Written for the 'Flufftober 2021' Prompt 20: Secret Crush

Notes:

Helloo,
if someone liked 'Who's got you?', Flufftober was the perfect occasion for this.
Actually, it's already happened with 'Come fly with me' (you need to read that one to understand this story) and 'Chess la vie' (this story contain a tiny reference to it) but since no one seemed to remotely care about those two stories, I have no expectations for this one, either :'(
Although I had much fun writing it.

Not your greatest virtue

"You, degenerate daughter," Bellatrix bursts into the teenage's room with the rage of a hurricane. "Did you really think you could throw an Oblivion at Dolohov without us noticing?"

Delphi has the same expression as a baby deer caught by headlights.

"But how ...?" She backs away frightened, but knows that there is no Apparition she can take to escape the anger of her mother.
Mostly because she still has to learn Apparitions.

"Your father is the greatest Dark Wizard of all time and you are really wondering how? For Salazar! You just have to tell me why, what made you do something as reckless as skipping a lesson, a Dark Arts class, nonetheless! "

"Are You telling me, Mother, that if it had been a Herbology class you wouldn't have made a big deal about it?" the daughter bites back, dodging a Stunning from Bellatrix just in time.

"Shut up, you, insolent! It is certainly no mystery who you inherited that snake tongue from! "

"Exactly, just as I must have also inherited his resourcefulness!" the teenager increases the dose.

"Don't try to be smart with me, you, manipulative little Witch and don't think I've forgotten our main talk!" Bellatrix is back on the warpath. "Tell me why you did it!"

Delphi instantly loses her swaggering attitude.

"Because, Mother, I ..."

"Yes?"

"I fell in love." confesses the teenager.

Now it is Bellatrix who appears to have been hit by a Stunning Spell, but she was unable to dodge it.

"You, you fell ...?"

"You heard right, Mother." the teenager gains a little more courage.

"Oh well ... your age after all is the proper one ... and it is normal that between school desks you can have a crush on a classmate ..." the mother proves strangely reasonable.

"I have not a crush on one of my classmates!" Delphi informs her.

A double Stunning Spell for Bellatrix, who nearly falls off the bed where she sat.

"Salazar! Delphi, don't try to tell me you fell in love with ... Dolohov? " she is almost afraid to ask her, relieved when she sees Delphi react with the most disgusted of expressions.

"Eeewww, no! How does that come to your mind, Mother? If I liked him, why would I ever have to put him under Oblivion? "

"What do I know? Love has no logic; don't you know how many Cruciatus Curses your father subjected me to? It was his way of wooing me, as a matter of fact, Barty was so jealous! " Bellatrix chuckles at the memory.

"You Death Eaters are all a little crazy!" the girl twists a finger around her temple.

"Be careful, Missy, one day you too will become a Death Eater!" her mother reminds to her.

"I know, but for now it's still early and it would make the wait much less traumatic for me not to have my mind filled with images of You and my Father not suitable for an audience of minors, thank you!" she snorts.

"Let's recap, Delphi: you said you didn't fall in love with a classmate or a teacher ..." Bellatrix reflects, before taking her by the shoulders and shaking her violently. "Salazar! You didn't fall in love with a Muggle, did you ?! Swear to me it's not like that! "

"I fell in love with a vampire!" Delphi decides to confess, exasperated. "Or rather a vampiress."

The smile that Bellatrix shows her almost unsettles her.

"You could have said right away that you fancy Jane!"

"Are You really okay with that?" the daughter frowns.

"Have you seen before the alternatives that alarmed me the most?" her mother makes her smile. "In comparison, this is a kind of blessing."

"Since I see You in such a good mood ... can we say nothing to the Dark Lord and keep my crush a secret?" Delphi looks for a little complicity with her.

"Hiding things from your father is not your greatest virtue and then it would be extremely counterproductive ... you know what? I'll go and talk to him right away!" Bellatrix decides, getting out of bed.

"Are You sure He will react well?"

"Consolidate the alliance with the Volturi and have a suitor of such prestige for His daughter? He will be extremely pleased! " she guarantees, going to the door.

"Mother?" the teenager calls her, before she walks away.

"Yup?"

"May I have an Oblivion to forget what you told me earlier about the different use of the Cruciatus Curse?"

-

"You realize you interrupted me in the middle of a very important meeting, about someone claiming to have seen Potter, right, Bella?" Voldemort looks at her coldly, following her to a more secluded corner of his home.

"I am more than aware of it, my Lord, but if I did it it's because I felt pretty confident that the matter was of perhaps even greater importance!" Bellatrix explains, bowing to him respectfully.

"Well, I'm listening to you."

"Delphi fell in love…"

"What ?! I expected much more criteria from my lieutenant, do you really think I could care about this fourth-rate gossip? " he yells.

"Yes, my Lord, when you know who it is." Bellatrix challenges him with her gaze, without wavering for a moment.

"A message for you, Mr. Volturi, from Lord Voldemort, "the servant takes a bow, before handing Aro the folded and sealed sheet, placed on a silver saucer.

"Aro, did you really have to find such an efficient and impeccable servant? It's been nearly five years that she has served here and she hasn't made a single mistake yet, so I can't have fun with her! " snorts Barty, sitting on the arm of his Sire's black and gold throne.

"You will find other ways to have fun, puppy," Aro replies, putting his mouth to his ear. "I can give you one, if you wait for me in our bedroom later." he whispers, filling him with expectations. "Judith is untouchable, she's not part of our deal about the ten citizens who I allow you to kill every year." he declares, dismissing the precious Judith.

"What does my Dark Lord write? Has the damned Potter been spotted? " Barty is interested, peeking at the letter Aro has opened and is reading.

"None of this, my dear. He wants us to have dinner with him, in two days. "informs Aro, moving away to continue reading alone." All of us, the invitation is extended to all the Volturi, especially Jane. " Aro continues.

"To me?" asks the vampiress, not far from them, who despite being intent on talking to her brother has heard her name mentioned.

"Oh, dear Jane, it seems that maybe your secret crush is no longer so secret ..." Barty chuckles, who has already understood everything.

"What secret crush?" Aro frowns, while, if only she could, Jane would turn as red as a tomato.

"Oh yeah, love, it's true, you still don't know ..." his Childe grins. "Well, you'll find out in two days. "

"What if I don't want to wait?" Aro snarls threateningly.

"Then you'll have to be very, very good at torturing me, to get my confession out!" Barty challenges him, with his rapid tongue slipping out of his lips several times.

.- -

"Jane and Delphi ?!" Aro repeats astonished, hours after an intense sex session, naked, on a Barty, equally naked but also chained, bleeding, full of cuts, bruises, burns and bites, smiling in full ecstasy, nodding.

"Oh, now this explains a lot of things!" smiles Aro, kissing him. "In a minute you will be as good as new, get dressed and follow me!" he orders, recovering his own clothes.

Not much later Jane sees the two get close to her.

"My dear, dearest Jane ..." begins Aro, looking at her in a way that makes her restless.

"Y-yes?"

"When were you waiting to tell me about you and Voldemort's daughter?" his face darkens.

"Forgive me, Jane, but he tortured me too well," Barty moans, his memories still fresh.

Aro's face lights up with a broad smile.

"But that's wonderful!" He rejoices clapping his hands once. "Of course we have to prepare for the event, don't think for a moment that we can make you go there in that sad dark tunic."

"But Delphi likes me in my sad dark robes!" Jane digs in her heels before being dragged by the two lovers to the nearest boutique.

- -

The two carriages, one with onboard Aro, Barty and Jane, the other with onboard Caius, Marcus and Alec quickly reach their destination.

Outside the Riddle Manor Delphi is in lonely and anxiously waiting.

"I don't understand why you didn't want to come here aboard the broom, with me!" Barty mutters.

"Puppy, one thing is a scenic ride to Volterra, another is a flight from one state to another ..." Aro replies.

"I would have been faster than a silly Muggle plane!" grumbles his Childe.

"Barty, don't insist!"

While the two lovers bicker, Jane took the opportunity to get off the car and run to meet who is now in effect her girlfriend.

She is also very different from his usual, wearing a dress that is a meeting between blue and silver, made shimmering by some suitable spells. The skirt is long and wide with a silver belt at the waist, the sweetheart neckline supported by two very thin straps, is very open, but her shapes are still too unripe to reveal anything .

"You look beautiful," Jane murmurs, kissing her.

"Look who's talking!" exclaims Delphi, as she parts to admire her better.

Jane wears a burgundy cocktail dress, with a modern cut, with the skirt that creates soft waves, longer at the back, thus leaving her knees uncovered. In the precious fabric there are inlaid roses. The neckline is straight and strapless, leaving her all the cleavage exposed.

But the most striking novelty is the hair, left loose for once, with long curls that fall below her shoulders.

"You too have been forced to dress appropriately for this dinner? " whispers Delphi, who in that dress, though wonderful, does not feel very at ease.

"Don't get me started!" Jane rolls her ruby eyes.

"Is it possible to know what you two are up to? You will have time to be together," Aro chuckles, before greeting the offspring of the Riddles' house with the affable manners that distinguish him.

"Hello, Godfather!" Delphi approaches Barty.

"Hello Goddaughter!" replies the young vampire.

Everything between them is much more informal.

"So, do you always torture and kill Muggles?" she asks intrigued.

"Not all the ones I want, but, yeah, I can't complain!" Barty shrugs, hugging his Sire.

Delphi also greets the rest of the Volturi and leads them into the living room, where Bellatrix and Voldemort await them.

"My Lord!" Barty kneels in front of him. "I always keep an extremely good watch on your Horcrux."

"I know and I am delighted, my boy. Get up." Voldemort comments and he does, then turns his gaze to Bellatrix.

"Oh, but look at you, my blood works wonders. I dare say you look even younger than the last time I saw you." he smiles at her.

"Thank you again for such generous help. After all, I promised our Dark Lord that I would never grow old!" she smiles at him.

"Finally I see that you two get along in love and well together." comments the Dark Lord, smiling, before drastically changing his expression. "You are sickly, where have your sparks gone?" He adds, with the two most loyal Death Eaters who return the dog and cat they have always been and their sparks can also be seen from their wands.

In all this Voldemort, amused, as he prepares to welcome the rest of his guests.

-

In the middle of the dinner, Barty proposes a toast.
Needless to say, there is no wine in the glass of more than half of the diners.

" To Delphi and Jane, who will further consolidate our precious alliance! " Barty raises his glass, waiting for others to do it, while the two protagonists of the toast prefer to kiss.

"I think this union is perfect for many reasons," continues Barty. "The attachment they both have for their family, there's nothing they wouldn't do to protect it, their amazing powers, ancient and increasingly consolidated, Jane, still a little bit immature but already amazing, Delphi, and there's no wonder, considering whose daughter she is, "she winks at the Dark Lord. "And let's not forget their cruelty and sadism, qualities that are certainly no less important." Barty concludes with a sneer, before everyone drinks.

"Delphi, have you already decided which of the two worlds you want to belong to?" her father investigates.

"Oh well, both of us, like Uncle Barty did." Delphi replies, without thinking about it for too long.

She likes to affectionately call him that.

"My darling, have you decided whether you want the Dark Mark or the bite of un-life first?" Aro is interested.

"Oh well, this is not discussed, first the Dark Mark, I know you vampires, once transformed it is no longer possible to change yourself in any way!" Bellatrix protests, with the full consent of her husband.

"But ... isn't it a bit early to decide all these things right now?" Delphi comments.

"After all, we just got together and I plan to hang out with her for the next two, three or even four years as she is, without any changes ..." Jane explains, putting an arm around her girlfriend's waist.

"It is never too early to discuss these details, Delphi, as well as the time you will spend in Volterra and the time you will spend here helping me…" explains Voldemort.

"Well, then while you're deliberating, with Your permission, Your daughter and I are going to get some fresh air!" Jane takes leave, taking Delphi with her.

"Now that she's not here, you can say it ..." Bellatix turns to her husband.

"Say what?" he frowns.

"That even if she was conceived only with the intent of being able to guarantee You continuity and as a sort of plan B in case things go wrong, over time You have grown fond of Delphi, at least a little."

"I don't ..." he mumbles.

"I know You too well, my Lord, for You to hide it from me. If it's any consolation, I am also fond of her. " she confesses.

"Let's say that this situation strengthens my cause to know that within a few years Delphi will guarantee immortality." comments Voldemort, with cold detachment.

Bellatrix knows that in the language of the Dark Lords it means 'I am glad my daughter has found someone who will take care of her for eternity.' , but obviously she certainly does not dare to point it out to him.

Meanwhile, the girls take their well-deserved break.

"So, can you explain to me what happened?" Jane asks as they sit on the pebbles.

"I still haven't figured out what mistake I made, but my parents knew about the Professor I had put under Oblivion to be with you a few weeks ago and ... this is how they reacted." the other explains.

"With this huge engagement dinner, almost as if we were going to get married tomorrow. Aren't you a bit scared of how much everyone is running? " the vampire asks her.

In response, Delphi hugs and kisses her.

"We are only at the beginning of our journey together, Jane, do you really think the first few kilometers can scare me?" she smiles at her, resting her head on her shoulder. "Yes, sure, I'm not ready for the bite of un-life yet, but I was wondering ... is there any chance to try a bite of those that don't have eternal consequences?" she asks, intrigued.

Jane bursts out laughing.

"Yes, my Delphi, I think we can talk about it ... maybe one evening when we have less audience!"

When they return, the two girls resume their seats at the table, as if nothing had happened, while the time for debates seems to be over.

"Well, Barty, I guess now I can tell you." Jane begins, while the elves are serving the cake.

Well, for those who can eat dessert.

"Tell me what?" the most inexperienced vampire frowns.

"I've had a huge secret crush on you, for at least a few years!" the vampire confesses to him, but does not see in him the astonished look she expected.

Nor does she see it in Aro, Caius, Marcus, even Alec and… also Bellatrix and Voldemort?

"Wait a minute ... did you all already know?" she asks puzzled, and then notices how her girlfriend is looking at her. "But, Delphi, you weren't even born yet!"

"I know, but they told me!" chuckles the young witch.

"That's right," her mother backs her up.

"Jane, my dear," Aro addresses her. "Let's say that discretion is certainly not your greatest virtue!"

THE END
