It was a summer day and Oscar was waiting for the bus. He had a big bag with clothes and other objects. He also had a backpack with several distractions for the long journey ahead of him. His phone, a notepad and pencils… You know, the usual.

And so, there he was. In the middle of the blazing sun, waiting patiently. Next to him there was another person, though. From what he peeked it was a girl. She appeared to be around his age.

But you shouldn't trust Oscar with this things. He was never too good guessing ages. Whenever someone had the stupid idea of asking 'How old do you think I am?', he always tried to find some excuse to not answer. Either that or he simply said a number lower of what he thought. Deep down, that's what people wanted to hear.

The girl was talking to her mother. She seemed sad. Her mother had left a book on top of a trashcan. Oscar began making some theories as to what was that book and why she was leaving it there. Could it be an enchanted item? He laughed at the absurdity of said statement.

After a small goodbye, the mother left and now it was just the two of them. But, Oscar could have perfectly disappeared and the girl wouldn't have noticed one bit. She seemed to be on her own world. She was looking at the book on the trash can.

But then, some kind of owl creature came out of some bushes and snatched the enchanted book before the girl could take it.

"What the-?" Exclaimed Oscar.

The girl, finally acknowledging his presence, turned around for half a second. Then, she immediately focused back on the winged thief and began sprinting while she screamed.

"Come back here!"

"What is that thing?" Asked Oscar. With the intensity of the situation he had thrown his big bag over to some bushes where no one would look (hopefully) and he had ran along with the mysterious girl.

"It looks like an owl. It took my book!"

The 'animal' flew for some time before entering on an old abandoned cabin. It was made of wood and nature was growing on it. Oscar slowed down as he watched the girl mindlessly enter the place. Something about it seemed off but he entered nonetheless.

Inside the cabin he saw the girl entering a strange door. It was radiating light and you couldn't see the other side.

Oscar wondered slowly towards it until he was right in front of it. His left hand gently laid on the frame and his right hand tried to touch what was on the other side.

Then his head entered and he couldn't back up anymore so he fully slipped inside.

Now what.

Hello, author here. This was just an introductory chapter so there wasn't a lot going on. There's a Spanish translation called 'Que la suerte te acompañe'. Next chapter will come this week, probably. Thank you for reading.
