VIOLENCE
Chapter Summery: Successfully past the mist, Anna now begins to hear the voice as well and the effect it has on her is not the same as Elsa's experience.
Disclaimer: I don't own Elsa, Anna or any other Disney characters or locations that appear or are mentioned in this work of fiction, Disney does.
NOTE: This will be the first of what I estimate to be four parts, making this whole chapter five parts long. Conveniently, each part will include one of the Spirit encounters/fights, though Gale's wasn't much of a 'fight'. You 'may' be able to figure out where the story is going given the visions, but trust me, while Elsa and Anna will be taking the same path as the movie and hitting the major points, there are still some surprises coming, the Nokk fight isn't the last fight of this story...
Upon Elsa reaching her hand into the mist, all three watched with amazement as the wall separated like a pair of curtains. The mist didn't completely disperse though, an obscuring wall still remained in front of them, but it seemed to allow then to enter, which prompted Silvia to whistle at the result.
"You have the magic touch, Your Majesty."
Elsa looked at her hand curiously.
"Why open for me?"
Silvia walked up to Elsa's left and commented, "Well you won't find out just standing here, shall we?" before she gestured with her left hand towards the open path.
"Yeah." replied Elsa, before she looked to Anna, who smiled and nodded her head as she squeezed her hand.
"Let's go."
Elsa and Anna took the first steps towards the mist, quickly followed by Silvia, walking at Elsa's left as they enter the vision obscuring mist.
The trio calmly, though warily walked through the mist; which seemed be nothing more than a thick fog, the limited range of sight kept them alert though. However, Anna soon felt a small, subtle act from Elsa's hand in hers; rubbing her thumb along her hand while Anna gave a reassuring squeeze of her hand in return.
"Yanno..." started Anna with a smile. "While this is a little scary, ya gotta admit- this is pretty exciting." she added, attempting to lighten the tense mood. "Leaving Arendelle to follow a mystery, a voice. We'll have something to share with Rapunzel when we see her again."
A small chuckle left Elsa as she looked to Anna with a smile.
"Hopefully we'll be spared the more dangerous parts of hers."
"Or any betrayals." pointed out Anna, before she glanced to Silvia at Elsa's side, who was smiling at them and Anna pulled on Elsa's hand silently suggesting her to move to her right and pulled her hand from Elsa and placed it on Silvia's shoulder and added with a smile. "You're not leading us into a trap are you?"
Silvia briefly looked at Anna's hand on her shoulder curiously, before she smiled back.
"Of course not, what reason would I have to deceive you? I'm your ally in this adventure. Though I'm not offended that you would doubt me. It's good to have doubts when dealing with someone you don't know. I know we've just met, so my words may not mean much, but I give both of you my word that I'm on your side. I will prove that with my action."
Anna felt no sense of dishonesty from Silvia and pulled her hand back and thought...
'She is really old, maybe she can hide her lies.'
"Ok then." replied Anna.
"So..." stated Silvia. "Whose this Rapunzel?"
"A friend." answered Anna. "She's the princess of Corona. Our Father was friends with her father, King Frederic. Rapunzel and her friends went on an adventure about mysterious black rocks that were appearing in their kingdom."
"Black rocks?" questioned Silvia.
"Yeah..." replied Anna with a smile. "Turns out, there's these two stones-"
"Anna." stated Elsa. "I don't think Rapunzel would appreciate you telling this story to someone she doesn't know."
"Oh, right, sorry about that Silvia."
"That's alright." replied Silvia with a smile. "It must've been some adven-AH!"
Silvia was suddenly cut off from continuing as a force began to push them from behind.
"H-Hey!" gasped Anna. "What's going on!?"
"The entrance is closing behind us!" declared Silvia.
A force hurried the trio through the mist, even a whistling wind whipping around them. Elsa and Anna reactivity reached out their hands to each other to prevent separation, before they were swept up off their feet and briefly tumbled before they heard Silvia gasp, "Your Majesty!" as the two saw Silvia suddenly disappear in the mist.
"Silvia!" called Elsa.
Unfortunately, she was gone and with no visual reference of their surroundings, neither sister knew where they were; they could be speeding towards a tree and they'd never see it. However, almost as quickly as they were swept up, the sisters were unceremoniously propelled out of the mist and face-first to the ground, dazed, but mostly unhurt.
"Owwww!" groaned Elsa laying on the ground.
"Same here, ugh." groaned Anna as well, before she pushed herself up on her hands and knees while Elsa lifted herself into a sitting position before they both looked back to the mist wall and stood, brushing off stray leaves.
Elsa then walked to the mist and reached out her hand to it like before, but nothing happens.
"It's not responding..." commented Anna, before her eyes widened. "Don't tell me we're trapped in here!?" gasped Anna, before she quickly rushed into the mist and gasped as it repealed her, a small push that harmlessly knocked her back on her rear. "No, no, no! I didn't expect to be trapped in here!" she added, clearly panicked, before she stood and shouted at the mist. "Hey! Let us out!"
At Anna's attempt to launch a ball of fire into the mist, Elsa quickly grabbed her hand and placed her other on Anna's shoulder.
"Hey, hey..." replied Elsa. "Calm down, there's nothing we can do. We're fine as long as were together."
Elsa saw Anna extinguish the fire and a worrying sigh left her.
"We're not all together..." replied Anna, before she looked to the mist again and called out, "Silvia! Can you hear me!? Are you in there!?"
Elsa also joined in calling for their missing companion, turning away from the mist and out to the lush greenery that lay's in front of them.
"Wow... This forest is really pretty." commented Elsa as she walked a few steps from Anna, resuming her call for a few moment more, before the sisters stopped and Anna joined Elsa to her right with a wary look on her face.
"Silvia's gone, what are we gonna do?"
"We do what we came here to do; find mother and fathers ship and hopefully they're there, then we worry about getting back through the mist." replied Elsa.
"But what about Silvia?" asked Anna.
"We don't even know where she is, there's nothing we can do. I'm sure Silvia can handle herself just fine, we have to worry about ourselves right now, we're outsiders here." replied Elsa, before she whispered to Anna. "Use your magic to see if there's anyone around."
"Oh, right." replied Anna, "That would help find Silvia too without all the yelling." before she lifted her feet and removed the glass bottoms of her boats to allow her bare feet to touch the ground and her magic to reach out around her.
After a few moments, Elsa asked...
"Get anything?"
"Hmm... not yet." replied Anna. "Well the good news is there's no one in the immediate area near us, I'm just seeing animals, rabbits and birds."
"Well that's a relief." replied Elsa, before Anna gasped...
"Wait, there's a single person..." stated Anna, before pointing ahead to the side. "It's kinda fuzzy, at the edge of my range. I don't know who it could be, but they're alone, maybe it's Silvia."
"Then she got tossed pretty far from us." commented Elsa.
"Yeah..." replied Anna, before...
~AH~AHHH~AH~AHHHH~
Both sister's re-actively turned their head ahead of them, before Elsa curiously looked back to Anna.
"Did you just hear that too?"
"Y-yeah... is that the voice?" replied Anna.
"Yeah... but why can you hear it now?"
Anna began to reply, before Elsa groaned and dropped to one knee, lifting a hand up to her head.
"Again!?" gasped Anna, kneeling down to Elsa, however, Anna was soon after also struck with a throbbing in her head.
For Elsa, the event wasn't as debilitating as the first event and while there were no rapid flashes of images, a familiar vision came to her...
It was herself again, in the same burgundy dress, stepping out of one of the castles back doors close to the fjord, singing...
"~What do you want, because you've been keeping me awake.~"
Even more puzzling, this Vision Elsa's expression saddened and began to question if the person she was singing to was like her and knew she wasn't where she meant to be; before revealing that her power was growing, as she released a little of her magic and the puzzling event of her magic flying off to the surprise of this Vision Elsa as well as herself, however, Vision Elsa didn't look distressed, delightfully singing...
"~Don't you know there's a part of me that longs to go, into the unknown.~"
What followed next was a very curious sight of Vision Elsa walking into a snowy mist of her magic very similar to herself, Anna and Silvia walking through the mist of the Enchanted Forest. While Vision Elsa sang with delight, seeming to bleed over to herself as if she was experiencing the same thing, as Vision Elsa's magic recreated the trees of a forest and what looked like a pair of children playing as the voice appeared and Vision Elsa sang with it.
Vision Elsa almost seemed entranced as she released random bursts of magic, as if giving, Ahtohallan?, more of her magic to show her more, which was given as she saw curious figures take shape; two in particular was what looked like a horse galloping around her and what looked to be a pair of Marshmallows rise up. Before Vision Elsa began to chase after her magic, requesting not to leave her alone, while Elsa herself, commented lowly...
"D-Don't go..."
However, Vision Elsa failed to reach out to her magic before it dissipated, though she created many tiny crystals in the air, smaller versions of the four big ones from earlier in the morning, before the vision abruptly ends.
The vision left her wanting more...
"~AH~AHHH~AH~AHHHHH~"
"The voice, I have to find it." commented Elsa.
Anna however, saw something very strange...
She was looking at Elsa, who appeared distressed; they were in a strange barren landscape as she spoke to Elsa pleadingly...
"I just don't want you dying trying to be everything for everyone else too. Don't do this alone, let me help you, please! I don't want to lose you, Elsa."
"W-What, is going on?" groaned Anna, before she saw Elsa hug her and comment...
"I can't lose you either, Anna."
A soft, "Come on." followed from Elsa and Anna heard the delighted chuckle of Olaf, before Elsa pulled back and stepped back, then the sound of Elsa's magic was heard and Anna asked...
"Wait, what?"
Her view looking down revealed ice forming under her, before falling back in a little boat along with Olaf and speeding away from Elsa as she called out to her.
The vision abruptly ended there, leaving Anna very confused at the odd event that played out.
"~AH~AHHH~AH~AHHHHH~"
"Why show me that?" questioned Anna, before she heard Elsa in front of her comment...
"The voice, I have to find it."
Anna looked to Elsa to see her recovering from her event and Anna thought...
'Was that a warning?'
"You ok Elsa?" asked Anna, before she stood and offered her hand to Elsa to help her up.
"Yeah, you?" replied Elsa.
"Did you have another vision, like before?" asked Anna.
"Yeah, I think it was related to the first one, but I was singing."
"Heh, really?" giggled Anna, which prompted a groan from Elsa.
"Yeah, I think I was singing to Ahtohallan... wanting to go into the unknown."
"Heh, well we're certainly in the unknown." replied Anna, before she smirked at Elsa. "But wow, even in a vision, you're singing."
"Ugh, what about you?" replied Elsa as she placed her hands to her hips.
"I saw you deceive me." answered Anna.
"What!? Why!?"
"I don't know, I was saying something about not wanting you to die and not to do something alone; you agreed and hugged me, before putting me and Olaf in a little boat and sending me away."
"I'd never do that!" gasped Elsa. "At least not lie to your face."
The comment prompted a small frown from Anna.
"Wow, I'm both happy about your honesty and annoyed that you'd actually send me away."
"If we're both in danger and I can save you by sending you away, I'd do it without a second thought." replied Elsa. "I won't apologize for that."
"Well I'm not talking about a split second decision where we sacrifice ourselves." stated Anna. "I mean talking like we are now. We both agreed to do this together and if you were to just abandon that, it would really hurt, and I'd be VERY mad at you."
"I won't abandon our agreement, I promise." replies Elsa with a smile as she placed her hands on Anna's shoulders. "After-all, we also agreed to have each others back and keep each other focused on why we're here."
"Which is?" asked Anna.
"Find mother and father, and bring them home." answered Elsa.
"Good, 'cause when I came around, I heard you mention wanting to find the voice."
"Oh, right. Yeah, the call is getting stronger. It was like I was sharing in what the me in the vision was feeling. Her released magic seemed to have been taken control of and was revealing a bunch of strange images." replied Elsa.
"What kind of images." asked Anna. "Could you recognize any?"
"Yeah, I was as clear as us standing here now; That Elsa walked though a mist; like we did and her magic re-created trees and there were kids playing."
"Like your dream this morning." commented Anna.
"That wasn't the only similarity." stated Elsa. "At the end, that me created a whole bunch of crystals, tiny versions of the four big ones in my room."
"Weird... was there anything else?"
"Yeah..." replied Elsa, before she closed her eyes in brief thought. "Her magic showed her... fire dancing around her, then what looked like a horse, followed by a pair of things that looked just like Marshmallow, which changed into what I'm guessing is the wind with leaves whirling around."
"Super weird..." commented Anna curiously, "Fire, a horse, marshmallow and wind. Fire and Wind were symbols on those crystals. Father's story mentioned the Northuldra live with spirits, what if the spirits are some sort of elemental spirits?"
"Hmm, I guess..." replied Elsa.
"So there's Fire and Wind, what would the horse and marshmallow represent?"
"Well, the marshmallow-looking things looked bulky and kinda rocky, so, maybe Earth?" commented Elsa.
"So that leaves the horse being water." replied Anna with a smile. "Ohhh, a Water horse, I'd love to see that! I wonder what it would do if you made a horse with your magic."
"Hehe, I don't know if that would be appropriate." replied Elsa with a smirk, before she added, "Honestly though, I do feel a desire to go to Ahtohallan after that vision, but Mother and Father is why were here, that's the goal."
"Hmm, yeah, if Elemental spirits are on the Northuldra's side, it would be best if we avoid them all." commented Anna. "But it's weird... You're being called with visions of you singing, yet my vision seems like a warning... like it's telling me not follow the voice, but we're locked in here, we can't escape."
"Yeah, very odd." replied Elsa. "Why not just allow me in and reject you and Silvia?"
"Well we don't know for sure if Silvia was actually kicked out or not." stated Anna.
"Can you still see that person? Where are they now?" asked Elsa.
"Hmm..." replied Anna, before a curious expression came to her face. "I don't see them. But they were at the edge of my range..." she added, before beginning to walk ahead, joined by Elsa.
"If it's not Silvia, they couldn't have gotten far." commented Elsa.
"Yeah, but let's..." replied Anna, before the two heard what was clearly the wind to their right and the rustling of the trees before they began to feel a strong gust of wind pushing against them.
"This is feeling awfully familiar." commented Elsa.
The two then gasped as they saw a relatively small, though still scary whirlwind heading towards them.
"Seriously!?" gasped Anna. "A tornado!"
"Don't just stand there!" declared Anna, before she took Anna's hand and attempted to run away.
However, the pull of the whirlwind was too strong as they were quickly lifted off the ground. Elsa though, fired her magic into the ground as an anchor as she quickly grabbed hold of the icy pillar. Unfortunately, almost as soon as Elsa was secure, a sizable hunk of tree hit and shattered her anchor, prompting a scream from the sisters as the whirlwind claimed them.
- Meanwhile -
"Ahhh, Oof!"
Silvia groaned as she landed on her rear, before standing and rubbing her butt.
"Ugh, well that was unexpected." muttered Silvia, before she brushed some stray leaves and twigs from herself and her hair as she looked around. "Now where am I and where are those sisters?"
Silvia then extended her left hand out in front of her as her hand glows with a black energy, however, she tilted her head in curiosity as nothing happened.
"Hmm, my magic is being blocked... Interesting." commented Silvia, before looking back to the mist wall behind her. "I'm stuck here; well, this possibility wasn't entirely unexpected. Probably could've let those sister's know though."
Silvia then revealed and flexes her wings.
"Well, time to go find them."
However, upon Silvia lifting herself off the ground, she heard a whistle on the wind before she gasped as an unexpected strong gust of wind was caught by her wings and disturbed her balance, sending her falling back to the ground with an annoyed groan, before wind swept under her wings and lifted her back up into the air.
"Hey! Cut it out!" declared Silvia, before the wind suddenly went away, prompting her to gasp as she dropped back to the ground. Silvia retracted her wings and quickly lifted herself up on her hands and knees with an annoyed look on her face.
"Ugh, a wind spirit!" commented Silvia, before she returned to her feet and saw leaves swirl around her. "Guess I'm not flying either, on foot it is then." replied Silvia before she began walking, moving through the light swirl of wind, ignoring it.
The wind didn't seem to follow, but moments later, Silvia felt another presence behind her and looked back and saw nothing, before movement to her right caught her attention and managed to see a ball of fire harmlessly jumping from tree to tree.
"Now a Fire Spirit..." muttered Silvia. "The Queen is the one being called, shouldn't you two be bothering her?"
However, the Fire Spirit soon spirals down a nearby tree and nears Silvia, before she saw it appeared to be a small animal engulfed in flames, which prompted a fearful gasp from Silvia and quickly backed away.
"Hey! Hey! That's close enough!" declared Silvia as she saw a small lizard looking up at her. "Ugh, I'm glad those two aren't here to see this." before Silvia yelped as the lizard crawled closer, prompted her to hop back. "H-Hey! I said that's close enough!"
Seeming to pick up on her vulnerability, the fiery lizard, sped towards her, and Silvia quickly turned and ran with a gasp.
"AH! Stop! Why are you following me!? There's a human with fire magic who'd love to met you, I'm sure!"
Moments into her fearful escape, Silvia saw a small body of water ahead of her and ran towards it; however, looking back, Silvia gasped as she saw the lizard flying through the air at her.
"Now your working together!? Why me!?"
However, not looking where she was going, Silvia suddenly trips on a rock, causing her to fall and slide a short distance, before she quickly turned around to see the Fire Spirit no longer there, or any trace of the Wind Spirit, though she quickly looked back, again, nothing except for the water in front of her and sighed, before she returned to her feet.
"Ugh, mischievous spirits and vermin." muttered Silvia as she brushed the dirt from her clothing. "Show yourself again lizard and that's gonna be the last seconds of your life!"
Brushing the last bits of dirt from her clothing, Silvia noticed movement in the water, before what appeared to be a horse swim up to but not through the water's surface.
"Well... hello there." commented Silvia curiously, before she saw the horse rise up from the water, seemingly composed of water itself as it fully revealed itself to stand on the water and Silvia smiled. "Finally, one of you I can touch and isn't vermin."
"You are not meant to be here, demon." spoke the horse, as it walked from the water and began to circle around Silvia so that she was between it and the water.
"Oh, I'm not?" asked Silvia with a smirk, before the horse neared her and its glowing blue eyes stared into Silvia's, who stared right back. "I know what you are. The Nokk; a fearsome water spirit with command of the sea and weather, and the supposed guardian of Ahtohallan." added Silvia, before she grinned. "A storm from nowhere, waves that seemed to have a mind of their own... Are you the one that made those sisters orphans?"
"Do not interfere." demanded the Nokk.
"With?"
"The Fifth Spirit's trials."
"The Fifth Spirit? You mean the Queen?" asked Silvia. "Interesting, so they DO have a connection, and what about the Princess?"
"She is not our concern."
"Oh really?" replied Silvia with a frown and crossing her arms over her chest. "Those two are here to find their parents, not play your games. I agreed to be their personal guard; I will not let them come to harm. And if I'm such an issue, why am I still here, why not just kick me out?"
"You were an unexpected entity." answered Nokk. "Once past the mist, you cannot leave."
"Until the 'Fifth Spirit' does what ever it is you want her to do, am I right? Or should I say, whatever it is Ahtohallan wants her to do."
"It is not my purpose to entertain you with conversation." stated Nokk. "Do not interfere with the tests." it added. "Or they will never retrieve their parents."
"You motherfucker..." scowled Silvia with a frown. "So their parents ARE here. Where are they? Is Ahtohallan behind this or are you acting on your own?"
Silvia then saw the Wind Spirit appear to her left and quickly swirl into a whirlwind.
"Hey, no! I'm not done talking to you!" declared Silvia.
"But I am." stated Nokk, before Silvia gasped as the whirlwind approached and swept Silvia up with a gasp, tumbling around as she declared...
"You haven't even told me what counts as interfering or what the tests are!"
Silvia heard no other reply, but repeatedly batted away random debris also getting sucked up into the whirlwind. However, after a few moments of tumbling at the mercy of the whirlwind and fending off dirt and tree branches to varying levels of success, she heard the familiar sounds of Anna and Elsa's voices. Soon, the two sisters enter the whirlwind, tumbling around as well with gasps of confusion.
"Silvia!?" gasped Anna as she caught sight of the woman.
"Hey you two!" greeted Silvia.
"What's going on!?" asked Elsa.
"Meet the annoying Wind Spirit!" replied Silvia
"Well I'd like to introduce myself..." commented Anna, as she trembled backwards and spinning, she lost all reference to what was up and down, before she felt a lurch of her stomach and covered her mouth. "Ohhh, I feel like I'm gonna throw up!"
"Try to hold it in!" replied Silvia, before she tested her magic, her hands glowing with a black energy.
However, Elsa's tumbling wasn't as uncontrolled as Anna's, which allowed her to see a sizable piece of a tree rush past her and towards Anna, busy trying to keep the contents of her stomach where they were. Re-actively, Elsa extended her left hand out to blast the debris away, however, aiming her hand in Anna's direction, the memory of striking Anna when they were kids suddenly came to her and caused her to hesitate. Elsa's hesitation was just long enough for her to see Anna be struck in the head and go limp.
"No!" gasped Elsa as she felt the tears coming as her inaction caused Anna's injury.
"I got her!" declared Silvia, before Elsa saw Silvia propel herself like an arrow towards Anna with her magic, grabbed her and carried her out of the whirlwind.
Left alone and wanting to get to Anna, Elsa fires her magic out trying to create an opening or disturb the wind in some way to free herself, but her magic seemed to do nothing, although she did see her ice linger, spinning around the walls of the whirlwind.
"I can freeze you." stated Elsa, before she briefly focused and gathered her magic in her hands, before extending them out to her left and right, firing continuous jets of her ice at the walls of the whirlwind.
The effect was rapid, Elsa could see the blue of her magic surrounding her, before she suddenly felt her weightlessness come to an end and fall. Elsa managed to fall to a kneeling position, but it was enough of a surprise that Elsa saw the dome of wind closing in around her and groaned as she put more effort in and pushed back the wind from enveloping her, which was now starting to look more ice and snow than wind.
"You will not keep me from Anna!" declared Elsa, before she slowly stood from her kneeling position. "Why are you doing this!?" she added, before Elsa heard the sounds of children giggling and noticed movement from above, the ceiling of the dome where she saw and a snowy image of a girl running. "What the..."
The young girl was soon replaced with a young boy, a closer view of him and Elsa gasped...
"Father?"
It was proven as she heard a mans voice call his name, before she heard the sound of a sword being unsheathed to her left, followed by a battle-cry and an arm swinging a sword, before a familiar face appeared, as if looking at her, declaring...
"For Arendelle!"
"Grand-father..."
To Elsa's relief, she soon heard Anna call to her from outside.
"Elsa! You ok in there!?"
"Yeah! What about you!?" asked Elsa.
"I'm good."
"Thank goodness! I sorry Anna!" called Elsa.
"Apologize later, get out of there!"
"Ok, Ok!" answered back Elsa, before she saw the dome begin to close around her again, the mysterious images distracting her delayed her attempt to free herself and she was tiring. 'Maybe I should've joined Anna in practicing my magic.' thought Elsa, before she grit her teeth and pushed through, drawing on her determination to embrace Anna again, pushing back against the wind.
She began to hear more voices, yelling, fighting, even The Voice, but Elsa closed her ears to it and focused, reaching for one last push and gave a yell as she put all her energy into a burst of magic, successfully breaking through the wind, before she dropped to her hands and knees from exertion.
"Elsa!"
Elsa heard Anna rush to her and Elsa smiled.
"I'm fine." replied Elsa. "Just a little out of it." she added, before she sat up to look at Anna and gasped as she saw a small trail of blood down the left side of her head. "You're bleeding!"
"It's just a scratch, I'm fine." replied Anna with a smile, before Elsa gave a concerned smile as she lowered her gaze.
"I'm sorry, I could've saved you from getting hurt, but then I remembered hitting you with my magic and I hesitated, I was worried I'd miss and hit you; but you still got hurt."
"It's fine, really. I don't blame you." replied Anna, before Silvia commented...
"Uh, not to interrupt, but a few things here require some attention."
Elsa and Anna lift their gazes and noticed not only were they no longer near the mist wall they passed through; in a location with thick foliage around them, clearly deeper into the forest, but a number of strange ice statues circled them.
"What the..." commented Elsa, as she stood, which Anna helped her to her feet as they looked around to the statues.
"There's people..." commented Anna, "Solders..." she added, walking up to one of the solder statues. "I think they're Arendelle solders." stated Anna as she saw the statue's attire, its shield up and sword raised in aggression.
"And I think these are Northuldra..." commented Elsa, walking to the opposite side to one of the unknown figures, a woman, brandishing a staff, while another, a male, took aim with a bow and arrow.
Curiously, there weren't just human statues, a random wheel of a wagon, a fire pit with the fire frozen in motion and bust-like statues of reindeer. Elsa's eyes were soon drawn to a horse, rearing up on its back legs.
"These are all so dynamic..." commented Elsa, reaching her right hand up to stroke the ice horses neck. "Like frozen moments in time."
"They may be." commented Silvia, kneeling down to the fire pit and looking it over.
"What?" Questioned Anna.
"This forest is home to magical spirits." replied Silvia. "There's magical energy everywhere here, even in the water. Water can hold the memories of a particular area and be accessed by those who know how. However, there was no water around, except from you, Your Majesty."
"Me? Water?" Questioned Elsa, while Anna looked at her curiously. "I control Ice and Snow, not water."
Silvia sighed and thought, 'Is this what Nokk was talking about? THAT was a trial? Testing what she can do? Develop her power? Does she have the power to access memories, knowledge, like Ahtohallan?'
"That's just frozen water." stated Silvia, before she stood and looked to Elsa. "Do you really think your limited to just ice and snow?"
"I..." started Elsa with a confusion, "I never considered the possibility of my power being anything more than ice and snow."
Silvia then added...
"Ice and Snow are just a form of water. You created these... memories, you have an undeniable connection to this place. While separated from you two, I encountered three of the spirits and was told you will be tested."
"Me?" asked Elsa. "Why?"
"I don't know." replied Silvia. "I was told not to interfere, or else you won't find your parents." she added, which prompted a gasp from Elsa and Anna.
"Our parents are really here!?" asked Anna.
"Apparently so, but that's all the information I got before the Wind Spirit picked me up. So while I'm handicapped from what I can do, I said I will be your guard, and I will protect you, both of you."
"Thanks." replied Anna, before Elsa added...
"Yeah, thank you... Mother and Father are actually here somewhere. This journey isn't pointless, I'll face what ever test these spirits have for me to get to them."
"Not alone you won't." stated Anna, taking Elsa's left hand in her right, which prompted a smile from each sister. "We face it together."
"Good." stated Silvia with a smile. "Her Highness was not mentioned in not interfering. So it's best for you two to stay together."
"Well that's a given!" replied Anna with a smile.
"Also, just so you two know..." stated Silvia, walking towards the two. "My portals are being blocked. So we really are trapped here."
"Well that sucks." replied Anna.
"You're just gonna have to play the spirits games." stated Silvia. "I'll help were I can, but I'm sure I'll be stopped from helping too much."
The trio were then a little surprised when a whistling wind swept between and around them, and Silvia muttered...
"You again..."
However, Anna gasped when she was spun around.
"No more spinning please." requested Anna, before a giggling gasp left her as her coat was flipped up over her head. "Well, you're in a better mood."
Elsa meanwhile looked annoyed, crossed her arms over her chest and commented...
"You try that on me and I'll freeze you again."
The wind swirled around Elsa briefly, before swinging her braid over in front of her face like a mustache, which, while bringing a chuckle from Anna, annoyed Elsa and she waved her hands as if shooing away an insect.
"Cut it out! You can't act all friendly and cute after what you did!"
The whistling wind then sped away, and the sisters eyed the spirits departure, which lead them to a curious statue that they didn't notice behind a bush and headed towards it.
"Whoa..." commented Anna, as they saw what looked like a pair of children, a boy and girl, being swept up in the wind, frozen wind swirling up from the ground and around the two children as the girl was holding the boy. "Talk about dynamic."
"And detailed." added Elsa. "This one is much more detailed than the others."
"Then it must be important." stated Anna as the two walked to either side of the ice statue, towards the heads; however, seeing the face of the boy, the sisters let out a small gasp.
"It's Father..." commented Elsa, placing her hand to their young father's shoulder, before Anna lifted her gaze to face of the girl holding him.
"This girl, it looks like she's saving him. Didn't Father mention someone saving him in his story?"
"Yeah..." Replied Elsa, lifting her gaze to girl as well. "I don't recognize her though, but her clothing..."
"It's the same as the other one, the Northuldra." commented Anna. "This girl, is Northuldra? ... but it looks like she's saving Father."
"Why would a Northuldra save an Arendelle prince if they were fighting?" questioned Elsa.
"Wait..." stated Anna, moving her hand to a familiar garment the Northuldra girl wore. "This scarf she's wearing, doesn't it look the same as-"
