?" Jin asked.

"I have no idea, eomma." (mom)

"Have fun, guys!" Joon called as we left the front door.

"Bye, eomma! Bye, appa!" I called back, closing the door after me. Tae stole a bite of my banana before opening the passenger side door of his car. I thanked him and put on my seatbelt as he closed my door and climbed into the driver's side.

"Eomma and appa?" he questioned.

"Oh, come on, they're practically a married couple with six kids," I replied. He just laughed and backed out of the driveway.

"Are you gonna tell me where we're going?" I asked him.

"Hmmm… you'll see," he answered. I huffed, pouting. He looked at me and smiled. "I won't tell you where we're going, but I will tell you there's going to be a lot of stops."

"We're going to be out all day?" I asked.

"Mhm," he hummed in response.

"Will it be fun?"

"I hope so." He smiled teasingly and I rolled my eyes. I connected my phone to Tae's car's bluetooth and tapped a Kpop playlist I had on my phone. Tae and I sang and rapped all the way to our first destination. Which turned out to be a breakfast restaurant.

After Taehyung ordered for the both of us, we sat down at a table and talked as we waited for our food to come. I was slightly nervous, as I always was around this man, and wondered if he was as nervous as I was.

"Tae?" I asked.

"Hm?" He looked at me, taking his eyes off his phone and setting it aside.

"Do I give you butterflies? Like… make you nervous?" I asked, averting my gaze as soon as the question left my mouth.

He hesitated before answering. "For some reason you make me all nervous and I kind of hate it… but I don't…" he trailed off, concentrating on the table. "And I get butterflies everytime I see you."

A small smile made its way onto my face at his confession. I leaned over and kissed his cheek. "You're cute when you get all flustered," I said quietly. He smiled a little.

The food came a little while after. Taehyung finished eating before I did, and he alternated between watching me eat, stealing some of my food, and playing on his phone. Suddenly, his phone rang. The caller I.D. read Bang PD, our manager. He shot me an apologetic look and answered, going outside for some privacy. I scrolled through my phone, texting my friends and browsing social media as I finished eating. I heard someone cough lightly and I looked up.

"Can I help you?" I asked politely. A man stood at the front of the table, his eyes travelling over me, trying to see as much as he could. "Can I help you?" I asked again, a little firmer.

"Uh, yeah," he answered. "I was wondering if you could give me your number?"

"No," I replied bluntly.

"Why not?"

"Because I already have a boyfriend. And because I don't want to."

Just then, Taehyung came back inside and walked over to me.

"Excuse me, can I help you?" he asked.

"Yeah. Are you her boyfriend?"

"Yes. And you are?"

"Park Taemin. I just asked this young lady for her number," Taemin said.

"And I already told you no," I interrupted. "Now please, leave us alone."

"Of course," Taemin said, but there was a strange glint in his eye. I rolled my eyes as I turned away warily, grabbing Taehyung's hand. Taemin's hand lashed out and squeezed my ass.

I whirled around and smacked Taemin across the face. His hand shot up to his cheek, his face a mask of shock. "Don't ever touch me again," I said.

Taehyung and I walked out of the restaurant and headed to the car.

"You're never going to smack me like that, are you?" Taehyung asked.

"Maybe," I said ominously.

"That guy's face turned almost purple! Where'd you learn to slap someone like that?"

"My mom. Trust me, you do not want to be smacked by her. She's made me bleed, maybe… two or three times."
"She made you bleed with a smack?"

"Mhm." He looked baffled.

"So where are we going next?" I asked once we were in the car.

"An arcade" was the answer. I was really excited; arcades are so much fun. Taehyung laughed at the bright smile that had appeared on my face. He took my hand in his and put the car in drive.

"Are you sure you can drive with one hand?" I questioned.

"Of course I can! I'm Kim Taehyung." He sounded slightly defensive. I just laughed.

"Okay, Mr. Kim Taehyung," I said teasingly. He smiled and didn't let go of my hand the whole time, even when I started playing with his fingers. He just looked at me and smiled cutely, then refocused his eyes on the road. "Sweet Night" came on, and I sang along quietly. He stared at me when he stopped at a red light.

"You have an amazing voice," I told him. A few seconds passed, me still singing, him still looking at me. I glanced up then looked at the man sitting next to me. "The light's green," I told him, amused. He blushed and pressed the gas.

My phone started buzzing in my lap. I picked it up and saw an incoming FaceTime from Dusty Burnt Chinchilla Cockroach, the name I have for my best friend, Sunny. I hit 'accept' and waited for the call to connect.

"Janessa!" Sunny said, smiling brightly.

"Hey, Sunny!" I said, returning the smile.

"Whatcha doing?" she asked.

"Uh. I'm… on a date. How 'bout you?"

"At the mall with Alyssa and Angela. Wait, you're on a date?"

"Yes, I am. Mya isn't with you?"

"She's with her dad."

"Oh."

"Hold on. I don't understand something."
"What?"

"You're on a date?"

"For the third time, yes."

"With your new boyfriend?" Sunny teased. Apparently, my best friend is doing my dad's interrogation for him.

"Yes, Sunny."

"Is he with you right now?"

"Yep." I turned my phone to show Sunny.

"Annyeong!" Taehyung said, glancing from the road to my phone and back again repeatedly.

"Hi," Sunny said. "He's the one you've had a crush on forever, right?" She directed the question to me. From Taehyung's snicker, I assume he understood Sunny's question.

I sighed. "I already answered that."

"I forgot," Sunny retaliated, feigning innocence.

"Mhm," I said sarcastically. "Yes, he's the one I've liked forever."

"Hi, Janessa!" Another familiar voice cut in as Sunny laughed out loud.

"Hi, Alyssa. How are you?"

"Pretty good, you?"

"Alright," I said with a smile.

"Sunny tells me you have a boyfriend."

"I want to say that she's lying, but then I'd be lying. Wanna meet him?"

"Yes."

I turned to Taehyung and said in Korean, "My friend's mom wants to meet you."

"Hello!" he said in his deep voice.

"Hi. What's your name?" Alyssa asked.

"I'm Kim Taehyung. What is your name?" He asked in his cute broken English.

"Alyssa."

"Nice to meet you, Alyssa."

"Nice to meet you, too."

"Did I say that right?" Taehyung asked me in Korean. I nodded.

"Where are you taking Janessa?" Alyssa asked. Taehyung answered in Korean and I translated.

"He said to an arcade," I told her.

"And after that?" I repeated the question in Korean for Tae.

"He said he's going to buy me lunch, then take me to see a movie, then buy me dinner and finally he's going to take me to the beach."

"Wow," Alyssa said.

"You really planned all that?" I asked Taehyung quietly. He pulled into the arcade parking lot as Alyssa returned Sunny's phone to its owner.

"Yep," he answered. "I want it to be perfect."

"I got to go, Sunny. We're at the arcade," I said to my phone.

"Okay, bye! I love you. Have fun on your date!" Sunny teased.

"I will," I said, laughing. "Bye, love you too." Taehyung parked the car then got out and headed inside immediately. I jogged to catch up to him. He took my hand and pulled me across the parking lot to the entrance. I laughed at his enthusiasm. I tucked my phone into my butt pocket and let Taehyung drag me to the front counter where he traded some money for a bunch of tokens.

I pulled my boyfriend to a racing game and inserted two tokens. Taehyung slid into the booth beside me and did the same. We chose our cars and characters and waited for the countdown to begin the race. Once the race began, I hit the gas pedal and started driving. I say driving, but it was more like trying not to crash into everything. I finished in just over two minutes. I looked at Taehyung's screen and saw that he finished two seconds before me.

"Rematch!" I declared. "I want a rematch! I could beat you this time!" He handed me two more coins and we played again.

Despite my claim, I did not beat him the second time around. I lost by about eight seconds. I pouted, then laughed at Taehyung's gloating face. I saw a shooting game and pointed it out to him. He took my hand and led me over to it. We inserted two tokens each and hit play.

I was shocked. My boyfriend is incredibly horrible at arcade games. We played just about every game there, until we ran out of tokens. I beat him at almost every single game we played. Sometimes by a lot, sometimes just barely. But I always beat him. And he wasn't just letting me. He was actually trying to beat me. We played air hockey, Dance Dance Revolution. I won every game. And I'm not exceptional at video or arcade games, either.

After we ran out of tokens, we traded the tickets we won for prizes. We were able to get a bunch of candy and toys, but we just got ~too much~ candy and a stuffed kitty that Taehyung gave to me. By now, it was almost one in the afternoon and I was kind of hungry.

"Where do you want to go for lunch?" Taehyung asked me when we were back in the car. I saw a Subway nearby and suggested that. He pulled up to the drive through and ordered for himself before asking what I wanted.

"A meatball sub and Coke," I told him. He repeated my order to the box and drove up to the pay window. I pulled out my wallet to give him some money but he shook his head stubbornly.

"No, I'm going to pay," he said.

"You can't pay for everything, Tae," I told him.

"Watch me."

"You're really stubborn," I said, slightly annoyed. He flashed his signature boxy smile and handed his debit card to the person in the window to pay for our food and drinks.

"Gamsahamnida!" he said (Thank you!), and drove off in the direction of the park.

We sat down at a bench and ate our food while teasing each other and talking about everything. When we both finished, I picked up our trash and threw it in a nearby garbage bin. When I returned, he had a mischievous glint in his eyes.

"What?" I asked, sitting down in the grass in front of him.

"Nothing," he said, sitting down next to me. Suddenly, his hand shot out at my sides and started tickling me. I screamed with laughter and tried to push his hands off me, but I failed and kept laughing.

"Hajima! Stop, I can't breathe!" I kept repeating. I was now laying on my back, and Taehyung was on top of me. He leaned down to kiss me but I turned my head away at the last second, making him sit up in confusion. Now it was my turn to tickle him. I attacked his stomach and sides, just like he had done to me. He laughed so hard and I finally stopped when he said he couldn't breathe. I layed down next to him and waited as he caught his breath.

"Remind me not to tickle you anymore," he said.

"Okay," I agreed. We were quiet for a moment before he leaned over me.

"Please don't tickle me," he whispered and pressed a kiss to my lips. I smiled when he pulled back and he looked at me kind of weird.

"What?" he asked.

"Nothing, why?"

"You smiled after I kissed you," he said.

"So?" Taehyung seemed to be thinking about something, before shrugging and standing up. He reached down and pulled me up next to him, immediately wrapping his arms around me. I hugged him back and we stayed like that for a while.

Too soon, though, he pulled back and grabbed my hand. "Let's not miss the movie," Taehyung said.

"Which one are we watching?" I asked, letting him lead me to the car.

"You'll see!" he exclaimed excitedly. He opened the passenger door and I hopped in. Before I could put on my seatbelt, Taehyung leaned over me and put it on for me. I blushed and pursed my lips, not really knowing why.

"I could've done that myself," I told him.

"I know," he said with a smirk. "But I wanted to do it for you." My cheeks turned from pink to crimson and he chuckled. Taehyung closed the door and walked over to the driver's side. When he got in he kissed my cheek. I looked at him, startled.

"What was that for?" I asked.

"For being my girlfriend," he answered in his deep voice. He drove to the movie theater as I sang along to the music playing. Taehyung had his hand on my thigh the whole time.

"What kind of movie are we going to see?" I asked him, playing with his fingers.

"Horror." I smiled brightly, already excited. We got to the theater and Taehyung bought our tickets, snacks, and drinks and talked quietly as we waited for the movie to start. I honestly got really scared a couple of times, cuddling against Taehyung's side.

"When you said horror, I thought it would be like 'It' or 'Nightmare on Elm Street' kind of scary. Not that. Damn," I said when the movie finished.

"Sorry. I didn't think it'd scare you," Taehyung laughed. "At least I got free cuddles out of it." He winked.

"You can get free cuddles whenever you want, Tae," I said, rolling my eyes. He smiled his boxy smile and draped one of his arms around my shoulders.

"Now, time to eat," he told me.

"Yes." Once more, we got in the car and drove off. About fifteen minutes of teasing and singing later, Tae pulled into a restaurant and we got out.

"Wow," I said jokingly. "Fancy." He smiled and took my hand, leading me into the lobby. The walls were red with dark green silk curtains hanging over every window. The tables were a shiny black and the chairs matched the walls. Our feet sank into the soft carpet as we were led to our table. A few minutes later, a waiter showed up.

"Good evening," he said, bowing politely. "Can I get you something to drink?" He looked at me.

"Coke," I said, smiling at him. He turned to Taehyung who, for some reason, looked mad and pretty annoyed.

"The same as her," he said, not even looking at the waiter.

"Okay, I'll be right back," the waiter bowed again.

"Thank you," I said as he left. Taehyung was still looking at me.

"What's wrong?" I asked him.

"Were you flirting with him?" he asked instead of answering me.

"Really, Tae? All I said was 'thank you.' How is that flirting?" He didn't respond, just looked away. "Wait… Are you jealous?" I asked softly. I was trying really hard to keep the teasing tone out of my voice, not exactly succeeding. He shook his head lightly but his eyes disagreed.

"Honestly, Tae, do you think I'd flirt with anyone who's not you?" I asked. "I'm not a whore or anything like that. I don't flirt with just anyone." He was quiet for a while.

"No," he said. "I know you're not a whore and you don't flirt with just any guy. It's just that I get jealous really easily, even whenever you simply look at another guy. I had you all to myself today, and it made me so happy." I smiled. "Today's been perfect so far," he continued, "and… I just don't want some other guy to come and take you away from me." He brought his eyes, previously fixated on the table, back up to meet mine.

"You're too cute when you get jealous," I said softly. "But no one's going to take me away from you. Ever. Okay? I'm all yours."

He grabbed my hands off of the table and said, "I love you" in his cute English.

"Saranghae." Our drinks came shortly afterwards.

"Are you ready to order?" the waiter asked after setting our drinks down. I was about to ask for more time, since I hadn't even glanced at the menu, but Taehyung ordered for the both of us. The waiter bowed politely and left.

"What'd you get me?" I asked.

"Salmon and a shrimp cocktail," he answered confidently.

"What? Tae, you know I'm allergic to seafood!"

"Oh, that's right. I got bibimbap for you and the salmon for me," he said laughing. I reached across the table to playfully smack his arm. He pouted, pretending to be really hurt. I laughed, but said, "Thank you, though. I like bibimbap."

"I know," he said as I rolled my eyes. "You're very lucky to have me."

"You mean you're very lucky to have me," I corrected.

"Yes, that's what I meant."

"Mm. That's what I thought." I threw a braid over my shoulder, laughing. When I looked back at him, he looked deep in thought.

"What are you thinking?" I asked.

"Nothing, just that you're really beautiful," Taehyung said, making my face turn a bright pink.

"Not really," I replied, looking downward.

"Yes, really." I looked up at him.

"Not as beautiful as you," I said quietly.

"Yeah, that's true," he said, making me laugh.

"Well, damn."

"What? It's true," Taehyung defended.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever. I know it's true."

Our food came just then and we thanked the waiter before digging into the plates. Just like this morning, he finished before I did and alternated between watching me eat and stealing my food. Usually, I would have fought or at least argued with whoever took my food, but I didn't do anything other than roll my eyes once or twice. When we finished, the waiter came to give us our bill. I reached for my wallet but Taehyung told me to put it away.

"Why?" I asked.

"Because I want to pay," he said with a fake pout.

"Fine," I yielded. "But next time, I'm paying." He smiled triumphantly and put his card on top of the bill. The waiter came by and took it, returning in a few minutes. He bid us good night as he handed Taehyung his card back.

Tae grabbed my hand, entwining our fingers as he led me out of the restaurant and back to the car. The sun was almost setting as Taehyung drove off, yet again, this time to the beach.

We arrived in about forty-five minutes. The edge of the sun was touching the horizon. The sky was painted different hues of purple and gray. The clouds and water were decorated with orange, red, pink, and purple. We got out of the car and Taehyung opened one of the back doors, taking out a blanket, the bags of candy we won that morning, and something small I couldn't really see in the fading light. We walked side by side on a boardwalk surrounded by sand. When the edge of the boardwalk appeared, I took off my shoes and socks then hurried to catch up to Taehyung. We walked for a while in silence before Taehyung set the blanket down and we both sat down on top of it. I undid the braids and shook out my hair, letting it cascade down my back and shoulders. I leaned back onto Taehyung's shoulder. He wrapped his arm around me before starting to play with my hair. I smiled subconsciously, looking at the ocean waves painted orange and fiery red by the setting sun. I pulled out my phone and snapped a picture. Then I turned around and took a picture of the man sitting next to me. He looked ethereal in the fading sunlight, like something you'd picture in a fantasy book. He took my phone and took a picture of me looking at the ocean when I wasn't paying attention.

I layed back onto the blanket and put my head in his lap. We talked quietly for a while. I got kind of sleepy, what with the waves, Taehyung's low voice, and his hands running through my hair.

"Janessa," he said slowly, almost like he was asking a question.

"Hmm?"

"I have a gift for you," he told me. I sat up and looked at him curiously. He reached behind him and pulled out a thin rectangular box. He handed it to me and I opened it slowly. My jaw dropped as I saw what was inside. A thin silver chain held a big cursive "J." Inside the "J" was a heart with a "T" inside of it. I looked back up at Taehyung with huge eyes, unable to believe he had gotten me something so beautiful, so delicate. I loved it.

"What do you think?" he asked anxiously.

"It's beautiful. I love it," I told him.

"Really?" he double checked, a wide smile splitting his face.

"Really. Thank you." I pressed a kiss to his cheek and asked him to put it on me. He took the necklace in his long fingers as I turned around, lifting my hair out of the way. I touched the charm lightly with the tips of my fingers as Taehyung draped it on my collarbone. He gently kissed my neck twice after he fastened the clip, making me shiver. I turned back around to face him. His eyes travelled down to my throat and he smiled.

"It looks beautiful on you," he said, touching the heart. He pressed a kiss to my forehead and then rested his forehead against mine. I hesitated for a moment before kissing him. He deepened the kiss and I wrapped my arms around his neck, tangling my fingers in his hair as I felt his hands tighten around my hips. When we split apart for breath, I smiled.

"What?" Taehyung whispered.

"Nothing," I whispered back. "Just happy to be kissing you and not some other doofus who'll probably just break my heart after a few months. And happy you were my first kiss." He smiled at my words and pulled me into a hug. I buried my face in his neck as he lifted his arms to my waist.

"I love you," he said into my hair.

"I love you, too." I pulled away and smiled at him. The sun was almost gone, just a sliver of light on the horizon. Stars were starting to peek out and the moon was now shining brighter than the disappearing sun. Taehyung said we should head back to the dorm. We stood up and I grabbed the blanket, shaking it out and folding it neatly. Stooping down, I picked up my shoes and followed my boyfriend back to his car. When we were close to the dorm, I put my shoes back on and turned to Taehyung.

"Thank you," I said to him.

"For what?" he asked, confusion scrawled on his face.

"For taking me on a perfect date. For being my boyfriend. For loving me."

"I'd take you on a date every day if I could," he said softly.

"I know," I said, smiling. He took my hand and kissed it gently. I felt a blush spread across my cheeks. A short while after, he pulled up to our dorm and we got out of the car.

"Where've you guys been all day?" Jimin asked when we walked in. His eyes landed on my necklace. "That's very pretty, Janessa. Where'd you get it?"

"Thanks. Taehyung gave it to me," I answered. He looked slightly surprised but smiled and greeted Taehyung. I walked into the living room and promptly burst into laughter. Jin was sitting down on the couch, worry etched into his face and tight shoulders.

"I'm back, eomma," I said between giggles.

"Why are you laughing? You had me worried! You were gone all day! I thought something had happened to you guys! I tried to call you like five times today and no one answered me!" Jin ranted. I swear, when he's mad, he raps faster than Yoongi.

"I was with Taehyung. You knew that," I replied.

"Yeah, but you didn't tell me you were going to be out all day." His eyes narrowed suspiciously. "You guys didn't… do anything, right?"

"No! Jin, of course not! No."

"Okay, good. What'd you guys do then?"

"He took me to get breakfast, then to an arcade, then Subway, then to the park, and then he took me to the movies, then to eat dinner and finally to the beach to watch the sunset."

"Sounds like fun" was all he said.

"It was," I said with a smile on my face. I felt someone's arms around my waist and a weight on my shoulder as Taehyung rested his head on me.

"Can I take you on another date tomorrow?" Taehyung whispered in my ear.

"Don't we have dance practice tomorrow?" I asked.

"Yes, and we have an interview at 3," Jin reminded us.

"Some other time. I promise," I said to a pouting Taehyung. I gave him a kiss on the cheek and walked to my room.

Sitting on my bed, I ran the day through in my mind. It was as close to the perfect date I'd dreamed I'd have when I was a little girl and the thought made me smile. I stood up to go shower when I heard the door open.

"Are you busy?" Taehyung asked, striding to my bed.

"Nah. I was going to go shower, though."

"Okay. I'll wait," he said, sitting cross legged on my bed. He flashed me his signature boxy smile and I left. Fifteen minutes later, I walked in to find Taehyung on his back in the middle of my bed, scrolling through his phone. I jumped onto my bed, just barely missing Taehyung's stomach.

"What's up?"

"I wanted to ask you something," he said.

"Okay."

He thought for a moment before saying, "Do you think we should tell ARMY… y'know, about us?"

"Well, can we? I mean, will Bang PD-nim let us?" I asked.

"I don't know," he admitted.

"Well, are we going to tell him?"

"Bang PD-nim?" I nodded.

"We should. I don't like hiding things from him," Taehyung reasoned. I agreed. Bangtan is really close with our manager and we don't enjoy hiding things from him, unless it's for a surprise.

"Okay. We'll tell Bang PD-nim then ask if he thinks we should tell ARMY," I proposed.

Taehyung nodded. "Sounds like a plan." I looked around for my phone, spotting it on my dresser. I stood up and grabbed it, sliding my finger over the screen to check my notifications. Closer to the bottom, I saw a few missed calls from my mom and Jin.

"Shoot," I muttered. I unlocked my phone and FaceTimed my mom, walking back to my bed. She picked up on the second ring and immediately bombarded me with questions.

"Why did you not answer me when I call you?" she asked. "You have a phone for a reason, not just to play silly games and watch dummy videos."

I refrained from rolling my eyes as I said, "Sorry, Mom. I wasn't on my phone that much today."

"Why not?"

"I was on a date, remember? I told you yesterday."

"Ahh, right. Sorry." My mom laughed.

"It's all good," I said. "How was your day?"

"It was good. How was your date?"

I smiled. "It was really good. I had a lot of fun."

"What did you do?" I told her the same thing I had told Jin earlier. "Your dad never took me on a date like that," my mom said. I burst out laughing, making Taehyung shoot me a funny look.

"Dang," I said.

"You have a new necklace?" My mom said.

"Yeah. Taehyung gave it to me today."

"Let me see." I showed her the necklace. "Wow. Beautiful."

"Yeah," I said. "My mom likes my necklace," I whispered to Taehyung. He beamed, happy.

"Mom, did you tell Dad I have a boyfriend?"

"No, why?" my mom asked.

"Uh. I was kind of hoping you did so I wouldn't have to," I admitted sheepishly.

"You want me to tell your dad?"

"Please."

"Bebe!" My mom called.

"Dime!" (Tell me!) I heard my dad call.

"Sky tiene un novio!" (Sky has a boyfriend.)

"What?"

"Skylynn tiene un novio!" my mom repeated. My dad's face appeared on my phone screen.

"Janessa!"

"Yeah?" I asked, trying to keep the smile off my face.

"Your mom says you have a boyfriend."

"She's not lying, if that's what you want to know," I told him.

"Who is he?"

"Uh, a friend."

"Who is this 'friend'?" my dad asked.

"Kim Taehyung," I answered.

"Don't you live with him?"

"Yeah, he's in BTS. Everyone in BTS lives together."

"Which one was he again?"

I flipped my camera around to show Taehyung on his phone. "Taehyung," I called. He looked up at me.

"Wae?"

"Say hi. It's my dad," I added.

His eyes widened but he said, "Hi!" with a smile.

"You're my daughter's boyfriend?" my dad questioned. I repeated the question in Korean and Taehyung nodded.

"Why?" Once more, I interpreted the question and the answer.

"He said because he thinks I'm the prettiest girl in the world and he's in love with me. He also said that he's wanted to date me for a long time."

"Really?"

"That's what he answered," I said, shrugging.

"How'd he ask you out?" my dad asked.

"The guys and I went out to an amusement park yesterday and Tae asked me to be his girlfriend and he took me on a date today."

"Le dio una collar a tu hija," my mom said. (He gave your daughter a necklace.)

"Let me see," my dad demanded. I showed my dad the necklace.

"It's pretty."

"Thanks."

"Also, what do you mean, he took you on a date?" my dad asked.

"Ah, and here I was thinking you weren't going to ask me," I said, sighing. My dad just laughed. "He asked me to be his girlfriend yesterday and he wanted to take me out today. Isn't that what a date is?" I asked, answering my dad's question.

"And you said yes?"

"Yep."

"Without consulting me?"

"Mhm."

"Do you like him?" my dad asked, his tone changing.

"Yeah. I do. A lot, actually."

"That's good. Let me talk to you boyfriend," my dad said.

"He don't speak that much English. Do you want me to interpret?"

"Sure." I told Taehyung that my dad wanted to talk to him and that I'll be the interpreter. He nodded and said, "What does your dad want to talk to me about?" I repeated the question in English to my dad.

"I want to talk to you about dating my daughter. I have no problem with you dating her, but there's going to be some rules. First, no sleeping together, no sex, none of that." I blushed while translating that last sentence. Taehyung nodded in understanding. "Y'all can do whatever you want, but no touching her butt or boobs, okay? And lastly, do not break her heart. Don't even think about hurting her, or I will fly all the way to Korea just to beat your ass."

"I would never dream of hurting her, sir," I interpreted. I slid my hand into Taehyung's and he squeezed it gently.

"Good," my dad said. "Janessa."

"Hmm?" I raised my eyebrows.

"Try and keep the flirting to a minimum."

"Sure, dad." I said, sarcasm falling off my words. He laughed. "A'ight. I'm going to go to bed. It's late and I have a long day tomorrow. Night Mom, night Dad."

"Good night. Get Taehyung out of your room before you fall asleep, though." my dad told me.

"I will."

"Okay. Bye."

"Bye." I hung up and looked at Taehyung. "That went well," I said. He snorted out a laugh and said, "Yeah, I guess so." I smiled and scooched down the bed to cuddle with Taehyung.

He set down his phone and turned to look at me. "I know your dad said we can't sleep together," he said, "but can I sleep here tonight? It's comfortable here with you." I thought about it for a moment before nodding.

"Sure," I said. He smiled and made a little "yay" sound. Taehyung soon fell asleep cuddling me, and I followed his lead shortly after.

I woke up the next morning to the sound of my alarm screaming at me. I hit stop and laid back on Taehyung's arm. I always set my alarm 30 minutes before everyone else so I wouldn't be caught in the BTS morning chaos. Taehyung was still sleeping soundly beside me and I debated whether or not to wake him. He looked so peaceful and happy, so I decided to let him sleep. I showered and brushed my teeth before walking out of the bathroom to my closet. I decided to wear leggings, a black T-shirt that read, Thou shall not try me - Mood 24:7, and my black running shoes. I walked back to my bed and watched Taehyung for a while before shaking him awake.

"Wake up, pabo," I said. (dummy)

"Hmm?" he looked around groggily. "Wae?" His deep voice is even deeper when he just wakes up and I love it so much.

"You gotta get up. We have to go to BigHit today," I told him.

He stretched then reached up and pulled my head down to place a kiss on my lips. I kissed him one more time before pulling away.

"Get up, Tae. You gotta get ready." He pouted but I didn't budge. "Get up."

"Fine," he said. "Give me a hug, though, first."

"Fine." He smiled brightly as I reached up to put my arms around his neck. I rested my head on his chest as he wrapped his arms around my waist. We stayed like that for a while before I said, "Go get ready, Tae" in a soft voice. He tilted my chin up and kissed me one more time before leaving my room. I put my long hair in a high ponytail before walking into the kitchen.

Like I usually do, I made breakfast for myself and the seven guys I live with. Today, I made breakfast burritos. I made two for everyone, except me. I just had one burrito and a cup of coffee. After I wrapped each burrito in tin foil to keep the heat in, I sat down at the table and plugged my headphones into my phone. Jungkook and Taehyung soon emerged from their shared room and walked to the bathroom. A few minutes later, they came back out and walked to the kitchen.

"There's burritos on the counter," I said. "Only take two, though."

"You made us breakfast?" Jungkook asked.

"You say that like it doesn't happen every day, Kook." Tae snickered as Jungkook flashed me a cute smile. I went back to sipping my coffee and replaced my headphones in my ears. Soon, everyone else started waking up and in just over an hour, we were out the door. We took two cars, the maknaes in one and the hyungs in the other, and drove to the BigHit building.

After greeting Bang PD-nim, Taehyung and I walked over to him and told him we had something to ask him. I looked at Taehyung, who said, "Bang PD-nim, um, we were wondering if it's okay that me and Janessa are dating. And if we should tell ARMYs."

Our manager thought about the request for a while before finally answering. "I don't see any problems with the two of you dating. However, I'm not sure how ARMY would take the news, especially since Janessa's still relatively new to the group. Just be careful around the cameras, okay? Other than that, I don't see any problems." We thanked him and bowed politely before rejoining the group in the practice room. We ran through a couple of songs we were going to perform later that month a few times before taking a break. The interview was in a few hours and we all still had to get ready.

My stylist always has a couple outfits ready for me, so when I met up with her, she handed me the clothes and I went to change. I walked out of the changing room in black jeans, a black and white striped shirt, and a loose but fitted black leather jacket. My stylist also gave me long black high heeled boots that I put on when I got out. She fixed up my hair into a curled half up half down style and put big hoops on my ears. She put on some makeup and, to finish off the look, she applied bold dark red lipstick. I looked at myself in the full length mirror hanging nearby.

"Damn, I look pretty good," I said. "Thank you, noona," I added, giving her a hug. It took me about half an hour to get ready. Once we were done, I walked over to a couch and sat down. Taehyung was already there, talking to Jungkook, Hobi, and Jimin. A chorus of wow's and pretty's followed my entrance. I blushed and rested my head on Taehyung's shoulder.

"You look really good, Janessa," Taehyung said in a low voice.

"I know," I said, smiling. He entwined our fingers and rested our hands on his lap. I stifled a yawn and resisted the urge to fall asleep. We have an interview soon, and I don't want to look as tired as I feel. However, I failed to stay awake and woke up to someone nudging me.

"Janessa," Taehyung whispered. "Get up, the interview's going to start soon." I blinked a couple of times to wake myself up and yawned.

"Fine," I groaned. I let Taehyung pull me to my feet. He looked around quickly before kissing the tip of my nose.

"You're really cute when you're tired. Now, let's go." He took my hand and led me to where the others were waiting. He dropped my hand when we entered the recording room where the interview was going to take place. We were all given a mic to hook on our shirts and were ordered to sit in two lines. The interviewer was already there, and she gave us a run down on what was going to happen. After about fifteen to twenty minutes of a Q & A with the interviewer, we were released to do whatever we wanted for the rest of the day.

We decided to return to the dorm to change our clothes and chill for a little while then go out for dinner. We sat down on the couch to watch some movies while we took turns showering. Jin prepared some snacks and a few hours later, we left to eat dinner. Namjoon chose the place, and it was close, so we decided to just walk there.

"Janessa," Tae called to me as I walked ahead of him. I stopped and waited for him.

"What's up?" I asked.

"You looked pretty sexy while dancing today," he said.

I raised my eyebrows, blushing. "Whatever."

"I'm just kidding. You did look good, though." I smiled. Taehyung took my hand in his and said, "Could I ask you something?"

"Of course. What's up?"

"Can I keep you? Please? I know I have you now, and I don't ever want to lose you." I smiled softly.

"Of course. I don't want to lose you either."

"I love you," Taehyung said.

"I love you, too." He stopped me and turned me around to face him. I cocked my head to the side, looking confused. "Are you okay?" I asked him.

He looked down into my eyes and said, "Yeah, why wouldn't I be?" He leaned down and planted a kiss on my lips. He kissed me again, and deepened it. He pulled away after I smiled into the kiss, looking confused.

"Let's go, Tae. I don't want to get lost. You can kiss me all you want later," I said, pulling him towards where I last saw Jimin walking. The world could have been falling apart, but I didn't care. I was doing what I'd always dreamed of, I was with Taehyung, and I was happy. Nothing mattered to me at that moment.
